  3. Fun though, nothing much about the actual plot of the episode....

  4. So true. I wish there was more focus on creating an overarching storyline instead of setting up the procedural.
Hopefully David Anders would solve that ..

  5. Right. Now that the series has begun I hope the CW stops with the "hey everybody, I'm a zombie" ads and focuses on episode content.

  6. Fingers crossed that will be the case from episode 3 onwards...

  7. I'm actually a fan of the "procedural with serialized overarching story" elements approach, and I think the show has the chops to pull that style off. They handled both narrative streams well in the pilot, and I have faith that this creative team can maintain a balance between procedural and supernatural dramedy.

However I do mind that for the second episode the only information we got about the episode is... nothing about the episode... it was the same "Look at me! I'm a zombie!!!" type promo we've been getting all year...

  8. Problem is too them Zombie stuff is a more attractive incentive. Forgetting that many, many people think the genre is played out.

  9. That kind of jaded viewer isn't going to be the viewer inclined to give this show a try anyway.

  10. I'm definitely one who doesn't care for yet another zombie-related show. This show has having Rob and casting David Anders to thank myself to giving it a shot!
