  1. THEY REFERENCED WALT!! WALT DISNEY :)
Damn that other author forsaken his duty, changing the stories.

I enjoyed this episode. Snow is really having some powerful character development, she’s becoming really self aware, “the darkness started along time ago”, she’s accepting her actions but at the same time losing her daughter :( 'Were not heroes anymore, its easy to lose our way if were selfish’

Poor Maleficent :( My heart breaks for her but yay!! LILY!!
"This will become a monster just like you" - Snow"And what are you?" - Maleficent
I’m enjoying that the idea that evil isn’t born, the parent may not be as good but the innocence of a child isn’t darkened by that, hits at the heart OUAT!

That poor child though, that entire scene where the baby is taken away is heartbreaking. Poor Maleficent. Even though the Apprentice said that the child had to be guided, isn’t that the duty of a parent anyway? So many questions.

Snow: "If we keep this up were no different than Gold” - It’s interesting how Ariel previously said villains go about getting their happy endings in the wrong way, so I wonder what will happen to the Charming's if they keep lying, are they themselves authoring their destiny down a a dark path? But now Emma knows, its the lying though that can diverge someone from their current path.

  2. The Walt Disney reference was great.

    ReplyDelete
  3. it was, it touched my heart :)

  4. Wow. That was going so well. Really entertaining and interesting then BOOM! Stuff that makes absolutely no sense and racism. I expected them to change Lily's ethnicity because of the casting rumours but to actually know they've whitewashed a character of colour is really upsetting.

I just...how did someone read the storyline with the author and the book and think, yes, this totally makes sense? And then more people allowed them to FILM IT?

I was properly horrified by Snow, Charming and Rumple though.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Holy shit at the "Walt" reference. Should have seen that one coming but didn't.

Still shipping Emma/August like burning and hee at jealous!Hook and the "just friends" line. Sure.

    Poor Maleficent and Regina.

    ReplyDelete
  6. What are you talking about...? What is racist and who did they whitewash?

    ReplyDelete
  7. THE PEDDLER'S THE AUTHOR!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i should've known, that actor's pretty knowable!!!!!!! WALT DISNEY HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damn David and Mary Margaret, your secret's worth than i thought. YOU SHOULD'VE LET THE AUTHOR IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's surprising that The Author is a job and not just a person, cool. Loved seeing August with Emma, of course he knows her

    ReplyDelete
  8. Wow! I knew it Emma childhood friend Lily is Maleficent daughter Snow really having some character development accepting her actions were not heroes anymore it's easy to lose our way if were selfish poor Regina don't ship but still loving Emma and August I knew it the peddler is the current author

  9. the HAD to right, the old books that isn't just the Storybook

    ReplyDelete
  10. Looks like there is a now a loophole for Snow and Charming in regards to earning forgiveness for taking away Malificent's daughter. If the Author manipulated the story into forcing the Apprentice into sending Lilly to another realm, then maybe he did the same to Snow and Charming. Maybe Snow and Charming weren't truly in control of their actions and were at the mercy of the Author. Did the Author believe having these expectant parents kidnap another woman's child for the sake of saving their own would be the better story to tell? Whatever happened, when all was said and done, Snow and Charming suffered the same fate as Malificent because they both lost their baby girls. I guess that falls under the category of magic has a price. I hope the Author cannot find the quill because then he can't rewrite anyone's story or steal anyone's happy ending. He has done more than enough damage already.

    ReplyDelete
  11. how is she whitwashed? we've seen Lilybefore and she was white, so i don't get it

    ReplyDelete
  12. a "great" one, they called Walt "great"

    ReplyDelete
  13. Is it just me or Lily's adoptive father looked like Cruella's husband??

    ReplyDelete
  14. I enjoyed this one more than I have a couple of the recent ones now... and that's saying something, because the flashbacks were Charmings-centered! I must say, though, I think I am just mostly excited for the NEXT episode. : D eeep. This arc has really shown quite a lot of familiar faces!!!!!! Loving it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. We don't even know who the real father is.... If you want to go with that claim, then you have to at least know the father's ethnicity. Also, white actors play Latinas, etc. all the time.... so why can't it be the other way around? If you ask me, it would only be racism if they didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  16. i knew The Author wasn't to be trusted when August started speaking about the The Author's legend, the page should've been burnt

    ReplyDelete
  17. i don't remember him honestly LOL

    ReplyDelete
  18. hmmm? really? huh okay

    ReplyDelete
  19. I do ;D they are similar, but I could be wrong..

    ReplyDelete
  20. ... or maybe this is the opportunity for the Author to face justice for the wrongs he has committed in manipulating the stories. Now maybe a more trustworthy and honest person can be given the distinction of being the Author. I think Henry is destined for this title and responsibility.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Am thinking ... :-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. David is always the more devious. Like he jumped to steal the page. He stopped than lied to Henry. He is def darker than snow! Like snow feels deeply. He doesn't at least not as much. He didn't even have the remorse she had in the flashback. It's more business for him.

Happy to see lily! Felt such pain when they took the egg. That was sick.

    ReplyDelete
  23. i don't think this show delves into destiny but if it DID Henry's definitely destined to become the greatest Author in history. Wouldn't killing him or keeping trapped enough justice?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Good episode. I wonder who the previous authors were. I knew Maleficent's child would be someone we knew. I didn't think Lily though.

    ReplyDelete
  25. what did they expect?! they know Maleficent's half-human, did they expect the baby to be a full dragon? yeah he did didn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  26. really why? it was pretty obvious this season. I think they were honorable and good Authors unlike the current Author, not really worth mentioning

    ReplyDelete
  27. Keeping the present Author trapped in the book is a form of justice. However, doesn't that also allow this despicable man to keep the title of the Author? Doesn't that also prevent the current and future stories from being observed and recorded? I'm thinking a new Author must be found or else the stories end with the book that Mary Margaret gave Henry. Maybe the first step in finding an new author is for someone to release the Apprentice from the Sorcerer's Hat because I'm guessing he has the magical quill.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yes release him from the hat. That is key!

    ReplyDelete
  29. oh yeah you're right, yeah he doesn't deserve the title of The Author, someone ACTUALLY honorable and good should fix what this man destroyed. You're right they need to free The Apprentice

    ReplyDelete
  30. someone just pointed out that Emma and August have something else in common: they both know when someone's lying

    ReplyDelete
  31. Lilys complexion was white as snow when she appeared she could have played Snow white.
,Mal's her mother and shes white .So umm what episode did you watch were Lilly was of colour, l want to know.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hmmm, ok. So the author manipulated it so that Snow and Charming would be the reason Malificent lost her child. Does that mean he manipulated Regina as well? I immediately thought of the page showing her and Robin Hood kissing outside the tavern. Now I'm wondering if it was the author that kept Regina from meeting Robin that night and not her fears. After all an evil stepmother out for revenge makes for a better story than one that finds her true love and walks away from the crappy situation she was put in.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't get were the racism comes in. Lily was white when they first showed her in s4a.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Destiny is pretty much what the entire show boils down to....

    ReplyDelete
  35. Cruella: I feel like I've aged a decade waiting for you.

Regina: Well it certainly looks like it.

    LOL Queen Regina!!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Charming is one of my favorite characters. (From reading countless comments about Charming's lack of intelligence, I know that is not a popular viewpoint.) And because he is my favorite, I examine his character arc more closely. I feel like he was completely out of character this episode. The way he yelled at Henry and insisted they continue to lie to Emma--it just didn't seem right. If the writers ever do explore the two halves of one heart, and, indeed, one got a lighter half and one got a darker half, maybe Charming got the dark half. And since he lost his own heart, maybe he is not himself anymore.

On the other hand, maybe the creators are just deconstructing characters for the sake of plot. There are enough gray areas in life--the whole point of fantasy is to exaggerate reality and create a starkness so that moral messages shine through [generally speaking--for the best case scenario]. Deconstructing heroes does indeed strip the original fairy tales--Snow White especially--of their allegorical properties. It is getting harder (but still not impossible) to root for the heroes after "Best Laid Plans". Hook is really the only character consistently keeping me coming back for this back half of a mediocre season.

    ReplyDelete
  37. to Emma sure, but not the rest of the characters

    ReplyDelete
  38. I was unwilling to move while the ep was on. This part of the season is looking at the question of heroes and villains and this episode flipped the script. What Snow and Charming did was heinous. And Charming was willing to compound that by killing the Author without ever freeing him. Suddenly Maleficent isn't just a villain. She's a woman who was wronged and is still suffering because of it.

The truth about the Author is intriguing.

I'm a full blown fan again. awesome

    ReplyDelete
  39. "Ariel previously said villains go about getting their happy endings in the wrong way" hmmm...so, in this story, Snow and Charming were the villains. I think the big question is if they will still be the villains now. Snow ultimately made the choice not to be and Charming went along with her so maybe he can return to being a hero too.

Oh wait..so was everything they believe in Fairytale Land a lie? Was Emma ever really in danger of being dark or was that all the Author?

The Walt mention was pretty awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thats what I've been thinking, will there be a role reversal in the finale, Villains being the Heroes? Lily was Emma's childhood friend who was also adopted but lied about being an orphan, she and Emma hid out in a house...

    It was so awesome :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I loved that episode! I wasn't expecting to find out who the author was until the finale. I love that they named him Walt lol. As this arc goes on it's feeling more and more like season 1, for me anyway.

Adam & Eddie have actually created the perfect get of jail free card with this storyline. Any massively out of character moments in the past can now be explained away by the author manipulating the story. I hope they do delve deeper into what actions where their own and what parts the author manipulated.

Lily being Mal's daughter was no surprise, but Kristen's acting in that scene where they took the egg was fantastic. Cruella's face when Snow jumped her was hilarious! I wonder what Gold has that will make Regina do whatever he wants, and what's wrong with his heart.

The ending was weird, Emma was running down the hall and then suddenly was in the middle of town? Speaking of Emma, Jennifer's acting was also brilliant in this episode, she does emotional scenes very well I think.

The promo for the next episode looks amazing, I can't wait to have Zelena and Oz back :) I so hope the ratings didn't fall and don't fall after the break either.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I thought that what Snow and Charming did was extremely out of character, which tends to be my complaint with OUAT (their lack of consistent characterization). There was also never any indication of this kind of dark past with them. It came out of the blue. The only thing that would make sense, is that their actions were a manipulation of the author, otherwise, I see it as poor inconsistent writing on the part of the authors.

There have been a lot of developments this season that haven't always made sense, and I wonder how much of this had to do with the last author messing with the more recent stories. Regina, Robin Hood and Marian was another bizarre story, because of the inconsistency in the account of Marian's death (and even Robin's attitude towards Marian when she returned),. Even Ursula's story. It hurts my head thinking of it!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Good ep! Calling it now, Henry is going to be the next author!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Snow and Charming had everything coming to them.
So this author likes a good drama, that's why he prefered messing with everyone fates instead of recording what was happening. That's nice.
And Rumple is sick now, if he dies naturally who will be the dark one?, whoever takes the dagger?

    ReplyDelete
  45. asdasdasdasdasda30 March 2015 at 06:23

WHY, WHY, WHY do they say "coo-rella"?! It's like 24: Live Another Day where they said "nu-cular" instead of NUCLEAR.

    ReplyDelete
  46. And so, I've thought about it ... hence the edit above :-)

    ReplyDelete
  47. After the promo for next week I now think Zelena is disguised as Marion. The smoke from her pendant went through the time portal with Emma and Hook. That would explain the inconsistencies of her death. my prediction is that the Snow Queens freezing curse was completely reversed when she died and that Marion/Zelena faked its return just to separate Regina and Robin.

    ReplyDelete
  48. they say "cruella" don't they?

    ReplyDelete
  49. yeah and someone pointed out that because Lily's the vessel for Emma's darkness that when we saw her in 4A the way she felt: never loved, lonely, etc. it was because she was basically pre-ordained to to be dark and to have a dark heart, so it's not her fault. I think it could be both: the quill and the actual Author because they would have to know what to write, it can't be just gibberish. I think gold wants regina all to himself, he DOESN'T have a heart, and that dilemma IS interesting. I think the ones that actually have free will are Emma and Henry and MAYBE August

    ReplyDelete
  50. - Regina hugs Henry and Emma's expression says, "I need me some of that."
    - Hmmmm, famous actor in bit part. I'm sure that there's nothing more to his role.
    - Seriously, is David wearing lipstick?
    - "Henry Daniel Mills." Somebody got middle named. That's never good.
    - Cruella calls Ursula "Darling". Come on, they're a married couple.
    -
Boy, I'm glad Snow threw shade on Maleficent a few episodes ago when
Maleficent reached out. Surely someone like that wouldn't be a complete
    and utter hypocrite.
    - Emma pulling her hand away from Hook.
    - Zelena returns. YAY!
    - Robin returns. BOO!
    -
Why is everybody saying that the author is a terrible person? You
realize that he's the one that made it so that villains don't get a
happy ending. Because of him, only heroes get happy ever after.
    - They tied up a couple of loose threads:
    - How Cruella and Ursula got to our world.
    - How Snow could have done that to Maleficent, and not had a dark heart.

    ReplyDelete
  51. it seems to be his destiny huh? if there's anyone next to August that knows the Book better than anyone it's Henry.

    ReplyDelete
  52. the current Author ISN'T Walt, when August was mentioning the line of Authors he mentioned a "great one" NAMED Walt. The current Author doesn't have an actual name, for now he's the current Author and i guess for David and Mary Margaret The Peddler

    ReplyDelete
  53. it's confusing huh? the only way to become The Dark One is to KILL The Dark One. Not just by picking up the dagger

    ReplyDelete
  54. LOL it's never good when you get middle named HA!

    ReplyDelete
  55. My thoughts on Robin.
    http://forums.onceuponafans.com/post/my-problem-with-robin-7212241

    ReplyDelete
  56. I think that's an awesome theory. When Marion was initially reunited with Robin, I remember thinking that she might be an imposter, but then I dismissed the idea after a few episodes. However, the callous manner in which the writers (and Robin) dealt with Marion's character always disturbed me. Usually the writers do a good job portraying the backstory of new characters (which is why viewers tend to empathize even with the villains), but they neglected to do that with Marian. Also, after everything Regina did to her in the past, it was sad that there was no justice for Marion. Also, I found it odd that Robin no longer had feelings for a woman he cared for profoundly in the past. However, Marion's treatment would make so much more sense, if she turned out to be Zelena.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I agree completely about Charming (and Snow) behaving completely out of character in this episode. So I'm hoping it has something to do with the author messing around with the stories.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I love their scenes together

    ReplyDelete
  59. I have had major issues in the past with the show. I think it's caused me to judge this season easier in some ways. Though it also meant that they had to work harder to get me invested in their stories again.

I didn't have a problem with Snow's behavior hugely because of her actions with regard to Regina's mother. And the way David handled his affair with Mary Margaret during season one was less than honorable. So their characterization didn't standout as off for me.

I have to confess that the details about Marian and Robin Hood were the least important elements for me last season. I briefly wondered that they'd retconned Marian's death. But my enjoyment of Regina's story outweighed it for me. I simply decided not to worry about it. I am harder on shows whose writing I starts out really tight when they struggle (IMHO) than I do for shows that are doing the opposite. I do see your point, though.

    ReplyDelete
  60. ooo that would be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I think if anyone can escape the quill, it's Henry because he's not born in the enchanted forest. The rest of them can't ... IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  62. But that would mean that Cruella is Lily's adoptive mother, which would mean that she'd have told Maleficent about the baby...
Although, I honestly don't understand why didn't Ursula and Cruella keep the baby...

    ReplyDelete
  63. If Emma was pissed at her parents using Maleficent's baby as a vessel, I can't wait until she finds out that the baby is Lily and that Lily grew up without her real mother because of them... She's going to flip :D

    ReplyDelete
  64. what about Emma? it's not like she's a Fairy Tale character

    ReplyDelete
  65. No but he fate was decided in the EF ... And by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  66. That's what great about this storyline because the villains always had good in their hearts as we've seen repetidly, they just make wrong choices. And since the beginning I hoped for some more depth into Snow and Charming but their flat characterization about being good and finding each other. Now they are people with mistakes.
The irony about this storyline is that it is metafiction. We love the drama on Once like the author does. It makes my opinion on the author ambigious. I can't be angry at him for writing tragical stories that made me fall in love with the show. And that's what makes Once so special because they can place an interdiegetic narrator who is also the extradiegetic narrator. Boom!

    ReplyDelete
  67. flip's an understatement

    ReplyDelete
  68. Or they should've at least waited to let him out. Maybe, say wait for Regina's take on the matter since it was her mission to begin with. They just never plan ahead.

    ReplyDelete
  69. no leave him trapped

    ReplyDelete
  70. He certainly did manipulate Regina. I believe he probably did it before to corrupt her heart in the first place (maybe Rumple had his hands into this again). He probably gave her this misery because if the rules of heroes had applied to her she would have had her happy ending with Daniel. And yes if the author had let her run away with Robin it would have been a rather quick happy ending.

    ReplyDelete
  71. they're evil at least Ursula WAS

    ReplyDelete
  72. yeah that's true, i guess only Henry's free

    ReplyDelete
  73. Probably yes ...

    ReplyDelete
  74. I wondered about that too. They probably landed in different places. Otherwise it would make no sense.

    ReplyDelete
  75. After this episode I wonder how many times the author had changed events. Obviously he threw a wagon full of tragedies at Regina to make her story interesting. Running away with a stable boy or a thief is not as interesting as a Evil Queen. But I wonder about the others, too. - Would Red have not eaten her boyfriend? - And then we have to question how long did he do the job. Decades, centuries?

    ReplyDelete
  76. unless they just didn't care

    ReplyDelete
  77. Burning the page and killing a human being? How heroic would have that been? I would have forever resented Snow and Charming if they had done that. In comparison to the last episodes Snow was for once sensible when she told Charming that she should not betray Regina like this (again), that they can't keep on lying and that they have to do the right thing not the easiest. Their mistake was not to make sure he couldn't escape but that is typical for them: Act first, ask later.

    ReplyDelete
  78. well then just bury it somewhere nowhere to be found

    ReplyDelete
  79. wow nice questions and yeah probably

    ReplyDelete
  80. I couldn't agree anymore. Finally Snow was sensible. I wondered about her self righteousness in these last eps but today made it alright. I mean in the past she was still very self-righteous by claiming that Maleficent's child ought to be a monster. The question of being a monster is so like Shelley's Frankenstein in the sense of morality. And yes I also believe evil isn't born. The apprentice told Snow and Charming that he can transfer the potential but that they still have to lead their child and that we all have free will. So all in all Maleficent lost her child for nothing. Poor Maleficent.
So Snow in Storybrook finally understood that if they kill and deceive they are as evil as the others they claim to be villains.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Well, that was unexpected. And no, I'm not talking about Lily.

And dang it, I was right about Snow's heart with a dark spot on it. Called on it way before and I'm glad the writers went full circle on that episode with her, Regina and Cora.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I don't know. If Regina's fate is really is predestined by the author then she should have the chance that he writes it differently. Although I think the author just changed cause of events and she can get happy on heir own. But for that to know they had to ask the author. It was obvious that no good could come out of releasing him but it was like releasing the fairies from the hat. Should they kept them in just because some dark could have come out of it?

    ReplyDelete
  83. fine you win LOL, but this time there was only something dark in the page no good

    ReplyDelete
  84. sucks right? the her hearts been dark for years

    ReplyDelete
  85. :D Let's just hope they bury the quill for as long the author is out of control.

You know what I wonderes about? Where is the Apprentice? Still in the hat? Couldn't he fire the author and replace him?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Sooooo! The best episode of the season!!!!
I love that focus Snow is getting, but still can't enjoy Charming and his performance. So poor writing for him.
I'm afraid for Regina! Someone should ship Henry and Neal out of town, cause the situatiin is getting wicked.
The Author getting consumed by his storytelling and was searching for an extra edge.
Can'tvwait for next week and Zelena's return.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Actually this episode looked like a mea culpa by the Staff for all the revisionist writing so far and the fact they take turns writing episodes so in this way the Author is them and Walt Disney.

Do not see this as black and white as you put it. What if the Author was right and the Apprentice was wrong and the choosing is imagined, written and unavoidable. What if the Author wanted to be in the book so he too could come to this world and bring magic to it? Who is to say when the Black/White Candle did its damage, when she chose to not use it or when she chose to use it. Either way a person died. Either way Snow made the decision and it cost some one his/her life. Do not credit her for guessing, She may still be wrong. She did not know the Apprentice would orphan the child and note she paid the price in like with Emma, not raising her daughter.

I find the egg stealing seen odd given that some point in time David will have Maleficent swallow a golden egg filled with true love which will bring magic to a world with no magic. Funny how in that scene like in the first scene this season it will be like Maleficent and David have never met. She will not remember the golden egg or he will not remember that she is a dragon. seems unlikely if he stole her child. The crying thing was a good touch much like when Emma was sucked into the hat by the wraith and Snow jumped right in after Emma. Now we know why she did that, experience.

You really should ignore the little mermaid who made deals with darkness for legs to ensnare Eric. Is it true love if she is not her true self? The difference between a hero and a villain is not whether they will do wrong to get what they want but whether they will understand what wrong is and try and atone for their choices. Keep your eye on Rumple, he sound like he will make a big atonement soon and let the dagger find its new home. Time to pay the price of magic once more.

But first the fight for the quill: "Author Author!" , plural as in more than one or how could time keep happening without the writer to pen it? Remember Emma was in the Book as well and the quill was not. The Author is a Job,one goes down another takes over.

Oh and Yen Sid has yet to show up.Time to free the Apprentice and see what he can do about the barrier to the town Also time to see the Sorcerer is Light of Dark and Magic in all realms.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Two mortals stole an egg from dragon/powerful sorceress just like that! It was a "little" unreal. I still think they wasted Ursula's character! She could have been a great character, a stand alone for half of the season. I wonder what Cruella wants, what is her happy ending? Anyway good episode, a predictable one, but still good!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Ok awesome episode, but i was never expecting to be that guy the author i saw it from the moment we saw him with his cart but i was hoping i would be wrong.

One AWESOME Easter egg was Walt that part surprised me.

Also Lily being the daughter of Maleficent is no surprise at all.

The interesting part was at least for me the way the author can actually work his way out of the book even when he is in there.

I guess that is from me.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Unrelated question, although I do like once upon a time, do you guys think casting for pilot season over. Do you guys think they'll still be some casting left since there hasn't been much lately.

    ReplyDelete
  91. You pose some good questions, ones I am aware of but I rather am looking at it more simplistically as we yet to have seen the whole story.

I do agree with some of things you have to say :) The whole idea of the author is just fascinating and I'm intrigued by the idea, there are just so many questions that follow in the wake of his arrival.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I really hate snow white and charming right now

    ReplyDelete
  93. Great episode and I liked the Lily reveal. I had to look back at the flashback episode of Emma and Lily to remember their friendship in the foster home. Does anyone else still think that Emma could be Maleficent's daughter and Lily could be Snow and Charmings? Although I'm not certain how the switch would have happened. It's just odd that they made no attempt to make Maleficent look like LIly (it would have been easy to die Maleficent's hair black to match Lilith's or vice versa). Also, Emma is blond and Snow's hair is almost black. It might also explain why Emma has magic, seeing that neither of her parents have it.

people say Emma will stay evil forever. Too bad but she's a right to. Now I know OUAT's end full series end not season end will be painful & sad with Emma evil

  97. He never said that, his exact line was "the job has gone back eons, from the man who watched shadows dance across caved walls and developed an entire philosophy, to play writes who tell tales of poetry, to a man named Walt".

Might wanna not be a dick while you're at it. "check your hearing aid"? I don't use one. I hear coo-rella EVERY time they say it. The sound "croo" is not present at all.

    ReplyDelete
  99. No she wasn't. Go watch 405.

    ReplyDelete
  100. In that Emma literally NEVER knows when someone is lying, except when they're really, really obvious badly liars.

    ReplyDelete
  101. If you wanna play it like that... then, Yes.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Your argument is literally for racist casting. You are literally saying that racism is okay because of racism. Please stop.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Nirat, I just love it when you nail the total essence of everything I felt about the episode, saving me from writing it myself I'll just say I agree with everything you said, well said and a great episode, thank you for saying it so eloquently!!!

    ReplyDelete
  104. What is your definition of racism? Google says the following... "
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior." What you are saying is that a Latina cannot portray a white person, because she is not good enough to. I'll say it again: white actresses get cast as Latinas all the time... so should Latinas not get to pass for white people as well? I don't understand what is getting you so fired up. At the very least, let ONCE explain themselves and show the biological father before you go and call it "racism." Also, who is to say Maleficent's mom wasn't Latina?!? Maybe her dragon self has some Latina blood. Maybe, the "darkness" that was cast upon her changed up her appearance! Makes sense, Emma is as fair as it gets, maybe they are trying to symbolize the whole "light and dark" theme. LOL, what I'm trying to say is... we really don't know enough information about this. I'm white, but I could pass for Asian American, and often do get the assumption from strangers that I am. Could I pass for an Asian American in a movie? Probably. In my head, if they DENIED the actress who plays Lily the role because she WASN'T white, then that, my friend, would be reverse racism. Just my two cents.

  105. Are you confusing her? It was the same character we met prior. Her skin didn't change. I really don't know what you are referencing?

    ReplyDelete
  106. So Regina's isn't actively trying to change her destiny? It wasn't her destiny to meet robin back in the EF?

    ReplyDelete
  107. When did we see him?

    ReplyDelete
  108. And sad for their son :(

    ReplyDelete
  109. No, it's two different actors.

    ReplyDelete
  110. The episode was awesome, they are really giving us answers really soon. But why didn´t Ursula and Cruella age a single year in over 30 years?

I don't wear a hearing aid. You implying as much makes you a dick. Go ahead mods, delete my comment again.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Imagine Cruella and Ursula as foster mothers. Just imagine...

    ReplyDelete
  113. Well, We still don't know who will play Sorceror

    ReplyDelete
  114. Especially, since she said in 4x12 "Darkness on the Edge of Town": I was quite content with my life until I received this summons.

    THEY wasted Ursula's character!

    ReplyDelete
  115. No one will be the dark one. It was explained in s02e16: If the Dark One is killed without the use of the dagger, he or she will
expel the powers of the Dark One into the air after death without anyone
else being next in line to inherit it, therefore ending the curse.

  116. Meybe she didn't want to belive that Lily is Mal's daughter, just like I didn't want to belive - when season 1 was aired - that Rumplestiltskin's son was Henry's father. Many fans suspected that since s01e01.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Will you be watching the season finale of Shameless tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  118. Actually, she is since s03e22 "There's No Place Like Home". That page in book, near the end of fiale...

    ReplyDelete
  119. What you wrote match with your avatar.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Lily is latina.

    ReplyDelete
  121. So Maleficient's child is Emma's friend. Wow, I didn't see that coming. I loved the episode, it was great and very well-written. Snow and Charming flashbacks were awesome and made me hate the couple even more than before. When Charming gave that speech about redemption to Snow I was thinking:really? You took Maleficient's child and you think you are going to get redemption just by being good? This man is an idiot.

  122. You're on fire. Thank you for being sensible in this walking-on-eggshells world...

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm genuinely dazzled by the whole argument by Sara!

    ReplyDelete
  124. yes ! maybe, Lily's adoptive father is one of Cruella' husbands...loooool

    ReplyDelete
  125. I am utterly in love with this show. Long live this arc, it is amazing, this is OUAT at its very best to me. Kristin was outstanding.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Cruella's husband 4x12
    Lily's father 4x05 & 4x16

    ReplyDelete
  127. Jesus Christ...
How cheap can they get with the writing? I miss season one when they cared enough to for things to make sense.
I mean seriously. All powerful Maleficent just stood there and resorted to begging? And knocking of some rocks...
Just destroy them already... She just let them stroll off jollily towards the apprentice...

    ReplyDelete
  128. yeah but like people are thinking, maybe they don't have free will except for Henry

    ReplyDelete
  129. Emma's free too? like Henry

    ReplyDelete
  130. yeah that makes sense

    ReplyDelete
  131. http://i.imgur.com/6kxUukK.gif

    ReplyDelete
  132. yeah but that doesn't mean the Author's Walt, he was just mentioned along the cave man and play writes: these are all different people, it doesn't make them the same person

    ReplyDelete
  133. i hope so, she's been hell her entire life and before she was even BORN so she DESERVES free will

    ReplyDelete
  134. THANK YOU! i thought i was the only one that was confused that they didn't age, because August and Neal aged so how come Cruella and Ursula didn't?

    ReplyDelete
  135. Emma has magic because she's the product of True ove.

    ReplyDelete
  136. She's some sort of human garbage, who alway projects "issues" into the series that doesn't exist...

Last time "rape", this time "racism"...

    ReplyDelete
  137. EXCELLENT

    ReplyDelete
  138. You don't go on fits when they negrify roles, which unlike your BS they actually do: Rapunzel, Ursula

    ReplyDelete
  139. She's incredibly annoying. I only rarely check discussions for OUAT, but every time I see her contaminating it with her garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  140. With all this talk about The Author handing out happy endings left and right, I laughed out loud when he turned out to this shady and smug guy.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Clearly I'm not interested in talking to racists. Please go away.

    ReplyDelete
  142. There's no such thing as reverse racism.

    ReplyDelete
  143. um...please. OUAT has more rape than most shows.

    ReplyDelete
  144. No. Lily was played as a teenager by a Latina actress. She will be played as an adult by a white actress. To have her changed from a Latina character to a white character is undeniably racist white washing. So is trying to erase her ethnicity by claiming she's white.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Just your usual stating something BS without anything to back it up.
A true measure of someone full os sh*t.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Why don't you get the f.ck out here instead and keep to your group of mentally fucked zealots. Instead vomiting your delusional garbage into conversations of people worth a damn.

Or better yet flush yourself down a toilet.
Because making white characters into minorities is not racist, only if you make anything to white... You're just... So out of touch with reality with your primitive ideology.

    ReplyDelete
  147. "racism doesn't exist and arguing for it is deeply racist"
So arguing for something that's true is deeply racist because you say so?

Also, try harder to tell a slur apart from a simple term because you're the one who are throwing around slurs CONSTANTLY, because you don't have the intellect to argue.
    You're appalling.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Really?? That last part is offensive?? Really?? I really couldn't care less about the race which makes me the opposite definition of a racist, and it's offensive??

By the way, you keep on focusing that she is Latina. Yes, she is Latina, but you didn't address my main concern on your social justice fetishist drama - we do not know who the father is. After we know who the father is, and he turns out to be White, then you can make a press conference or a petition or whatever you fetishists do. FUCK! You people annoy me to no end.

    ReplyDelete
  149. She's done this before? My god, Sara, just spare us your horse crap. Just don't watch the show if it bothers you so much.

    ReplyDelete
  150. She is Latina but her complexion is more white than olive like Regina's , basically older Lilly looks nothing like her younger self.
