  2. Way to avoid spoilers.

    ReplyDelete
  3. this is even more vague than the previous press release

    ReplyDelete
  4. WHOA MAJOR SPOILER ALERT! Why did I read this? Why oh why!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. needs to be more vague-er then this imo

  6. I love how no one but Oliver and Ra's are mentioned.

I do hope that Ra's is done for good after that episode, Matt Nable has absolutely failed to sell the character to me. A rather flat performance for a character that was given little actual direction.

First intended to be a villain, then a semi-ally, then a villain again. Poor execution of a character that deserves more than what he was given. I really hope that season 4 does a better job with its villain.

  7. the sarcasm is strong in this one

    ReplyDelete
  8. btw keep repeating Al Sah-him girls. lol

    ReplyDelete
  9. My annoyance is even stronger. "Program information TBA" was better than this!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Again, and I asked this when it came to the "This Is Your Sword" press release, why exactly did The CW wait to release these? They tell us nothing, really.

    ReplyDelete
  11. They didn't want us to know that Oliver joined the league because you know it's not like we saw him in the league costume in the Flash promos or anything.

Biggest disappointment this season - Ra's or lack thereof a real Ra's and under using Malcolm.

So what is Ra's big plan and is it linked to the introduction of HIVE for next season. Let's home they bring the big baddie to make up for what Ra's didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Agreed on both points but I'd rather blame it on mis-using Malcolm. He wasn't shown much early on this season and ever since midseason he was fun but not utilized the way he should have been

    ReplyDelete
  15. Disagree. But then again all your posts about the show are complaints or trolling. Not sure why you even watch it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Real Ra's? Don't tell me you consider Nolan's Ra's a real Ra's.

    ReplyDelete
  17. So basically you only read 10% of the stuff I post? Good job at having selective memory my friend

    ReplyDelete
  18. Right?!?!

It's such a stupid move from The CW.

    ReplyDelete
  19. If anything spoiling something is giving the show more exposure and social media buzz...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not the first one and won't be the last.

    ReplyDelete
  21. My Name is Oliver Queen and I have failed the city! Leader of the League has ruined my life and turned the city against me, so i must become someone else to get it back......LOA Symbol opens S4 lol

    ReplyDelete
  22. Flash finale leaked pic kinda ruined the shocking twist on Oliver decision so it wasn't a shocker at all lol.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Agreed, which the last two press releases do not spoil anything.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I remember the whole "#SaltAndBurn" trend going on when they delayed Supernatural's mid-season premiere a few years back.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I guess theCW doesen't do risky moves unless someone does them FOR them ;P

    ReplyDelete
  26. So to sum up: Ra's is evil. Oliver is confused because he's battling an identity theme.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah, it's weird to hold a synopsis back only to release a highly vague one a few days later.

    ReplyDelete
  28. But Ra'liver???

    ReplyDelete
  29. The whole "is he a villain, is he not a villain" thing really is tired with Ra's at this point

    ReplyDelete
  30. Same goes for Malcolm. They have to stop humanizing the villains.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah, I liked Merlyn a LOT more as a villain. Not saying I don't love the character now but I'd rather have him fight Team Arrow than....buddying up with them

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well, not releasing them on time kinda made them stand out. It created more anticipation for some, i guess.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well, this press release just 100% confirms we're getting a happy ending. Good. The brooding aspect of the show it's getting kinda old by now.

No I mean the character of Ra's is someone that we should have feared. I never felt that sense of fear from him. I think that was the biggest problems this season that we didn't have that big bad like Slade was for S2.

    ReplyDelete
  35. No the comics is the real Ra's and this shallow attempt was nothing compared to that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. oh boy! more inner conflict, I can't get enough of that.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Eh I like him performance wise. Writing wise, I like him, but yeah he needs to be a lot more about genocide.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Kinda seems a bit...disappointing in a way. Title of the episode kinda gives the end "decision" away, doesn't if?...

I would kind of like to see what al-sahim(sp?) would be like if he became the next ra's. Like literally took the role. They went through enough to get him to the point of "agreeing" to it, then more work with the "transformation" itself... They should actually, IMO, try it out for a bit. I know it can't be a long-term thing or forever. But they laid a lot of ground work to get to that point, so why do all that if you're not going to go there... That's kind of like doing all this work, getting all packed and then the day of, you decide to not go on that big vacation... But I really can't see them have him going ahead with it. I can't imagine Oliver Queen becoming Ra's... It would definately give some interesting shades/colours to the character... IMO, characters with more depth are always the best ones...

    ReplyDelete
  39. I can't believe we're still on this LOA crap at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  40. What kind of anticipation, though? I'm sure everyone was vastly disappointed when the descriptions spoiled absolutely nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It was a few years back....Supernatural was coming back and like a week before it happened, The CW ended up delaying the return for another week or two and then people started to use the hashtag '#SaltAndBurn' like everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Like AsiaTV, haha.

    ReplyDelete
  43. maybe that's what the plane-set for the finale is for? dropping a nuke maybe? Or to tie the story up using the serum from the flashbacks as a bio weapon

    ReplyDelete
  44. But would't the nuke hurt the planet? I know there's no indication of Ra's being a eco terrorist in this but I feel like plagues and smallpox are more his style. Oh that'd be sick, plus that seems like Ra's would do that.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wasn't kind of obvious though?

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm intrigued. Did Ra's had a major plan all along? And I hope we will find it out before the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh no a pic of flash finale was leaked where it shows oliver in LOA outfit standing with Ronnie and Barry together taking on RF.

    ReplyDelete
  48. No, that is a pic from 1x22, the ep before the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I forgot Flash was picked up for 23 episodes. Well episode 22 did ruin the shocking decision for Oliver lol. Now i will laugh so hard if Ollie brings his league with him lol.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yeah, I suppose it kind of was obvious where they were really going to go for awhile in a way... But why go this far in the first place though? Why tease that Oliver was going to become the next Ra's, saying he really has no choice, etc?...

And why can't we "try it out" for a bit? Actually go there for a bit like they did with the Sam/lucifer thing in s5 of supernatural? (On this show, there's this whole storyline that is hard to boil down for those who aren't watching it, but on the show there are demons and angels. Both need to pocess someone in order to really be/do things. Demons just take someone over, willing or not, Angels have to get permission to possess

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well we'll get it until the end of 23. Apparently the effects will carry over into four and might hurt him and Diggle. Problem is the show's called Arrow and is about his rise to Green Arrow, that while interesting if taken too far could prove really really bad if not handed extremely carefully and piss a lot of people who don't want Oliver to go bad for a while off. He won't, it's why he'll become Green Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah, I know that it can't happen for long-term or anything. It would kind of defeat the purpose and all that. And yes, it definately needs to be done carefully. Green Arrow is a hero. Heros walk a fine line between what kinds of things they can or can't do, which sets them apart from the villain. As a writer they will need to be extra careful that they don't take their big hero too far, so he is irredeemable in the eyes of those who so want to see him redeemed.

And ultimately, I do eventually... I want to see the whole (possibly messy) journey of this character. Since it's a TV show, especially, it should be a long, hard journey. But I'd kind of also like to see how far, and what they can do, before they pull Oliver from there and onto the other path...

    ReplyDelete
  53. I like his performance as Ra's and I like this iteration of the calm, wise Ra's. IMO where they failed is in selling LoA as this big bad villain club. Last season I was more scared of the League with only Nyssa than this year. They should have shown one episode dedicated to League where we see how they operate, how they take up missions and the extremes they are willing to go to get to their goals. Instead they painted the league as something Oliver can mold into his own heroic mission.

    ReplyDelete
  54. So many spoilers. Why CW? So Oliver has to make a decision. That's a surprise!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Not just that, the whole last scene with Thea was disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I actually liked that scene, showed that he actually cared. "You took care of me, now let me take care of you". It's not disgusting but rather heartwarming...still I'd rather have him slaughter his way through SC

    ReplyDelete
  57. HA! He cared? I'm sorry, but you obviously didn't really look closely enough. The only thing Malcolm cares about and was SO super happy about with that last scene, is that HE is the only one that got everything that he wanted, like seriously everything. He knew it was practically impossible to get off his debt to the League, but all he had to do was move the guy he somehow creepily sees as his son and the daughter he turned into a killer into the path of death, death, and even more death, so that he could get free from it. Sure, he might have almost showed a couple of tears, but there is NO way in hell that Malcolm actually cares about her.

This show has said it, but it still doesn't do enough with it, because this ENTIRE SEASON is all Malcolm's fault, and then his: 'I'm finally free! Your brother sacrificed himself for you to become some dark spawn, but I'M free! That's all that matters!' That was what I got from his "caring" and sure he ended it with wanting to take care of her, buty I'm convinced even that is a ploy to just try and dig his way into her head again, especially now Oliver is "gone" it's just exactly what he wanted all this time, and I think he even secretly hopes that the Pit made her a soullless killer like him or something.

I just really wish they would actually make Malcolm full on villain again, or just kill him finally, this entire season of them showing what a bastard he is and then one episode after making it look like he's such an amazing good guy with an actual heart... Yeah, sure, it's still the most unbelievable thing of this entire season, and they just keep on going, every freaking time. Of course they can make Oliver a illain, but finally stopping to make Malcolm seem like a good guy, while we all know that he just isn't? Yeah, totally annoying as hell.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Heart-stopping? More like, eh.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Any guess what ra's plan is? I predivt it has simething to do with alpha and omega virua in the fb targeyt hk so it likely the same but starling this time and oliver is scapegoat or something

    ReplyDelete
  60. not a bad idea. the flashbacks should have some kind of relevance for the present day story. At the beginning of the season I though they were building Amanda Waller up as the main villain, but that obviously wasn't the case. If Batman Begins is any indication, eradicating a whole city is exactly Ra's thing.

    ReplyDelete
  61. How so? Or are you being sarcastic?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Wait... Did you just actually say under using Malcolm? The guy that is basically single-handedly responsible for the story-arc of this ENTIRE season? And him still being the ONLY ONE that got exactly what he wanted? And how now when he's free, the show is going to attempt yet again to force on us how he's not that bad a guy, even though when it was about Oliver, the only thing he cared about again was his own damn self, and trying to get into Thea's life, again, who would never have freaking needed the Pit, if Malcolm would have just stayed gone. This entire season has been one forceful mess of them trying to "redeem" Malcolm or whatever they want to call it, and then two seconds later showing what a selfish bastard he is, so in my opinion, this entire season they have over used him, since.EVERY single thing that has gone wrong, and every person that has died, or gone into hiding, Malcolm is responsible for, and still they make him seem like some absolutely great guy that somehow is supposed to come off as actually caring about Thea?

Seriously, I really don't get how you can complain about "The real Ra's" especially considering how DC and WB are being little bitches more and more, so I don't get why it surprises you they made him abit of their Ra's, instead of the damn comics, the same comics that are all over the damn place with twists and turns and deaths and shit.

But Malcolm is the one that's under used? Seriously? I mean, there has only been half a season basically, where Malcolm was actually, you know, the "real Malcolm" if you ask me, you know, the bastard that is actually supposed to be the Green Arrow's nemesis, not his step-daddy or something >.< I swear, I'm SO much more annoyed by every thing with Malcolm, and how like I said they've been over using him SO much in the worst possible ways, than with Ra's. Sure I agree that he's not exactly what I had thought and hoped either, but that's still a thousand times more believable and everything, than the entire story around Malcolm at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sigh... Yeah, because every freaking person and country is able to read the comics, those comics that are all over the place with twists and turns and who is evil, and who is good, and then they're evil again, oh no, they're dead, oh wait, they're not... Yeah, those amazing comics >.<

And like I said a few comments back, I really, REALLY don't get how you can have such a massive problem with their personal attempt at Ra's and trying to be original, compared to their attempt of forcefully time and time and time again showing what a fake character Malcolm is and how he is NOTHING like how he should be either.

But yeah sure, let's all complain about Ra's, and let's still act as if Malcolm is such an amazing and believable character, especially when they're probably weirdly enough are gonna make Thea forgive him again and all that bullshit. But yeah, Ra's is the weak attempt *sarcasm* lol.

    ReplyDelete
  64. They're showing Malcolm as a GOOD GUY, every freaking time, even him being uber happy and proud of HIM being free while Oliver is the new Ra's, we should just accept and think it's such a good father aspect.

I can't believe you guys think he's not been in it enough, since he's been the most controlling character and also in getting what he wants, of EVERYONE. He put everyone in this position, he made Thea a killer, got her killed, pushed Oliver into the position he is in now, and everything else that happened because of it. And still Malcolm is a good guy...

Malcolm has never been utilized the way he should be, not since season 1 ended and they came up with this dumb version of him that they keep forcing up on us as some goody-goody guy, that makes stupid decisions, but is still the only one like I said this season that got EXACTLY what he wanted.
