    This makes me wonder what ABC is planning with Multi-Cam shows next year! The only other one that had any real buzz has been Uncle Buck? If they don't go with that maybe they might give Cristela another go! i guess we are days away from finding out.

    i hope so! i hate that they say nothing all year and then splurge it all at us at once. I guess in a way it is good for them that way it is harder for people to be upset about the cancellations wedged between all the renewals.

    This is not related to this pilot but i have a question about other pilot.


    Don't you think The Advocate would be amazing fit with Shonda's dramas on schedule?


    It is about strong Woman (similar to all Shonda's show) who is an advocate (HTGAWM similar) and she fights crimes about modern medicine (GA similar)


    So assuming if Shonda has 4 shows in Fall, they will have to divide them anyway ... so do you think GA-HTGAWM-The Advocate could work on Thursday night?

    HTGAWM only has 15 episodes. Assuming either The Catch or the Jenna Bans project are picked up, I guess the show that is picked up will take over HTGAWM's place. I believe both will suit the Thursday line-up better than something like American Crime. It's possible both pilots are ordered to series and in that case, I don't know what ABC is gonna do.

    I was thinking that they could split Shonda's show in 2 and 2. For example GA+HTGAWM+New show on Thursday and maybe OUAT+Scandal+The Catch on Sunday? Both new shows (The Catch + Thursday show) could benefit from strong lead ins

    I doubt ABC will mess with their most succesful Thursday line-up in years. HTGAWM is a freshman that has had a long break when it returns so moving it (albeit just one hour earlier) seems risky. And Scandal to Sundays? It might fix something, but Scandal is one of their highest rated shows.

    Boom, Quantico and Untitled Jenna Bans. The last one seems a likely candidate, but sadly Boom and Quentico don't have a lot of buzz. If ordered to series, I might check out The Catch, Kingmakers and L.A. Crime. What are yours?

    This is a shocker. I thought this would be the first multi-cam to get picked up for the Fall and paired with Last Man Standing. I wonder what happen with it. Wasn't it testing well? I guess with can expect to see Dr. Ken or maybe Uncle Buck is coming on strong.

    I just checked, and last year ABC's renewals and cancelleations came on Thursday May 8, so yeah, I suppose they should announce something today. CW and NBC also picked up new series on May 8, while CBS did so on May 9.

    I would be extremely disappointed if both Boom and Quantico were not picked up. They seem to be favoring Runner which isn't even an ABC studios production. Also both Original Sin and Smoke & Mirrors all seem similar in genre to Runner.

    Anyway, LA Crime is an anthology series and I think it's likely to have shorter seasons. It could alternate with Secrets and Lies' spot with one for fall and one for midseason. It could also take over Mondays at 10 pm with Castle moving elsewhere (or Castle gets a short final season and LA Crime takes over the spot after that). I personally have a gut feeling LA Crime will be held for midseason, at which point it could land anywhere on the schedule.

    I read Curse of Fuentes Women has a solid shot. It is coming on strong. But if picked up, where would NBC schedule it? It doesn't seem to fit with any other shows on their slate. I guess it could go to Friday, where it most likely will fail.

    ABC needs something or the male demographics. And I love Boom's setting being a modern day “Wild West". The premise about towns folks coming to this place to make something of themselves but having to go against roughnecks, grifters, oil barons and criminals fascinated me.
