  1. Yes! I've been hoping for Cobie to return for a while now and didn't think it was going to happen this season. Probably one of the post-Ultron episodes.

  2. Delighted by this, I know it won't happen but she should sneak in some of her AOU cast mates ;)

  3. I have been waiting for a confirmation after the writers said last summer that they plan on bringing her back in season 2.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Her pregnancy probably postponed an appearance for a while (she had the baby a few months ago).

  5. YAY! I would like her to be a regular at some point honestly. Delighted with these news!

  6. She is likable :) this is good news!

  7. Fantastic news!!! Wonder how she's involved between Agents of SHIELD and The Avengers 2.

    ReplyDelete
  8. She's probably been working with Coulson in this "top secret" mission of his...

  9. Nice!!!
My guess it will be the 2 hour finale...

Here's hoping she's not the only one popping up!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Most likely. I think all of us want to know what Coulson's secret is :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Thinking we are headed for a huge season finale. ( And hoping it is only the season finale)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Didn't know that.

  13. So happy she's coming back, Cobie was great last season, I thought we wouldnt get to see her this season...but there she is, cool.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yay!

Now can she bring some guests?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I don't think Coulson's secret is as bad as "real" SHIELD is making it out to be. They are just being super paranoid, seeing the boogie-man in every bush.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I know what you mean, I want all the agents of SHIELD from the movies to become regulars.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes!!! I liked her when she was last on plus it links the tv show and movies together so this is great news! :D

    ReplyDelete
  18. She looks good, her and Scarlett.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm sure it's not.

Frankly, "Real" SHIELD can go suck it!

From the second that they decided to hunt down Coulson instead of straight up asking him about anything they can't really claim he kept any secrets.
Their attitude and behaviour is so contradictory, I can't take anything they say seriously.

  20. Yup! She had a boy in January (still don't know his name, though).

    ReplyDelete
  21. After that awkward pause on Kimmel after Clark asked if they'd appear on the show, I'm hoping they all make a cameo.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Don't worry. The show's safe for a number of reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  23. YES! I've been waiting all season to hear this! The showrunners said last summer that they had plans to bring Cobie back this season but we never heard about it again, so I wondered if those plans had changed. Glad it's happening. Oh man, the final crescendo of this season before and after Age of Ultron is going to be absolutely INSANE.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't know if all of them will.... but Jeremy did admit of "suiting up" not too long ago... So I'm at least hoping at least he, Scarlett and Sam make an appearance...

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm sure Marvel would foot the bill for their appearances if it happens, tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  26. All of them? No way... Prohibitively expensive... Trust me... The only way it may have happened is if they were contractually obligated to do so...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Awesome news! She should appear on whatevr episode tie in with AOU. I was hoping one of the avenger appeared as well but after their reaction on Kimmel when Clark asked i'm not very confident.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks for the comforting thought.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yes!!!! I love Maria Hill <3

    ReplyDelete
  30. Awesome! Maria Hill is just the best and I still hold out hope that she will become a series regular one of these days. I'm speculating she will help Coulson on that Theta Protocol project :)

glad she is comming back i like it when she is on the show

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think the same, can she bring Black Widow along with her? That would be awesome all the most powerful women in one television show.

    ReplyDelete
  33. OMG I applause you seriously you're so right. That so called SHIELD build in the total transparency (btw I don't believe anything about it) can go straight to hell gosh no one is allowed to touch to my beloved Coulson.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I really enjoyed that part.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'd say a few (speculative) reasons:

    1. Marvel show (owned by Disney)
    2. Airs on ABC (owned by Disney)
    3. Tied into a multi-billion dollar cinematic universe (owned by Disney)

Honestly, I think the ratings could drop below 1.0, and have less than a million viewers, it would still remain on the air. As long as the actors, and crew members are happy to continue doing the show.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Agreed with all those reasons. Plus, the spin-off that's in development. You don't create a spin-off for a show that's in danger of getting cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I've only seen gifsets on Tumblr (really need to watch the full thing) but the fact that they were all drunk off their asses on Kimmel/the red carpet (God, Evans) was the best part.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Agreed. Only seen the first episode of Daredevil thus far (gonna binge watch this weekend), but I like what I've seen so far. Would love to see Agent Carter made into a full-fledged series, and of course 3 (or 4) additional Netflix shows coming...

Ratings are important, but given the absolutely ----load of cash they are making on this franchise, I doubt Disney really cares too much if it has a 1.5 or 1.6 rating.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think I might explode with joy if Natasha showed up!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Marathoned Daredevil this weekend and absolutely loved it so I'm even more excited for the other Netflix shows now.

And yes, agreed! The show does really well when DVR ratings are factored in and I know that means nothing but I'm sure Marvel/Disney's still happy about it.

  41. Me too, please Marvel hear us and let Scarlett do it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Marvel may be willing to pay this prohibitively expensive cost if it's a necessary to set up the backstory of Age of Ultron. Per the interview below the movie will hint at vague adventures they've done off screen to clean up their messes involving HYDRA and the fall of SHIELD, but per AoS only Doctor List is left to deal with before Strucker so sort of cutting all the show's ties to the MCU they pretty much will have to appear in some capacity in the show to fill that blank.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm not saying they won't tie in the movies with the show, that's a given. And I'm not even saying they won't be willing to cough up a few more dollars to get one maybe two of the main Avengers on the small screen. I'm saying getting all of them, is quite unlikely to happen.

That is a not a reasonable expense. Not even for Marvel.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Also, it wouldn't even make sense to bring all six Avengers into one episode.
1 - That episode would be hugely cluttered and not a single character (I mean both the show's usual characters AND the Avengers) would get enough time to shine.
2 - Given the promotional pull that an appearance from an Avenger is likely to have, why not spread those around instead of having ONE huge extravaganza episode where all of them appear?
What I hope they can do is 2-3 appearances from one Avenger a season, and a few appearances from other important MCU characters like Fury, Hill, Bucky, the Falcon, War Machine, and in coming years - the new additions like Ant-Man, the Wasp, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, etc. (Of course, I'm getting carried away here because we don't know how long the show will last, it may end before some of these movies even came out. But you get the general gist.)

The show really needs to do something drastic in terms of getting major superheroes/comic book characters/movie characters on screen in order to break out of that ratings rut. More promotion wouldn't hurt either, especially when you see how much the CW puts into promoting Arrow and The Flash, while wisely focusing on the exact same superhero aspects that the general audience is missing in AoS.

  45. And then we can have our Coulson's Angels moment with a slo-mo shot of May, Bobbi and Natasha walking into a room and looking all badass before they start to beat the crap out of like 20 bad guys.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh lord, just the thought of that makes me so happy.

    ReplyDelete
  47. If that happened, I think I would have to pause the episode and just sit there for a few minutes to try to start breathing again/process all the awesome before I could continue.

    ReplyDelete
  48. They are already promoting the movie and asking us to be sure we watch AOS prior to Avengers movie and then of course we will see promotions about the necessity to watch AOS after Avenger it will say something like this, "WELL now be sure to watch Avengers before the two hour season finale because you will want to see AOS deal with the ULTRON aftermath.. right now the promo is "MAKE sure you watch AOS before the Avengers MOVIE "WINK WINK" LOL the story lines are definitely tied in now..... YES Just like Dare Devil.. Matt Murdock was raised at St. Agnes.. I wonder if he met Skye.... And you can see in the boxing gym at Hell's Kitchen signs regarding A "Barton" match with some one, and in Ben Urich's office you can see news clippings in frames with one story about Hulk smashing Hells Kitchen and then another regarding New York's battle of avengers vs. Chitari .. Pretty cool.

  49. I am hoping Cap makes an appearance and delivers a set of signed Captain AMerican trading collectors cards to Coulson himself. I imagine it might be him, Fury, Maria Hill???? Thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  50. I mean if all of them were to appear it would be the very very last 2 minutes of the show, just like when Fury appears. Yes, someone is gonna show up and I think it will be Fury and Maria Hill and Cap and it will be at the very end in private room and when Cap walks out, Everyone's mouth is gonna drop.. :)

  51. Coulson is a CARTOON character on Disney Marvel Ultimate Spider Man. ANd it is Gregg Clark's voice. Does anyone watch those by way? Very insightful...Disney's Marvel Avengers Assemble has so much information to the history and to WHERE Disney sees this going as far as storylines. SO many villains are introduced into in this series and there is so much back round information as to the story lines for the Avenger/Marvel Movies. I believe infinity stone wars just ended. There is the explanation of Ultron and Vision and the Krees, etc. .. My son watches those show and I WATCH them with him. LOL They are all based on comic books but DISNEY is planning to sell lots of merchandise and I would not be surprise if A MARVEL Land does not open up at Disneyland right next to Cars Land. LOL

  52. when i saw it last night i got so EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. See my issue is that objectively they have some decent points and objections. And Coulson has made mistakes.
But since they don't do as they preach they have no legs to stand on...

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm thinking, it will be Hill, Clint, maybe Natasha, possibly Fury.

    ReplyDelete
  55. "What I hope they can do is 2-3 appearances from one Avenger a season,
and a few appearances from other important MCU characters like
    "

Even this plan sounds too expensive really...

I can see Jeremy being willing to signing on a bit more long term (some comments he made about his career on Ellen the other day... plus him suiting up... plus him getting quite a bit of focus on AoU... plus him being quiet when Clark showed up on Kimmel) but most of them wouldn't, and if they were willing to, it would not be at all cheap... and I don't think the show would be able to afford it. Even if the plan was for such a stint to help with the ratings.

But I do agree the show might want to work on incorporating the "superhero" aspect a bit more for that ratings bump...

    ReplyDelete
  56. AMEN I like your comments :) gosh this "Real" SHIELD have done nothing but being a pain in the ass seriously (for Withall and Hydra they were just sitting there and watch and they claim that they are SHIELD bitch please).

    ReplyDelete
  57. I thought that recently as well considering the some of the spoilers for Age of Ultron regarding Clint.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Regarding that last point, that's one reason why I think they should get Skye into her Quake suit from the comics pretty soon. I wish it could be in the season finale, but I guess that's still too early.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The tact gear she's wearing in that last batch of episode stills could very well be the early version of her Quake suit.
