POLL : What did you think of The Flash - All Star Team Up?

  1. The Flash was really trying to outdo Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze with all their bee puns tonight.

  2. Honestly didn't like the episode. Emily Kinney didn't get much to do until the hack-off against Felicity, Iris got saddled with an annoying sub-plot again, and Ray Palmer is just a big no for me. This was a rare miss for The Flash, IMO.

  3. I hated it. I tried I really did. But I couldn't stand it. I didn't know wtf I was watching. I didn't like my characters, I couldn't take Ray, too much of him. It was intolerable. I didn't like Eddie, Iris, most of Cisco, Felicity, Brie. It just didn't work for me.

The only thing I liked was the very beginning. I liked everything up until that LAME ASS SUPERMAN JOKE! That turned off my whole mood. Then he did the douchy thing buying out the restaurant, the Atom suit just didn't work for me, I found it Sooo cheesy. The jokes sucked. I just ugh!!

Ok back to things I liked. Joe and Barry. Barry stepping up with Iris. I liked their talk. The ending where Barry let's Caitlin and Cisco in on the secret, and Cisco reveals his "dreams".

What saved this episode for me. Cisco's visions, Felicity's pep talk to Barry, and only two Felicity one liners.."BOOM! Drop the mic!" LOL She lifted her arms and everything (check out her guns) and Wells was cracking up. Other line. "I feel like she's my nemesis. I never had a nemesis before...I kinda like it." Although, I don't believe that to be true b/c I considered Clock King her nemesis. But if she's talking about JUST computers, then yeah w/e.

Anyway. Episode sucked. I was terribly bored. Just watching. Lost. This episode didn't fit in anywhere.

  4. IT WAS AS CREEPY AS IT SOUNDS FELICITY. You can make every single character in the Arrowverse tell us that Ray is a good man but I will never like him.
People are dying and Felicity is sitting coolly drinking coffee and joking?
That dinner scene was as uncomfortable as they come. Actually the whole episode felt weird and uncomfortable and the acting and directing were so cheesy at times.
Ok that first scene was awesome but Barry stop bragging in front of criminals it's very unbecoming. I'm not even gonna comment on the Barry in Oliver's body line because I'm sick of getting irritated by it.

The few things I liked about that episode is how worried Joe was about Barry.
Barry finally trusting Caitlin and Cisco.
Barry trusting Felicity and her saying stay away from Barry Allen.
Felicity having a nemesis although it was kinda meh.
    Felicity talking about Oliver.
    Barry and Iris talk.
    Cisco remembers what Eobard did.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Oh my god! Too true. It was just dreadful.

    ReplyDelete
  6. So I will be really annoyed by Ray?

    ReplyDelete
  7. They kept promoting this episode for nothing ! I dislike that one. I was bored while watching. The only parts that I like was Cisco's parts. Even the nemesis thing didn't work for me. Meh. Also, upset with the writers by how they are slowly degrading Felicity's character. You should kill her once for all *sarcasm*. Next week will be definitely interesting !

    ReplyDelete
  8. Going to start with the Bad:

The puns, OMG the puns were sooooo bad.

Felicity telling Ray Barry's secret and then telling Barry about Oliver/LoA and Laurel's secret. I get these EPs have some weird adversion to secret identities but they should NOT have people telling others.

And the worst offender. Cisco having dreams about an event that NEVER happened. Cisco didn't have a memory wipe, time was altered, the events that lead to Cisco's death were totally re-written. FFS!

    Now the Good:
    Felicity/Barry scenes were quite wonderful.
Ray/Cisco scenes were very fun and entertaining
Ray really being a dorky, eccentric weirdo...and the show acknowledging that
Felicity's "beeeee careful" line, followed by the "Really?"
Felicity's "drop the mic" moment. ..I litterly laughed out loud and, i'm pretty sure that was Tom Cavenaugh laughing, not Wells.

Now for Iris. I'm not a fan of the character but, Iris not knowing is stupid at this point. The problem for me, is that I don't care if Iris knows and I get the feeling that the show doesn't either. Iris not knowing isn't even about her, they're playing it about Eddie. i love Eddie and all I could think about is how this secret is affecting Eddie, not Iris being in the dark. It also has me terrified that Eddie is going the way of Tommy and I will not forgive them if they pull that shit again.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Like you can't imagine!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ray & Cisco geeking out was the only thing enjoyable. Felicity and her puns didn't work for me at all.

    ReplyDelete
  11. If they had only done one or two it would have been fine. I got a chuckle out of one or two. Unfortunately they went way way overboard.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I did love that line... "You stay AWAY FROM BARRY ALLEN!" That was great. And Felicity talking about Season 1 Oliver. That was nice. That made me smile.

On that other Thing that I won't bring up. When I heard that thing, I could hear you yelling. I even closed my eyes and ears, it was like a Banshee was coming for me. That's how loud you were.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Read the other comments but I differ and enjoyed the episode. Though Iris is annoying the dickens out of me. Felicity is a jewel.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I liked the regular Flash storylines a lot, except Cisco remembering something that never happened. Unless this is some weird side-effect of time travel on this show or something.

I'm a Felicity stan for life, but I don't think she really fit in this ep tonally for where the show is at the moment. And I'm super annoyed at Ms. "That's not my secret to tell," you know, telling everyone's secrets.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeah you really will. Brace yourself. = /

    ReplyDelete
  16. the episode looked terrible from the previews/promos/over-hype and (from the comments) it looks like it might live up, can't wait to watch the train wreck!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm not a fan of skipping episodes plus it has some moments relevant to the the main Flash SL but you will hate 98% of it. So the decision is up to you.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It was okay, but I have a serious problem with Felicity telling Barry's secret without even asking him.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I really enjoyed this episode. It was campy, humorous, action packed, and emotional. Felicity was her delightful, talented self. Ray finally got to successfully use his A.T.O.M. suit. The Flash's plot moved forward on two fronts. Cisco is starting to have flashbacks of his death. Barry finally realized he can trust Cisco and Caitlyn so much so that he let them in on his investigation of Wells. I'm so glad Cisco told Barry of his "dreams". Also, Dr. McGee gave Barry some important insight to who Harrison Wells was before his car accident that killed his wife. All of this are pieces to the puzzle the Flash crew are placing together to get a clearer picture of who Harrison Well really is.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I KNEW YOU'D REMEMBER ME. Admit it, it did make you smile in the midst of a horrible episode lol

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks for the heads up. :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. tbh Cisco was the BEST thing on this episode, like really! He is becoming more and more awesome..as if it were possible

and that dinner scene..omg..most awkward dinner ever!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Also Felicity stating "Thats not my secret to tell" Yet she completely outted everyone of her friends identity within one scene lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. Okay. How far into the episode does she say something about Oliver?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Exactly. One or two was fine. BUT every other word out of their mouth was a pun and iI couldn't take it. The one that really killed me was Cisco and Ray saying "BUG-EYED BANDIT" IN UNISON!!! And Cisco didn't even have a problem with it, WHAT??? They tried wayyy too hard to sell this "instant chemistry" between Cisco and Ray, and it seriously didn't work for me. "Bee careful. Bad pun just don't die." "I never had anyone take a bee for me." "Cisco you're a hero man." What??? Like he hasn't been a "hero" since this show started??? WTF WAS THIS???? Give me a break! This was terrible. At least with Batman and Robin I can laugh hysterically at how bad it is, THIS, THIS was just downright cringe-worthy painful!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Depends on what you mean by that. She mentioned getting away from the mood and brood(Oliver of course) early in the episode. In the middle she rambles on and tells Barry that Oliver might join the league but in the second half of the episode comes the good talk.

    ReplyDelete
  27. So gifs so i wont be messing up my Arrow timeline?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I like Ray

    come at me

    ReplyDelete
  29. At this point, I'd rather just cut off your head, and spare you the trouble that was this hour.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That episode is really a stand alone episode. It doesn't relate to Arrow in anyway and I don't see anything happening here that you need to know for Arrow. Except that Ray apparently got a new power source for the suit.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have a feeling from the comments (haven't seen it yet) that this episode was more designed for Ray and potentially what his show will be like.

    ReplyDelete
  32. So Ray is annoying this episode. Good to know that some things will never change.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Was it a buzz-kill?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Okay, I've got to give another point of view here. I thought Ray was the same as he's ever been in this episode. He was funny, charming, intelligent, and brave. Not to mention he does look like a real life Disney prince. I've always enjoyed this character and hope the spin-off is a huge success because I like BR. This is coming from someone who would love to see Felicity and Oliver together. I just hope when the time comes, Ray and Felicity can part on the best of terms.

    ReplyDelete
  35. i am just gonna watch the Barry/Felicity gifs and the boom the mike scene with Wells then.

    ReplyDelete
  36. you can't seriously expect these comments to reflect anything else but "nononononono" stuff

    ReplyDelete
  37. hahahahahahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  38. LOL If the future show is like that i'am not going to watch it for sure ! xD

    ReplyDelete
  39. I smirked. But it wasn't a smirk smirk. It was more like a , "ouch, there it is." Scrunchy face. I said, "Damn Koky's Just lost it." I felt bad for you, in all honesty.

    ReplyDelete
  40. in general I have no problem with Ray, I think his show will be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  41. yeah, people don't seem to get the point of his chracter.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Him & Cisco was the high point. Ray hasn't done one thing bad for people to dislike him so I just disregard the hate for Ray as shipper b.s

    ReplyDelete
  43. LOL! Oh, God. That bad?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't think an episode gave me a headache before that one. And what's with Felicity telling everyone about everyone's secret? WTH? And the whole he's trust worthy and I don't hide anything from her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. it's not about the point, it's about being an obstacle

    ReplyDelete
  46. how about....you watch it yourself and make that decision on your own instead of listening to others? Instead of setting yourself up to hate something one could also approach something with an open mind....jus' saying

    ReplyDelete
  47. I mean the good talk. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Are you surprised? They are writing to get from A-G. No matter how OOC it is.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It was just so UGH

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yeah that was a bunch of bullshit. So out of left field. I actually smiled when she said, "Well it's not like I tell you everything, sometimes it's best to just shut up." And Eddie said, "I get that."

    ReplyDelete
  51. I am not surprised. As bad as Arrow can be i dont want AK near it again.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think I was too busy trying to lower my blood pressure to smile at anything. smh

    ReplyDelete
  53. Beeches bee shipbeeing

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sigh. You may find a few things you like. I mean it'll be hard, but it's there. You have to squint though. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  55. What's the fun in that when they know me so well. lol

    ReplyDelete
  56. TheRISEofCAPALDI15 April 2015 at 02:38

Yep I feel the same, I feel like most people who hate Ray on this site only hate him because he's with Felicity, honestly I hope the writers don't end up putting her and Oliver together just to cater to the annoying fangirls because I feel like that's something they would do.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I agree! He needs to stick the Flash because it's working for him even though he can't stop selling every two human beings on the show as a couple.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Later half of the episode at Jitters.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Free will? Who needs dat shyte, amirite? :P

    ReplyDelete
  60. LOL. Okay. Thanks. :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. They're hatin' who's pollinatin'.

    ReplyDelete
  62. they will, just to appease them

    ReplyDelete
  63. Okay. Barry/Felicity talk at Jitters. Thanks. :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. they strive to overtake the writers hive
cuz some Ray is nesting who they feel is their existential blessing
but with their dictatin' they're just making me fan-hating
man cause jus' like pollen they remind me of Joseph Stallin

    *drops mic*

    ReplyDelete
  65. if Felicity shows up with Oliver as her bf next year the just-Flash watchers will have a beautiful picture of hers

    ReplyDelete
  66. *snaps fingers in approval then orders more overpriced fair trade coffee*

    ReplyDelete
  67. but I also give allowance to the fact that many people who comment (and judging by how they do so) have never been in an adult relationship or understand the bullshit that goes on between people in layered interactions.

honestly, these characters are simplistic compared to real shit that happens in life, but they are complex enough that emotionally immature get tripped up.

    ReplyDelete
  68. man, we'd have too much fun at rap battles while presenting our Starbucks written hipster lyrics :P

    ReplyDelete
  69. It really was. It just wasn't funny. I really tried with it. But it was just Sooo corny.

    ReplyDelete
  70. You do realize he was making a bee pun?

    ReplyDelete
  71. the existential need to have two fictional characters together alone speaks for the need to live through these characters to at least at some point see the relationship they'd want suggesting that they're not in a healthy (or any) relationship.

    ReplyDelete
  72. It wasn't just Ray. (Though a big part of it) It was everything.

    ReplyDelete
  73. so it probably did sting pretty badly. Oh honey..I get that :P

    ReplyDelete
  74. or they have no personal fulfillment. but then you can go down the emotional philosophical or perhaps Freudian/Jung rabbit hole all day based on some of the things that get said around these parts.

    ReplyDelete
  75. That went right over my head. HahaHahahaha I'm just Sooo mad. I'm so disgusted. This episode left a bad taste in my mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  76. You're not the only one.

    ReplyDelete
  77. On the subject of Cisco remembering or having "dreams" I have a theory that it's b/c it was the WAY it happened for him. The way Wells killed him, effected him, b/c of Wells' connection with Barry. I mean they're both Speedsters, smae being all that. Cisco's human. I think the interaction of the event is why Cisco is remembering.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Is this the episode that was to be after tomorrow's Arrow? I think it might be, So I'm gonna resist and not watch til tomorrow. Lets see if I can do it.

    ReplyDelete
  79. This was the episode that was supposed to be before tomorrow's episode.

    ReplyDelete
  80. or was it suppose to be before 3x18 Arrow?

    ReplyDelete
  81. ah shit, you mean I already messed up...

    ReplyDelete
  82. Um, excuse me, I feel like i need to say something, b/c you seem to be implying something? But i need to clearify. I dislike BR. A lot actually, therefore him being on my favorite show as a character I don't like, WILL/DOES turn me off. I can take him in tiny doses, (mostly when he's just chilled down In a more serious mode) but him being in my face for 55 min of a POS filler episode is too much for me. I've clearly stated I didn't like this episode as a whole. (And i was looking forward to this episode, keeping an open mind) I didn't even like my favorite characters. This whole thing was off. The villain was terribly underused, the one liners were cheesy, the action was non existent. This has nothing to do with Ray and Felicity. My dislike has nothing to do with them being together. Felicity could be with Oliver and I'd still hate Ray. Oliver and Ray could be the best of friends and I'd still hate Ray. Ray and Felicity could be broken up and I'd STILL hate Ray!! I don't like him at all and i want BR OFF my show!! You know what this episode was? It was a bootleg version of a backdoor pilot, and i didn't agree with it. I also never cared for The Atom either. So there's Also that. And i will NOT be watching his series, as i feel the writers are just over their heads with this one.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Damn, The Flash just made the first misstep of the season with this one which is really disappointing for me since they have brought their A game so far until tonight. All that hype (seriously, A LOT of hype and promotion) for an overall sucky episode. Bleh. I somewhat like Ray when he's not pining over Felicity but holy moly were they practically shoving him down our throats the whole time! And none of the characters were themselves whatsoever (especially Felicity). Also, Brie was criminally underused. I mean we didn't even get to see Felicity and Brie come face to face in person? What the hell? And don't even get me started on the cheesy as hell dialogue! I was groaning so much at almost every scene. I feel bad that Iris is basically the only person who doesn't know that Barry is the Flash but she really annoyed me tonight with all the "You better tell me what's going on or I'm breaking up with you" stuff with Eddie. Poor guy. Oh well they all can't be stellar episodes. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road for the show since next weeks episode looks really great.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I actually liked them, they were really corny and fit with the humour the flash is synonymous with.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Some of the Olicity fans in these comment sections are ravenous, you should watch out they might eat you.

    ReplyDelete
  86. The Flash is not immune to corny humor and that's okay but they don't relentlessly beat the audience over the head with it like they did in this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  87. THIS^^ ALL of this!!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah that's what I meant. Sorry should've been specific.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I mean we didn't even get to see Felicity and Brie come face to face in person? What the hell?

I agree. After watching the producer's promo and reading the Flash comic, I thought Brie was specifically after Felicity, and specifically hated Felicity. The way they tied it all together doesn't make any sense with what they previously set up.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Nah, this was supposed to be before 18, and technically it still is b/c tomorrow is episode 19.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Yeah that's what I meant. He said after, but I said before, not necessarily before 19, but before 18, before. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  92. Lol The shippers are out in full force with their Ray hate. Anyway on the episode, I thought it was great because it finally took that big step in the Flash Vs reverse Flash overarching story.

    On Iris:

I don't know if I'm really a fan of Iris, or maybe they just need to do something different with her... They keep wasting her character on all of these crappy romance subplots. They should give her something interesting to do, like maybe her job as a reporter, I mean her colleague just died yet there is no mention of that.

    On Eddy:

Am I the only one that thinks that Eddy has been working with Wells this entire time ? The guy just seems really suspicious, his timing with with dating Iris and his general demeanour are really weird. Maybe I'm being paranoid with his character but he just seems off.

    ReplyDelete
  93. But thats what makes it funny, because it's not funny at all yet the characters think it's funny. Also I don't feel like they beat us over the head with the jokes... They were fine, I think you're overreacting.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Yeah I think it would have been better if they had a past between them that went south instead of "Oh! I never had a nemesis before, I kinda like it" from Felicity. IMO, they should have never done that whole "I'm going to terrorize my old boss because she didn't like how I was handling the robotic bees" with Brie and just made a plot that had her going after Felicity in a big way because she was jealous of her or something.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Episodes get better and better the bee puns from Queen Bee gave a impact I loved.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I loved it. I was laughing most of the episode. I thought they used Cisco's flashbacks to finding out and dying really effectively without being too emotionally manipulative. Ray fit in with the team very easily and they integrated him nicely. Plus, I always love Felicity and Barry being friends. Iris was bugging me. They need to get away from the superhero girlfriend tropes with her, they are tired and obnoxious.

So many good lines (Ray and Cisco co-naming, repeating the Cool, I mean awful, etc), but I loved Felicity's drop the mic, metaphorically one. It was a great harkback to her season 1 fist pump. Yes, she really does do it.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Next time it will be about Felicity. She is her nemesis now.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I get the concept of not funny being funny but that could have been accomplished with about 80% less bee-related puns. Overkill kills jokes. That's what happened tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Humor is subjective, to each their own I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Oh of course now it will be about Felicity the next time she sees her when she breaks out of Iron Heights (the easiest prison to escape from). Hopefully it will be on Arrow next time though.

    ReplyDelete
  101. So i just came from an Imagine Dragons concert... Was the CGI of the episode good? More exactly, The Atom fighting.

    ReplyDelete
  102. One scene I forgot to mention that I really did like. It goes to Joe. I'm going to paraphrase a bit. Joe and Eddie in the precinct.

    Joe: "I'm her father."
Eddie: "And I'm her boyfriend. When does my word override yours?"
Joe: "When you become her husband!"

DAMN RIGHT JOE! Fatherly love FTW. That was unexpected, and definitely got a reaction out of me. Probably my only reaction through the episode. I literally said, "Ewwwww dayum."

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm not sure why you're upset with my post because I wasn't implying anything. I thought I was pretty straight forward. There are those who like Ray Palmer and those who don't. I just happen to be one that does like this character. Nothing more ... nothing less. There are other factors why I enjoyed this episode, but I've already mentioned that in my first post in this thread.

    ReplyDelete
  104. So, it takes a Flash episode to get glimpses of the previous seasons' Felicity? the kick ass kind? This just makes them not giving her a better plot on Arrow all the more annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  105. At last a Flash episode that missed the mark. The whole episode was wonky. They really should not have done this crossover in this episode and I do not think next week's crossover is going to work either. Why do crossovers when events happening in both shows does not align. Wherever in Starling City timeline we place this episode be it after 3x17 or before Felicity's behavior is really ooc. This crossover felt forced. Also Ray/Felicity relationship whatever the problems it has always felt like it is between two adults on Arrow where as the whole relationship looked childish here on Flash. Ray Palmer was himself. He is way funny here than he is in Arrow. I really liked Ray/Cisco team up. It was so funny. I don't know if it is because Flash has better cgi, the ATOM suit in flight did not look that impressive here.

Cisco having flashbacks to alternate timeline is such a convenient thing to happen. Why is Caitlin, Joe or Iris not getting these flashbacks. All of them went through traumatic experiences in the alt timeline. If it is explained it is because he was touched with speed force I will be happy. Otherwise meh. Also does jump starting ones heart makes the poison go out of ones body? Cisco seemed really okay after that heart attack.
Brie Larvan/Emily Kinney had hardly anything to do. Also if she is Felicity's nemesis from Flash zero comics then they did not act like it nor did they really work to develop an animosity between the ladies.

The awful dinner, Eddie and Iris drama... it was all so boring. Eddie can't lie to save his life. Really? The only interesting thing I had with that whole drama was the look on Eddie's face when Barry apprehended all criminals in the jewellery shop. He is clearly jealous.

A below average filler episode saved by the final scene. Scarlet Speedster missed his mark this time.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I was not upset. Confused not upset, b/c I felt you were implying something, so I questioned it. Therefore feeling the need to be more specific on why I myself did not care for the episode or said character. Which i believed, i was also straight forward about (in my first comment) and simply just answering Sarah's question. As i know she also does not care for Ray. I too understand that people like him, and I have no problem with that. Just for the record. If you found something you liked about the episode. Good, glad your hour was somewhat fulfilling. And if you weren't implying anything, then that was my mistake, and I read it wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I like Ray and I liked him this episode except the restaurant part. Him and Cisco were fun. But man this episode sucked. It was really bad.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Then maybe you should watch the episode and then decide. Ray was least of the problem in this one. It was overall a very bad episode.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I'm an olicity shipper ans I prefer felicity to end up alone than to stay another minute with ray. When are they going to break up?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Danielle Thomas15 April 2015 at 06:05

It was a good episode. Im actually glad this was an episode based on an actual human being as the enemy and not a meta human. Please tell Iris soon cause that story line is getting old to me. Literally everyone knows but her. Felicity was awesome, "Boom drop the mic" love her. Glad Cisco is getting his memories back about Wells.

    ReplyDelete
  111. AWESOME EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED THE TEAM UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Palmer and Cisco's bromance was off the charts!!!!! finishing each other sentences and naming the Bug-Eyed Bandit together LOL. I have never seen someone who is NOT a time traveler remember another timeline, it's crazy, Cisco Ramon PLEASE stop dying!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. It was supposed to be before 1x17. Blame Kreisberg and the CW, he forced a rewrite.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Also kinda Ray's in a sense. Well much more if he shrunk. But at least it was his first hero outing.

    ReplyDelete
  114. He did good for his first time out.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Easily the worst episode of the series...
    - Weak COTW was responsible for a lot of bad puns and forced situations.....
    - Not enough Joe and Barry time.....
    - Not enough time spent on Wells.....
    - Too much Ray shoehorned in.....

I know Ray stated his suit was impervious to bees, but doesn't have an open mask and an exposed chin? Not to mention areas of the suit leave his red body suit exposed and its much thinner than Barry's suit... Meh, not worth thinking about...

Overall ti felt like the filler episode it was...

    ReplyDelete
  116. Better than most.

  117. So it is supposed to happen after 1x18?? Okay before 3x17 makes sense. But then in 3x17 Felicity did not know Ray's suit was working. There is no point in figuring this out. Most of the jokes by Felicity in particular felt a bit too forced for me. That's all. Ray/Cisco scenes were really cool.

So it is because Cisco was murdered due to vibrations that he is able to have these memories. Then it is fine.

Flash could do better though. By Flash standards it was a strictly average episode.

    ReplyDelete
  118. It was 'good'. Wasn't great like The Flash has been at all. I hated the writing of making Barry not being able to outrun mechanical bees or basically die from cardiac arrest which you would think wouldn't be a problem for Barry as the Speed Force could have stabilized his body. The episode just felt like a forceful entry in making Atom "cool" once again.

  119. Wow alot of people seemed to really dislike this episode? I was not one of them I found it rather enjoyable. It was by no means my favourite episode but deifnitely not the worst in my opinion. In the beginning I was never a fan of Ray, however with more time I have come to enjoy his character more as his story progresses. This episode in particular had me enjoying his character the most from any series so far. I liked the bromance between him and Cisco and the overall action that he brought to the table.

My main gripes of the episode are that the villain was underused, and alot of time was wasted on personal character development that didn't fit in with the current mood of either series. It definitely felt like a filler, which I am okay with because of how serious things will be getting in the coming weeks it was a fresh air episode for me.

I am also wondering if that is how Iris is going to discover who Barry is through her "dreams" of the alternate timeline?? interesting concept that I cannot wait to see more of. Cannot wait till tomorrow for arrow and next week for the new Flash

    ReplyDelete
  120. I felt Brie was underused. Her defeat was also anticlimactic. Caitlin is really loyal to Wells. I understand though since she'll eventually be a villain. I'm looking forward to the Reverse Flash episode next week.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I did and it was.

    ReplyDelete
  122. He was good. Him and Cisco were the bright spots this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  123. It's more just like temporal timeline fluctuations. It could be because of the vibration (and somehow it and the Speed Force) left a mark vibration wise on Cisco (different timelines, universe, and dimensions all have different frequencies like in Fringe) or if everyone starts experiencing memories it could be that the timelines are converging and people are remembering it as it once was.

    ReplyDelete
  124. - For how much they built up Brie vs Felicity, I expected her to stick around.
    - If Caitlin is the bio person, then why was Cisco looking at the bee under the microscope?
    - Iris has always been way underutilized in this series, more of a plot device than a person. It seems like Caitlin is going this way too. If she wasn't already. It seems like just about her only use was to bring Firestorm into the show.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I'm glad you're happy. I liked that scene too until I realized he clearly is going to propose. I was half expecting him to do it in the last scene and tell her that the reason he's been distanced is because he was nervous.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Hopefully tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  127. The episodes are not connected at all.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I think it is specific for Cisco since he experienced that vibration inside his body. Otherwise everyone else should have flashes.

I have a question for you. Do you think in this small time travel that happened on the show Wells/Eobard has memories of both timelines or he is unaware of the timeline where he killed CIsco?

    ReplyDelete
  129. I was so mad and bored I forgot to use Scarlet Speedster. Actually no they don't deserve it this week, smh.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Barry is so not making this secrecy so secretive from Eobard Thawne.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I think they already did in the last episode of Arrow. Didn't they?

    ReplyDelete
  132. I really, really don't like that Cisco remembers. It just doesn't make any sense. In this timeline it didn't happen, so there should be nothing to remember (except for Barry). If it was Eobard because of his own speedster powers/time travel expierence, okay, but they better come up with a good explanation for this. It seems to me they're haven't given it much thought how time travel is supposed to work in the show. It's the same with Barry saving himself in the pilot and then later transfering his mind in his past body - two completely different approaches for time travel.

If Barry had planned things with Iris and Eddie to go the way they did, he's an evil genius.

    ReplyDelete
  133. It only shows that she's not living like a monk.

    ReplyDelete
  134. It was a very below average episode. Even the filler episodes of Flash before is too far above this one. And funny thing is Ray is the least of the problem. The whole episode, writing, awful dialogues. *sigh* I envy @Sparky who decided not to watch this one. AoS was so good this week.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I was annoyed by that whole exchange. So a father and husband gets to decide what is good for a woman and run her life as they seem fit. Excellent. Joe is an idiot in this matter.

    ReplyDelete
  136. ATOM on the whole was good in his first real outing. But for me the cgi did not look that impressive. For me the Firestorm flying cgi was way better than ATOM one this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  137. If only I can get that hour of my life back. It was? Haven't seen it yet.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Remember Shannon, you ask for it. lol

I don't post on Flash threads a lot or Arrow.(too many irons in the fire).... I honestly still don't know where this episode falls in the crossover timeline, but it was a turd in the punch bowl....

What's up with all the terrible lines "Ray the tool" gets, they come off dorky, not funny.... "I have trouble keeping it up"..... "I never had anyone take a bee for me"

Felicity..... calling Ray sweetie and draping herself all over him this ep...."It's like I'm dating Barry in Oliver's body" WTF.... Maybe I should stay away from CW shows....seems they have a nack for making me dislike a character I started out loving....the triangle carp sucks, the way they write it. Does JP consult on all the shows? lol

What an instant man-crush Cisco had on Ray.....I expect he'll get a sex change and want Ray's babies....:)) They finished sentances for each other the whole episode. It was a geek love fest. Don't get me wrong I like Cisco (what a great name for a Geek =) .

Seems to the the crossover had two goals.....break up Iris/Eddie and out Wells....so I guess it was a success in that respect..... I know I'm probably in the minority but I really don't want Iris with Barry.... she made her choice...

I hope the second half of the crossover tonight is better, but I think this one will leave that taste in my mouth too..... Their going to have Felicity and Oliver hook up and make her look a little Elena-ish.....at least Oliver and Ray aren't brothers....hahahhahah

    ReplyDelete
  139. Dismissing all Ray hate as "lol shippers" is just as dumb as people who hate him because of shipping.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Eh, I don't like you trying to turn this into some gender issue. It's just a parent thing.

I'm pretty sure I've heard something exactly like that in another show but it was between a mother and a girlfriend(or fiance).

    ReplyDelete
  141. When all was said and done, I only ended up watching at most 20 minutes after fast forwarding.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I like the episode, but it was kind of a mess. A lot was happening at the same time and felt very divided:

    - I like Felicity knocking some sense into Barry, she's like the heroe's whisper(like Cesar Milán but with heroes instead of dogs). Loved all their scenes as usual.

    - Ray was better now that he was far from the love triangle for one week. But one of my problems is that instead of developing his character into his own person, the writers are like "ok, he is a nerd like Barry", "he's tall and muscular like Oliver, "he says innuendos like Felicity". They need to stop telling he is a scrap of other characters and show us what makes Ray be Ray.

    - The CGI was great as always. I felt pretty confident about The Atom.

    - The Wells mistery is getting better.

    - Now, Cisco remembering, that was cheap. Why is he the only one, thou.

    - The villain was way underused. They gave us this speech about Felicity's némesis and was pretty small. Hope she comes back on Arrow. I liked her, so it would be great for her to be explored.

    - Iris and Eddie are, again, being underused. But i loved that Eddie pointed out how stupid is to not tell Iris. So kudos for him.

So, it wasn't the best episode... I guess Felicity makes everything better and she was more like "Season 2 Felicity" this time around... But it was good and solid.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Like I told Shannon above, all and all I only watched at most 20 minutes. But I did laugh at Barry's reaction to Felicity telling him about Oliver, Laurel, and Thea. And I did like their conversation near the end at Jitters.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Lmaoooo. Couldn't get through it huh?

    ReplyDelete
  145. I didn't get that impression at all. I mean it may happen, him asking, but that's not what the point of that scene was.

    ReplyDelete
  146. It wasn't the point of the scene but the only thing missing was a neon sign that says foreshadowing lol

    ReplyDelete
  147. Glad you liked something :D

    ReplyDelete
  148. You do know this wasn't my actual comment right? This episode was the worst. None of the characters were themselves, way too much trying to be something else. This was not one of OUR crossovers, this whole thing had an entirely different feel altogether. Again I say, bootleg backdoor pilot for the Atom series. It was terrible. And this was, to me, the first bad episode since the series started. Why do you not comment on the Really good episodes of both shows? Why only comment on the first bad one? There's a few things i'm looking forward to next week. I think it'll be better than this, actually, I KNOW it will. The CW really screwed up the TL with this episode. Why they even bothered to air it is beyond me. But w/e it takes place before Arrow 18, so that's all that matters. (Even though there just wasn't time). And I really disagree with your last paragraph, a lot actually. But I won't get into it. Frankly, b/c i'm tired and want to go back to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I enjoyed it too...people seem to be all over the board on this ep...I thought it was quirky and fun..and it really was more about Barry come to terms about who he could trust more than the villain of the week. And I loved the puns..I laughed out loud so much...Felicity is great on whatever show she's on.
As far as Eddie and Iris go- break them up. Seriously. Eddie should keep this secret to protect her and she should just trust him. The fast that she doesn't says a lot about her character so they should break up. I really want to give the writers leeway with Iris just to see where they go with her character as they seem to be going nowhere fast. Shrug.
The weakest of all the eps but still pretty enjoyable. I'm not a huge fan of Ray but he was introduced for a reason and I know he's only temporary so I can live with his character.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I read somewhere that Cisco remembering had to do with him becoming Vibe at some point - that his ability is that he can crossover timelines or whatnot so that may explain it.

    ReplyDelete
  151. It's not that bad... I think the promo just went one way while the episode went another. But we all know CW likes to fake us out with their promos. Just sit back and enjoy.

    ReplyDelete
  152. I totally agree. The only issue I've had so far with this show is why Barry and Joe told Eddie... I feel that's going to bite them in the ass very soon....personally, that was a mistake. But we shall see.
You realize pretty much everyone in two cities knows who The Flash is and only Iris (an actual almost reporter) does not...this doesn't say much for her reporting abilities...lol..even Lois figured it out on Lois and Clark..c'mon people.
I would be so stoked if she figured it out and was keeping it secret. But that would be so out of left field so...doubt it.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Typical Felicity...lol

    ReplyDelete
  154. Parent thing or not I don't agree with keeping Iris in the dark about this. As if she not investigating Flash right now. How she will be more in danger unless Barry dress up as Flash take pictures with her and post them online is beyond me. Then to tell a one year old boyfriend with whom Iris is sharing her home and life to not tell her this big secret because he is not her husband is so high handed and patronizing. I repeat Joe is an idiot regarding this.

    ReplyDelete
  155. It wasn't "running her life" it was looking out for her well being. Most Fathers give a crap about their daughter's lives. And the decisions their daughters make. Joe does not want Iris involved more than she already is. He doesn't want her life in harm's way. (For a reporter her life is in enough danger as is.) The man raised her, brought her up, loves her unconditionally. And until she figures it out on her own, yes he will look after her. Eddie is her boyfriend, a man she's ONLY been with for a year, a man that could easily leave her at any time. They're not engaged, he has not proposed. (And he'd probably want Joe's blessing anyway before he did) It wasn't about Eddie running Iris's life. It was about when does Eddie's word become as important as Joe's. When does "Eddie get to be heard." 25 Years of fathering does not go under 1 year of being in relationship. It just doesn't. I think Joe was in the right. And technically, legally, if Eddie were her husband, he'd at least have some type of power. And to everyone else, they'd be on legal/equal footing. But Joe is still her legal gaurdian. Eddie wouldn't be signing papers, if she ended up in the morgue, that's Joe's job. And until Eddie, "puts a ring on it" It'll continue to be Joe's job. Barry isn't telling Iris, Joe isn't telling Iris, and Eddie wants to tell her because what? Because he doesn't want to lie to her and can't put on Poker face to save his life? (Which btw I find so lame he's a cop for christ sake) Yeah that's rational. Eddie's not thinking things through at all. At least if/when Barry tells her, he actually has the means to keep her safe.

    ReplyDelete
  156. What did they have to re-write in this episode because it was supposed to come before 3x17 of Arrow?

    ReplyDelete
  157. lol not going to come at you for that, the episode sucked, Ray saved it

    ReplyDelete
  158. Eh. I'm not worried. Actually I feel it would be a stupid step right now on Eddie's part anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  159. what makes you say they've rewriten it?

    ReplyDelete
  160. I agree with you on that. I just felt like you were implying it was some "Men just want to control women" thing. Maybe I misunderstood.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I get protective fathers. But that is not what irked me most. The way he treated Eddie's concerns just because he is not her husband was so rude. Eddie and Iris share a life and home. Joe's over protectiveness and Eddie's inability to lie to Iris is ruining that relationship.

How is keeping Iris in the dark protecting her? RF/Wells already knows what Iris means to Barry and Joe. By keeping her in the dark she is walking blindly not knowing a person her whole family is friends with might kill her next time she meets him. If she is brought in on the secret she could be alert. All the men in her life are being over bearing jack asses.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Glad someone else enjoyed the episode too. About Ray - I do not dislike him now but I find it sort of weird that the writers took him from ruthless tycoon who tricked Felicity into helping swipe Oliver's family 's company from him to goofy, sweet lovable do only good Ray - that was a wide swing of personality. I did not like what he did to Oliver and Felicity when he was first introduced but the current personality that seems to be annoying others now just does not bother me- I thought he and Cisco were great together - it is these lovable nerd types that make the series percolate.

    ReplyDelete
  163. My issue was Joe saying Eddie has a say in Iris's life and what he can say to her only if he is her husband. That was so rude.

    ReplyDelete
  164. They did not. But I think they will now.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I think tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Didn't even try. lol I just fast forwarded until it looked Flash case related or the couple scenes with just Barry and Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Joe was not being rude. He was putting his foot down as a father figure. Not as a partner/friend/Bro. His family comes first. If you ask me, Eddie was the one being rude, "we haven't had sex in two weeks." Was that supposed to be funny? Because it wasn't. That was awkward and disrespectful (possibly unintentional but i wouldn't even say that at this point) And Eddie thinking he has say so over Joe's daughter, (first and foremost) just b/c he sleeps with her is naive. Bringing her into this, Eddie's reasonings are just wrong period. Again, they have a relationship, it's rocky, but that is in NO way an excuse for involving Iris just because Eddie "can't handle it". They do not "share a life" until he is married to her, bottom line. They have a relationship that's only been a year, and she JUST moved in. And by the looks of it she's moving back out.

This has nothing to do with Wells. I'm talking other criminals, other threats. (They've already established Wells has been crazy creepy patient. He's not going to mess that up. The man has a plan. Iris isn't in the know, so she holds no threat to Wells. At this time) Iris only writes for the Flash, they're not sitting down taking pictures, having tea. If enemies know Iris knows too much, they will come after her through Barry, they will always come after her, it's life altering information, and THAT is what Joe does not want. (It's always done that way) That's what Barry doesn't want. Also, with Eddie, it's not his secret to tell. When Barry is ready to reveal himself, he will do it. Until then Iris stays in the dark. For good reason. I'm sorry you have such an issue with it, and don't understand it, but it is just that. For now i'd rather her be her own person, doing her own reporter work, and building up her character w/o her being pushed into Barry's secret. It's not necessary right now. Maybe season finale or season 2.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Comments that I have read...

    ReplyDelete
  169. A big agree to disagree. Imo keeping Iris in the dark is absolutely ridiculous now. And I found Joe and his lack of respect for Eddie's role in Iris's life really rude.

    ReplyDelete
  170. I would have agreed had they not told Eddie on their own free will. They are digging themselves in to a hole. Joe learned Barry's identity by accident. But they revealed Barry's identity to Eddie and put him in a spot. So the guy Iris lives with, sleeps with can know but not her. Remember Barry always wanted Iris to know the secret. It is Joe who always made him not reveal the secret.

    ReplyDelete
  171. I thought so too but they were together in arrow. :(

    ReplyDelete
  172. Ohhhh cool I need it to be over soon. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  173. You're not alone.

    ReplyDelete
  174. A big agree to disagree....sounds good. I agree. Haha.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Oh c'mon! Where's your sportsmanship? Take one fore the team.

    ReplyDelete
  176. well, what I remember for sure is that Felicity basically said she didn't love Ray, but Oliver (to her mom), so Raylicity can be considered done, even if they didn't technically break up yet. Especially with that promo scene where Oliver and Felicity get it one.
Also, just to remind you, this episode of Flash takes place before Ray gets injured in Arrow. They're like two episodes off sync.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Oh yeah, he did not come off well in that conversation. The writers really need to tell Iris already. Her not knowing is impacting every character negatively.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Yeah the off sync thing confused me. Well at least I have felicity and oliver hooking up to look forward to.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Shannon, you wouldn't know it was me if I didn't throw something in once in a while.:))) Hope you got some sleep and are ready for tonight's extravaganza

    ReplyDelete
  180. This is true. hahaha. I love it. Ohh i'm ready baby! Lock and load! I slept, i just finished cooking dinner (but i'm not going to eat yet) and i'm ready for action. I desperately need this episode after last night's terrible episode. I could use some, "doom and gloom." Bring it!

    ReplyDelete
  181. Thanks. :-) I thought i was only one who hated that exchange between Joe and Eddie.

    ReplyDelete
  182. A train wreck
Even characters I usually love were terrible in this episode.
I don't hate Raylicity, but they were awkward & poorly timed "light" moments didn't work in this.
Joe & Eddie & Barry teaming up to catch bad guys at the beginning seemed cheaply put together and a little too cheesy.
The double date 5th wheel thing was terrible from top to bottom. Just abysmal.
Bug Eyed Bandit didn't interest me. I never felt a "hate" for her, or got any real sense of WHY she felt so slighted by Tina McGee.
Only characters that didn't really annoy me much this ep were Caitlyn & Cisco. The only really GOOD part to the ep was the end when Cisco admits his "dreams" and suggests Barry is right. Pretty much nothing else in this ep was good, or even "ok".
I gave it a final grade of "poor".
Far & away the worst episode of The Flash yet.

    ReplyDelete
  183. You are only upset at Ray because he purchased Queen Industries from Oliver, whom has no business skills to run his company. Multiple times in the comics he goes broke and needs loans from Bruce Wayne and eventually gets purchased by him. You are also upset because he has better chemistry with Felicity and the writers are starting to realize that.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Seriously? There is more to this show than that...

    ReplyDelete
  185. Horrible way to watch a show. This fanbase is what is destroying the writing in Arrow currently.

    ReplyDelete
  186. There ya go all rested and ready to "rock and roll".... I knew you were tired when you didn't take a bit out of my hiney for that last para. lolololol
Tonight's going to be a great Arrow.... Finally I can quit bashing Ray's rocket...... How'd ya like Ray's "can't get it up line".?... Boy Felicity was quick to jump on that...:)) The line that is ....hahahah I'll post something on the post mortem for Arrow.... maybe I won't be so grumpy....

    ReplyDelete
  187. So I guess your say'n you don't like Ray, did I get that right? lololol Your funny girl
