  1. Good news. I still have to catch up on a few episodes.

  2. Ratings are that good but well... I'm happy anyway!

  3. Given the dip in ratings, I'm surprised at the renewal. Even more surprising is that the renewal was given early. I'm glad though. The show is still pretty good.

  4. Not really a renewal, just more episode for the current season.

  5. That's one lame-ass way to announce something.

  6. In cable terms 12 episodes amounts to a season, whether they want to call it 2B or season three or whatever.

  7. They'll probably give it a chance at a different time of the year (maybe summer) to see if ratings get better which I doubt.

  8. 2B would be in the same production cycle. Season 3 would be a new production cycle after the current one.

  9. You're both kind of right, its a third season call it 2B or 3, probably keeping in the same production cycle to cut some costs however they can.

  10. Deadline said "later in the year" so I don't think it will be a summer premiere.

  11. A moot point for viewers. It's all semantics unless you're involved with the show in which case it's a matter of finance. The episodes will still be split up and treated like different seasons.

  12. I liked the shorter episode format TBH.The quality is faltering off late as it is,we didn't need to add another reason.I hope it improves in the future.

  13. I do love the show but I definitely don't think it's the kind of show that benefits from having so many episodes per season.

  14. This season has been a bit of a disappointment. Mainly due to the writers attempts at giving non family members story lines (Crash and his Uncle, Bird's parents being raided by the FBI, the lame teacher/student story line from the last episode,). When the focus remains on the family members, the show works. Max is really the only quality non family member character and he unfortunately has had most of his screentime with Crash this season.

  15. Perhaps by doing it this way, the actors won't have to get back into their characters. It seems like it took about three episodes this season for the actors to really remember who their characters were.

  16. I think they should of just gave us a season 3 instead with 12 episodes

  17. I think Season 2 had been a much better story had they not wrapped up the whole thing with Lori and Carter hadn't been kidnapped until the end of at least Season 2. That way they could have spent two whole seasons letting Carter explore who she is and how she fits in with this new world. But I think they didn't know if they were going to be renewed and they wanted to wrap up the story in case they weren't. Then all of a sudden the writers were hit with having to write another season and come up with ideas what it should be about since they had pretty much tied off everything the series was supposed to be about.
I agree with you that Season 2 has been a bit of a disappointment. For some reason they are burning through story lines really fast. Like the one with Crash and his uncle seemed to have a lot more mileage, but I get the impression they're done. I don't get what they're trying to do.
