  1. ufff...alliances might change. I don't know what to think anymore. Are they playing "real SHIELD" or are they slowly changing their mind.

  2. Oh, come on. SHIELD is a spy agency ffs. The director has secret programs and is good at covering his tracks. Shocker.

If Agents of SHIELD is trying to legitimately raise the possibility that Coulson is shady they're failing. This aspect of the storyline is just silly melodrama to me.

looks like coulson is completely innoncent now

    ReplyDelete
  4. I don't think they're trying to fool the audience into thinking that Coulson is shady, but they might be trying to fool May and Simmons.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Sounds to me like an Academy well. Some of the visits could have been to meet Mike and/or Fury.
It is going to be something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Fair enough. It's still a pretty weak effort though.

    ReplyDelete
  7. What exactly has Coulson done wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Coulson is Leviathan !!!! He's running his own Black Widow Project

Seriously though .Bet it's some charity for orphans from what happened
in Bahrain.Mr May is a boy scout so its gonna be something on the up and
    up

    ReplyDelete
  9. it just shows that you don't have any friends and you can't trust anyone as a spy

    ReplyDelete
  10. From this I certainly think that May is doubting Coulson. I wonder how much if any of these acts might have been related to the GH 325. As for Mack's "Why did we go to the city?" I mean really, maybe as director he should have given everyone the day off and let what you thought was a WMD of extinction level in there with Hydra! I don't get how Real Shield seems to be ignoring the fact that Whitehall was hunting for it at the exact sametime.

I wonder how long it will be until we find out what he's been doing from his side of the table, certainly though it would suggest that May is not going to react well to thnews that Coulson ends up with Ward.

If this peak is about Shield, I wonder will the next one be about Skye and Co?

    ReplyDelete
  11. It is troubling that he didn't include May in any of the deisions though. Other Shield has a legitmate question about that if he's been up to so much.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Could this be the set up for the proposed Spin off?

    ReplyDelete
  13. If he hadn't hidden it so well, I'd suggest something like a new Shield Academy getting built (which somebody should probably be thinking about since I presume new agents aren't going to train themselves)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Its a possibility, you never know that could be where Fitz is going. He seems to have a definite destination in mind.

Whole new base ready to go.

Just typical of real Shield to assume the worst, either that or they are trying to fool May and Simmons who could already know about it but have to pretend they don't as they know they are being watched.

If it is an academy who will teach there, could Gonzales end up there after it is all sorted out, next would be FitzSimmons and May but it would deplete AOS too much. Mockingbird could be an option or they may go for all new except for Gonzales.

Ward and Kara could teach as the academy perhaps but would be a thorny issue for some readers of this website who are not exactly fans of Ward at the moment (I would be OK with it). :) Bit of a long shot at the moment and a waste of Ward really if you ask me.

I can definitely see Gonzales being put out to pasture there after everything settles down assuming he survives, Coulson could say that if he wants Agents who are loyal to Shield and not to a person then he can go make sure of it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I don't find it troubling at all. Coulson is the director and decisions like this are his prerogative. I get that Coulson is pretty tight with some of the main characters but this isn't a family business and he's in charge. He's under no obligation to get permission from May (or run it by her) if he wants to consult a psychiatrist, even if that shrink is May's ex.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Butterfly_fairy9 April 2015 at 23:29

I hope she holds on..for Philinda to break apart would be awful. :(

    ReplyDelete
  17. nah, not shady... but if you have someone as loyal to you as May is to him and who is saying that he is tired of secrets and then he keeps secrets from her, the audience will raise an eyebrow

    ReplyDelete
  18. Even Fury had some support (Hill) who knew what seem to be everything that he was up to. Running something as major as Shield wthout having a second opinion on opsplans is a concern. That's just a rational view.

    ReplyDelete
  19. They are completely playing other SHIELD. Like someone is going to flash her photos of Coulson and her husband and then tell her he bought 100 bunk beds and she is gonna start to question him? Come on. Her telling Jemma to open the box is probably another ruse. Coulson probably had a backup box made on the off chance. Remember when Coulson and Jemma were with Bobbi and the gas knocked them out? But you that is when Coulson gave Jemma the real box because he knew they would try to get her and Fitz to open it. So the box they took off him was the fake box. Then Fitz does his act and leaves which Jemma slips the real box into his bag.

    ReplyDelete
  20. No one ever knew everything that Fury was up to. He wouldn't be Fury otherwise. Furthermore, if Coulson needed a second opinion on every move he made he wouldn't be a competent director.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Jemma made the fake box herself. That's what the part with her scanning it was about.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Stephen S. Bowman10 April 2015 at 00:01

wonder how may reaction will be when she finds out fitz has it

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wait. People actually think she whipped up an exact replica of the toolbox with other SHIELD there?

What she was doing was buying time and telling Fitz without actually telling him.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I doubt whatever Coulson is hiding will be anything bad. Might be connected to the spin off. I hope May is putting on a show for Mack. I'm going to be disappointed if May really is doubting Coulson that easily.

    ReplyDelete
  25. If he was burning through money that Shield needed, that's not second opinion that's a major operational concern. There is a difference between being the person that makes the call, and being completely isolated in the decision making process. I had assumed that May was included in most of the majo plans as just somebody to say "are we sure that's the best usage?". If she isn't at least some of Other Shield's concerns about his directorship have a valid basis.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Same. It would be so OOC for her in every way.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Stephen S. Bowman10 April 2015 at 01:04

i never said i'm sure she has had it for a while

    ReplyDelete
  28. He might even be trying to rebuild the Academy! Like buying beds for the students and collaborating with May's husband to see if he would mind being the new principal. etc etc.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I feel like they're yanking our chain with all this BS

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think whatever Coulson is doing, he is acting like a leader. A leader delegates and shares information on as needed basis. I am sure the President of the United States of America does not share information with every cabinet member. He had good reason and he is the director of Shield. A leader makes decisions. I saw the ad with Fury for the Avengers on it. CAN hardly wait till he puts Gonzales in his place. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah, but the President still has advisers and people who know everything he does, Coulson has no one like that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. You know what a 3-D printer is? Jemma was scanning the exact properties and dimensions of the box. And then Fitz said "why should she do that unless..." and that's when the realization set in.

    ReplyDelete
  33. They are very narrow-minded...it is nearly paranoid how they are convinced that Coulson is building some sort of super-army without even considering other options. Safe-houses, a new Academy, just to mention a few other possibilities.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm completely lost, here. But I'm not going to try too hard to understand any of this because who knows what scheme May and/or Simmons are working. There's only one thing we can say for sure: they aren't working together, because then they wouldn't need to keep up a charade of investigating Coulson *before* Mack came into the room.

    ReplyDelete
  35. And why are they bringing up T.A.H.I.T.I. as supposed evidence of this theory? That project was merely about healing people, not giving them powers.

    ReplyDelete
  36. and the plot thickens....love it :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. Avengers type of iniciative, like secret avengers or warriors? it sounds like this will be the groundwork for the supposed spinoff they are planning with power people. Very interesting twist. Poor Simmons, will have to tell them she and Fitz exchanged the boxes and they have a fake tool box. May will be pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  38. disqus_a1hsIVwzJS10 April 2015 at 17:35

I don't think it's OOC for her to doubt him necessarily. May is a pretty logical person. And while she has implicit trust in Coulson, there's a good chance she was under the impression that she was in the loop on a lot of things that she maybe wasn't. I would worry more if she didn't question it because blind loyalty (especially given the ridiculous amount of betrayals they've already sustained) is a little stupid. She played the reverse role when she was monitoring Phil for Fury - so she knows that things aren't always what they seem. I think it only becomes OOC if she takes any major action on her doubts without some sort of contact with Coulson first.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm a little hurt about this sneak peek, I thought that May would be the las person to betrayls Coulson but it looks like that. Gosh at this point I don't know what to think anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Going to laugh if it turns out all that data isn't Coulson at all, but that its Fury who, being dead, had to use someone else's ID for all his trips. Also Coulson could be reaching out to May's ex for counselling for himself. Although in the episode it didn't sound like he had been in touch with anyone at SHIELD so maybe its all fake data from Gonzales, team.

    ReplyDelete
  41. We don't know that. We didn't even know Coulson had been working with Mike/Deathlock all season, BUT he has. Until the facts are shown, I am TEAM COUSLON being a GREAT LEADER!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ok i'm confused what the hell is going on? First Simmons gives the BOX to Fitz and he goes away now this. What the hell is going on here!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Gaia Di Lorenzo10 April 2015 at 21:01

having an heartattack Philinda is dead..... damn...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hhhmmm... interesting having Melinda and Simmons questioning Coulson... possibly questioning... I'm not entirely sure they're not putting up an act here.

    We'll see I guess...

    ReplyDelete
  45. From the comment from Gonzales, it would suggest that Bahrain involved an out of control gifted. If that's the case you can see why th idea of Coulson planning a major base for Gifted/Enhanced people (to the tune of 100 plus) could certainly be something that she would have issues with.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I suppose they are just trying to suggest that nobody truly knows that the Map was the only thing that the treatment left. Though I still do not get this push/complaint from Real Shield about trying to prevent what was to their knowledge an attempt to unleash a WMD. Though since we haven't seen any evidence of them being active against Hydra maybe they were cool with Hydra getting another weapon system.

    ReplyDelete
  47. From memory at one point didn't he say something when he had the box open (something along the lines of "keep an eye out for this"?). Now maybe the Box has an AI or something or else perhaps somebody else is involved?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeah, I feel like if Mack/anyone complains one more time about Coulson going to the alien city, I'm going to punch them through the television (laptop in my case) screen.

    ReplyDelete
  49. If that is the case, then I completely agree, but it's all speculation on the other shields part. We have no idea what those bunks are for. We don't actually know for sure that the beds are for gifted people. Maybe just the possibility of it is what May is concerned about...
We'll just have to wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Whoa at Skye being able to hear the mountain. That's pretty awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I wanted to see more Skye is so powerfull and amazing. I'm kida glad that someone is showing her the way.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Skye's powers are amazing. Hear the mountain frequence? wow! Jiaying is looking at her so proudly. Mom and daughter bonding time.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I wonder how many storylines will be in the next episode? May's backstory & Skye, her mother and her powers, for sure. But maybe a third or even a fourth?
    - Coulson/Hunter/Deathlok searching for Ward/Kara
    - or/and "real SHIELD"

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ahhh they interupted it at the most exciting part! Go Skye, control that! :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Was I the only one thinking that the scene between Skye and her mom was very sweet?
I'm so excited to see what she's going to do to that mountain. Go Skye!

    ReplyDelete
  56. What 3D printers do is very lightweight and getting texture even remotely right would require some serious skills in painting and time. However, it's possible that SHIELD would have much better 3d-printing tech than we have in this universe? Or maybe she didn't use 3D printing, but 3d milling machine.

I'm so seriously geek-envious of all the cool toys and tools people have in this series. Want.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Looks good. Can't wait to see more of Skye's powers.

    ReplyDelete
  58. RememberSekhmet13 April 2015 at 16:36

Given what is supposed to happen the week after, I think the bunk beds are for liberated prisoners in the big HYDRA base. You want the cells for the HYDRA prisoners SHIELD takes, and there is no guarantee that the living quarters for the HYDRA goons will be livable after the raid. So you set up bunk beds in the gymnasium or cafeteria or whatever. The freed prisoners crash there until SHIELD figures out where to take them.

    ReplyDelete
  59. oh come on, they cut it right when it got juicy :(

    ReplyDelete
  60. Wow amazing scene jiaying looks so proud of her daughter this is the exact reason I wanted her to be alive dichen is fabulous and her portrayal as stone cold from earlier appearances and a cheerful and smiling guide are amazing. I can't wait for this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Let it go Skye, Let it go...

    ReplyDelete
  62. What episode are you referencing? Thanks

not really a fan of that whole inhuman community it feels like a cult

    ReplyDelete
  64. Victoria Llanos13 April 2015 at 18:19

That was very touching! You can tell Jiaying is so proud of her! I'm not sure this will end well (the whole inhuman arc) but I'm loving their interactions.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'd have to rewatch the season, but I think it was in 2A.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, the comment from Gordon to Cal makes you think it's going to end badly, but I can't wait to see if Skyefinds out, (though if it is going to end badly I wonder if Jiaying will tell her?)

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think it's just more of a seperate community, it has it's own system as it is different to the rest of the world. If they have been active since whenever the Kree stopped the project (as I get from Lincoln's comments) then it does explain why they are different.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yeah, it feels good, hope it works out for Skye, it would certainly change her views/grounds

    ReplyDelete
  69. You just knew they were going to :( But now I really can't wait to see this episode. Why can't it be on Netflix and I could just binge watch (though the job might be in the way...)

    ReplyDelete
  70. It's a good scene, I really want to see more of thier interactions.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I can't wait until she explains it to Simmons and Fitz. I can just imagine the scientific responses to what she can do. That and the entire Shield reaction to when she has control. I still hope she puts Ward in his place with it.

    ReplyDelete
  72. It's great to see her finally getting comfortable with her powers. And yeah Jiaying looks so proud.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Stephen S. Bowman13 April 2015 at 18:36

at the same time they need to understand why shield had to take precautions with skye their duty is protect man kind

    ReplyDelete
  74. Me too. Jaiying looks very happy and like a proud mother, I like her like that.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Victoria Llanos13 April 2015 at 18:50

I would love for her loyalites to lie with her daughter, but she's too intertwined with the inhuman comunity, I'm not sure it will go that way in the end... but it would be nice for Skye... she already has a crazy dad, give her a decent mom...

    ReplyDelete
  76. lmao for Ward I just want to see the reaction of the "real" SHIELD especially I want Gonzales to shut the f*** up about her being a monster seriously he's so annoying about it. And I really can't help it but I still Ship SkyeWard don't ask why.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Yeah I think it would be fairly harsh on Skye if she finds out and ends up against her mom. Her character has been through plenty regarding her family, not having something good come from it would be fairly crap. That's why I was thinking Jiaying might not tell her.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Well think about it, they've existed long before Shield and have seen Hydra's actions. It's not strange or difficult to understand why they are isolated. We've seen the views of some Shield agents (Gonzales and Co) who have zero interest of working with Gifted. It's not just their reactions to Skye, we've seen the restrictions that Gifted live with on the Index, you can't blame the Inhumans for not wanting that, it's not closed minded, it's protecting their community.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Yeah, Gonzales and Co. are going to be shocked I bet when they see her in control. I want to see May and Coulson as well, I bet they'll be proud.

    ReplyDelete
  80. What's kind of better for me, is the fact that she's actually happy about it. Outside of her time with the tap water, this seems to be the first time she's comfortable with herself.

    ReplyDelete
  81. My thoughts exactly, UGH!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Now Jiaying just needs to tell Skye, "You are now one with nature." LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  83. YEAH for Coulson and May's reactions I've been a crazy lover of that little "family" the relationship of these 3 is too precious to me like "the writers dont' you dare to messing with it"

    ReplyDelete
  84. Yeah, it's good to see her having a normalish relationship with Jaiying, I hope they don't end up facing off against each other. I think that would be cruel on Skye, she should get something good out of her quest to find out about her family (other than the whole powers thing)

    ReplyDelete
  85. "I just work here" haha that's a good one :P

    ReplyDelete
  86. Congratulations young padawan, you are one with the force. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  87. ha May suspicious too? or is it a ploy. Well I don't care. I was never fond of out character from the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah, I don't know how the Inhumans can be expected to feel any differently about SHIELD/the government. We've seen what they do to some woman with knife fingernails, can you imagine the kind of restrictions they've placed on gifteds who have the power level of Skye?

Granted, there's the Avengers... but three of them technically aren't gifted, which leaves Thor (who's an alien and isn't on Earth most of the time anyway), Captain America (a national hero and symbol so I can see why he's been treated differently) and the Hulk (who WAS hunted by the military in The Incredible Hulk, no?), so there isn't really precedent for SHIELD being friendly towards gifteds.

Also - as I assume news of the Hydra infiltration has reached inhuman ears, that would also give them the exact same reason to distrust SHIELD as the rest of the world - Senator Ward DID announce that SHIELD isn't Hydra or a terrorist organization, but I could see a lot of people having residual suspicions.

In conclusion: if I were an Inhuman, I really don't think I would act any differently than they are. Nothing has given them any reason to believe that SHIELD doesn't mean them harm. Skye might be able to make them reconsider that view, but it's still too early for that.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Pretty much my thinking on the matter, not too mention we have no idea of their history. Who knows over the centuries how the Inhumans might have been treated. Shield and everyone is going to struggle dealing with the scale of the power that Skye has, and I'm sure that neither Coulson or Gonzales are happy with the implications of Gordon for example. If they find out that Jiaying is "immortal", how do you think they would react? Jemma was eager to try and find out more about the GH 325 for common usage in Season 1, it's not crazy to think that somebody might say "think of the benefits to humanity".

The reality is it makes perfect sense for the Inhumans to hide themselves from normal humans, I doubt Lincoln would have an average life in university if Shield and everone else knew he could make people hover...

    ReplyDelete
  90. Skye and Jiaying are adorable. Come on just tell her you are her mother already please. I can't wait til she reacts. Though the longer Jiaying waits the more chance Skye will be angry that she didn't tell her. So please hurry.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Stephen S. Bowman13 April 2015 at 23:34

probably be a bad move since she has more than skye to worry about

    ReplyDelete
  92. I wonder if Skye will figure out Jiaying is her mother or she'll end up telling her? Either way, I honestly have no idea how she'll react.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I hope Jiaying tells her but i will probably be way more dramatic with her finding out by someone else or putting the pieces she learns together and she will be mad.

    ReplyDelete
  94. If Jiaying keeps tipping her hand with any more obvious phrases like she did last week when mentioning a "connection between us" then Skye may very well figure it out on her own.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Skye is a smart girl i think if/when she learns what Jiaying gift is she can and will make a connection. Her dad told her her mother was chinese and she was born there. They are apparently in China. Whitehall told her what gift her mom had, not aging. Plus what you said about Jiaying dropping hints or being super motherly with her. It's not that hard to make the connection.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Exactly. Plus there's Jiaying's scars and Skye's dad telling her that her mom was butchered.

    ReplyDelete
  97. i love the score the second sneak peek has, it's beautiful and wow Skye's starting to understand her powers. But i still can't trust Jiaying

    ReplyDelete
  98. Whenever Skye is using her powers, the music becomes so beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  99. As I've said below, it would be pretty crappy if after everything Skye hasbeen through regarding her past that sh doesn't end up with anything good out of it. I mean if Jiaying does end up against her, the sum total of her quest to find out about herself is: powers she didn't want, a crazy killer father and a mother that may be against her... That seems more than crap for her. She deserves at least something good out of this.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think there's more a possibilty that Lincoln might let something slip that allows Skye to put it together (presumin he doesn't know the connection). If he comments about the scars or something and gives a timeframe Skye will be quick enough to put the pieces together.

The other point is, was it just me or did Raina seem to show so recognisation of Jiaying when she stopped Skye? We know Cal told her about Skye/Daisy, does she already know? If so I could see her "slipping" and making a comment to Skye just to cause issues.

    ReplyDelete
  101. That's the issue alright, the more Skye interacts with her without knowing, the worse the reaction when she does find out. But at the sametime, what is the Elder Council planning (from the potential of Gordon's comment to Cal)

    ReplyDelete
  102. Besides the slip-up about Raina, I think Lincoln showed last week that he chooses his words very carefully and isn't likely to give up any info. He was very good at giving Skye non-answers to her questions. As for Raina, it's a possibility but these days it seems Raina is too busy wallowing in her own self-pity to bother much with Skye plus, after how their first meeting went, I think the possibility of a second meeting between the two is less likely unless there's an urgent matter of some sort.

    ReplyDelete
  103. "Putting the pieces together"... what an unfortunate pun given the situation. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  104. Re the Jiyang & Skye clip: Eh... I wasn't that impressed...

    ReplyDelete
  105. Don't forget that in S1 Raina said both of Skye's parents were monsters. People were confused when she turned out to be dead but now that we know she isn't I wouldn't trust her.

I don't find it hard to see her going on a rampage with Cal after having her daughter taken from on top of everything else she had been through.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I didn't even notice the pun. Quite unfortunate indeed. I think Skye will be mad because she didn't tell her right away and maybe because she didn't look for her sooner but thinking by Jiaying point of view the woman suffered a lot. She was brutally murdered and put back together luckily having healing power and lost her family. It's understadning why Jiaying doesn't want to suddenly drop the whole truth on Skye.

    ReplyDelete
  107. ohhh i just got that! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  108. yeah the score's beautiful
