Good news for Middle fans hoping for a renewal. Although not official this pretty much guarantees a renewal and it's ratings are good enough to earn that renewal.

Of the established ABC series, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Once Upon a Time, Modern Family and The Goldbergs are fully expected to come back. The Middle also is looking good, with the cast led by Patricia Heaton locked in with new deals (co-star Charlie McDermott is in first position on CBS pilot Super Clyde but is expected to be part of The Middle in some way), as is Tim Allen Friday comedy Last Man Standing.

    I'm so happy about this because I love the show. And I'm glad Charlie will still be a part of the show no matter what because I love Axl.

    YAAAAY I was so worried. This show is really under appreciated even though it's one of the best comedies on TV. I'm happy for Charlie but I love Axl so I'm glad he'll still be a part of the show.

    Yes! The Middle is a good show. I'm glad Charlie's commitment to Superclyde did not hinder negotiations too much.

    Yes so happy one of the best unrated shows on air still don't get why this show never get a emmy Patricia Heaton and Eden Sher deserve to be nominated

    Good. I was worried that The Middle might get cancelled. ABC seems to wait until late to renew their shows. Remember a few years ago when the cast of Modern Family didn't get new contracts until summer almost cancelling the show.

    hope so too but Aos isn't in that list. Has a lower chance now. :( I hope in no cliffhanger but from what Chloe tweeted "we are gonna s*it our pants" so I assume end with a bang :(
