  1. Ooh. Interesting. Penultimate episode (technically) - this will be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I'd bet the other Koenig has been running the base where/whatever it is, also Coulson told them to activate Theta Protocol if San Juan ended up with the teams destruction. So I'd go with yeah they know.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Think everyone did, even the Coulson team have shown issues with her powers, Other Shield seems to have substantial/massive issues with gifted so that's not surprising. The Inhumans most likely have issues with her working with an agency designed in part to control gifted. We knew that Skye wasn't going to be staying in Afterlife.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yeah, though they might not be spelling things out, maybe there will be twists in the show itself?

    ReplyDelete
  5. I would love for the theory that whatever Coulson's hiding is connected to the Secret Warriors to be true. That would be awesome. Uh oh, looks like SHIELD and the Inhumans are going to war with each other. Poor Skye having to choose between the two but hopefully she'll make the right decision in the end (Coulson and the team of course).

    ReplyDelete
  6. Gifted people? Who are Alisha and Michael?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm guessing that whatever it is is the spin off being set up. As for Skye, she just can't get a break, no matter which side she picks she's going to end up losing.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Interesting, kind of sad that it's going to end up in conflict for Skye but yeah that was always the likely outcome.

Just a question, shouldn't the first sneak peak be up by now? Thought it was Friday's and Monday's?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm pretty sure he already told them in the midseason finale. It was something along lines of if things didn't go according to plan in the alien city, he told them to activate the Theta Protocol.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The show runners are super fans of the secret warrior comics so there is a great chance is related and if not i'm sure at some point thye will go that route. The tension will rise on the 20 and the finale will be even better. I can't wait to see what side she chooses.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah and they made a face like, "Oh no, not the Theta Protocol!!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  12. I hope so. It would be really disappointing if this was a paint-by-numbers storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  13. It should but as always it looks like they are holding back. They barely gave us a promo so just release the sneak peek already!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yes, sneak peak, we already got hardly anything in the promo, we deserve that much!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. A third nipple?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah things were finally looking up for the poor girl and now she has to deal with more heartbreak :(

    ReplyDelete
  17. Of course that in the end Skye will choose Coulson although the Inhumans are much cooler and she could reconnect with her family and culture. I mean, no xmen would choose government job over Chavier academy.

    ReplyDelete
  18. True, maybe it could be connected to the Theta Protocol, say something like Coulson actually setting up gifted teams, which I'm guessing the Inhumans would have issues with...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, it's always interesting when you think about some comments from past episodes like that (for example I went back and watched Season 1 again, and stuff like Ward's reaction to Skye is completely different when you know he was doing FAR worse than she ever did.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'd forgotten about that line. So, I wonder why he trusted them with that info but not May?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I didn't realize he was Chandler.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It really does suck, bet the fallout might be one of the major issues flagged in the finale

    ReplyDelete
  23. If it is "weaponising" Gifted, I could see why he would given her history.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I would like to see Skye making the surprising decision which would be the inhumans but sounds unlikely. By the press release we know she is back as agent Skye. She can't stay away from SHIELD for long. Daisy was a SHIELD agent and i get the feeling her mom will do a sacrifice for her and end up dying that's how she will take the Daisy name she choosed for her.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Just because they're blood doesn't mean Skye should choose them. Also, the Inhumans are shady and I don't trust any of them.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ugh, the fact that we don't have the sneak peek yet is driving me up the wall.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I know, the promo was Ultron, AoS deserves it's own.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ugh, I think they were trying to hype us up for AoU but I already am so give me the promo for the show I'm watching, ABC. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I figured that it might be alright. I'm trying to guess what will be in it...

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think Skye's going to stay Skye but she will choose Quake as her superhero name.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Butterfly_fairy18 April 2015 at 00:21

Uh boy make or break time. Coulson my love this better be good!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sounds so good. I just hope Skye's mama isn't bad like I am suspecting.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, given the suggestion that May has doubts as well now he better have a really good idea on handling the fallout.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I doubt they'll go all the way to Quake yet.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Only as an alias. Sometimes he goes by Chanandler Bong.

    ReplyDelete
  36. After calling her Skye for so long would be weird to change and Daisy doesn't really suit her so i would be fine if they didn't change but by interviews fom the producers i got the feeling eventually she would change.

    ReplyDelete
  37. i knew this would happen!!!! DAMN IT, Skye your family is SHIELD not that cult!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yes, thank you to someone else thinking it's a cult. Everyone seems to be buying into it and refuse to see the Inhumans are shady but I'm not falling for it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. They are a entire race that's been living secretly since by the suggestion the end of te Kree experiments, I don't think they are a cult, just different.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Don't think anyone has disagreed that they have their plans/objectives, doesn't make them a Cult.

    ReplyDelete
  41. As I said in the Melinda episode, I hope the writers realise that Skye deserves some good pay off from her lifelong quest. If she ends up screwed again it's going to be horrible for her. I can see her Mum trying to get her away from Shield but that doesn't make her evil.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I wouldn't trust SHIELD with powered people at all either.

    ReplyDelete
  43. There is that, I mean did we ever find out who was experimenting on the shadow guy that went after Coulson's girlfriend. I would say Hydra, but he was at the Fridge and they didn't seem to have active agents there.

Given Other Shield's position on the Gifted as well, and even the fear that Coulson and Co had over one of their most trusted friends, yeah I can agree with you that Shield may not be the best place either.

    ReplyDelete
  44. technically they are....plus they're not a cult.

Also...why is there such a "family" obsession within this fandom? I agree that they're all close but calling them family makes it sound as if people expect the show to be something else than it is

    ReplyDelete
  45. The episode after Age of Ultron, this is gonna be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  46. We've had the Coulson-Cal dad-off so I hope this will provide us with May-Jiaying mum-up. That's it, that's my wish for this.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Epic, but think of the fallou if May learns about Barahain?

    ReplyDelete

its up on ABC right now

  49. Stephen S. Bowman18 April 2015 at 01:43

this could put coulson team including skye at war with the inhumans which gives it a nice twist

  50. Historical_Materialist18 April 2015 at 01:58

The most recent Avengers tv spot with War Machine has a pretty spoilery bit involving SHIELD.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Just watched the sneak peek - Fitz in a suit literally on the run is my new favorite AOS character.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Really, is there a link?

    ReplyDelete
  53. I dont know why they dont update the guy that plays Mack as regular :s
Will eh tell them why he was buiding those places?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hopefully Skye's choice is more interesting than just the inhumans or SHIElD, maybe she finds a way to choose herself over the above.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Amen even I find the mama may papa coulson stuff creepy they are professionals and have strong friendships. What's ward then like a rapey cousin eww.

    ReplyDelete
  56. They're not shady. They just have to take certain precautions to protect the secret of their existence. Seeing how groups such as Hydra and NuShield react to people with powers, their approach is not unreasonable.

For me I choose my Kind over Other Kind

    ReplyDelete
  61. It's a contract thing, so it could mean a number of things: from they are not sure what to do him in the future, they are going to kill him off someday not too far away, the actor wants to keep his options open, and so on and so forth.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yay Patton Oswalt is back! I know he is busy with loads of other things but his absence has been noticeable.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sky Should Choose her side, and do right by the Inhumans for taking her in when the world and friends doubted her and wanted only to restrain her abilities. Then she can go back to Shield if she wants to.

    ReplyDelete
  64. nice one episode 2.20

  65. My two top favorite characters is in trouble. I'm not okay with it I don't want to be in Skye position seriously her being an inhuman isn't a gift and Coulson is finally telling his big secret.

    ReplyDelete
  66. *Miss Chanandler Bong.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I get your frustration but family doesn't always follow biology. The fandom's overreaction is one thing but however you may feel about them still doesn't negate the fact that Skye herself sees SHIELD (Coulson, May, Jemma and Fitz) as her family.

    ReplyDelete
  68. They are a different culture going on for thousands of years, not a cult.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I think the mother (and Cal) is hiding something but not evil.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm fine if the inhumans call her by her given name and Shield call her by her chosen name. I have two first names and go by both daily, some call me Penelope others call me by my African name, this is so normal for the majority of the population here in South Africa.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Maybe if she got to know her kind more, I'd see her making this decision but I doubt it. I don't think she will think less of her own people, it's just a case of what she's familiar with. And based on comics we know she continues being a SHIELD agent and I don't think this will change as long as Coulson's still a part of SHIELD. And going back to SHIELD doesn't mean cutting all ties with her people.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yay, the Koenigs are back! Now I want them to tell Gonzales that he DOESN'T get a lanyard and kick him out.

The reveal of what the Theta Protocol is...? Ooh.

Skye being torn between the two groups is inevitable, now I just hope the show resists the temptation to make the Inhumans an evil group that tries to keep Skye by force. It's too simplistic and too predictable. I prefer a conflict that has layers.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Jiaying and Cal are her biological parents. They never abandoned her or anything, she was taken away from them and they moved heaven and earth to find her. How is it odd that she wants to spend time with them and make up for 25 (or 26, whatever) lost years?

And yes, I know Cal is technically a monster and a killer, but it's clear he hasn't been in his right mind ever since the horrors that happened to him and I think Skye is coming to understand that. Plus, most people are going to be more forgiving towards close family than everyone else, it's only natural.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yeah. As much as I see Coulson and May as parental figures towards Skye, this whole "Papa Coulson and Mama May need to get married and adopt Skye so they can all live happily ever after! Aww!" cheesefest has gone too far.

Skye's closeness to her friends at SHIELD doesn't mean she should pass up the chance to get to know the parents she missed out on 26 years with. And the fact is, the Inhumans CAN help Skye understand and control her powers in a way that SHIELD can't. So this insistence that she must stay away from the Inhumans or else she's somehow betraying her "SHIELD family" is tiresome.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Yeh, even you could trust Coulson, which past history of SHIELD indicates no, "REAL" SHIELD obviously won't accept gifteds under any circumstances, and it looks like a merger of the two factions is coming.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Might even be the one Gonzales is using as his base for all we know! :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. With "Civil War" coming next year I don't think the situation for Skye will change (possibly until Avengers 3). As the Inhumans will have their own movie I doubt they will be portrayed as evil, even though to their laws Skye and Raina are in serious danger.

Should the Spin-Off be "Secret Warriors" slowly but surely I can see Skye beeing part of it!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Ming herself has referred to her as Mama May so...

    https://twitter.com/MingNa/status/578054238770630658

And Chloe, Clark, and Ming have repeatedly said in multiple interviews that they consider Skye to be Coulson and May's daughter.

    ReplyDelete
  79. They said she is hiding something, and it depends on your perspective if it's bad or good after all she has been through.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Stephen S. Bowman18 April 2015 at 19:02

this is the episode after ultron 18 and 19 would be those that tie in i would think

    ReplyDelete
  81. Plus, I'm so sick of betrayals. We need to have some positive relationships between characters on this show. It's not like everything is smiles and roses for Skye as it is - apart from being hunted for who she is, her dad is crazy and a killer. At least let her mom be good, and don't kill her (which would be really horrible for Skye right after she got her back). Like you, I'd have absolutely no trouble understanding it if Jiaying simply wanted to keep Skye safe from SHIELD which she perceived as a threat, but no evil hidden agendas, please.

    ReplyDelete
  82. What I hope happens: the Inhumans come to realize that Coulson's SHIELD is not their enemy and that Skye feels like she belongs there. They give her their blessing to go back and tell her to keep them on speed-dial if she's ever in a tight spot.

What I fear will happen: the Inhumans turn out to be eeeeeevil, hold Skye by force because they want to use her for some nefarious purpose and launch an all-out war with Coulson. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  83. That's the blue sky scenario I think most of us are hoping for. Being that optimistic with AoS usually doesn't pay off for me though.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Fairly sure from looking at in AoS that it's a normal CVN, it doesn't have the split deck of the helicarriers.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Yeah, total agree with you, with having the two Shields acting against each other, and all the other issues the show would really be going over the same ground if they have Skye's family betray her (particularly after searching for her for decades). Now I can see conflict between Skye and her parents and the rest of the Inhumans over her wanting to return to the rest of the World. But that just makes sense based on their community.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Your theory in the second paragraph is alright with me. Like mutants, who Inhumans are apparently filling for in the MCU, there are obviously going to be Inhumans who don't play well with everyone else, to say the least. But I don't want the entire Inhuman race, or Afterlife, or Skye's parents, to be presented as villainous (well, Cal already IS villainous... sort of... depending on how much you think his craziness is a mitigating factor in everything he's done, but I digress). I think that's pretty easy fodder for audience hate along the lines of "they're trying to keep Skye from her REAL family! Go get them, Coulson!". I'm not a fan of that simplicity. I already feel like Olmost SHIELD has been portrayed in a more negative light than it should've been, and I don't want the same for the inhumans.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I don't think they can afford to go too negative with the Inhumans with the film on the horizon. The last thing Marvel wants is a large chunk of their movie-going audience to dislike the subjects of their film by the time it's released.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah, that's a good point. I have no idea what's planned for the film (especially as I'm unfamiliar with the source material), but I can't imagine it's about an entire group/race of evil characters... the bad guys are rarely the protagonists of films, especially in this genre.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'm really, really tempted to say something about how certain fans' opinions of the Inhumans might be slightly skewed by the fact that one of said Inhumans is a possible love interest for Skye, which wouldn't bode too well for Skyeward if it were to pan out...

    ReplyDelete
  90. What, I'm shocked at the suggestion Sir, SHOCKED! Having said that I think you might be on to something there. I mean so far we have seen Skye get what she's been searching for all her life, with a Mom that seems to care.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Could he actually be the Man with the Golden Gun?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Well most likely the movie will be around the Royal Family or something along those lines, with the AoS being somewhat restricted, so who knows, they could show the Earth based Inhumans as being more conservative then the others...

    ReplyDelete
  93. Good point about the Olmost Shield (though that might be also to maybe create a situation for Bobbi to ralign with the other team (otherwise I have no idea how they keep her as a full cast member). In terms of the Inhumans, with the restrictions of Gordon being the transport system, not sure how they could organise enough to be trouble unless the elders back some form of conflict between the Inhumans and the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hmmm, regarding that last point - I wonder if Gordon is the only one who CAN come and go, or if he's the only one ALLOWED to? If it's the latter, some pesky Inhumans could still leave without permission and cause trouble, even if the Elders are on the up and up.

P.S. I hope Gordon gets paid or something. Imagine being at the eternal beck-and-call of your people for when someone wants to come or go, or even when everyone wants pizza! Sounds exhausting.

    ReplyDelete
  95. The actress that is playing her(Alisha) is AP's stunt double

And she has been Wonder Woman (BVS)
    Dottie (Agent Carter)
    Sarah (Chuck)
    Charlie (Revolution)

    ReplyDelete
  96. Skye also doesn't know there are two SHIELDs. May told her SHIELD was coming after her, then got cut off without explaining anything else. Add to that seeing Bobbi with the agents who tried to shoot her and Skye has to be pretty confused about what's going on. The only person she knows she can trust is May, since she warned her. One can assume she wants to trust Coulson too, but as far as she knows he's the only one who could send SHIELD agents after her.
