Thanks to Jovan and darkness for the heads up.
Biblical saga Of Kings and Prophets is set to undergo retooling, including casting changes In another setback for the costume drama, I hear its order has been cut from 13 to 10 episodes. Getting recast is the role of Joab, played in the pilot by Tomer Kapon, with another possible change for the role of Merav, played by Alex McGregor.

Of Kings and Prophets received mixed reactions at the upfront, and it was a late delivery, with the completed pilot not screened before the network set its fall 2015 schedule. ABC had had big plans for the costume drama, which hired a showrunner and set up a writers room with an eye toward a series order ahead of the network’s May pickups, but the network brass appear to be cooling off on the show whose fate is in limbo.

    Poor? It looked awful from the trailer and I was really dreading watching the pilot. Thankfully ABC saved us from that misery by not releasing the original pilot screener, it must have been really bad. That's why you don't order a show before even watching the pilot.

    Deadline previously said that it was being retooled, but they have removed that from the article and are now only mentioning the casting changes.

    They should just air it as a limited series when the regular shows are on winter break. It's only 10 episodes. This is why I don't trust ABC. They have no idea what they are doing.

    Wouldn't ABC rather get rid of the low rated comedies between 8pm and 9pm, move Shark Tank to 8pm and place Beyond The Tank at 9pm. Both shows get higher ratings than Last Man Standing and there's no point putting another low rated comedy at 8:30pm.

    If the rumor is true, then Beyond The Tank will air in the fall on tuesdays at 10 and Wicked City will take over mid-season. Quantico will air in the fall on sundays at 10 and The Family will take over mid-season.

    Like the above article said, ABC didn't even watch the finished pilot but I had high hopes for it.
    I passed on the (potential) show when it got a pilot order and I read the logline. Biblical shows are big no for me..

    I actually pretty much made a promise with myself to watch every show pilot provided, no matter how awful I think the trailer is, and I don't really regret watching the 3 show pilots I mentioned above. That plan on continuing to watch any of those show when the premiere, tho.

    Eh, the trailer did nothing for me. I know I shouldn't judge based on the trailer only, but I honestly didn't feel appealed to watch it. It would need amazing reviews for me to be curious to check it out

    Yes me too, Quantico is one of the shows I am looking forward to the most. Blood and Oil merely gets a pilot check, it is quite different.

    I think there could be shows that could reverse the luck of the slots. I mean, Empire came out of nowhere and crowned itself after Red Band Society flopped there, so it could happen.
    But historically speaking, it's a hard timeslot, an uphill battle
