    I wish we could keep AU Hook. He was so much better than regular Hook.

    Can I say i absolutely loved these the finale like I loved HENRY I was rooting for him to become the Author for awhile and I'm happy he was the one to save everyone!!!! and DARK EMMA (i mean very dark emma)OH I can't wait for this!!!!

    I swear, Once has this habit of kind of being super slow and have some "annoying" qualities during the season...but those season finales freaking redeem it! I thought anyway especially with seasons 3 and 4. Ready for Dark Emma and what the "gang" will do to save her. Plus Henry's the author, finally, the boy has a part besides being the son.

    How tragically ironic that the Savior had to become the Dark One to protect her family, friends, and the man she loves.

    The problem I have with this season's finale is that Rumple's heart was purged of the darkness and the Apprentice saved him without Rumple even attempting to atone for his evil ways. Even as a "hero" in the alternate universe, Rumple still put his own selfish needs first. Of course, that became his downfall from hero back to villian. Maybe Emma's sacrifice will make it that much easier to transfere her from villian back to hero.

    Hopefully, Merlin can be found quickly so Emma can be saved.

    Emma is a hero. I am proud of her. Hook has to find her - season 5 has to be about finding her.

    Fantastic moments with Snow and Charming lol. And mostly Emma and Hook - that was adorable. And finally that I love you.

    Henry leading the way was great.

    Freaking loved this finale. Loved what they did with Regina, she's my favorite character and I loved that the keep having her realize that her happy ending isn't a guy or true love with a guy. It's all about her family and finding friendship/acceptance.

    Loved what they did with Henry. I always thought he would turn out to be The Author, before the reveal that it was a position, not a person. So having Henry end up as the next Author was great.

    Curious to see what Gold is like without the Darkness. I love Robert Carlyle but I don't think Rumple will be as interesting if he's good or worse cowardly.

    Really looking forward to the S5A setup. Love the of Emma's friends/family having to save the Savior.

    There were some good moments in this episode for sure, I like how Jared finally got more that 2 minutes of screen times. Many people will disagree with me but I am so tired of the fight for CS! I was really hoping that they wouldn't go there but of course they did. I was very dissapointed with the Eibin/Regina/Marion

    - "The last one passed just recently." Walt Disney died in Dec '66.
    - "Hang in there Dark One." Oh God, the wooden dialogue. ARGH!
    - Oh, I thought something terrible had happened, but Henry's just been abandoned in Storybrooke. The viewers got their wish.
    - REGINA IS THE BEST!
    - Don't stop. Keep hitting Henry.
    - Regina calling Henry kid is a nice call back to Emma in season one.
    - Really? She's got a book that tells her exactly what's going on, and she burns it? That's bad writing there.
    - Because of course Regina needed a man to save her and play the savior role for her.
    - "Hi, Regina. I'm Robin Hood. I just saved you, and this is the part where you fall in love with me."
    - That being said, that was actually the best connection I've seen Regina and Robin have. I still wished she had used that bag of gold to bludgeon him to death.
    - I'm sorry, but this righting the story is going WAY too easy.
    - Isn't this supposed to be happening in one day? This is one long day.
    - Hey Lily! Good to see you.
    - Look, I'm a SwanQueen shipper, and normally Captain Swan doesn't particularly bug me, but the Captain Swan this episode is just...gross with how Emma's almost worshiping Hook.
    - Now I thought that magic couldn't bring the dead back to life. Even Baelfire. So how is Doc coming back?
    - Cowardly, just-learned-to-pick-up-a-sword, Hook beat Charming?
    - He's dead. Woohoo he's dead.
    - I saw Little John, so where is Ruby, Mulan, Aurora, etc...?
    - Regina leaves Robin to marry Zelena so that she can save Emma and Henry. I did not see that coming. That's a good twist...that they've immediately undone by having Robin come to her.
    - Haha, what's the matter apprentice? Does your good guys always win mentality just get smacked around by the Dark One?
    - Emma sacrificed herself for Regina. I won't tell you what that really means.
    - Let's talk about the Regina's happiness for a minute. Regina keeps saying that she doesn't need a man to make her happy, yet immediately after saying this she'll always go to Robin and try to get her happy ending. Tonight she sacrificed herself to save Henry and Emma because she was a hero. Because of this Robin married Zelena, but two minutes later they had Robin abandon Zelena for Regina. Not for a wounded person, but for Regina. Show, you can keep telling us that she doesn't need a man to make her happy, but when you contradict it with her actions it just rings hollow.
    - Let's also talk about SwanQueen. People keep saying that CS and OQ are canon and that SQ will never happen, so why do we keep talking about SQ? Do you ever notice that Emma keeps leaving her "True Love" Hook to be with Regina? She does it a lot. Some people have called it queerbaiting, but whatever it is, it's there.

    can't understand the shitstorm against the 2 creators via twitter, really. Loved the whole episode. So much came true what we here expected: new Dark One, who is the sorcier etc.
    And I'm really satisfied with the Rumbelle-end scenes, I didn't need more.
    But will miss the old Rumple/Dark One in flashbacks, this I'm honest about. Was always so funny to watch.
    Now I'm looking forward for S5 with a lot of joy.

    I voted awesome but I have extremely mixed feelings about this episode and this arc as a whole.


    It was good but predictable, and I don't just mean the finale, I mean this entire arc, but from this episode alone Henry being the new author, Merlin being the sorcerer and Emma becoming the dark one are all things most people called ages ago.


    I was beyond pissed they broke the number one rule - magic can't bring back the dead - to bring back my least favourite character. At least they tried to explain it.


    Jared was brilliant, he's really come a long way, If season 1 Jared had been doing this episode it would have been painful to watch! The acting from everyone else was very good too, I loved them in the different roles and all the parallels we saw too.


    There was a lot of CGI in this episode but it looked really good, I liked it. I'm looking forward to next season, I hope Hook finally builds relationships with other characters now that Emma is gone, I might find him more tolerable then.

    disliked how they got Emma here, but hopefully more times passes for her than everyone else and she is unrecognizable(beyond the obvious) to them when they meet and her take on the dark one is different. But Id rather they did her transition in flashbacks and Emma's transformation lasts more than next season.

    Great set of Chapters (predictable set but still enjoyable). Snow white and Regina should be Evil sisters xD love them both and their dark side.
    And Emma as the dark one. Where did she go?. Rumple could love being one, what's teh difference between him and Emma now?.

    So many questions. And STill they didnt anwers what in the hell is Will doing in Storybrooke. LIKE WTH MAN! the didnt even mention him on the "Heroes and Villains" side.

    A few reasons, his relationship with Emma felt forced and I didn't find it believable. He's never voiced regret or guilt for things he's done. All his actions revolve around Emma. And finally, he hasn't developed any close relationship with other characters.

    This season finale was so poor. I wasn't even interested in what was happening at one point. Unfortunately they gave too much screen time to Henry. But I'm glad they wrapped this author nonsense up, even though I'm not enthused about Merlin.

    I've noticed that too. It's like because he's Emma's "true love" he's given a bye on all of that. Meanwhile everybody continues to crap on Regina.
    "All his actions revolve around Emma."
    Go back to last episode and listen to what he says to Rumple. "Emma didn't go dark. So. I. Get. My. Happy. Ending." He's not worried about Emma or Rumples plans. He's happy he got HIS happy ending.

    I think it may be time for Rumple to leave the show. Those who made the best villains are being stripped of their role and then those who are not believable as evil are being asked to be dark and act as a villain. It was so ridiculous tonight.

    Kind of looking forward to Dark Swan next season! I was never really a huge fan of Emma so hopefully she will be a great Big Bad! Can't wait!     thought the bizarro world was a little meh. definitely interesting to see, though. Im excited by this darkness/merlin storyline. Part of me wants once to live on forever, but the other part kinda would love to see the show have an amazing final fifth season where they destroys the darkness once and for all.

    I'll always love the Evil Queen Regina. But Ginnifer Goodwin had done a very good job. I think it was because she had so much fun she was brilliant. Still I think they cannot be compared. While Evil Regina is dark and wicked Evil Snow was more twisted. She played with the light image of Snow White and turned it dark. "Oh I have to be a leader and an example bla bla" - killing Doc - "Now you're only six." :D

    How was saving Henry undone when Robin came to her?
    A good twist was that they did not need true love's kiss to break the alternate universe but made Henry the author. Like you said true love is a very shady concept on the show which is a reminscient of the old Disney stories. I think Ouat tries to handle it carefully. While the show started with true love's kiss of Snow and Charming and continued with mothers and son kisses, it now showes that it is not the ultimate solution. Regina could just have kissed Robin but saved Henry who then was able to undo the story. Maybe they try to manoeuvre around this gooey concept of True Love. Like they want to say the actions of one person are more important than idealism (although the first one is a very strong ideal too)

    Rumple always took the easy road. Today's episode proved again how selfish he is trapping everyone in a life they don't want but himself and his clueless wife. He could have had it without deceiving everyone if he just tried a little bit. If compared to Regina who gets palmfaced everytime she tries to be her best, he is veeeeeeery lucky.

    I liked AU Hook more, too but maybe it was because finally something was refreshing about the character. Since he was a puppet to Rumple he had no point on the show. But it was cute too see Emma being more the predatory one in their relationship for once. I loved seeing him yelp when she grabbed his sword from behind - pun intended.^^

    Can't believe we have to wait so long for season two! I loved everything about the AU and the finale was full of suspense. I did not want Regina or Emma be consumed by the Darkness either but there was nothing else to do I guess - Where the hell is Blue when you need her? The only thing I found so very lame was the motivation of the author because Charming reminded him of his bosses. WHAT?! It would have been better if he just changed the story for fun and not because of revenge.

    Really good finale, it's really like an adventure. The AU was excellent, befuddled Hook was a delight to watch and Bandit Regina was quite cool. Evil Snow too but I felt bad for Charming (until what he did after). Henry finally had his part after not doing much in the season. There were some nice parallels like the chipped cup.
    I'd have really liked to have much closure with Belle and Will. Now it became even more useless than it was. And they said next season isn't about realms and all but I hope that with Camelot they bring other realms like Wonderland or Agrabah... You know to talk about Anastasia or POC. But we may see Lancelot again in flashbacks!

    The opening was a bit slow, the Author story could've been told in an other episode. But upon Henry found Isaac the story worked really well.
    The AU was coherent and really enjoyable to watch. They did a great job in connecting all the characters and adding Isaac and Henry into it. Dark Snow was a vision and Ginny did an amazing job in portraying her.
    The spark between Outlaw Queen was amazing, they really did great job there. Black Dwarfs were fabulous. I knew Hook would be BB's bi*ch, the worst faith Rumple could've provided him.

    CS meeting was tremendous, she had googly eyes. *_* I laughed so hard when he gave Emma GOAT MILK!

    The AU Emma-Regina scene was really powerful. The moment Regina took the hit for Henry I teared up. Henry becoming the Author was predictable, but it was so beautifully executed and I can say a bad thing about it.
    If I wasn't spoiled by that video I would've been completely WOWed by this finish! The CGI was tremendous and JenMo did a perfect job, this set up a major storyline for S05 and I can't wait to see how they'll explore it.

    CAMELOT here we come.

    Yes, it was soooo Awesome. Loved AU Hook. He was great fun. And Bandit Regina too. I missed that one poignant OQ scene after they returned to Storybrooke where Robin would get a word in edgewise (did they cut the moonlight stroll, I wonder?)


    And one thing I did not get - when did Robin say YES to Zelena? After he saw Regina at the door and she ran to throw herself into a sword!? Come on! Plot hole! I know it happened because they needed the bells to ring, but it didn't make sense to me ... He was so happy to see her in that doorway.


    Henry's storyline was very good. I'd guessed he'd become the author but the way it was done, was really well thought out.


    Looking forward to season 5 with CAMELOT and DARK EMMA ...

    The dark one thing was a tad cheap at the end. If it was just about a simple incantation Rumple would have figured it out. Well, this dying because of "evil" was probably even more so...
    They should have done it the normal way, by stabbing and with some trickery/magic him surviving.

    All the role reversal/alternate fairy-tale world stuff was pretty cool. It was awesome seeing Henry kick some ass and be actively involved. But of course that all gets wiped away and we're left with a rushed final attempt at cliffhanger worthy drama.

    Emma can't be brought back? Then what is the point in her being the Savior? Hook will,have a role in her life? So another season of challenge for CS? Maybe they will being a useless character on like they did with Will to cause some more havoc with CS or maybe Hook will get someone pregnant. I don't even understand why they even bothered evolving CS into a couple if it is always going to be like,this. One second of happiness then back to something coming between them. Frustrating! I am so tired of hearing that this couples journey is so rewarding because of the slow burn-we can only use that t justify for so long, Someone posted on twitter awhile ago that CS won't happen till the series finale and I actually think they are right- I'm not waiting around for that-. Sorry just tired of this show supposedly being about happy endings and hope- don't see any of that anymore-unless you are OQ of course. They took one season and are together. There wasn't even one CS kiss in the finale. I really do apologize, I am just dine

    Although the cliffhanger was leaked long ago,i still enjoyed the finale very much.Henry became the author and Swan became the Dark One sacrificing herself for Regina-Awesome & tragic.henry kicked ass this episode finally.I also liked Rumpbelle conclusion too.Gold will now be able to perform Light Magic,i'm guessing.As for CaptainSwan scenes in the AU and in the real one,i have no words.ABSOLUTE DELIGHT!

    It was undone because it rendered her choice moot. She chose to forgo stopping the wedding so that she could sacrifice herself for Emma and Henry. Dying for them was a sacrifice, but giving up her chance at True Love and her Happy Ending was the sacrifice. Having Robin come out of the church and abandon Zelena for her undoes all of that.

    There comes a point in a relationship where one has to ask what is in this for me? Where is my happy ending?

    Season one the show promised that we would see these characters adapt to this world as a punishment. Never happened.Most of the characters from season one have either moved on as actors do or disappeared from the show as characters may.


    The show focused on the Charmings, the Mills and the Golds, and to hell with the rest of the cast.


    In season 3 the show went mini Arc and and instead of working on the town wasted four consecutive 11 episode runs on temporary characters they had no intention of keeping on the show. Pan, Zelena , Ingrid and Isaac were all intended to die.


    And here we are heading into season 5 still wondering the same thing, what is in it for me? Where is our happy endings?

    For many that is to say they want Regina or Rumple to find true love and for others they want Emma to do the same. It should be surprising but most people do not care what happens to Henry. In fact he is one step away from being the grave digger, never seen but always relied upon to fill in a hole when needed.

    Next season it seems the target will be Merlin and or Camelot who may develop some of the other characters a bit depending on how he is written but he will not stay in the cast as they already killed both the author and the apprentice. This makes it look bad for 2 time corpse Maleficent as well as she was only a means bring in Lilly.

    Now it seems Lilly is looking for dear ol' dad and Emma is no longer in the happy ending business and Henry is taking over that chore which never ever gets done especially since he has no ink or pen to do it with.

    And what about Rumple? now the meek one with a load of magical knowledge and no magic. Wow, does that ever make sense?


    For the Rumbelle people Beauty lost her Beast.
    For the Captain Swan people still can not say "I Love You"
    For the Regal Thief people , your queen has no eggs left to hatch.
    And For you Swan Queen's get a clue Emma just made it likely Regina stays with Robin if he can ignore the fact he got Zelena pregnant and can never get Regina the same.


    So again where is your happy ending? What is in it for you?

    I really loved this episode! The Captain Swan scenes were epic. I can't pick a favorite. They were all so well done. Emma telling Regina, "I just watched the man I love die," with tears running down her face, was heartbreaking. Kudos to the writers for finally letting Killian be the hero, and he did it even though Rumple and the author wrote him as a coward. The scene in Emma's bedroom was sweet and adorable, and the chemistry between them when she was teaching him to sword fight was incredible. The "I love you" came at a rough moment, but it also set things up nicely for Killian to lead the quest to rescue her next season. I'm interested to find out where she disappeared to. Camelot?
    It was a lot of fun seeing Henry become the hero. His scenes with Regina and Hook in the AU were wonderful! I had flashbacks to s1 when Henry was trying to convince everyone they were really fairytale characters. Now he had to convince the fairytale characters that the story they were in wasn't real. Nice switch there!
    There were some cute scenes with Regina and Robin Hood, especially in the tavern. And I loved seeing Zelena turn green again! Dark Snow and Dark Charming freaked me out a little, especially when Charming used their favorite line, "I will always find you," in such a chilling way. And Rumple wrote himself as a hero but reverted to a villain again by the end of the AU story. The whole episode was very well done!

    Well I am not a quitter when it comes to shows I like but maybe if people continue to quite, the creators need to look at that and rethink some things. As a fan, I have watched TV for many many years and I certainly know that I don't get all I want, but sometimes things get too much, and I feel like this is one of those times. Everyone has their own opinion and the only way to make things better for more people is if people are honest in how they feel. We can still get multiple seasons more, but I think they need to re-evaluate their premises from the beginning. Its more than just CS that bothers me. I hope it continues to exite and please you and I really hope I get that back in season 5.

    Wait, which Hook and Swan fans are mad at the creators? I've seen nothing but love from Captain Swan fans for last night's episode. What would they have to complain about? They didn't want Emma to be the dark one? That was spoiled on Twitter weeks ago, so we knew it was coming.
    I did see the Rumple/Belle fans complaining. Also the people who want Regina and Emma as a couple, but they're always complaining, so that's nothing new.

    I always enjoy the OUaT season finales more than some of the season episodes combined. It was a great episode.

    Finally Regina got her happy ending. My OutlawQueen heart is so happy. I loved that she sacrificed her happiness and life to save Henry.

    For the first time in a very long time I enjoyed Henry's scenes. He was brave and his belief made everyone else believe. Loved his reunion with Emma in the AU. If he broke the quell does that mean he's not the author anymore?

    I'm not a CaptainSwan shipper but they were sweet in this episode. Next season though Hook needs a story other than following Emma around like a puppy.

    Why was Rumple's heart white and not red? I really don't want that man to be redeemed, he doesn't deserve redemption. He was a coward, a liar and a villain even when he was supposed to be a hero.

    I'm glad Neal was mentioned a lot in this episode. I miss him :(

    I felt bad when the apprentice died, I liked him.

    GG is so not fit to play an evil character. She was not convincing at all. Loved that even in the AU David wasn't a villain. He was forced to be.

    Wonder where Emma went, and I'm excited for Merlin's storyline.

    Side note: the darkness looked really gross lol

    Last year's was so amazing... this one didn't quite top in my mind. That being said, I loved the finale. The only thing I was kind peeved about was that they had to "preserve" Rumple until they could deal with him. Like, really? Will they ever just have a season where Belle and Rumple are both together and conscious and sane and working at a relationship? Lol, I'm sure it will be fine, though. I really like how they didn't go with their typical new villain-out-for-revenge reveal, but also... I'm gonna have to read up on Merlin. meh.... It's going to be a long summer.

    Loved seeing the role reversals except Snow wasn't convincing as the Evil Queen with that cute, chubby face. LOL.

    Loved Henry in this episode and that he is the new Author. It gave me
    goose bumps when he took the Quill. I'm hope he has a more prominent
    role next season.

    So, as we go into season 5, Emma is the Dark One, the Apprentice has died, Rumple is in stasis and the new Author broke the Quill.

    A little dragged, a little predictable, but still very fun. Can't want to see what they will do next season with Dark Swan. I suspected Merlin as the Sorcerer since the begging of the season. I'm also thinking that King Arthur is probably Lily's dad. Maybe he can turn into a dragon in this show.
    I'm hoping to see Morgan la Fey as well.
    And even thou i like everything on this show, i really don't care about the Zelena pregnancy story line.

    I think the point of it being clear was to signify a blank slate. I don't think removing the darkness necessarily gave him all this love and goodness... but rather, a fresh start to choose a new path. The apprentice said something about it won't be easy for him to get back to the man he used to be... which I took to mean that Rumple is still Rumple, but without all the "sins," if you will, of his past to haunt him. Also, I guess he will age now as well as losing his power to only be killed by the dagger... should be interesting. : )

    Thinks again and no they killed the Apprentice before he could lock the Author back in the book. but seriously if I say up are you going to say down because the whole point of the Hat cleaving Rumple from the dagger was to keep the magic and the whole point of bringing magic to this realm was Rumple would be powerless without it which is why Blue picked this realm too send Baelfire, but hypothetically speaking Rumple could remain an enchantor and one day return to a hand wizard but he will never be able to reach the level of magic he once had. Oh and Cora had being taught to do magic written into her deals so there lies the root of Regina and Zelena's power as well. It is possible they had magic in their blood as well, as in who was Cora's mother? Her children are and wizards too. Emma has always had the potential to be the highest level of wizard and perform magic by thought alone, hence the sparks of energy.

    Not expecting to see Isaac again. Rumple will be in limbo as long as it takes to sign Carlyle to a contract If he extends he will come back strong, If not he will be written as expendable

    So you are gonna wtch S5 not quit? Emma said I love you to Hook. He's gonna fight to bring her back, Regina too. Rumple's new life will be exciting to see. To me it's worth watching. I find it amazing but that's just me.

    Knwing myself and havingn 4 + months to get over it, I will want to see how the story ends and their reunion. One thing I like so far about season 5 is that there are no new Villians being introduced, other than Merlin so am hoping to get more core characters working together which I have missed this season. I want to see Regna save Emma after what Emma did for her this season, cause really none of this would have happened if Regina didn't want to,chsnge the book. So it's Regnas turn to be the Savior and get Emma and Hook they happy ending. I want to see RB back together and have Rumple help get Emma back to herself. Lastly I want to finally see Wills purpose in Storybrooke, so ya I will watch. I'm not the fan you have to worry about though. I express my opinion. It's the fan who quietly goes away cause they are scared to say anything.

    agree on Regina & Emma & RB :) I love SQ too. Remember we might never see the end of the story if S6 isn't renewed. That's why I'm so pissed & worried because we might never see the end. I beg for no cliffhanger in S5 at least. That way I will RIP otherwise I'll never forgive ABC. Do you feel me?

    Hook doesnt follow around Emma. He is there for her. Just like Charming is there for his wife Snow in most scenes.


    His connection is to Emma, he their as her partner and so on.


    Next season is about saving Emma, so yeah Killian will have to do that

    Thats Rumple. Who has been washed away with his sins and so on, now he has a clean heart and no DO.
    And Rumple was harming his love quite a few times and wanting to take her out. So no Hook wasnt in the wrong. Rumple was and always has been

    Oh and Cora had being taught to do magic written into her deals so there lies the root of Regina and Zelena's power as well.

    Nothing wrong with me but then I did not ask that question; but clearly you miss the point of Henry breaking the quill and the Charmings blocking Isaac's exit, namely Isaac is history. He is going no where and it is just a matter of time until he is imprisoned for good. If Rumple were still the dark one, the man's heart would already be dust. Get him a shirt that reads "Print is Dead" Personally banking on Regina doing the honors for what happened to Emma.

    With all due respect, people are allowed to dislike what they see. And are allowed to tweet it to the creators. Adam and Eddie have been in TV for a long time and know that everyone opinion is valuable. If they are as smart as I think they are, they will read the comments and take them to heart as much as those people that loved it. I don't think not liking the finale means they cannot separate reality from a tv series but as a fan you invest your time and time is valuable so,you want to get something out of it. I didn't like Emma becoming the dark one and more angst and drama for CS and I tweeted that to Adam. And I will do it again cause I can and I should just like you,should love the episide. The dangerous thing are the fans that don't like tin; dint say anything and just quietly disappear so Adam and Eddie think everything is great and then are surprised by the ratings declining steadily.

    But I can't understand why they can't write with respect, you mentioned and I know, you did it with all respect, because your comments always are kind here.

    I agree . There is absolutely no reason so be disrespectful or hateful and that does happen. Sometimes people don't like it when fans are negative but it is their opinion. I enjoy reading and discussing opinions with people and hearing their perspectives but definitely in a polite way. It's going to be a long wait and I have to see Emma back with the people that love her! Have a nice night ( or morning) depending where you are!
