Gotham has formally upgraded Morena Baccarin to a series regular ahead of the show’s upcoming second season, TVLine has learned exclusively.
The Homeland alumna joined Fox’s Batman origin story in January in the the role of Dr. Leslie Thompkins, a love interest for Ben McKenzie’s James Gordon. The recurring gig included a Season 2 series-regular option, which the show has now decided to exercise.

ReplyDeleteGood for her, she's a fantastic actress and I'm incredibly glad that she keeps landing these amazing gigs. However this is one show I won't follow her to, Gotham lost me in the middle of season 1. Just not my cup of tea.

ReplyDeleteMy speculation is that come next season Barbara will be in Arkam and pregnant (from Jason), and Jim will want to adopt the baby (girl :D ) because he feels responsible and Leslie won't be able to deal with that and they'll break up...
And then if the show gets a S3, it will be Jim dealing with being a single dad and a police officer and still being in love with Lee, but putting duty and responsibility first kind of a thing...
And I'm clearly getting ahead of myself but I think it quite a plausible scenario.

ReplyDeleteAwesome! I thought she would leave or only be a guest star in S2 I think she can still can voice Gideon on The Flash also :) She could record the voice over phone if really busy :)
