POLL : What did you think of The Last Man on Earth - Double Episode Premiere?

  1. First episode was okay. It had some funny bits, but most of it was just Will Forte sulking. I'd expected it, but it still wasn't all that funny outside of the obvious Cast Away jokes. But the twist that comes in the end, especially with who's involved in it instantly perks this show up. It sadly won't get a Season 2, but I'll probably enjoy most of this series.

  3. Yeah, I just didn't say it because spoilers. But I guess cat's out of the bag now.

  4. Is this a min series or is it trying to be a full fledged series?

  5. I enjoyed it but it really hit its stride in the second episode. It also is surprisingly emotional.

  7. Didn't like it at all. Mostly because within 10 seconds of the show's beginning, my suspension of belief had failed...where/how did he ever get gas? Have you ever tried to pump gas when there is no power; it doesn't work AT ALL!

  8. Just felt like one of those awkwardly pointless and short on laughs SNL sketches that doesn't know how or when to end. Sure this show is different but different doesn't always equate to good or compelling television with Forte alone or with the other last people on earth he is destined to meet.in upcoming episodes. High concept stuff like this has a very limited audience appeal beyond some curious premiere viewers. Obviously FOX doesn't have high expectations, either debuting this after a "no-football-deflated" Brooklyn-99

  10. Great premiere. Favorite part was the first 18 minutes or so, and I really loved the balance between the funny and the sad. Kristen Schaal's character intro could've been saved for a little down the line, but I still liked her interactions with Phil.

  11. The first episode seemed to be one joke repeated enough times that it was wearing thin within 20 minutes. The second episode got more interesting with the interaction with the girl. Even so, I don't see where this can go long term. It would be much better if this has been sold as a one-season (or even a 6-week) series where it was being written with a beginning, a middle and everything working toward a conclusion.

I was just about to turn it off after the first episode, but the addition of the girl in the second episode made me watch the rest of the hour. I'm kind of bored, but if nothing else is on against it, I may tune in next week.just to see if they come up with any other surprise in the third episode. If not, that will be my last time. I look for a quick cancellation.

  12. Yea, no... comedy in this setting is just feels weird.

Also the title says one thing and a list of cast says another. I got my answer I'm out. I need story not laughter.

  13. Siphon it from other cars.

  14. Which begs the question...Would you really want humanity to surivive, if those two were to be its progenitors?

  15. No, it's an actual series.

  16. So when does January Jones show up?

I actually thought it was really good, especially the second episode. I will definitely be watching this show.

  18. I don't understand the girl. Is she real or is he sooo lonely that he went crazy and made her up?

I guess I'm the only one who found the girl annoying

  20. I can't help but think this would have been a better fit for FX.
