  1. Mr Clucks.

    That is all.

  2. Captain Swan was pretty much the most adorable thing I've ever seen. The kissing and hand holding and Emma being there for Hook, who is feeling guilty for his actions. They booth look so stupidly happy!

  3. I loved the premiere and most especially Cruella, her performance was brilliant! “Welcome to Storybooke", "Thank you Regina", “You won’t regret it", "I hope not”!!!

The scene in the library with Belle was heartbreaking, I felt so sorry for her :(
All the villains lost all they had and so Rumple recruits them, interesting.

Love Cruella, she is so sassy, “in a world where apparently walking is hard”. Glad she still had her car :) Lol, “what are you offering short stuff.” Cruella, you awesome!

Haha, “no thanks, I’d like to survive for my happy ending”, Rumples response to Drive-through, brilliant :) Never thought I’d ever picture these villains at a drive through, though I can imagine them in a McDonalds commercial.

Yay! The fairies are out of the hat! “Thank the mayor”, love Regina :) But that Chernabog came out as a accident. Cruella's powers of persuasion are very intriguing, “that’s how its done darling”.

Not surprised Rumple used the Queens of Darkness in the flashback. “If were about to walk into a trap, tells us now darling because all you are now is a cripple”, Cruella tells it like it is!

The Blue Fairy knows of the Author! But he and the Sorcerer are two different entities. I love how Regina said “I suppose we should go check who’s destroying property values this time”. The Chernabog was creepy. It’s nice how Maleficent, Cruella and Ursula worked together to stop the Chernabog even though the didn’t trust each other.

Ursula phoned up Regina, interesting phone call, they want to “prove” they’ve learnt their lesson. “Sorry dears, we have enough problems..” Lol those old flip phones.

Nice to see Snow doubting people, it’s refreshing for her character, giving them a second chance.

The Chernabog was after Emma because of her potential for evil, interesting, most be tying to the theme of what really makes a villain and what is good and evil. Interesting how Snow and Charming threatened Ursula and Cruella! I really want to know what happened in the forest!

Side Note: Victoria Smurfit favorited my tweet, I’m so happy!

  4. I am so glad the show's back because I missed it like burning! That was a great start and I already love the Queens of Darkness.

Saw that the Chernobog was after Emma so that revelation wasn't a surprise but wat at the end.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I loved it! Rumple was such a genius, and the mystery arc is so interesting

    ReplyDelete
  6. do you doubt Mary Margaret's threat? i definitely don't

    ReplyDelete
  7. I don't. She'll protect her family against all harm :)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Mary Margaret is scaring the crap out of me!!!! i never believed that The Sorcerer and The Author were the same person. I knew Chernabog was after Emma after all the teases concerning Emma's arc this season, seeing Hook guilty was refreshing. I don't doubt for a second that Henry will find The Author, that kid's no slouch when it comes to figuring things out

    ReplyDelete
  9. for me it looks like she'll protect hers and David's secret at all costs, even Emma. I mean she obviously would never hurt her but i think her secret is her main priority right now

    ReplyDelete
  10. definitely :) I'm so excited and a bit nervous as to what this secret is, they must have done some kind of deal or spell or something.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Obsessed with hope for Regina's pregnancy

    ReplyDelete
  12. Love it!!!! really want to know what secret the Charmings have with the Queen of Darkness

    ReplyDelete
  13. Rumple is the best one with or without magic ;)
that's why I rally love him!

    ReplyDelete
  14. maybe they killed someone

    ReplyDelete
  15. is Parilla pregnant?

    ReplyDelete
  16. The one liners were Great. Of Course Regina had the best one liners.
There been some mix reviews about Cruella and Ursula I think they bought their A games.
I like when characters are shady and Snow and David were very very shady.
I like that the author and sorcerer are 2 different people.
    Overall: GREAT START TO 4B

    ReplyDelete
  17. I missed why the guy that hook trapped for gold in that hat....wasn't released when the fairies were?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I thought it was a great way to start 4b off I really think this might be my favorite arc so far....

    ReplyDelete
  19. That was such a great premiere. Welcome back, OUAT! You were dearly missed.

The Queens of Darkness did not disappoint whatsoever! A lot of people feel indifferent about Cruella since at first, it seems like she was the odd one out of Ursula and Maleficent, but after this episode she really proved herself to be just as powerful as those two. Plus, her performance was probably my favorite of the episode. Can't wait to see Maleficent join Ursula and Cruella next week and see all three of them cause chaos on Storybrooke.

I immediately smiled when Cruella drove up to Mr. Clucks :) Such a nice little easter egg from LOST (still miss that show). And I'm now seriously intrigued by what the hell happened between Mary Margaret and David with Cruella and Ursula in the Enchanted Forest. Looking forward to seeing this develop and find out what they're hiding from everyone! Woah at Mary Margaret saying that she will rip their hearts out if anyone finds out, especially Emma. That was so badass because she was not messing around.

Loved seeing Emma and Regina team up and use their powers to scare away Chernobog. Can we see more of that please? And I'm really interested in this storyline of turning Emma into the dark side. Should be some nice character development.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The secret I think is she underwent fertility treatments to have Emma....ppl like to keep some things to themselves.

Haha jk. I'm dying to know!!!!!!!!! It must be big.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I am so intrigued on where this second half is going... so excited! must admit, though, hated seeing the lack of emotion in Rumple when he said he was the one who emailed Belle... like he's so blinded by power you can't even tell that he cares about her anymore. Aghhh, makes me so sad. This episode has so many great scenes and cliffhangers, though... I thought it was a great set-up for the rest of the season. I am VERY interested to see the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  22. so you're one of the ones that actually thinks there's good in that monster?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Terrific start to the back half of the season. They went all out and put a lot of character, one liners, and frankly, money, into the episode -- had to laugh at how Henry is becoming almost as tall as his "Mothers".

    ReplyDelete
  24. That was amazing! I'm in love with Cruella, Victoria did such an amazing job, once again the casting was spot on! And that ending with Snow & Charming was EPIC! It was so cool and actually kinda scary to see them like that.

The Chernobog looked fantastic but as usual wasted on just one episode. I'm glad we now have confirmation that The Sorcerer and The Author are 2 different people, I can't wait to see how that plays out.

When Hook when looking all guilty I thought he was going to go on about how he was a bad person and actually show remorse, but it was just for the fairies...all I need is guilt, remorse and apologies and I can finally like him.

I hope everyone is wrong about Regina being pregnant, I really don't think that would work. I don't think I'd like it anyway.

Maleficent & Ursula were both fantastic but Cruella was by far the highlight for me, after Zelena I said "nothing can top this", then the Snow Queen came along and was even better and again I said "nothing can top this"...but Cruella has, she's awesome :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well, I believe the whole show is about seeing the good in people, and exploring what makes villains "evil," so definitely. : ) That's not to say I have been able to stand him this season... because, he has definitely been making me mad. Belle deserves better, but I absolutely think he can and will be that "better." He's just drunk on the idea that he can have it all... what he has always wanted and is finally (so he thinks) able to obtain. In a show like this, though, I don't think there is any way he won't redeem himself. It will just take time... and a wake-up call. ha ha

    ReplyDelete
  26. how can you not laugh right? especially seeing the special before the mid-season premieire and seeing Jared in those season 1 scenes LOL

    ReplyDelete
  27. You gotta love Cruella <3

    ReplyDelete
  28. i guess it's cool to have that kind of optimism but for me he's too far gone and when we just found out that the SOB tricked Belle into releasing Chernabog, he's just digging himself more and more into unredeemable territory

    ReplyDelete
  29. When she opened the garage and they showed her car I already started picturing her in her own spinoff :P She was so wonderful!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Matthew Zamora2 March 2015 at 03:38

    Cruella is everything!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Emma's sweater reminded me of the cones that dogs wear when they're injured

    ReplyDelete
  32. yeah i like the new poll

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree. I'm very interested to see what is going to finally make him break. Even though I believe he'll become good, I think it would be nice if it took him a couple of seasons to get back to where he was with Belle. I really do want to see him earn it and be truly worthy for once, because she has done so much for him. Anyways, I guess we shall see. I'm just so excited it's back again. : D

    ReplyDelete
  34. the Belle thing skeeves me out, i honestly think it's a Stockholm Syndrome deal and not love

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love that my Rumple is back where he belongs!! Adore him!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Is it just me or did that sound like Daniel Dae Kim in the Mr. Cluck's drive-thru?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Great episode. Love this story arc altogether. What is Snow and Charming hiding?

... And why was Regina shaking after freeing the fairies?

    ReplyDelete
  38. It was...... just okay... I would have said great, but it lost points for having Chernabog and Bald Mountain in there! Looks like they are building to something else other than putting a curse on Storybrooke, which is kind of refreshing. With Doctor Who not on for another six months, and Supernatural on a hiatus at the moment, I guess I can watch this one for a while :) Now if only they would use other fairy tales rather than ripping off Disney movies, it would be a wonderful show

  39. HTGAWMRevengeOUAT2 March 2015 at 05:24

I guess I will ask here too, was revenge promoted last night

    ReplyDelete
  40. It is a good setup episode.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't think it's possible for me to ever like Ursula's fairytale costume. The ep tonight didn't really blow me away. Very predictable, but it was good setup for the story to come. Coming story looks interesting though.

Love Cruella Deville. Love her. Great dialog. "I suppose it's better than bad judgement and Gin." LOL Blue perplexed me. Her reactions were just odd. Wonder if this means she gets a real storyline this season. Hope so.

Good start. I'm really hoping I enjoy the back half of the season as much as I did the first.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Loved it!!! Awesome episode and a great way to start a new story arc. Very excited to see how everything unfolds :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. maybe it's cold out there LOL

    ReplyDelete
  44. I really enjoyed it, Honestly Regina delivered one of my favourite one liners of the entire series. "I suppose we should go out & see what's killing property values this time."Truer words have never been spoken lol. Good start

    ReplyDelete
  45. yep like in Charmed with the Grandfather Clock LOL

    ReplyDelete
  46. http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o606/lil_kel4/awesome_zps36633930.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  47. Really liked the episode. It was well layered, mysterious and had some nice twists, with Rumple being the Oxford prof and Emma being the thing the Chernobog wants.
The only stupid thing they did is not taking back the scroll from Cruella and Ursula, was a bit to naive and stupid. But apart from that it was a neat episode.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Well. I'm thinking we'll know by the next episode since Entertainment Tonight pleaded the fifth on that one. Which I kind of take to mean that they do know something about a pregnancy on the show.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hah. Yes. But probably not why.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Give it to Regina to have the best one liners. Her satisfying smile when she destroyed Snow's picture made my day. Also hats off to Victoria Smurfitt. It's amazing how she plays Cruella. It fills the spot for sassy and sexy villian that was left since the Evil Queen dropped the 'e'-word. I am still not sure what to make out of Ursula but I am very excited for this season.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The biggest revelation (for me) was that Rumple was the Oxford professor who translated the script for Belle.

    ReplyDelete
  52. He's not a fairy, the enchantment they used was to free the fairies only (and added the Chernabog to the mix to help them in)

    ReplyDelete
  53. They made a pact with them. Probably about Emma. SWan was supposed to be only a savior (brak the curse, bringing happy ending), but without powers. Her parents, SOMEHOW, gave her magic from that pact.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Awesome episode, the most interesting was Emma's dark heart, which for me is kind of strange how we wait so long for her to be dark. I mean she has been the hero from day one and now she is the villain? It doesn't sound right. And what about that author, are they gonna make him GOD or someone like this.

    ReplyDelete
  55. not that dark so probably not

    ReplyDelete
  56. how in the heck did you recognize his voice LOL

    ReplyDelete
  57. Like I said, it is only a theory. WE don't know their price, circumstances and many, many more.
Glad that now we have 10 more uninterrupted episodes to see what is all about.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yes. I practically yelled at the TV - "TAKE THE SCROLL!"

    ReplyDelete
  59. i still think they killed someone

    ReplyDelete
  60. demeteretjanus2 March 2015 at 09:40

Awesome ! Terrible and so funny ! I hope Emma gets a good insurance policy...the Dark one using a microwave to warm his noodles....oh my God, such a pleasure to see OUAT back !

    ReplyDelete
  61. demeteretjanus2 March 2015 at 09:41

    and "yellow ?"

    ReplyDelete
  62. Possible. We shall see.

    ReplyDelete
  63. right?! especially David and Mary Margaret

    ReplyDelete
  64. so that dude's still trapped? poor guy

    ReplyDelete
  65. Because he says part of the line in a Lost ep. It just sounded familiar.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh my god, yes, I nearly forgot the scene in Ursula's apartment because of the great scenes afterwards. Imagine the Dark One using a microve to heat up his Ramen and crashing on the couch of the sea goddess. :D Only Once can establish such great humor. It's fantastic!

    ReplyDelete
  67. demeteretjanus2 March 2015 at 09:57

Robert Carlyle is just AWESOME !

    ReplyDelete
  68. Right? Somehow nobody ever gets that Rumple is playing with them behind the scenes. Don't they ever learn? Cruella and Ursula called from his phone but not one of the others asked where he was. Even Regina who was a mastermind in plotting schemes did not see behind this. Maybe being a hero means celling some brain cells. :D But I still love them even if they are sometimes too naive and cause many of their problems on their own.

    ReplyDelete
  69. he says "Cluck" in Lost? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  70. I remember that too and the reason they never locked the door was so they did not need to repair it to often. :D That was a fun show till the end of s5.

    ReplyDelete
  71. it always broke, what door? and i'm guessing you're not a Paige fan?

    ReplyDelete
  72. OMG! It's still possible?

    ReplyDelete
  73. I mean I get them to certain degree, why would they work with Gold when he screwed them over? But still it was just to naive.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I remember one episode where Leo had to repair the door again and they talked about leaving the door open. Well it did make no difference because the demons broke it either way but it was nice that the show commented on it.
No, Paige was okaaaay, I did not very much like Prue so it didn't matter to me. I was a Cole and Phoebe fan, especially Cole. I did not liked what they did to that character and couldn't bear to watch the show anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  75. demeteretjanus2 March 2015 at 10:42

i liked Paige and i was so happy when Rose McGowan joined the OUAT cast !

    ReplyDelete
  76. demeteretjanus2 March 2015 at 11:11

i supposed to enjoy "Darkness on the edge of town"...

    ReplyDelete
  77. Yes. I thought it was obvoius like sun?

    ReplyDelete
  78. I was happy about that too because I knew it would fit the character. I loved her as a young Cora although I am sad that Rose McGowan's body and face are showing how many cosmetic operations she must have had. She was so much more beautiful back then when she played Charmed and was a natural beauty.

    ReplyDelete
  79. oh so you meant BOTH The Grandfather Clock AND the door broke?

    ReplyDelete
  80. demeteretjanus2 March 2015 at 11:40

obvious like a yellow car in Storybrooke !

    ReplyDelete
  81. did you see the special? they made a point to give Emma very popping colors, like her and Neal's Bug and her red jacket

    ReplyDelete
  82. Wow,almost everyone here thought it was amazing except me. There were a few good moments and of course Regina is always fantastic but i thought it was underwhelming considering they have been off for 3 months. I thought the last 10 minutes were good with a nice set up for next week..

    ReplyDelete
  83. She won't. The writers haven't spent all this time redeeming Regina for that to happen. In fact, I think Regina will actually be the counter-weight for the darkness befalling Emma. Because she's already been there, so she can help her fight it.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 12:30

thanks. Hope Regina helps Emma when she'll be evil ( cant wait for it) & Hook too. Think Regina will help? I am less worried about ratings dropping but I will still fight for s5 & s6 I wwant a full end. Do you think we'll get it? I need it!!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  85. I absolutely think Regina will help Emma. She's realised that Emma truly wants to be her friend - something Regina really needs (and Emma too for that matter). Even in today's episode, we saw Regina not wanting to bring Emma down with her as the Chernobog chased them so she poofed out of the car to get Emma out of harms way thinking that it was after her.

Don't think Emma will go full evil - but she'll struggle with it - somehow.

Hmmm. I do think, we'll get a season 5 - not sure about a season 6 ... Depends on whether the stories keep holding up - and the actors want to keep going. I mean isn't it standard for them to be on a 5 year contract for any given show when they sign up for the first season ... I believe so.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I still don't get why Regina was shaking so much after releasing the fairies from the hat ...
She's used to handling the dagger and used to casting spells ...

    ReplyDelete
  87. Another LOSTie yay for Daniel having having a voice over role at Mr Cluck's :D

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yes I did. It was soooooo amazing. I want to watch it again .

    ReplyDelete
  89. My take was that that lack of emotion was all show. He has a lot of experience doing that, remember. He spent years manipulating situations so he could get back to his son and hiding that emotion from everyone except Belle for a long time. There's also the consideration that he didn't want to show Cruella and Ursula that he had a weakness.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Preach it. Though personally I don't want him to become good, it'll be enough if he ceases being an Evil Douchecanoe. Anti-hero territory would work just fine imo.

    ReplyDelete
  91. He did tell them. Belle and Hook talked about him. It was strange that no one seemed to care when he didn't come out of the hat, though.

    ReplyDelete
  92. is knave in the show or is he out, because I still dont understand why was he in previous part of this season...

    ReplyDelete
  93. Could be pregnancy...

    ReplyDelete
  94. Absolutely loved it. Emma and Regina´s scenes were awesome, they really have become friends. I gotta agree with u, I wouldn´t have let Rumplein after what he did. Snow´s secret must be a huge one bc Snow White saying: I´ll rip out your hearts myself, she´s never said that before. I´m really interested in Emma´s storyline going to the dark side, should be very interesting. And the CGI for the monster was a little lame, don´t u guys think? Overall an awesome premiere, one of my favourite episdoes of the series and the season.

    ReplyDelete
  95. He says "Have a cluckity cluck-cluck day" in a Hurley dream sequence in S2.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I guess. Or maybe she just feels all the dark power of the dagger and does everything she can to fight it ...

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hook standing up for his fellow misogynist there wasn't a good look. Neither was him comparing his situation of being violent trash to Belle's as an abuse victim. Take some responsibility, Hook.
Likewise Rumple is so gross. I already feel bad for the Queens of Darkness. I do wonder which one he'll murder though. Considering he's already betrayed them a few times. Poor Belle, Rumple is only ever gonna hurt her

Cruella is really perfect in every way. I love the smarm and accent, the car and the style. Victoria Smurfit is playing the role in exactly the right way for entertainment but calling up Glenn Close and the Disney movie as well. The costuming is also fun. I like how Ursula's jacket looked like scales. I thought that was really cool.

I wish the storybook wasn't such a terrible storyline. Or at least was a storyline they thought about first. I mean, they've basically set up that the entire storybook is about Regina from start to finish, even though the canon of the show goes back centuries. Then having Rumple state it's about the author seems a little strange, considering they haven't found a book about his story. It's just...the writers really should play within their own continuity, if at least to make it seem like they care.

I am really pleased that OUAT has finally understood what I wanted from the story. Don't care about the blandly traditional love stories, I wanted fairytale characters going through the drive through and sniping at each other.

"That bitch is crazy. If she wasn't great in bed..." - Ursula about Cruela, probably.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Emma's done some pretty messed up things so it's not out of the realm of possibility. It's just strange that they're trying to make her super special again despite the entire point of the shattered sight curse only a few episodes ago was that everyone has darkness within them.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Actually i don't think that they are trying that. Yes everybody has darkness within them, but her being special is not really the point that i'm seeing. I think they are showing (which by the way is a funny thing) that "With great power, comes great responsibility.".

    ReplyDelete
  100. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 18:53

thanks. I want a full end I beg we'll get it. & I want Rumbelle back. Do you think we can get a full end?

    ReplyDelete
  101. If by "full end" you mean closure and not ending it on a cliffhanger, then yes, I think so. As far as I know, the writers already know how they want to end the show. That's not very common. On most shows, they just keep making stuff up without any real destination. So I do believe A&E will end OUAT as it deserves - happily ever after for all of us.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 19:58

thanks hope we will get to see it & no cancellations I fear that so much T_T

    ReplyDelete
  103. Well. OUAT's pretty solid. Ratings are good against heavy competition on a Sunday, so I wouldn't worry too much just yet. But I understand. OUAT's my favourite, too :-)

    ReplyDelete
  104. HTGAWMRevengeOUAT2 March 2015 at 20:31

    It was beyond awesome

    ReplyDelete
  105. Great episode. What a normal rare daily storybrooke life it was lol.
Lovely little Belle and Hook scene. I like how Hook was guilty over the fairies even after they were out. And nice team work of Emma and Regina.
And I loved how comfortable and content Emma and Hook are their casual and tender touches and intimacy says alot. #CaptainSwan
Ursula and Cruella make me laugh lol

    ReplyDelete
  106. I love the comforableness and tenderness that has progressed. And yes the emotional support there and believe in each other.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Nicolás Caballero Mühlbach2 March 2015 at 22:27

So you turn the ultimate evil from Disney mythos to a monster of the week? CONGRATS OUAT you did it again......

    ReplyDelete
  108. great episode, the only thing i can think about snow/charming secret that would hurt emma is that maybe snow/charming was going to sacrifice there unborn daughter, or give QOD emma, for something, that or QOD made a deal with, or cursed Snow/Charming child's, child, Henry.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Cruella stole the episode. She was beyond amazing!!! I expected more of Ursula. I mean it can't be that she doesn't have any power than her tentacles.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I like the polldaddy polls better.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Ooh, very true. I like this point. I think, in his warped mind right now... his happy ending is having everything: power, no fear, and Belle. Because, every time he has been happy... something has gone wrong, it's been a trick, or something gets taken from him (i.e. Milah, Bae, and being tricked into being the Dark One). I think he is so insecure of "happiness" and what that actually is... that he feels he needs to be in complete control of everything and everyone for everything to be okay. He loves Belle, though. There's no doubt in my mind. She brings out the good in him, and will be the reason he turns good for good. It'll just be a little painful (for me at least) until then. ha ha

    ReplyDelete
  112. omg as soon as I saw emma going to see hook I just smiled and couldn't stop they are the best couple in my opinion

    ReplyDelete
  113. May I borrow "Evil Douchecanoe" it's awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  114. He is a fundamentally flawed character. For some reason, my preference is that Gold struggles with his redemption; has successes and failures and fake outs while Regina struggles but makes the better (aka right) choices and with each choice is rewarded and achieves her redemption. I think it's because Regina's evil was more affected by outside forces (her mother for example) and Gold's is because of his own character weakness.

    ReplyDelete
  115. yep especially since The Apprentice knows The Sorcerer

    ReplyDelete
  116. yeah it's really cool

    ReplyDelete
  117. Thought the episode lacked urgency as in they let 6 weeks pass and just assumed no one would feel a disconnect between 4A and 4B

Let's see, Rumple is kicked out of town and ends up in New York, having only the money in his pockets to pay for bus fare and hoping his tie will stay where it is for 6 weeks.

Robin has not been hear d from in those 6 weeks.

Regina is inexplicably mayor and Mary Margaret is now teaching High School. The barrier is still up but suddenly the scroll works as a key, no reason but it works. Also no reason how it trumps the dagger and lets Rumple in town when he was commanded to leave the town. That command was not resended.

Cruella who has never been in Storybrooke is some how in Long Island and has her car with her. How?

They rescue the Faeries and set lose the Chernabog. How? Who put him in the hat? and How did Rumple know he was in there?

What's more who created the curse if not Rumple? This is a big disconnect.

The fact the Blue now tells Regina about the Author not being the Sorcerer is an even bigger disconnect as Blue told Rumple she did not know of a Mage with such powers as the Sorcerer.

I know they will simply fill in the blanks with flashbacks but it is a point that right now the show has hole in it that are worse than on Oz where the show picks up right where it leaves off and shows you the holes coming.

Again simply not seeing a feel of urgency to this story.

  118. Ursula should be fat. It doesn't make sense to me for this actress to play Ursula. That bugs me, a lot. Other than that it was an ok episode. Lots of set up.

If I were a betting person, my bet would be that the Dark Curse was created by the Sorcerer, the Author, or a previous Dark One.

  120. Why?... Why would you create a curse to take away everyone's happiness but your own at the cost of that which you love most which takes you to another place when you can simply find a portal?...It seems a rather specific curse for a rather specific person's needs and desire... Why would the Sorcerer who protect his hat from Dark magic create a curse that is dark magic especially since he can create all the portals he wants?... Why would an author who can alter destiny in a book waste time witha curse that would have to be written in that book? Seems a bit redundant. No no as all the secrets of the Dark One are passed on once you get the dagger, big book seen in season 3B. Look at Blue and Rumple and you will see clues there as to a better answer but the point is the show just messed up a central point of the show, namely this story is all personal, Rumple was supposed to have spent decades gather magic and knowledge to craft a curse that would take him to a realm of his chosing at the cost of that he loved most, a price he assumes Regina will pay as he refuses to sacrifice anything and yet he has. The Curse seems made specifically for him and his grand design of the future. Which brings one to the a forgotten suspect for who the author could be, the seer, Rumple got his power of sight from.Perhaps she was once more powerful and needed a way to keep track of things. A book. Not a full thought but possible. But creating a curse such as this requires a twisted individual, one who sees right and wrong as more than good or bad, evil or wicked, dark or light. It is a curse only a sado-masochist would create.

Perhaps the creator didn't need/intend to use it themself? If it were the Author, I could see them wanting Rumple to use it to fulfill his destiny.

  122. Queen Latifah or Yvette Nicole Brown would be great, but we only saw 2 episodes with Dungey, so, let's give her a chance.

Besides, maybe they tried to avoid this:

  123. "scroll works as a key". For Ingrod worked, in flashback from year 2001 (s04e10 "Shattered Sight").

  124. Sometimes we create thing and throw them away. Nobel ACCIDENTALLY invented dynamite? Simple explanation.

  125. Scroll works as a locator spell, 4X09. Note Ingrid finds Emma years before she finds Storybrooke. At the time Ingrid arrives the protection spell only kept people from this realm from seeing the town. She did not need the scroll to walk in. But even if we assume it let her in which is huge assumption being as Emma and August road in no problem, that does not make the scroll a skeleton key on all barriers.

  126. She need to watch at the scroll, just like Cruella and Ursula, to enter the town. Rewatch episode, please.

  127. Did you watch the episode I spoke of? The scene where Ingrid is handed the scroll and told it would lead her to Emma when the time was right. It is very specific as to what the scroll does. The bit about looking at the scroll is pure conjecture that the writers introduced in this episode to explain how they get past the barrier without destroying Snow's Curse.( a curse missing the items used in the first version) In 4X11 they flashback to 4x9 and repeat the the tracking power of the scroll. Yes, Ingrid looks at the scroll before she sees the town but Ingrid is standing on main street as she does so. She is not crossing through a barrier. The scene has her already through the barrier while reading the scroll. And as I have tried to tell you the scroll is leading Ingrid to Emma, not the town. When Emma was in the orphanage, Ingrid is lead there. That is the only way Ingrid could find Emma before Storybrooke. What we have here is a case of suggestive reasoning but the events do not agree with the past. This whole problem is undoing the fiction of seasons 1-3B. When a witch or wizard dies the spells they use tend to end. In three they showed with Zelena that a last spell will still happen. However, they showed in season 2 and 3 when a curse is destroyed the magic and the barriers are removed. That is what happened after Emma kissed Henry and what happened after Regina tore up the dark scroll. and after Zelena was dead and the flying monkeys turned human once more. The barrier spells had to be put back up. Note: however in Season 1 Emma and August drove through a barrier no problem. That barrier was put up back when Owen Flynn came to town and Regina made it so no one could come back. Remember Owen and his father were in town, meaning you do not have to be magical to find or see Storybrooke, hence the need for a barrier. It is not until Rumple leaves for Neverland in Season 2 that he has Belle restore the barrier destroyed by Emma's kiss, which is how Greg, Tamara, Hook, Cora and the Darlings all find the town. It is then revealed in Neverland that sea creatures like Mermaids can cross through realms and avoid barriers as they stop at surface levels which is how Ariel reached Storybrooke and returns with Pandora's Box. Ursula should likewise have had no problem reaching the town. Like I said Zelena's last spell was carried out but her monkey barrier died with her and so too should Ingrid's barrier have died with her. You can see by Rumple's behavior the original barrier has no effects at all as he still has his memories. One more time, is nothing more than a locator spell to finding Emma it should not have been needed nor should it work on a barrier that should not even still exist. Ingrid destroyed her curse, The Ice wall only stayed up because Elsa created it to begin with and Elsa took that down. Seriously wish I could post video links but if you examine what I have written and listen to what is said you will find I am right and this is a writer's mistake on their part.

  128. She need to watch at the scroll, just like Cruella and Ursula, to enter the town. Then, it lead her to Emma.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Wrong. That is never stated and by the time she reads the scroll she is in the center of town. The scroll has nothing to do with the barrier or seeing the town.

  130. No dearie. She need to watch at the scroll, then, she was in town. Rewatch episode.

  131. Will Scarlet is still in town. First half was only to introduce him.

  132. Dearie. It was stated in s04e12 "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" that this is the key to enter the town.

    ReplyDelete
  133. That is the last episode and what is stated is that in Emma's imagination the scroll brought Ingrid to town therefore it may let people in town because that is the best guess Emma has. She is guessing a lot these days. She guessed the force field existed having no idea that Ingrid set up a field to go with the ice wall and the curse, but the curse was destroyed so the force field should have been as well as it was part of the curse like all others have been. You can keep butting your head against a brick wall but 4X12 is illogical and breaks with the shows of the past to create a fake key to a problem that should not exist. This is like the bit of the time travelling. Zelena is dead and yet they tell you her last spell lives on in spite the fact she never finished the ceremony. Sometimes writers write complete nonsense and this is one of those times. If you watched the preshow to 4X12 you heard them say they only have 8 days to get the show in the can and so they make cuts and change things up. Perhaps in their editing they errantly make a hole or two: this is one of them. The only plausible way the field is still up is if Emma is powering it and does not know that she is because of the ribbon magic tying her to Ingrid. The ribbon is gone but the magic remains. The scroll is enchanted because Emma wants it to be and no other reason. This is all supposition but like I said the barrier should not exist as Ingrid is dead and so too is her curse. Maybe in the future, time permitting, the show will explain the barrier and the scroll, but for now it is all nonsense. It is a bad device to divide the light from the dark and set up the 4B mini arc with two villains that make no sense existing as they should not be in this realm as no one brought them. Ooh an now poof magically Rumple never wrote the curse he spent years crafting, that too makes no sense as the curse seems designed to fit his needs and only his needs to take him to this specific world where Baelfire traveled at the cost of that which he loved most,(the dagger), which he would not sacrifice so he employed Regina to avoid paying the full price of his desire. I left this as something to ponder, not something to perplex people. It should have been something to look forward too and not something to try and discard but people see a half empty glass as a problem while I see it as a work in progress and look to see who comes to the glass. I am sure if the time comes the show want to fix it's holes it will, most likely n flashbacks or with some new construct. We'll see.
