  1. Well, that sucked. And I'm not talking about the brother fighting. It was clunky, shallow, and I think Sam was written out of character in just about every scene.

  2. Dean is awesome

  3. I loved some of it, hated some of it. I'm leaving now before the meltdowns occur.
    -Love a vengeful,angry Dean
-Love Crowley any way he comes
-Did not like Dean blaming Sam so harshly
-I assume all of the death was supposed to show how far Dean is gone and can't be held accountable for his actions towards Sam and Cas.
-Didn't like the destruction of the MoL or Baby or the stupefaction of Sam.

-The Steins were ridiculous on every level. Cheesy villains with even cheesier accents.
-I could not care less about that fight between Dean/Cas.
-I hope we get to see Crowley's vengeance against his mother
-the promo next week brings back one of the true greats, Death.

  4. I haven't watched the entire show yet, but that's not good to hear. I only caught the end when Dean killed that kid and fought Cas. Why wasn't Cas able to do a better job fighting Dean? That's my question. Does he have no powers or strength? That fight was pathetic!

  5. I went with Awesome only because they finally let Dean do something pretty unforgivable. After a season of telling us the Mark was bad with very little showing, killing baby Styne and considering killing Cas finally SHOWED us why Dean needs to be cured.

I don't know how people hated this! I am not ok at all after this episode. Seeing Dean go off on the Stynes was one thing....Charlie had to be avenged! But when he beat the hell out of Cas, I was not ok! Jensen seriously deserves an Emmy for his acting on this show. I say it all the time, but the fact that a seemingly sweet actor made me scream in terror, cry from emotional tension, and cringe at his cold violent behavior....that's a true actor right there

  7. That was better than last week. Still not good.

Finally, Dean has "gone off the deep end". Shame it happened a good 15 episodes too late. Am I supposed to be impressed or care now, because the finale has come ? Well sorry, the Supernatural I watch is 23 episodes long, a simple fact the writers seem to have forgotten.
Anyway, I'm sure the hardcore Dean fans will love it, because they really did their best to turn him into the ultimate badass. Tried way too hard to my liking as a number of shots ended up being rather comical.
The Stynes sucked so bad I can't help but be glad they're dead. And that kid's sorry felt super cheap, and I don't really consider what Dean did as "unforgivable".

And once again, they throw canon out of the window to advance the story. Are we supposed to believe the Stynes entered the bunker just by kicking the door down ? We're talking about the bunker that's warded to any evil force in the universe, and that not even Crowley was able to penetrate ?
As for Sam, he was useless. And I absolutely hated his justification to Cass for saving Dean. "I owe him that because he saved me so many times" ? What the hell.
His confrontation with Crowley was fun until he got up after removing the bullet. Sam stood there crapping himself when he had a good 20 seconds to shoot him again or try to stab him.
Oh and sure, you keep getting bullied by Rowena and accepting her childish behavior, because she has proven so many times she was very useful in decoding the book. Must have missed that moment so.
The last scene was meh. The infamous beatup scene. Been there, done that, and it makes no sense that Cass would get such bruises from anyone but an angel or demon after a few punches. As I said before, he's a really crap fighter.

  8. I agree with you, I've been asking myself how people can hate this as well. But recently I've seen a lot of hate on either this season or the show entirely. So maybe it's just people that are tired of Supernatural and want it to end idk but either way I really love this episode for so many reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Agree with some of what you said. Could have gotten behind Dean doing more damage if it didn't feel like a bad Clint Eastwood movie,

    ReplyDelete
  10. But doesn't it feel late in the game for this? I haven't watched the whole episode yet, but I hate the pacing on this show. Why did it take until the end of the season to show Dean going crazy?

Things I didn't like: clunky, as someone else said. Awkward dialog, very stilted and overly melodramatic. Sam annoyed me in this episode...not Jared's fault, but the writers /seriously/ don't know how to write for this show or these characters. Frustrating.
There were also a lot of 'why the heck would they do that?' Moments that just not make any sense. How can Cas get his butt kicked by Dean?? Only remotely plausible if Dean is full on demon with a demon's strength. Even then, An angel, even a weakened one, shouldn't just practically stand there and get his butt handed to him, while begging the person to stop. Ugh
If Sam wanted Crowley dead...why not just kill him? Why the hex bag? It's not like these guys haven't brrn killing demons for years. Even powerful ones. What /is/ Crowley anyway?? At one point he was a normal crossroads demon, I didn't know that demons suddenly got more powerful and immortal based on rank.

Things I liked well enough: liked Crowley getting his guts and Fire back. Was gonna be ticked if he died in such an insanely boring way, it would have been a horrible waste of the character. Loved Crowley being all 'I could just snap my fingers and you'll die', and his words to Rowena. I don't think Crowley is full on evil again, but he's pissed and got his groove back a bit.

While I hated how contrived the cas fight was, and killing the boy (don't get why cas couldn't ressurrect him..), I got a real scare that Dean was going to kill cas. I really worried for a split second that they might do it.

Subpar writing and plot holes bigger then the moon make it hard to like this episode. Alas, I wanted to like it, but it was too predictable and weird and just...we need new writers, plain and simple, Forget a new show runner, we need new. /writers/

  12. I'm sure there's a lot that can, and will, be picked apart in this episode. Personally I put about 80% of my rating in the character writing, and nothing in this episode felt real. No one felt real.

    ReplyDelete
  13. At this point I'll take what I can get. They should have shown Dean deteriorating through the season, the way they did in season four with Sam, but I'll take Dean truly going over the edge, since that's all we're getting.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hahaha! I love your thoughts b/c the describe my feelings too. I just asked Percy if she thought it was a little late for the "Dean's gone crazy" part of the show. That should have been building the entire season, IMO. And like you said, am I supposed to be amazed by Dean killing a bunch of people?!?! It is the episode BEFORE the finale. This arc took entirely too long to develop, IMO.

I haven't watched this one yet, but I hate to hear Sam was useless. He's been useless for most of the season so I can't say I'm too shocked he continues to be irrelevant to anything that's happening.

The Cas/Dean fight (and Dean killing that kid) was the only part of the episode I saw, and I wondered why Cas couldn't put up a better fight w/Dean. That fight was pathetic. If I didn't know better, I would have never thought Cas a super powerful angel.

    ReplyDelete
  15. ^^ This. Everything.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I hear ya. I guess I'm not as interested in Dean's rampage since it was motivated by Charlie. I couldn't stand Charlie. I would have rather just seen him give in to the call of the Mark or whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hmmm . . . you have me intrigued. I may watch it now.

  18. BrittneyAngel2010 .14 May 2015 at 03:27

I don't get the weakening of Castiel thing they have been doing lately. Cas kicked ass in the past on multiple occasions, especially in season 5. Castiel's first scene in season 5 was kicking ass, then he did a lot of kick ass moves when he killed the angels to get to the resurrected Adam, then there was the fight scene outside of the box where Zacharia held Adam. In season 8 there was that not so much a fight scene but when Cas returned from purgatory and made Crowley look like he was going to pee his pants.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I rewatched last week's episode before this one and I still liked it. I just liked the really odd mix of character interactions, and I thought the pacing was good. I'm indifferent to Charlie, so that's probably why I'm not having the negative reaction that a lot of people are having.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Misty Pebworth14 May 2015 at 03:30

I can easily see how people dislike this episode. I've liked most of season, unlike many. I've disliked a few episodes, but overall enjoyed. This episode however... Very bad writing all around. Plot holes and 'wtf' moments that made me question whether the writers know /anything/ about these guys. Written like a bad fan fic. Just two small examples: how does Dean or that kid get smothered through a plastic bag, when their hands are free and they can just rip a hole in the bag?? And why smother Dean unconscious when you have an army of weapons on him and can just escort him own to the ol chop shop?

Another inconsistency, how does Cas get his butt /kicked/ into next Tuesday by Dean?? Even when Dean was full on demon and cas in stolen grace, cas just had to wrap his arms around him to stop him. That's it. Cas is an angel, for crying out loud, and Dean is still human. But Dean almost killed him!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't care much for Charlie either to be honest. I stopped caring this season as her Mary Sur level went through the roof.
Still, that doesn't mean I can forgive killing a character in such a lame way. I mean the plot holes... no, just no.
And since I've grown tired of the mark story months ago, you can understand there's really not much I can like anymore this season.

I wish I'll be able to say once again that I really like an episode. Last one where I was truly entertained was About A Boy... feels like ages ago.

    ReplyDelete
  22. He could have been just using her death to finally give into the mark? Think was kind of made clear when he killed the young Stein and then went after Cas.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks ^^

Carver's season 10 management feels like a school year for a really lazy student. Tries to get his sh*t together a few days before the most important test of the year, when he had months to study for it but chose not to.
Well guess what, you can try as hard as you like now, it's too late, there's nothing you can do to make up for lost time, and you will fail.
Feels appropriate to call season 10 an epic fail.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I liked it. I thought they all were great. Since I know many will trash it with the same boring comments they always make, since that's all they seem to do on this site any longer, that's all I'm going to say.

    ReplyDelete
  25. BrittneyAngel2010 .14 May 2015 at 03:54

Dean had 2 guns, why didn't he just shoot the guy holding the plastic bag over his head?
I'm at a loss at the Dean/Cas fight....Cas should have won that. The writers lost their minds with that one.

    ReplyDelete
  26. BrittneyAngel2010 .14 May 2015 at 04:03

I was the opposite. I was indifferent towards Charlie in seasons 7 and 8. I only started warming up to her starting in season 9.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have to say the episode gave me a terrible first impression because of the music they chose for Charlie's cremation. What the hell was that ? Felt totally out of place.

Also, even though Dean's words towards Sam were unforgivable (but everybody will have forgotten about that in a few days), I felt he deserved to get a slap on the head with that awful "tribute" monologue. Talk about cliché.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Jensen deserves an Emmy for many of his performances in the show.
However, an episode in which he spends 35 minutes making cranky face doesn't really apply to me.
It's mostly the director's fault though. The guy was possibly in love with Jensen, considering how much time he spent showcasing him like Rambo, Clint Eastwood and terminator combined.
But in situations like these, I think less is more. Most of the shots were realllllly over the top.

    * I was starting to like the Stynes. Too bad they were dead as ****.
    * Crowley finally got his edge back. Took him 3 seasons or so. He's going to bite the dust.
    * Rowena still looking like a MILF. That's good.
    * Dean's rampage was alright. I wanted more blood though.

    I thought it was solid.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hahaha! Great analogy. This season feels just like that. It's like Carver woke up and realized he only had two episodes left to tell the MOC story. He's like, "Oh, yeah, the Mark is supposed to be influencing Dean so let's have him kill a bunch of random people, beat up a super powerful angel, and threaten his friend and brother. And then we resolve it all in the last episode. Yeah . . . that sounds like a good plan!"

    ReplyDelete
  31. Maybe. I have yet to watch the entire episode. I feel like I got the gist of it in the last five minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Dean's juiced up from the Mark of Cain, and I think it was clear Cas was trying to restrain Dean and not hurt him.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Now this is the Dean we should of seen 5 episodes ago in let it get worst from there. Dean should practically be foaming at the mouth by the finale.
In im not going to go in on the whole Charlie saga, cause I know she was a patch job excuse to jump start this process. Since the writers wasn't creative enough to make something really unique happen a while back. This is why this sorry lined dragged if you had to watch week to week.

    Overall I give the episode a C+.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't see much of a difference between how they did season 4 Sam and Dean. From what I can remember, Sam's deterioration was a couple of episodes where Sam goes off with Ruby and is tempted by demon blood. And Dean's feels likes it's been the same, a couple of episodes where the Mark gets a hold of him and the violence comes through. And in both cases they only go off the deep end at the end of the season, Sam escaping the panic room and drinking the nurse. Dean going on a murder spree, and killing someone that really didn't deserve to die.

    ReplyDelete
  35. *If Sam wanted Crowley dead...why not just kill him? Why the hex bag? It's not like these guys haven't brrn killing demons for years. Even powerful ones. What /is/ Crowley anyway?? At one point he was a normal crossroads demon, I didn't know that demons suddenly got more powerful and immortal based on rank.*

That was kind of my question too! The way he tried to kill him was pretty much rookie level. He should have caught him in a Devil's trap!
What is Crowley???? Good freak'n question! He's way too strong to be a normal demon, king of the Crossroads, or even the king of Hell! I've been asking that question to myself for a while now! Come up with some theories that he might be an an angel gone insane, a very powerful witch, or some kind of new monster that SPN hasn't tackled yet

    ReplyDelete
  36. You think someone out of control to the point of killing a crying kid is awesome? Hmm ok then.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Lala it is even worse. They pratically made Charlie Dean's soulmate, with cheesy montage and all.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It was good. I got my revenge on Charlie, Crowley got his balls back, (Or course right when it's about to end, typical. smh).. and Dean didn't kill Castiel. Broke my heart to see that, like i didn't get enough of that years back. I hate when my Destiel bromance is broken.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Misty Pebworth14 May 2015 at 06:24

People keep asking about how they got into the bunker, but from what I understand, the Stynes were human, and even evil humans wouldn't be prevented by any shields and guards, whatever. They were normal humans with an evil family tradition of using deadly magics to manipulate things in their favor. Witches are, I believe this has been established, people who sold their souls in exchange for more powerful magics and virtual immortality. They didn't sell them a la cross roads demon, they made a pact with the devil so to speak. So I can see witches being unable to get in, same with demons and monsters. But ordinary (ish) humans? Charlie and Kevin and other humans randomly showed up at the bunker in the past, if I recall right.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Misty Pebworth14 May 2015 at 06:27

^^^ that music was /awful/, and this isn't the first time they've used it in an episode. They seem to be using it a lot in recent episodes, and it's just not right. Spn is about Classic rock, not country twang or pop. It just doesn't fit! And omg I can not agree with you more about the 'tribute'. I blame this entirely on awful writing. It should have been a solemn, silent moment of reflection, not an awkward 'I'm sorry I ran over your cat' speech.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dean was absolutely right about Sam. It SHOULD have been him up there on the pyre and NOT Charlie. Sam essentially by involving her in some bs obfuscation from DEan, led Charlie to get killed. Yeah Charlie might of done it anyway but it was utter tripe by Sam.

So yeah Sam, it sohuld of been you up there on the Pyre.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Misty Pebworth14 May 2015 at 06:41

I'm not into Destiel, but my heart just about stopped when Dean was holding that blade over Cas and slammed it down. The scene overall was very meh, because I couldn't get over just how Cas was getting the crap beat out of him and begging Dean like a baby instead of being an /Angel/...but that said, the last part, when Dean was about to stab him through...:heart breaks:. And for just a split second there, when Dean's expression cracked and he seemed to have a 'what the hell am I doing??' moment..yup, more heartbreak.

    ReplyDelete
  43. So the problem is that Dean didn't know. Otherwise if he did and was on board with the plan, should Sam have been up on the pyre too? Considering Charlie wasn't forced to do anything and even said it was for Dean? Or the stynes were going after her even if she wasn't with them? Don't blame Sam, blame Eldon Styne, the real killer.

    ReplyDelete
  44. If she would of sat her butt in that chair and ignored Rowena in kept to her research, she most likely would of still be here.
But eventually sooner not later they would of caught up with this girl cause it was her idea to go after the book. They do have a tracker on it.

She got her self caught up as soon as she wanted to help. Now that she was helping she should of been on Castiel back like glue watching over her shoulders.

    ReplyDelete
  45. There wouldn't be much point in that because Dean would only bring him back again, to possibly kill him later on again and then bring him back again and round and round the circle will go.

    ReplyDelete
  46. OMG Chris I thought along the same lines, hahaha. " What is this? A wannabe Clint Eastwood movie?".

    ReplyDelete
  47. Agreed Misty, not even spetacular acting can save awful writing. And I respect Micheles's opinion but IMO what Jensen is doing is not even close to what he did in the episode "On the head of a pin". That was dark Dean, with Alastair.

    ReplyDelete
  48. To be fair Box, it is perfectly understandable Sam saying that to Cas after he heard from Dean he should be dead instead of Charlie. he is in "I'm letting my brother down again" mindset. Sad, because Sam can't win.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't know what I expected him to say, but I hate how Sam has been portrayed lately, he seems so weak when it comes to other characters. What he said just felt like Dean shilling right after his brother spat on his face.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh yeah I agree. Sam being so weak is another point that makes me think he dies next episode. After being Dean's punchbag of course.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Oh i could never not love my bromance. No matter what they go through/what they've gone through. I'll always love them. That's my bromance ship. It kills me when they're on opposite sides. And mine did too! I was nervous during the fight. My heart was racing. (yes we've seen it over and over but it kills me every time) I actually gasped when Dean slamme the blade down. I actually didn't think about that in that moment. I think for a second i thought, "Ok he got his grace back why is this happening?" But it was only for a second, b/c honestly i just kept thinking, Castiel was holding back and didn't want to fight Dean at all. As for the "begging" I didn't take it that way either, as i felt Cas was going for the more sentimental approach. Trying to tap into (or possibly see) if Dean wasn't too far gone. And i think Dean not stabbing him, kinda showed that he still cared/was still there. Idk, maybe i'm reaching, but that's just what i got from it as a whole. I feel if Cas did give in and fought back, he would've made things much much worse, and that's not what he wanted.

    ReplyDelete
  52. It was one of the better episodes of the season which isn't saying much given how much of a spiral this season took. I did like Dean going dark in the end. Though I wish they would have explained why Cas is so useless lately. He couldn't bring his wife or Charlie or the kid that Dean so brilliantly killed back from the dead but we know he has the power to do it. So did the writers simply forget that Cas can do it like they've forgotten just about everything else? I'm guessing yes.

    ReplyDelete
  53. WONDERFUL, SPECTACULAR, POWERFUL DEAN!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sam has been weak and pretty useless all season. I expect him to be even more pointless in the finale. Dean will save himself, and Sam will just be there.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Yeah . . . I still haven't watched this one yet, but b/c I caught the tail end, I did see Dean punch the mirror. You're probably right about Dean being fairly normal for the season finale and feeling guilt over the Mark. This MOC story is so bad and boring. As you said, has it taken over yet? Can Dean control it or not? It seems so selective. Did Carver watch yesteday's episode before he wrote the finale? Probably not.

That Cas/Dean fight was the WORST thing I've seen on SPN in a long time. Cas should have taken Dean in that fight. Why didn't they let Dean beat up Sam? At least that would make more sense than Dean beating up a freakin' ANGEL?!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Are you serious?!?!?! UGH . . . I could puke! Why is Charlie deserving of a montage?!?! As someone pointed out, Charlie has only been around the Winchesters a handful of times. I hate how Carver had Dean adopting every freakin' person they meet as family!

    ReplyDelete
  57. So? I'm not being sarcastic but so what? Cas still should have been able to put up a better fight w/Dean. Who scripted that fight? Cas is an angel. He can move ppl w/his mind. Come on . . . that fight was a joke.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Sam involving Charlie DIDNT lead to her death though, which is why these discussions are so absurd. The Steins were looking for Charlie because she took the book weeks ago, long before Sam's translation project started. They had no idea Charlie had translations on her computer. Like someone else said, she was in the situation because she was trying to help Dean get rid of the mark.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Sadly I agree. I really hope this is some sad attempt at building contrast before a major character transition, because if it isn't Sam is just gone.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'd rather see him kill Dean. I'm tied of him being a plot device and not a participant.

    ReplyDelete
  61. You could tell Sam was different through most of the second half of the season. He was a little aggressive and arrogant, which stood out because wasn't normally like that. He wasn't violent like Dean, but that wasn't Sam's story. The difference is with Dean is even a couple of episodes age he was completely the same as Dean from other seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  62. All I have to say is WTF happened to Castiel, WOW just WOW.

I understand Cas not wanting to hurt Dean but come on Dean could not have hurt him like that. HE IS AN ANGEL, Dean hand almost broke from punching Cas back in S5.

    This is bullshit!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. . Funny how Sam always deserves the worst of the worst while Dean deserves hero stamped on his backside. Did ever occur to you while wishing a fate like that for Sam that Dean getting the MOC to begin with created the whole situation and that nobody would be seeking any sort of cure or Books of the Dammed .

    ReplyDelete
  64. I couldn't agree more with everything you said, especially about them throwing canon out the window and allowing those weak ass Stynes to bust into the bunker like it was nothing. Lame. Between Demon Dean and The Mark of Cain, this season should have been epic. Instead it was so watered down and uneventful that I lost interest in it. Too many plot holes, too much inconsistency, and too many new characters that I didn't give a damn about.

If they had addressed Dean's issue earlier in the season (instead of just telling us via Cas and Sam that there was a problem) and really built on it, I would have been happier. Instead, they wait until the last possible minute to shove it in your face. Up until this episode, I didn't think Dean had gone off of the deep end (without The First Blade) and he had a right to avenge Charlie. Sam and Cas screwed up and in my opinion deserved Dean's animosity.

There were a lot of over the top scenes for me but I loved that Crowley put Sam in his place, even if the battle was beyond weak. It's like Sam didn't even try. He simply expected Rowena's hex bag to do the dirty work. Part of me was hoping that Crowley would hurt him and send him crying back to Rowena instead of just leaving him there like a sad sap.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Um, because this isn't "Dean" anymore, it's MoC!Dean now. Completely different.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Finally the fully realized MoC!Dean arrives and it is SPECTACULAR! Ackles rocked it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. But any extra strength either came from holding the blade (and even with the blade he barely got an edge over Abaddon and couldn't defeat Metatron) or by being a full fledged demon. Maybe they're suggesting he's a demon again.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Great episode. For a minute I actually thought Dean was going to kill Castiel. So glad that didn't happen. I also loved getting OG Crowley back, looking forward to seeing him be evil again. I really hope Crowley gets even with Rowena, i really just don't like her. She's rather annoying at times.

I didn't like Dean killing Geekystein but i get why they did it. They needed Dean to be cold/dark but I feel like it was too obvious a manipulation. I found it more annoying because I realized I was being manipulated rather than angry over Dean's actions (In Show).

I actually found Dean's comment to Sam at the start of the episode (he should be dead instead of Charlie) to be colder/darker than killing Geekystein

The bunker is 1) physically sealed up really well and 2) magically sealed up really well. Without the key that Sam & Dean got in season 8......it should not be that easy to get in. The bunker was designed to keep anyone out who does not belong....the Stynes got in too quickly & easily.

    ReplyDelete
  70. BrittneyAngel2010 .14 May 2015 at 15:25

Charlie was already being hunted. Sam bringing her into the room with Rowena and Cas made her safer. Charlie got killed because she did something stupid and left. It is NOT Sam's fault. Sam brought her some place safer and she bailed on it.

Even as a demon in S10 E3, Cas held Dean with his arms like it was nothing.

  72. If all this Sam is weak doesn't get us to a new Sam, he is truly gone.

    ReplyDelete
  73. What ever happened to Metatron's grace/essence?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Finally, a Dean Winchester we should have been seeing a friggin' long time ago. Slow start with the Stynes and all their yapping, and I hated the deification of Charlie -- her sparkle even reaches down from Heaven, for God's sake -- but all the rest of it was great. Loved having Crowley get his mojo back, loved Dean and his personal best increase to 21, loved Sam being completely unhinged and am left wondering where that goes, and loved Cas and Dean actually being able to share a scene again. Good for you, Dabb. All the writers should be giving us this type of episode and lay off the danged episode after episode of character's nobody cares about. Thompson - take note. This is the type of episode you should be writing.

  75. I liked it a lot. Finally we have a badass Dean? Jensen was awesome but Jared And Mark were over the top for me. Their scene reminded me so much Sacrifice. I am happy Crowley didn't die and should become back a real demon.
I am also happy that the stynes are dead, I was so afraid they would become the bad guys of next season. they are all dead, right ?
Is it bad of me that during all the scene ,I truly wished they would have put the fire on in the bunker (exept for the pictures), as much as the MOL storyline is good, I preferred, the bro homeless, on the road. It took away the road trip spirit and i miss it.

  76. Can someone clear this up-
1.How on earth Dean beat Castiel like that?He is a freakin' Angel FGS!
2.How on earth Crowley broke that hex bag spell or dug out the demon trap bullet?

  77. Well, considering I loved seeing Cas get the shit beat out of him, I'll have to disagree.

  78. It was a fabulous episode. Sam was strong and sad and Dean was disturbingly convincing as one who's being is being taken over by evil and who's on the losing end. Crowley's eyes lighting up red was amazing! Very proud of my boys and the writers who did such a good job. So glad Catiel wasn't killed off (and Dean coulda gone there).

  79. i suppose:
    1. Dean is super strong because of the MOC, same when he's been able to get free and Cass still has his wings broken, so no full power.
    2. No idea, king of hell, it was convenient ... you pick.

  80. I loved it but it would have been better if Dean would have killed cas.

  81. Hahaha! Okay . . . I can understand that :-)
I don't hate Castiel so that scene didn't do much for me!

  82. Didn't Cas steal it? I can't remember.

  83. I definitely don't think it is a major character transition. I think this is just how Carver sees Sam.

  84. Not from what I saw. I saw Cas struggling to stay alive in that fight, and I just did not find that believable.

  85. oh no.. dont get me wrong. THey are both stupid as hell. They are doomed to repeat the

    A) Brother turns bad
    B) Other brother warns brother against doing something, is ignored
    C) Original brother turning bad dies
    D) Brother makes deal with X/Y / other to bring other brother back from dead as they cant live without them
    E) Brother comes back from dead, angsts out of deal making brother who himself now targeted for eventual death
    F) Recently returned brother spends season trying to get deal brother out of his deal.
    G) Rinse and repeat.

Both Winchesters are failed so badly at keeping to their promises to respect the others wishes than its become now common for them to disregard those wishes to help themselves out.

In this case I think in this show that because they have such a small core cast that it actually limits their ability to craft decent plot arcs.

  87. #1 is my question as well. I'm thinking they decided to ignore the fact that Cas should have been able to not only put up a better fight than Dean, but also win it b/c they wanted to show Dean beating up someone. It would have made more sense if that person had been Sam.

  88. I read that Misha said at the JIB Con that he and JA choreographed the scene to where Cas wouldn't fight back, because he wanted to help Dean, not hurt him.

    ReplyDelete
  89. it also didn't help that Dean was high on the MoC at that moment

    ReplyDelete
  90. Thank you.I also guessed the same thing. He didn't want to hurt Dean.

  91. This episode is much like this season....meh.
