  1. That moment between Boyd and Zachariah was great. And I can't believe next week is going to be the series finale. It better get 90 minutes. My prediction for the deaths are: Boon, Markham, Duffy, Ava, and Boyd.

  2. Just one more episode and I'll never hear Boyd say "Damn Raylan" again. Never hear Art call him a dumbass again. I'm going to seriously miss all of these guys.

  3. This was the 'Ozymandias' episode of the Justified series imo. One of the series absolute best episodes.

  4. Brilliant episode. That Boyd-Raylan woods scene was one of the darkest scenes of the show, and I'm so glad Raylan went to save Bob at the end. It'll be interesting to see how this all turns out.

  5. I agree with everyone dying except Ava. I think Loretta gives Markham a dose of Mags special concoction, Raylan takes down Boone. I can't figure out about Ava. I can't see her going back to jail or dying. All I can think of is Raylan lets her go. Not sure how or even if Duffy bites the bullet, he seems like such a cockroach and will survive anything.

  6. Oh boy things are getting serious now. The Boyd and Raylan scene just really shows all their issues with one and other, all that bitterness that has built up over the years. I do wonder that if Boyd and Arlo had never become partners and in a way friends whether Raylan would be half as determined to kill him. Definitely daddy issues play a big part, though i guess its gone beyond that.

I'm really glad Raylan went back for Bob, he hasn't crossed the line (yet)

  7. Never get any more Gutterson sass. Sighs.

  8. I feel like every one of these past few episodes are the best and then the next episode tops it! Definitely has the same winning streak as Breaking Bad's final season.

  9. Markham actually knew all about that trick the first time he was at Loretta's.

  10. That discussion about the reality vs. the legend of an outlaw was pretty brilliant.

  11. I feel like they are deliberately trying to take away Boyd's likableness and trying to make Rayland more likable this season. Everyone I know has been hoping that, if one of them has to die, it's Rayland since he has become such a jerk. I guess they decided they had to make him the hero again and Boyd the demon at the end. My guess is that somehow Boyd will die saving Ava. Really wish they hadn't added Boone this season he is so silly that he just he brings the show to a screeching halt every time he is on the screen. Hope Loretta kills him.

  12. Shea Whigham is a fantastic actor.

The shot at the end of the two state troopers with their guns on Raylan was an extraordinary piece of directing.

  13. Excellent episode and excellent season build. It's very rare in today TV that there are three main characters in the show and you can't tell one episode before the finale who will survive, because from none to three all options are possible.

Boyd is the most likely to die, with all of his charm it was emphasised very much that he isn't a good guy. (Note: it started in S5, so it's not a sudden change.) Regarding Raylan and Ava, I don't know. I can't see her going back to jail, but I wouldn't be satisfied if she would ride into the sunset either - which leaves her also to be crossed out. And even though Raylan has some background to where he would want to return, it wouldn't be a disappointment to me if the "never leave Harlan alive" were true to him as well. It would be sad, but would fit into the show.

Anyhow, I agree that though with much less hype than BB had, Justified also plays its absolute A game with this final season.

  14. Excellent episode. Fantastic final season. All leading up to next week's final hour of Justified. Didn't read this week's post mortem. Want to go in next week almost spoiler free.

I am pretty sure now that Boyd is going to die. Still holding out hope that he dies trying to save Ava from Markham after partnering up with Raylan for one last time. That would be bittersweet.

Loretta - I think she will end up being a survivor and the future Queen of Harlan. Right now she has a tentative partnership with Markham but Markham is definitely going down next week. He has Ava and Raylan (and probably Boyd) is/are going to come after him to try ad save her. No way is he getting out alive.

Ava - I cheered when I saw her on the bridge. Looked like she was heading to Limehouse but got blind sided by those county cops. I still don't feel comfortable with Ava getting away with everything. Since she has already left the bulk of money hidden somewhere, I am guessing she gets to leave Harlan with that money she has in her backpack. Maybe start an ice cream shop in Virginia or somewhere. I could see Raylan letting her go.

Duffy - he is making concrete plans to go away permanently but then again why did he request a topographical map (showing natural and man made features) of Harlan County from that woman? What is he thinking? What is his game plan?

Finally, Raylan - At this point it could go either way. He may or may not survive. If he dies at Boon's hand, it could be setting up a scenario where a person who was famous for drawing and firing the quickest is at last put down by someone who draws and fires even more fast than him.

Or maybe he gets shot by Boon, but still manages to kill him, survives his wounds and then retires to Florida to be with Winona and the baby.

  15. Boone this season he is so silly that he just he brings the show to a
screeching halt every time he is on the screen. Hope Loretta kills him.

I have enjoyed Boon's introduction. IMO, he is a great character. As much as I wish Loretta to be the one who kills him, I feel that his death will come at Raylan's hand.

  16. I like his character too (I mean as an addition ro the season, not as a person). Have I not seen the promo, I would say that I could imagine Loretta was killing him eg. with a cup of Mag's Best Moonshine. Boone isn't from around to know about it. But after the promo I doubt this situation could happen.

I also feels unlikely that he kills Raylan. He isn't important enough in the show, only a colourful secondary character. IMHO if Raylan dies it will either happen by one of the main characters, or some absolutely ridiculous bad luck, like a bad joke of fate. Boone doesn't fit into any cathegory.

  17. For the finally, it would be nice to see Tim fire his sniper shot on Boone or Boyd in an unexpected plan with Raylan.

  18. I predict Duffy and Ava will live. I'm also not so sure Tim, Rachel AND Art will ALL survive. One of them is expendable. Boon and Boyd are goners. Markham? Could die or be arrested. I HOPE Raylan lives.

  19. I like the idea of Loretta giving Boone and/or Markham some of Mag's Apple Pie.

  20. TV Guide has the finale scheduled for 67 minutes long.
