  1. I voted for the Kensi- Ginny scene. I liked the idea. Too bad that we never got to see Ginny willingly helping Kensi & teh team /due to having been "mentally abused" and having such low self esteem, and such, she was incapable of knowing anything that helped, and telling something useful. But I loved the fact that the little bit of information about her beautiful drawings, and the papr used for them helped the team figure out the logistic. PS. Can NCIS hire her as a "sketch artist"?

I really liked the Callen/"Sean Harmon" (I am sorry, I keep forgetting his characters name....Charlie) scenes. Both the "do the right thing when the time comes" & " do the right thing - this is the time" scenes.

The biker "Kensi" comes to see her bad-boy boyfriend "Callen" scene and show for the fellow prisoners-on-the-run was a surprising one and well done.

I also liked the Kensi/Deeks firing range scene, with them watching am. (and yet another mention of kids, along with next weeks mention from the promo... this is no coincidence...they are taking this densi and kids theme somewhere. Something is being planned - a story about their own childhood, or talk about having kids, or having kids... idk)

Also the "prison break" aka "planned crash and escape" was one nice little scene. I guess i was distracted, but until I saw Ganger, and Sam, i did not think this was part of the operation, and they were involved. (I am losing my game...then again I had slept exactly 6 hours in the past 3 days before I watched this ep, so my mind was not working properly just yet)

    I would also count those.

PS. Unless the writers have a secret plan with the Callen/Hetty meeting story, the whole thing was a mistake. Do tv show writers really have that short deadlines, and no time for checking facts that the new flashback to Callens youth contradicts previous facts that they have told. Was G telling lies before? Was he lying now to Sam? Was this just a bad continuity mistake?

Anyway...most tv shows make such mistakes whenever they do "childhood/flashback" episodes/scenes. Its like no one ever "watches" their own show. I mean..things like when, and how Callen/Hetty met, and what his life was before, and what his past with Hetty has been, should be written down somewhere on a list of "facts about this character" manual. And before doing these kind of stories, it should be mandatory to go over those past facts. Right now the whole scene was a "WTF" moment for me.

They could have easily sold the "Callen sees himself in Charlie" thing work even without this ridiculously "not compatible with prior life story of G" thing. I did not feel really the "sees himself in the kid" thing because of how badly the life story of Callen was changed while telling this thing. It felt really bad, and tv shows should really not do these kind of flashbacks, or any stories about their characters past, because in most cases they seem to be bad continuity errors. Like this one. IT felt like bad, not researched writing to me, and it took away the "parallels between G & Charlies stories" thing, and that he wanted to be that someone the kid could have to steer him to the right path, like Hetty was to him. I know that was supposed to be the message. but the things they included in Calles story to Sam makes it impossible for me. How old was G really when he met Hetty? Did she become his parent or not? What else... I am just too tired to re-watch old episodes to find exact quotes and facts, but I might just do that...after i have slept for like a week to make up for all the lack of sleep recently)

Other than that weird flashback scene, the episode was really good. Liked the case, and the twist. Liked the teamwork. Like the humour...

  2. The ending scene with Hetty and Callen but my favorite scene was Densi partner scene it shows exactly where they are in their relationship both professional and personal.

  3. Can you please elaborate more on the Densi partner scene? I'm curious what exactly you mean :)

  4. Personally for me all the above scenes had equal impact on me. Really liked to see Hetty in younger version, scene between Kensi and Callen, when she comes to him and that kiss, really felt natural to me.

  5. more natural than that deeks/kensi holiday episode kiss, for sure.

  6. Great episode all round but voted for last scene with Callen and Hetty - mostly because I couldn't help laughing when younger Callen commented on how short Hetty was.

  7. Agree about the Hetty/Callen scene everything about that moment was wrong! They undid 6 years of background history in a 5 min. flashback that did nothing to further the story. Can hope they can make it an effect of the concussion and rewrite it to fit the original concepts.

  8. I voted for the scene where Callen tells Sam how Hetty saved him. It was a vulnerable side of Callen that we don't get to see very often. Plus I thought COD did an awesome job with the scene.

I also loved that ending scene! By the Densi partner scene, I assume you mean the scene at the shooting range where they are worried about Sam? It did show a nice dynamic between them!

That kiss really did happen very naturally. Lots of great scenes this week!

I liked the Kensi-Ginny scenes, too. She was a good character, and you could tell Kensi really had a heart for her. She'd be a good sketch artist for NCIS! Nice call. Callen & Charlie were so good together. I loved that whole storyline. And Biker Kensi was awesome! She and her bad-boy Callen were fun to watch! I also didn't see the planned prison break coming until we saw Granger and Sam. That reveal was a great moment.

That kids comment by Deeks was interesting. We'll have to see if more is coming on that. He does seem to talk about kids a lot, doesn't he? Interested to see if they're going somewhere more with this. But the scene did show a wonderful professional and personal dynamic between them. They trust each other and work well together.

In my review, Rebecca also mentioned some of your continuity concerns. Because I have a terrible memory (I only seem to remember clearly things that happened in the last year), I didn't notice them. I understand your frustration if they contradicted things they've said in the past. I hate it when shows do that! They definitely should write down their character and history facts. But I didn't realize his life story had been changed. This was supposed to be Callen's first meeting with Hetty. But couldn't that work with the previous storylines? I'm not sure. It makes me want to go back and watch old episodes, too.

You are clearly not the only one who thought this! I really wish I could see all the previous mentions & facts laid out in front of me. But I definitely understand the frustration if they contradicted things they said before.
