  1. I voted good. It mainly is setting up for the finale but it was still good especially in the final moments.

  2. Another awesome episode!!!

Wow . . . so much happened. I'm worried that they have exiled Rick, and it doesn't look like anyone is w/him. I cannot wait for next week. I'm also worried about Glenn. Nicholas is the type of guy who will kill Glenn to keep his cowardice a secret. Glenn better watch his back.

I loved the scene where Rick was just looking at the normal, everyday activities and practically hyperventilating. Rick just can't wrap his mind around the way these people live. They are so clueless and dumb. I don't like the Alexandria people at all. They just don't understand the world b/c they've been sheltered. They live in a fantasy world. They are too stupid to live.

I'm not sure what to make of Jessie's drama. That all happened a bit too quickly for my taste. I don't really care about Jessie or her husband so I wasn't itching to see Rick fight him.

I'm very interested in what is happening w/those zombies w/the Ws on their foreheads. Who tied up that woman? What's going on w/that? I can't wait to find out!

  3. So it looks like Rick will be exiled next week. I have a feeling Morgan returns to the show too.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I wouldn't have patience for the Alexandrians. I'd be looking to open the gate and let the walkers eat these walkerbait idiots.

Carl's got a girlfriend, however long it lasts. :)

I'm very interested in the carved walkers. Is it Morgan doing it? Can't wait to see where that goes.

I don't really want Rick with Jessie. I think they are really missing a big opportunity for a Rick and Michonne pairing.

Just waiting for the finale to how it all ends.

    ReplyDelete
  5. If Rick ...s Jessie this wouldn't mean that there won't be a Rick and Michonne pairing in the future. Rick feels attracted to Jessie but he surely isn't in love.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Exiled by who? Nobody who's strong on that place would let that happen.

    ReplyDelete
  7. This Carl/whatever her name is budding romance shouldn't work, but it does, it's kind of cute, as long as thy keep it to a minimum and don't let it bog the show down.
This was a nice set up for the finale, the Rick and Pete confrontation was intense, shit's going down.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I was shocked that Michonne knocked Rick out. I would have expected something like that from Glenn or Abraham, but not her.
I'm worried that Rick was exiled, but Deanna wouldn't let him take his kids with him. Kind of like "an eye of an eye" thing. I know Rick wasn't there when her kid was killed, but since she's the leader of the group and Rick is seen as the leader of his group, she could see it as "you took away from child, I'm going to take away yours"

    ReplyDelete
  9. Awesome. I love Rick, and the little smirk Carol had, as he was fighting Pete. Lol. I think Michonne stopped Rick before he came right out and said, I'm taking over. I hope Jessie is not becoming a part of the group with her boys. I also hope they kick Father No Loyalty to the curb.

    ReplyDelete
  10. At the end, I kept thinking that Sasha should stop shooting the walkers, let the wall(s) come down and then lets see how well the Alexandria people fare.

    ReplyDelete
  11. That would have been awesome to see! I hate all the Alexandria people except for Aaron. He's okay. Oh, and little Sammy is all right w/me.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Even though I ship Richonne, I wouldn't be completely opposed to Rick/Jessie but there has been no build up to that story. He barely knows her and has only spoken to her a few times. I feel like they are pushing the Rick/Jessie thing on us too soon.

    ReplyDelete
  13. If they follow the comic, Jessie won't be around. I kind of skimmed the wikipedia on it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. It makes sense that there is not much "build up" because he just wants to ... her. In the comics he is still "calling" Lori at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Another awesome episode !!!
Can't believe this time next week we will be done for another season.

This is way WAY out there but when Deanna appeared all sinister and burned the note from Carol there was a striking ( IMHO ) facial resemblance to Mary ( "Us", "A', & "No Sanctuary" ) from the end of season four / beginning of season 5.

Could it be possible Deanna and Mary are sisters ?

( the Alexandria Safe-Zone residents could have be 'exiled' from Woodbury or the Hilltop Colony or even escaped the West Georgia Correctional Facility )

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ahhhh . . . that is interesting . . . . about Rick calling Lori. Wow!

I guess I felt the show was trying to sell me "love," but if it is just about "lust," that makes more sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree. They are definitely gonna kick Rick out of the community next week. I hope he will run into Morgan!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Actually, I was wondering if Carol poisoned their casserole, but they didn't eat it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That seems a bit to passive aggressive for her at this point. It feels like if shes going to kill someone, she would go out of her way to tell them.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Really good and that ending was awesome.

Even though many of us believe the 'Wolves' are the shows name for the 'Saviors' ... could it possibly be for the 'Whisperers' or the 'Scavengers' ?"

  22. Sasha is losing it. She is trying so hard to survive. She will fall next. And Michonne is skating on a very thin ice. Ever since they entered Alexandria she is questioning everything about Rick. The last straw was punching Rick in his face. He was telling the truth. I really don't understand Michonne at this point. She was good and some point she turned into something worse. Starting to let her guard down. One of them is not gonna make it in the next episode. Gabriel and Nicolas are both still on my blacklist too. People like Nicolas always survive. But hope not. The Alexandrians are not different than the other groups as far as I see.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Glenn would hardly have done it given the deaths during the last trip due... if anything he'd be standing right alongside Rick IMO.

Michonne has just lost it.. perhaps she's forgetting what it's like outside, or trying not to remember given the flashbacks... like she's repressing what she was once like in order to survive.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Michonne actions this ep are greater factor against Rick/Michonne than Rick hooking up with Jessie IMO.

Seriously, open the gates and see who's standing in 24 hours to close them again.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Michonne leaving her sword behind was bad. She has turned into Andrea. She wants to believe the lie of Alexandra. It's a pretty lie, but it's a lie. The place is fake. The people wouldn't last five seconds if the dead get in there.

Gabriel and Nic both need to die and soon.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The Alexandrians are much more stupid and just survived because of this walls. Michonne knows that Rick was telling the truth but she wanted to stop him from killing Pete. They need a doctor for Tara and they would have to kill much more after Rick started...

    ReplyDelete
  27. I can't possibly imagine why they'd already bring in the Saviors, let alone the Whisperers (who were literally JUST introduced in the comics).

IF the Wolves are a remix of any antagonistic group from the comics, it's Derek and the DC Scavengers made to be a more serious threat than the quickly dispatched baddies they were in the comics. And then that would lead into No Way Out.

I don't know how anybody could be thinking that the Wolves could be any other group. Do you not realize how much material that'd be skipping? The show can easily go another full season without even introducing Jesus. There's plenty of material to continue adapting, and room for new material to be interjected.

  28. My least favorite episode of this block. Still good, just not as great as the previous six episodes.

-Good to see Rosita actually receiving dialogue and playing a role in an episode. We still don't know her job, though.

-Rick telling Jessie he'd only protect her is bullshit. This plot would flow more organically if he'd said that he'd help anyone in her shoes. It's who he is. Despite his many errors, Rick still has the nature of a hero. He's not trying to remove Pete simply because he has a hard-on for Jessie. That's a factor of it, yes, but Rick realizes that Pete's a toxin to this whole society.

-Glenn's really great at handling Nicholas.

-Michonne was really great in this episode. She seems to be the only one properly adjusting to Alexandria.

-Not a fan of Enid. It's nice to see Carl enjoying the presence of someone and possibly harboring something for them, but I just wish it was with someone else. Enid's just coming off as a melodramatic teen trying to be tough and mysterious.

-I still don't care about 'W.' I'm not in the mood for another big villain just yet.

-Loved Nine Inch Nails being on Aiden's run mix. So much better than last weeks dubstep. He's still a basic bitch, though. A dead basic bitch.

-They built off of Noah's death quite well considering he was a mostly inconsequential secondary character.

-More of Daryl and Aaron, please?

-Still no Holly, Paula, Heath, or Denise...

-Judging by the previews for next week, it looks like we're back to taking some pretty huge liberties from the comics, and I don't know how they're going to course correct this one...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not a bad episode; I'm just hoping they're not rushing through the Alexandria leg of the journey at too fast a clip. Certain things seem overly shorthanded -- for example, it's hard for me to believe Rick and Deanna never had a detailed conversation about "constable expectations" before Rick was turned loose to roam the streets with a gun. Having both characters stand over her just-deceased son's symbolic grave and disagree over "Let's kill the only surgeon" vs. "No, here we exile" seemed kinda simplistic and hard to swallow. Of course, Rick is 100% right that the Alexandrians are weak and naive, but screaming his points while covered in blood and waving a gun around is maybe not the most diplomatic approach. Dang lust, messes up everything. I do, though, like how other characters like Glenn and Michonne are being allowed to step up with a badass yet more level-headed attitude.

My personal suspicion is that the carved letter on the walkers' heads isn't actually a "W," but an "M" for Morgan. It was actually shown that way once, upside-down. I'm wondering if the "Wolves" stuff is maybe meant to misdirect, since we've seen glimpses of Morgan all season long (who was, let's be honest, crazier than a loon during his last featured episode). It seems like he should be coming to the forefront soon -- like maybe the season finale...??

Finally, GO CARL!!! Nice that he finally gets 5 minutes to feel like a lighthearted kid with a crush. :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. So funny you said that!! I figured Deanna didn't take it inside because she was so deep in her grief, but also wondered how suspicious she's getting and whether she's reluctant to accept food from the "new kids" given the latest developments. I know the Alexandrians as a group are weak, but I still see Deanna as generally pretty savvy. Not saying Carol did anything, but to me it was very telling that Deanna left it alone.

Yes! As someone who really loves the comics, It's nice to see someone that obviously has a lot of passion for them as I do :) Yeah, It's WAY too early for Saviors/Wisperers

This IS the No Way Out arch, isn't it?

  32. Mark David Green23 March 2015 at 15:07

Disagreed with you on a few things, but the bottom I was like YESSS to!

Daryl and Aaron have a cool bromance going on

    ReplyDelete
  33. NOT THE BEST EPISODE....lots of changes from comics and I dont feel like those changes are for better...what was that with michonne hittim rick? Why did she do that?
-sasha scenes- pure filler, her psycho bereakedown is not interesting any more...so many bullets wasted, but thanks good they have bullet factory...seems like it.
-that girl I dont care about, the one with her "its walkers world" philosophy, really annoying person, and her scenes were filler too, cant see any point of that
-seems like the wolves killed a married couple, the husband was cut into pieces, and the wife probably raped and left to be eaten by the walkers.
-wouldnt it be better to gather all Alexandria morons and tell them story of our heroes adventures? How they met cannibals, how they met governor, the hospital-police folk etc? Then they would understand its better to be safe than sorry, to train to fight, change attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  34. yeah, You should see it in the comic, that moment with her and her son, how it happened, brutal. I dont think they would make it like this in the show.

    ReplyDelete
  35. they could go even more thn one season without introducing Jesus, given all those subplot boredom like that running through the woods with walker loving annoying girl, or sashas mental adventures...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Er... In the comics Michonne also hits Rick with a stone.

    ReplyDelete
  37. did I write she did not? I'm talking about all those made up characters who are useless, doing nothing, talking about unimportant things, the girl with some walkers issues, sasha, she was ok, now she is not, Tara was introduced just to be a talking extra, now she is gonna be unconscious to the next season or never waking up, Noah- what was that character introduced for? They take the precious screen time from interesting characters and introduce dozen new ones.

    ReplyDelete
  38. In the Comics is Sophia Carl's girlfriend (although he's much younger than in the series) Carl is the only character who will surely survive until the end of this series. So it was obviously time to introduce a character for his first romance. I didn't care about Tara. But now I like how she changes Eugene. I'm happy that they don't just follow the comics. So there can ever happen surprising things.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Enid survived on her own outside. So she doesn't need to pretend to be mysterious. She is.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm all for more Daryl-Aaron interactions. I just hope Eric doesn't become too obscure of a character with Daryl becoming Aaron's scouting partner.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think there's gonna be a split in the group. Rick will get Exiled and maybe some folk will go with him but some will wantbto stay and give Alexandria a chance. I've enjoyed having all our ensemble in one place for this half of the season, but I think the dynamics are better when we have two or three subgroups.

I can't say I really give a hoot about Rick and Jessie. I mean, meh. So what?

Same goes for Carl and Enid. I'm shipping Aaryl.

    ReplyDelete
  42. is W for whisperers?

    ReplyDelete
  43. yeah, but those characters, euegene, sophia, are not even secondary characters in the comic...there is too many subplots in this show. The show doesnt work like the comic book, they cant keep the actor who plays the priest just to show him two or three times per season, and hope the actor will be available when needed. In the comic he is seen just from time to time. Here they have to deal with him somehow. There is no need for so many characters in the series.

    ReplyDelete
  44. lol Before Rick gets exiled Michonne herself would take care for "senator stupid".

    ReplyDelete
  45. rick has lost it...I completely understand michonne

    ReplyDelete
  46. Because he was going to kill Pete and then they would have to kill much more?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Is it just me are is Rick close to becoming like Shane?? Why is he so obsessed with Jessie? Remember, he was thinking about killing Pete even before Carol let him know that Pete is hitting Jessie. He put his hand on his gun just from seeing Pete putting his arm around Jessie. He's losing it over a girl. Glad Michonne knocked him out. He needs help.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Right now, we're having a twist on Life Among Them, and Too Far Gone, both of which are strong and very nuanced arcs in the comics, where we really get to see the mental toll on each character and their development with people who have wildly different experiences in this world than they do.

The show has made the Alexandrians too incompetent. Nicholas is too huge of a pussy. Rick is acting too emotionally (ala Shane), rather than as a paternal figure like in the comics. The show's ditched all nuance. They also appear to have skipped out on several prevalent Alexandrians.

With the finale being 90 minutes, I could see the show covering No Way Out in that one episode, but I hope not. They need to spend the time course correcting the damages to some of these characters.

I'm hoping they hold off No Way Out a bit longer and make that 6.07 and 6.08. The finale can feature the Scavengers/Wolves, but not lead too directly into No Way Out. The show needs to spend the next handful of episodes course correcting Rick, Nicholas, Holly/Francine, and Jessie, and then actually develop Bruce, Tobin, etc. before No Way Out.

Then 6.09-6.15 could easily be used on fortifying Alexandria, minimizing Walkers, strengthening of politics, Rick convincing his opposers he's a fit leader, Spencer being douchey, the idea of Negan, etc. Plenty of good material to fill several episodes.

But that won't happen. This show likes to skip the "boring" parts where few deaths occur, and characters and society are actually developed.

I hear Alexandra Breckenridge (Jessie) and Tovah Feldshuh (Deanna) have series regular contract for next season, so that may indicate a large departure from the comics. Although, Andrew J. West (Gareth) was given series series regular status, too, and we know how that went. The finale will definitely be the determining factor in whether or not the show will committedly stray from the comics.

    ReplyDelete
  49. He's not obsessed with Jessie. He's obsessed with finishing assholes. He sees that Pete will becomes dangerous and in opposition to "senator stupid" he knows what must be done to survive in this world. Shane would be scared by that Rick Grimes who was reborn in 4x16. Rick is a Psychopath and that's the reason why they all survived (and why they will survive in the future)

    ReplyDelete
  50. NOO, they can't ! but I wonder how they handle him and Pete..

    ReplyDelete
  51. Michone hitting Rick in the end...bravo! He needed to stop with his little speech already. Best scene in the whole episode.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Last scene was great...go Michone! No Tara at all was just a huge disservice to her character. It's like she doesn't even matter and I think she does so that peed me off a little.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I bet that it will be the same scene with Jessie holding Judith instead of little-comic-Carl

    ReplyDelete
  54. Good episode. I think Sasha will die. Father Gabriel is a dead man walking. Deanna and her people are going to pay for their stupidity

    ReplyDelete
  55. Damn Michonne knocking Rick so hard you go girl he was acting nuts dude even push Carl away. I like that Rick was beating the crap out of pete but there has too be better way's too do it then killing him and I was sick of Rick speech so I was waiting for someone too knock him the F out. I was thinking that Alexandria was safe in the comic was that right or not?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Nothing is safe in the comics.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yay! I'm glad. I don't think I could have stomache that.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Lol, I wondered that too. Deanna clearly does not trust any of them. WHich makes you wonder why. Father Pee Pants sowed thoes oats of distrust, or they were already there. Bottom line, Rick told her what would happen in his initial interview.

    ReplyDelete
  59. While I have enjoyed a number of the episodes lately I'm growing tired of the Alexandria setting...
The people are all so naive and ignorant. Yes, I get that is purposeful and meant to show contrast with our group by putting them in situations they are not used to since the ZA began. I can enjoy that aspect, but not a single Alexandrian character is entertaining to me. Not one, not even Deanna.

To me Deanna is the type of person who is smart and may make it in the larger world, but her shelter has halted her needed evolution. She seems like the type that would be caught up in the ethics or the psycho-analysis of any given situation because she is currently incapable of breaking things down to the needed simpler mindset. Survival.

Within the confines of the walls things seem like the old world, but there needs to be an acknowledgement to the greater world they are living in. To do so is simple denial. They cannot ignore the state of things as they are outside the walls.

That said, Rick is going about things in the wrong way.
He deserved to be knocked out by Michonne. Rick's actions only succeeded in forcing Deanna's hand. He made it impossible for her to ever come around to his side, even if there is a lot of truth to what he is saying.

I know a lot fo people think Sasha is at the breaking point and doomed to die, but It think she is at a point every character faces at some point. I think she is capable of making the right turn back to a more stable mindset.

Overall it was a table-setter episode putting things in place for the finale.
    Solid, but nothing special.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Rick has a point but he hasnt realized that these people have survived in their own way the same ammount of time they have been in the "wild". The episode was almost boring, just a set up for the finale. Whch for the looks of it. Its's gonna be great.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Im still waiting for the moment where Daryl and Aaron hook up. lol

    ReplyDelete
  62. Fine by me. That'd constitute as some of the first legitimate character development Daryl's had since about mid-s3.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Scott:...Rosita's job is Infirmary nurse.... that's why she knew bout Tara being Stable... im sure that Dr Denise will show up once Pete is dead...and what did u think of Nicholas finding Rick's gun?... u think he will use it on Glenn?...☺...

    ReplyDelete
  64. Im sorry u feel that way bout ASZ...but u better get used to it if u want to continue watching the show cause they are all STILL there as of this day and it looks like they are NEVER leaving....it seems like ASZ is their Home till the tv show ends...☺...

    ReplyDelete
  65. It doesn't bother me that much and I'm not too concerned since in the few episodes at ASZ Rick's group has already started to open the eyes of the residents.

I'm sure the finale will kill some of the people as well... That should open their eyes even more! XD

    ReplyDelete
  66. Was it ever stated that Rosita's posing as a nurse? I assumed she was aware of Tara's current condition because she'd probably checked on her shortly beforehand.

Sure hoping Denise shows up soon!

I'm thinking Nicholas will try to stage a coup like he did in the comics. Maybe he'll specifically target Glenn here instead of Rick. I think he used a knife in the comics, though.

    ReplyDelete
  67. so there is no save place at all? that's really sad.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Kirkman confrimed all their jobs in a interview after the epi when they arrived at ASZ... he was the Director of that epi and he stated all the scenes of them leaving for their jobs the next morn had to be deleted from the epi...

i know everyone hates when we have to learn more bout TWD with outside articles and interviews... but sometimes u have to stay ahead by reading everything available in order to stay ahead, lol...☺...

    ReplyDelete
  69. Thank you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Hadn't seen that interview, thanks!

I don't much mind "having" to learn extra info from outside of the show, but I definitely think that they should've directly confirmed Rosita's job in the show itself by now. Seems like a bit of an oversight. I sure hope that's a scene that was filmed and make it to the dvd set -- would love to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. ur welcome and i understand ur concerns bout Rosita...i feel they havent told us is cause they havent told us bout Denise yet... they want to keep the "tv viewers only" surprised...

im sure the "tv viewers only" will be shocked when Pete is killed and say "there is no doctor now"... but they dont know that Denise is there and will be there for a very long time, lol...☺...

    ReplyDelete
  72. Which I think is cheap. If memory serves, Denise was among the first Alexandrians introduced in the comics. The show's being cheap by holding out on her (assuming she's even in the show!). They're trying too hard to create false tension and conflict with the potential murder of Pete.
