The Mysteries of Laura - NBC have NOT Pulled next weeks Episode

29 Apr 2015

A certain other site (one that is all too quick to disparage other sites) was reporting that NBC had pulled The Mysteries of Laura. It seems however that they are unable to read a press release :)

NBC have confirmed to us that they have not pulled the episode.

If they had actually read the NBC press releases here they would have seen the actual changes.

Also the schedule is still showing it airing on the 6th. So maybe they should check with NBC first :)

  1. Lol, knew there was something a little off about pulling a show three (?) episodes before the season finale.

This has amused me quite a bit.

  2. The bear's just overfed today, he can't think straight feasting over all the sweet Revenge he got served (BOOYA; double burn)

  3. Wow, you guys are waaaay more subtle than I am. I would have just said "These guys are idiots and here's why"

I don't mean to be rude to the fans, so I'll apologize in advance, but this is one show I can't believe hasn't been cancelled yet, I really tried to like it on Debra Messing's account, but I jsut couldn't.

  5. The bear is always lurking, even though Spoilertv did ban him from the website. ;)

  6. Ha, I had to bite my tongue a couple of times :) especially after they called our BATB renewal news "nonsense" and then 24 hrs later the official renewal announcement came out ;) We quite enjoy that one.

  7. The bear really got banned? Lol why?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Some people didn't like him joking about the cancellations and complained. He's still here, he just can't say anything.

  9. Doesn't matter, it's certain to be bear chow.

  10. I do value that site to a certain degree, but I also enjoy when they get the air pricked out of them every now and then. There's a certain arrogance that is rather unbecoming over there.

  11. Leave it to "Them" to jump the gun for site traffic. I admit I only go there to read the sometimes hilarious comments, but you'd think "They" would have learnd to dig deeper after the Beauty And The Beast incident LOL

    Much nicer and friendly here.

  12. I'm glad they didn't because the ratings haven't been so bad and it's a good show. It's worthy of another season, not cancellation.

  13. While it's not pulled yet, let's just say a repeat does just as well as an original The Mysteries Of Laura. In that case, it will be pulled by tomorrow.

  14. I'm normally not one to root for people to lose their jobs but I'd selfishly like to see this show canned just so there'd be a chance that Meg Steedle and Janina Gavankar would get cast in shows I'm actually willing to watch.

  15. I loved his comments. In any cancellations thread, amidst a deluge of sad/angry posts, his comments made me smile.

  16. @DarkUFO Really enjoying the (justified) snark and shade being thrown around by you guys. ;) :)

  17. Same, he was fun.

But I guess some people were just a little too sensitive for someone joking over the cancellation of a fictional show

    ReplyDelete
  18. very likely,

wich is odd because I thought NBC would be the perfect place for a show appealing to adults 30-....well....this show is skewing so old that I'm going to say 201

  19. The ratings have been a pretty big dissapointment, depends on the shows value now. Comparing productions values (wich I can't say anything about as I don't watch the show) to the revenue the studio is making off of it.

A show being good rarely warrants its survival, sadly it's the numbers game that matters most for television. And in numbers game I mean the immediate numbers for ad revenue a show pulls, unfortunately merchandise comes second

  20. Didn't even know Gavankar was on that show. Would love to see her back on Arrow....mostly because she was the only bearable [murmurmurmur] interest

    ReplyDelete
  21. Forget about the love interest part. It would be nice to have someone on the police force to deal with besides Quentin, especially since he's behind a desk now instead of on the streets.

  23. So much shade y'all, I don't even need sunscreen anymore.

  24. Really? meh, I just always thought his jokes were not the best it could be done with the whole cancellation bear thing. He always missed good burns just to say "another show I ate"

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well, NBC already did something this season with Marry Me, pulling it with four episodes unaired.

    ReplyDelete
  26. of course but with all the shows canned at that time you can't think of a good burn all the time...well...I don't think I could but....challenge accepted!

  27. A certain other site threw the first rock, and on return they get the catapult ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. True. NBC are just a really messed up network lol

  29. We believe here at SpoilerTV that all fans of TV should have a community where they can discuss their favourite shows without being mocked or ridiculed.

Accounts setup to deliberately mock fans when their shows are cancelled or in danger does fit with our community. There are plenty of other unmoderated sites where things like that are accepted like TVBTN but SpoilerTV is not one of them :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. To be fair, none of those sites are spoilertv, so what's the point?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well I personally only visit spoilertv for television news and spoilers because most websites are extremely obnoxious.

Why could the cancellation bear want to go to websites where there are other bears that have a far worse attitude?

As many people as there were who didn't like the bear, I saw far more of them find him entertaining. He never insulted anyone he just made fun of shows getting cancelled.

I've seen, and admittedly been right in the center of, a lot of arguments on this website that offended far more people than the bear ever did.

I can understand wanting to keep this website appropriate for all ages, but comparatively I've seen arguments between members of this site do more "damage" in one conversation than the bear did in his once or twice a year rampage.

In another way, I can also understand not wanting to be compared to TVBTN in any way shape or form considering they have their own bear.

I'm just saying, he wasn't all that bad. He cracked some jokes, he made some people laugh, and others not to much, but if the reason for getting rid of him is because he offended people than half the members on this website would be gone by now. ;)

  32. Catapult? No, this is Trebuchet zone. Spoilertv doesn't throw rocks. They throw humungous boulders. ;) :)

  33. Welcome to the 2015 cancelled shows roast!

Seems like Revenge is a dish that drags four seasons and then is TOO freaking cold to even serve! BOOYAH!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Among tonights roasters are Forever, wich like its creator takes forever to come....to the point. Bordertown, because Seth MacFarlane feels the need to compensate his lacking stamina with pulling out the same sh*t again and again. Hannibal, wich can start eating itself instead of our time. The Mysteries of Kate Wals...erm, some readhead no one's going to remember in 2 years. And of course like every season Beauty and the Beast, a show with producers so coked out and stuffed with execs weiners that not even they know why its still renewed. Plus our special guest: Mulaney, because its cheap and won't get any money

    *drops mic*

  35. are we really THAT offensive? :P

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm pretty sure I've pissed off most of the people who visit this website at one point or another.

    ReplyDelete
  37. well, we all clash from time to time but in the end we're one big dysfunctional family

    ReplyDelete
  38. Good to hear because people can get really out of control sometimes... I just had never seen the bear comment on anything before so was wondering... TVBTN has really fallen apart though... I come here more now so keep up the good work :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow I had never seen him comment on anything so surprised... No wonder TVBTN is the way it is... Monkey see monkey do

  40. Janine was cast in a CBS comedy pilot a few days ago.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Unfortunately, these days a CBS comedy isn't much of a step up from an NBC drama.

Spoiler TV is now my top visited site, on my phone. It overtook TVBTN a couple months ago because I now enjoy this site much more! Thank you :)
