No one. Why does a great show like The 100 even need characters to be shipped? It's totally different to other CW shows and I'd quite like it to remain that way.
I'm kind of ok with anything (the only one I don't want is Bellarke). Maybe I want Monty to finally have someone (Harper xD) BTW: Raven and Quint? Shouldn't it be Raven and Wick?
I saw someone say that yesterday about shipping people and it just made me laugh sooo hard: "Stop shipping real people... or at least poke holes in the box"
Anyway, Octavia and Lincoln for me. Who's Echo? o_o
Is "Quint" supposed to be Wick, or did I miss a person at some point?
I voted for Lincoln/Octavia and Bellamy/Clarke. I like Lincoln and Octavia as a couple and how their relationship is well integrated into the main plot. It never feels forced to me, which I appreciate. And I really like Bellamy and Clarke's chemistry and their scenes are always great, so if either of them are going to get with somebody, I'd rather it be each other.
I ship Jonty now too, because it just occurred to me that's their shipper name and it sounds like "jaunty" and I love that. This fandom has terrible shipper names, but I like this one. It sounds so chipper. :D
I really like Bellamy and Clarke, in the way that I will read pretty much all the fic I can find. But on the show itself I don't really care who ends up with whom. I am totally in love with their dynamic though and wish they would stop. separating. them. goddammit.
Anyway, I do support the Lincoln and Octavia relationship, especially because they are still their own people and not defined by each other.
I think there's something interesting in the future for Clarke and Lexa. I ship them, yes also after the betrayal. But really I think shipping isn't really important in this show.
Excellent! Except that I like both Jonty and Princess Mechanic. Everything else ranges from "eh" to terrible, though. I also like the surprising fan couple I found out is a thing - Miller and Monty. They're Minty! I love it. Monty has most of the good shipper names.
Honestly, didn't know it was a thing. But I love Miller and I love Monty, so I'm up for it, and more screen time for the both would be good regardless.
I don't ship in the sense that I don't need a couple hooking up to enjoy the show, but I'd be fine with Bellamy and Clarke being a couple since it has been developed right and as such it would be an organic and natural relationship as opposed as many forced on screen couples
I hate shipping and I hate shipper mashed up names. The only couple on this list is Lincoln and Octavia so I am happy they are in love and strong together. It doesn't mean there won't be another couple in the future but it's not something I care about. I'm clearly in the minority but I am happy with that.
Well the thing is shows don't necessarily create shipping. The 100 did not create the ships. It's the engaging audience. Given there are shows who have been created to cater shipping and even live off that. Imo the some shows try to move on from this image, like The 100, but Marketing of CW has to meddle with it. imo why we had the Finn/Clark/Raven triangle in the first place.
The 100/Survival -- I want to see more of the day to day challenges of fighting mutated animals, figuring out food and water sources and dealing with people/things left over from the nuclear war.
I ship Linctavia, Wicken and Bellarke but they are not the only reason I watch. This show is just so much more than Romance which makes it so much better but I still love the couples I ship. :)
Clarke/Lexa. I find their dynamics to be most interesting. I don't think they will ever be a "couple" though, because of their positions of power in the show and the trust that Clarke doesn't have in Lexa anymore. But it was great to see them together in season 2.
I'd like to see Bellamy develop more of a connection with Raven, because I think they'd make great friends, and who knows, somewhere down the line, a couple maybe.
I enjoy Bellamy/Clarke but I don't get a romantic vibe between the two. At least not yet. Maybe that'll change, maybe it won't.
Haha Lexa stans just post these polls in their feed and go nuts. I seriously wonder if they even like Clarke. My votes for Octavia and Lincoln since they are the only couple on the show. Well I guess Raven&Wick too but I don't know enough about Wick to really be invested. How about the next poll is season 3 predictions or something which is much more enjoyable than couples! I for one would like to see s3 begin with Clarke & ... MURPHY.. "coupled up" to rein in Jaha & take down the AI!
I love Bellamy and Clarke but I'm undecided if I want them to be canon or not. Funny thing is, I realized of all the couples on the show; not one of the ones I 'ship' are canon - which probably means that I don't enjoy the way these particular writers write romance. I never like Lincoln/Octavia (him locking her up in his cave and them kissing like 2 episodes later?? Kinda stockholm syndrome-y), never cared for Raven/Wick (love of her life had died two weeks prior and this extremely older dude has sex with her and then shames her for not wanting to be in a relationship with him), don't like Finn/Clarke or Raven/Clarke (obvious reasons... cheating is the quickest way to turn me off a ship) and I'm indifferent to Clarke/Lexa (the love is weakness trope bored me a little tbh). The only couples on this show that I 'ship' are Bellamy/Clarke, Raven/Clarke and Monty/Miller, so maybe it's a blessing if none of these couples ever become canon so that way I won't be disappointed hahaha.

If we're talking online daily statistics, then actually Bellarke beats Clexa in terms of general popularity based off twitter, instagram, vine, youtube and a03. But in this particular poll (which has been making it's way around the Clexa tumblrs etc) then yeah, Clexa are winning but I don't think it's generally accurately representative of the fanbase. Well, Clexa beats Bellarke in every poll they ever competed. The reason is simple. Clexa actually happened, Bellarke is just wishful thinking. So while Bellarke only gets the votes of Bellarke shippers, Clexa gets the votes of everyone that watches the show because it is there and not a dream.
May i ask why you ship them? Serious question... There is not one single romantic hint between Clarke and Bellamy so why do you ship them? If you are reading the books then ok, that answers my question but if not then i really don't get it.. There is nothing there literally. Even the creatos have said so repeatedly. So why?
That says something about the quality of the show though doesn't it? I mean, i like the show but if a shipping battle is enough to divide the fandom then something is not right with it. I have low standards so i wouldn't know but i don't see that happening with most popular shows.
The show itself has nothing to do with the ship wars or the fandom. Shipping is created entirely by the fans not the show. Unfortunately most shows tend to eventually let the shipping and the fans influence the show and that's when things fall apart. Thankfully Jason and The 100 writers have made it clear they'll never allow that to happen.

Lmao when people get so weird about other people shipping non-canon ships, I wonder how long they would have lasted in the Harry Potter fandom where the popular online ships are like Draco/Harry and Draco/Hermione hahaha. Truth is; shipping is fun for a lot of people! They don't really have to explain why they love it so much - they just do!
Bellamy and Clarke have one of the most beautiful and complex relationships I have ever seen on TV. So I root for them, because even if there is nothing romantic (yet), they are such a stunning couple already.
I think the person who made up this poll, just needed names to fill out the survey. You can't seriously consider Clarke and Octavia as a couple? Octavia is much to immature, for Clarke to ever consider her. The only serious contender couples are: Clarke and Lexa, Octavia and Lincoln, Raven and Wick and Abby and Kane. Even though that doctor guy has the hots for Abby. I also like Bellamy with Echo.
I feel like Bellamy and Echo should be a thing. I mean, think about. The Blake siblings both dating warrior grounders and Bellamy got her out of that cage, so it wouldn't be unreasonable if she develop feelings for him.
the trust both developed in each other is something we hardly see on tv....maybe only Jane and Lisbon from Mentalist top this (don't watch Castle so no idea).
May 8, 2015-My question is why do Bellarke fans, seem to only support them in the context of The 100 show? During the Zimbio March Madness TV Couples Challenge 2015, Bellamy and Clarke did NOT make it out of the first round. As for Clarke and Lexa, they took a second place win in the challenge. Also in the Eonline Alpha Male Madness 2015, a week ago or so, Bellamy (Bob Morley) did not even make it into the final 2. I have noticed, that no matter what challenge Clarke and Lexa are entered, their fans loyally vote for them. I believe this would also be true, if Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) were nominated for something individually.
I would totally vote for Clexa. The thing is, I don't think Clarke and Bellamy being together as romantic couple would be interesting it will be boring just as Clarke and Fin relationship. Unlike Lexa and Clarke there is so much to explore.
Not even made it to the final 2? I'm sorry but did you miss the part where Bob won from Jensen Ackles in the final 8? Jensen who has won all the previous years. Many and many people have voted for him but in the final four we were parred with the final winner and we actually lost from Sam Heughan with the smallest margin from all others. So can we not belittle what we actually achieved? He didn't do bad, not at all so can we not pretend that Bellarke fans (and the 100 fans in general) weren't voting loyally for him? As for Eliza and Alycia, I'm sure that when they're individually nominated for something the Clexa fandom will vote loyally for them as well but don't think for a second it will be just Clexa fans voting for them just like it weren't just Bellarke fans voting for Bob.

Will never understand how someone can take a so-called relationship of two people who barely know each other over the deep beautiful bond that Bellamy and Clarke have. Regardless of which couple you ship, and if you ship any couple at all, there is no denying Bellamy and Clarke have something special.
Because they understand each other. Because they managed to see past appearances in each other. Because they stand by each other and support each other no matter what. Because they genuinely care about each other and the most beautiful relationships are the ones based on that rather than physical attraction. Because they protect each other. Because of the goodbye scene. Because they are soulmates. Because I believe Bellamy is already in love with Clarke.
And here comes the main thing: they actually make each other better people.
They have a wonderful platonic relationship that we just happen to hope will become more one day. We can see the chemistry you say is not there. For me personally, when they are in a scene together the emotions are very real. Cannot say that about any other relationship on the show actually.
Oh yes that was the worst thing that ever happened to the show. Everytime the triangle would cause an awkward moment, I would just think to myself "Who the f**k even cares?"
What happened to Kane's wife anyway? She was Abby's best friend and the one who tried to convince Kane that he shouldn't execute her in one of the first episodes of season 1
I could see her coming back. She was reluctant to leave Bellamy behind. Not every Grounder was happy about breaking their alliance with the Sky people. I hope they will explore the possible new dynamics inside the grounders.

ReplyDeleteLmao when people get so weird about other people shipping non-canon ships, I wonder how long they would have lasted in the Harry Potter fandom where the popular online ships are like Draco/Harry and Draco/Hermione hahaha. Truth is; shipping is fun for a lot of people! They don't really have to explain why they love it so much - they just do!

I think the person who made up this poll, just needed names to fill out the survey. You can't seriously consider Clarke and Octavia as a couple? Octavia is much to immature, for Clarke to ever consider her. The only serious contender couples are: Clarke and Lexa, Octavia and Lincoln, Raven and Wick and Abby and Kane. Even though that doctor guy has the hots for Abby. I also like Bellamy with Echo.

ReplyDeleteMay 8, 2015-My question is why do Bellarke fans, seem to only support them in the context of The 100 show? During the Zimbio March Madness TV Couples Challenge 2015, Bellamy and Clarke did NOT make it out of the first round. As for Clarke and Lexa, they took a second place win in the challenge. Also in the Eonline Alpha Male Madness 2015, a week ago or so, Bellamy (Bob Morley) did not even make it into the final 2. I have noticed, that no matter what challenge Clarke and Lexa are entered, their fans loyally vote for them. I believe this would also be true, if Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) were nominated for something individually.
ReplyDeleteI would totally vote for Clexa. The thing is, I don't think Clarke and Bellamy being together as romantic couple would be interesting it will be boring just as Clarke and Fin relationship. Unlike Lexa and Clarke there is so much to explore.
ReplyDeleteNot even made it to the final 2? I'm sorry but did you miss the part where Bob won from Jensen Ackles in the final 8? Jensen who has won all the previous years. Many and many people have voted for him but in the final four we were parred with the final winner and we actually lost from Sam Heughan with the smallest margin from all others. So can we not belittle what we actually achieved? He didn't do bad, not at all so can we not pretend that Bellarke fans (and the 100 fans in general) weren't voting loyally for him?
ReplyDeleteAs for Eliza and Alycia, I'm sure that when they're individually nominated for something the Clexa fandom will vote loyally for them as well but don't think for a second it will be just Clexa fans voting for them just like it weren't just Bellarke fans voting for Bob.

Some of the fans act like Bellarke, is the only couple that should exist and they are the better fans. Again Bellake did not make it out of the first round, of the Zimbio TV Couples Challenge. ReplyDeleteWill never understand how someone can take a so-called relationship of two people who barely know each other over the deep beautiful bond that Bellamy and Clarke have. Regardless of which couple you ship, and if you ship any couple at all, there is no denying Bellamy and Clarke have something special.
Because they understand each other. Because they managed to see past appearances in each other. Because they stand by each other and support each other no matter what. Because they genuinely care about each other and the most beautiful relationships are the ones based on that rather than physical attraction. Because they protect each other. Because of the goodbye scene. Because they are soulmates. Because I believe Bellamy is already in love with Clarke.

They have a wonderful platonic relationship that we just happen to hope will become more one day. We can see the chemistry you say is not there. For me personally, when they are in a scene together the emotions are very real. Cannot say that about any other relationship on the show actually.

ReplyDeleteI could see her coming back. She was reluctant to leave Bellamy behind. Not every Grounder was happy about breaking their alliance with the Sky people. I hope they will explore the possible new dynamics inside the grounders.
