    The funeral is nothing without Adison, Sam and Naomi appearing. I mean they wouldn't miss it for anything.
    Xtina not having a scene would be so stupid. Time has passed but she is her person.

    I really think they should skip the funeral altogether if they can't bring Addison and Christina back. I think any other option would invalidate things, it just wouldn't be realistic

    I'd like to think all of the past favs would be back for this but I don't think Shonda cares enough to write them in for it.
    Short of death and dismemberment, there is no reasonable excuse in the world that would have either Addison or Christina missing this. Not to mention, his own mother.

    It could come down to getting them to sign on. It's not like everyone is sitting at home waiting for Shonda to call.. Cristina hasn't even been gone for a season, they may well all have other obligations that prevented them from showing up. Shonda would never pass up a reason to get Sandra Oh on the show, we know she's always believed the true love story is her friendship with Meredith. I wonder how they'll explain those people now showing up though.

    Im super excited about this episode! Im also not delusional to think all of these people are going to come back to the show for the funeral. its a thing called MONEY- the show doesn't have that much money to bring on all those people just for one episode. I need people to use logic, its a tv show which means its a business. Your desires and wants are irrelevant to how the show is run.

    You know I can live with Cristina and Addison not showing up. I'd love to be there and I think realistically they would be there but they can excuse both their absences:
    Cristina couldn't find a flight in time.
    Addison had an emergency at work/a patient went into early labor.


    His mother and his sisters are people who absolutely need to be there though...

    I never said she got Alzheimer's but I do see her giving up
    medicine and perhaps Derek will one day intern in the Hospital she now has half interest in and has no reason to work for any more as only Karev still works there and he was not part of the family Meredith built with Christina, Izzy, George, and Derek. Besides she already sold Alex Ellis's house and Christina already gave Alex her proxy; He will be fine. Time as the song says to have fun and lave her hospital family behind, most likely go to Boston like Ellis and visit Derek's mom.
