  1. So we were right when speculating that Benny would be back!

  2. Benny!! Love him, awesome that he´s back :)

  3. BENNY!!! Love that character. Glad to see he is back.

Sam working with Rowena - now, that's a surprise. Good to see different character interactions though.

Who is the young girl? Any ideas?

Could not be any happier. Missed you, Benny!!!

  5. Benny makes me happy. Rowena working with Sam does not.

  6. Yay. I can't believe it! First Bobbie, now Benny. Who's next? Kevin? :D

  7. First Bobby and now Benny. Ratings really must be in the toilet if they're dragging all these past characters back.

  8. Dude....did not expect Benny to be back!

    Very cool. Loved the character.

  9. Isn't it that magic box ep? Of course it would go south if that ultra annoying Rowena is involved. Bet she's after the lost spells of witches.
I hope Dean doesn't drag poor Benny around and throw him out again to save Sam! I hate Taxi Driver.

  10. Wow!This is a shocker.Benny is back!!

  11. Bringing Benny back out of nowhere (I like him, but come on) and having Sam work with Rowena just confirms once again how aimless and nonsensical this whole season is.

  12. BENNY?! AWESOME!!!! but why is Dean in Purgatory?

    ReplyDelete
  13. The purgatory is just to give Dean an excuse to kill and not looking bad. After all he's killing "bad" monsters. I remember Jensen tweeting a photo from this episode using the same jacket but all bloody. It's a way to give in to the MoC and Dean's image not be damaged. Same happened with 10x09, killing humans but bad ones.

Jared told that this episode involved suicides. I just hope that Benny doesn't kill himself to help Dean and Sam has to bear this guilt too.

Since Jared's stunt shot a long fight scene for this episode, we can guess Sam is going to be there too and maybe Dean and Benny work together to help him.

  14. Great points.

I think this is the only picture Jensen tweeted about episode 10.19 The Werther Project:

  15. You're right. I was thinking about the photo posted by Jared's stuntman. My mistake. Thanks =D.

  16. Good to see Benny again one of my favourite characters! Why the hell is Sam working with Rowena??? Does he not know that she is Crowley's mother??? Guess we will find out in the next few episodes :)

  17. Is that the girl from the Hansel and Gretel episode? She looks familiar.

    ReplyDelete
  18. For one that's not how writing works, and two the ratings have been consistent, up until the last three episodes where they took a significant drop. So by the time an ep like "The Things They Carried" or "Paint It Black" aired, "Inside Man" and this episode would have already been filming/been in post.

  19. Less Claire, more Benny.

    ReplyDelete
  20. No. Her character is named "Young Suzie" and it's the actresses first SPN episode.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well people want Sam to go out and do dark things to save Dean because apparently that was the story that emerged from last season so people cannot complain if he works with Rowena or anybody else to save the older brother .

    ReplyDelete
  22. A post elsewhere really sums this up!

"So to recap, the rest of the season will revolve around (Dean and) Charlie, Benny, Castiel, Crowley and Claire? (or as fandom has it: Dean's sister, brother, lover, mistress and surrogate daughter?)"

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's quite possible that Dean didn't tell Sam anything about Rowena. There's really no reason why Sam wouldn't work with her.

    ReplyDelete
  24. it's probably pandoras box aka a
portal to purgatory because pandoras box contains all the evils in the
world. This would explain how Magnus had a zoo of monsters.

    ReplyDelete
  25. And even Dean did tell Sam about Rowena being Crowley's mom, Sam knows Rowena's a powerful witch who might be able to help Dean be rid of the Mark just as the 'de-aging hex/spell' Hansel used in 10.12 did. Sam wants to save Dean and if he has to work with shady characters he'll do it, eyes wide open this time, hopefully. JP and JC's interviews have already said that the boys will ally with persons they never expected to.

  26. I told my dad about Benny coming back and we decided that (if possible) Dean should give Benny the mark and rule over Purgatory with an iron fist and the jaw on an donkey and that would be the spin-off. Benny, The Vampire Slayer

  27. DEAN and BENNY!!! I'm very happy

    ReplyDelete
  28. Confirms how 'good' Show wants Dean to appear as Dean reunites with Benny the former human blood drinking Vamp, turned self-sacrificing Hero to save 'Dean's non-better brother' from Purgatory and how 'bad' Show seems to want (again) to have Sam appear as the 'bad' one as he works side-by-side with Rowena who did her best to kill Dean in 10.17. Phew - long sentence.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I guess we are going to get to watch Dean depending on Benny. The Benny that gave his life so that Dean could get his brother back... And Sam gets to get fooled by the person that wants them dead. So, nothing new here... Sam tries to save Dean and whoops, made a mistake again. It's only been ten years... Maybe Sam will get to save Dean and have a pal that doesn't stab him in the back next year.

  30. How did they ever come up with this "unexpected" plot. *rolling eyes*

    ReplyDelete
  31. I posted elsewhere a few days ago that the worst thing Benny can do (from a Sam Fan POV) is to successfully talk Dean into fighting against the Mark that neither Sam nor Cas have been able to do.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I agree that does appear to be the way the show is going. It's a shame, because Demon Dean /MOC Dean could have been really good. Instead, DD was as scary as a baby duck and MOC Dean did nothing more than grab his arm, looking forlornly in the mirror for episode on end.

I don't mind Sam going darker. The show will take risks with Sam that they chicken out with when it comes to Dean, and JP is always brilliant at that type of conflict. Having Sam do whatever needs to be done to save people is one way, possibly the only way of giving this show the shot in the arms that it needs.

What I'll be more interested in next season will be how Dean reacts to Sam because one thing this season has shown is how . If he reacts like he always has in the past, where his 'support' is more like punishment, then the character will just be a joke, especially in the light of all the people that he's hurt and all the damage that he's done to get what he wants.
