    Falling Skies had all of the Revolutionary War References with Wylie being a history teacher and calling their group the Second Mass. Colony seems more like the French Resistance during World War II.

    I'm not sure if the casual viewer is going to be able to recognize homages to separate wars and not just sense similar themes and ideas.

    Even I'm extremely skeptical that this isn't going to just be Falling Skies with a different (and hopefully stronger) cast.
