Revenge - Cancelled by ABC

The upcoming finale, slated to air Sunday, May 10, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC, will serve as the end of the series. “We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story,” executive producer Sunil Nayar tells EW. “We’ve been talking to the network and we all just wanted to make sure that we felt very confident. Now that everybody has seen the finale—which is fabulous—everybody understands that as much as we all adore the show, it has hit exactly the mark it needed to to end. This is the series finale of Revenge that will be airing in a couple weeks.”

    Was a good show, specially in the 1nd and 3nd seasons... but revenge needed to end, they haven't nothing else to show us (specially after killing Victoria). Anyway, I'll miss it, I hope to see Emily Vancamp and Madeleine Stowe in my tv again ASAP . Thank you @ABC to let we have 4 seasons.

    I know, this was my favorite show in this entire decade and to see it get cancelled just breaks my heart. All I'm hoping is that we get a sense of closure in the series finale.

    Fairly obvious but still bittersweet, I had a soft spot for this show. It's wish to recreate the magic soaps had on us when we were younger in a different and more engaging format was one fantastic and love-worthy idea.

    I'm glad they could bring the show to a satisfying close. With Victoria being dead the decision must have been made a few months ago already.

    I like Revenge but these past few episodes have felt like an ending so I'm okay with it. Over the years, I've watched many shows that were cancelled without any warning and ended on huge cliffhangers in hopes of getting another season. Thankfully that isn't happening here and Revenge is getting a proper ending. Yeah it kinda sucks but at least Revenge will be getting proper closure.

    I don't find this sad at all. Revenge is that type of show that 4 Seasons is enough. It killed almost all of it's original cast and gave us 4 amazing seasons. It is time to say goodbye to this amazing show :)

    I think its for the best really, the storyline has been wrapping up since the end of S3 really and there is only so long they can keep delaying Amanda's ending. She either gets to be happy or she dies. I hope its happiness.

    Sad, definitely not shocked. Even if I know a show is coming to its natural conclusion, it's the idea that there will be no NEW episodes EVER! I always hate that feeling. It's just... over! Nothing comes next. I hate when things end. But at the same time I'm happy because it's now a complete story that I can rewatch from start to finish whenever I want, but yeah :(

    I've had to make my own custom-made 1080p Revenge blu-rays of Seasons 1-3 (and 4 when it finishes) but actual season sets, or a complete Blu-ray set, would still be enough to take as much money that I have.

    I figured that it would get a pickup but it hasn't yet so who knows. The ratings aren't the greatest and there are a lot of SHIELD haters out there regardless of the Marvel tie-in. I certainly hope it gets a third season because it just keeps getting better-and-better.

    That said, I've read several interviews with Joss Whedon where he talks about SHIELD and he says the Marvel people aren't thrilled with it's part in the MCU because it's affecting the movies in ways they didn't want and/or expect. They're apparently unhappy that Coulson was brought back to life and won't put him in any of the films. Like I said, who knows.

    I stopped watching after the season 6 premiere (simply due to no time whatsoever, I have a mountain of shows to catch up on from this week and last week), but yeah I will be the same too even though I haven't been as thrilled. I want to picture myself in 10 years time going back to the start of TVD (or any show) and have there be so many episodes it will keep me occupied for a long time. Fortunately VD is going to have plenty of episodes to rewatch when it comes to its close - very satisfying to know.

    Really, thanks ABC for letting the writers make a proper send-off. It was the least you could do after the season 2 scheduling mess that ruined both Revenge's and OUAT's ratings.

    The revenge community here wasn't even the most dominant one here, that goes to Castle yet the cancellation I feel has hit people here hard, even though everyone knew it was ending. I can't imagine what it's gonna be like when Castle is cancelled.

    The delay in the announcement was probably an ABC decision. I'm glad the showrunner managed to get approval to announce it himself, properly and let the fans know that the show will get it's real ending. It's the least they owe the loyal fans.

    I'm completely devastated, this show has been a big part of my life for 4 years. It gave me something to look forward to on a weekly basis and I want to thank the cast and crew for that. It will also hurt me to not see it back this coming fall. I will miss seeing Emily Vancamp, Madeliene Stowe, and Gabriel Mann on my screen. This cancellation to me is like loosing a good friend.

    I remember being very much excited about this ever since this promo was released and then watching the pilot pre-season when ABC released it early (for some special media). And then I liked the pilot even better than I thought. I was hooked right away. But this trailer has special value!!

    I´m not surprised and I think deep down nobody is: I was a huge fan in season 1 then, imo, season 2 wasn´t near as good and I slowly lost interest. But I´ll surely watch the last episodes:)

    I'm anti-Aiden and that's no secret, but his storyline was messy and took away from the shows initial brilliant flow.
    When they announced the mother in S01 finale I was like wow bring it on. The decision of making her crazy was bad and the story ended unfinished.

    Actually, I'm very glad that it's ending. Story was already dragged down.

    But don't get me wrong. I was fan and still a fan from the very beginning of Revenge and I'm glad to see a conclusion to a good series.
