...I can totally see JP pitching Vampire Academy to The CW after The Vampire Diaries ends its run (probably next season).

I don't see Flowers In The Attic happening for a while though. Lifetime currently has a movie series adapting the novels and I believe the 3rd comes out this year and the 4th next year.

  2. Instead of Vampires, change it to WItches, chamans and supernanural creatures and go for Beautiful Creatures instead. An epic love story just like Julie likes.

    Oooh this!
We need a good witch show on TV again!

  5. Are we quite sure Julie isn't a vampire herself? This is getting creepy and a little tiresome.

  6. Maybe Julie should do this now and leave TVD & TO.

  7. The 3rd and 4th movies are both coming out this year on the 5th and 12th of April. They haven't decided if they'll do the prequel yet so Julie could do her version pretty soon if she wanted.

  8. Plot Twist-Julie IS a Vampire, she's sucking the life out of every show she does!

  12. My friends and I were talking about my weird obsession with Flowers in the Attic on Thursday and I jokingly said "they should make a TV series out of it"...Julie has ears everywhere.

  13. She needs to go,PERIOD!
I am not a hateful person at all but she brings out the worst in me!I can't take her & caroline dries and their "organic" writing anymore!

While it's true FITA would have worked better as a miniseries, I still enjoyed the movies. That being said, I don't want her anywhere near them.

ohhh god i love VA but her attached oww but im insane enough to say yes it better have the movie cast and that movie writer far far away

  16. I still love it but not so much like those earlier seasons. My chore watch list-SPN-only god knows why am i still watching that show till date!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. LOL of course she's interested...

  18. I thought s3 of AHS would inspire more shows about witches. I do love a good witch story.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm sure the magical baby and the mystical werewolf wedding-ritual ceremony came out of her genius head,Michael is not capable of that kind of "organic" storytelling,it's almost Breaking Bad level genius!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Nah, mate, Carina MacKenzie. Most werewolf heavy episodes were written by her.

  21. Im cackling so loud at her tweeting this as someone on twitter posted abt a month ago that soon she will say that she is writing something for Flowers in the Attic...welll played Julie..well played.

    ReplyDelete
  22. exactly. Im waiting for someone to be brave enough to take those books. They are really good, and the love story is sweet and maybe too sweet that sometimes you want to throw up but the mithological part of that world and how is conformed is really good. You see a different kind of witch, everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow,another genius writer.Yippie!

  24. Perfect description of SPN.What's your best episode of TVD this season till date-mine is 6.08 & 6.16.

  25. YES. SO MUCH YES.

The Beautiful Creatures books are my favorite YA series. The movie took a big, massive shit on them. It's somewhat watchable but more frustrating because it dropped the ball so many times. UGH. Not over it. But yes. BC needs to be a series... but I'd prefer it to be on something like Netflix. They could do four seasons, one for each book. And there were enough interesting side characters that they could expand it a bit to make the story more suited for TV. And then if it's popular enough I'd love to see a Dangerous Creatures spin-off. Ah...one can dream.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well. Surely she couldn't make Vampire Academy any worse than that movie. Which was one of the worst big studio films I have *ever* seen. And I didn't even read the books until later.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Maybe she should focus on her current shows

    ReplyDelete
  28. you know im loving the Dangerous creatures mre than i like BC. Dangerous Creatures was awesome. The banter between teh characters and everything made it more complete than BC. I would love to see those in whatever can be made some day

  29. I enjoyed several episodes but the ones that truly touched me were 14 and 15. Episode 15 in particular because it was real and emotional and it touched me personally. The thing I loved the most about the show in the early seasos was that it had heart. It's a show about vampires but it dealt with human emotions in a very beautiful way. And that episode was a reminder of that. It wasn't about vampires and witches and love triangles. It was about a daughter saying goodbye to her parent. I'm surprised to say this but Damon had the best line the show delivered in a long time "Hey, Blondie. Today isn't the worst day of your life. Today and tomorrow, it's a cakewalk. There'll be people around you day in and day out like they're afraid to leave you alone. The worst day? That's next week when there's nothing but quiet. Just a heads up." I liked 16 a lot too. It was fun seeing that part of Caroline.

  30. I still like The Vampire Diaries and The Originals but I don't really think another vampire show is needed.

Me too...that was a great show with a great cast!!! Still puzzled why they cancelled it???

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh God! Someone needs to stop her.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Rheinmeister09 .21 March 2015 at 22:55

Agreed and it makes me worry when I see her attached to any of Greg Berlantis shows. Kiss of death!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Actually, both those book series would make awesome TV-series.

The FitA movies are alright but the VA movie was.. not that great. The world in those books is too complicated and big to explain in one movie and would work better as a TV-series IMO.

I don't see it ever happening though. Vampires are over.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would love to see Vampire Academy in tv but not with Julie Plec on board. The movie was awful but I'm terrified that she would be able to do it even worse.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ew Isn't flowers in the attic the one with incest in it?

    ReplyDelete
  37. The current Dollanganger saga is already in itself a miniseries of sorts so I'll take this over Julie Plec's idea of a what she thinks is a "miniseries" where there's no real guarantee of continuing.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I feel like if she did another Vampire show, she'd be betraying us. Hahaha (more than she already has) Idk that's just how i feel about it. I don't want her to touch this.

    ReplyDelete
  39. LEAVE VAMPIRE ACADEMY ALONE! Sorry for the caps, but after seeing what Plec and Dries have turned Vampire Diaries into (a ridiculous soap opera without any substance), I can't bare to watch her do the same to one of my favorite books.

    ReplyDelete
  40. How will vampire academy work, its already a movie. Wont this effect making future movies.

Plec is better trying to do a witch show, not another vampire tv show.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh god no. I'm all for a Vampire Academy tv show but if Julie Plec is the show runner I rather have then leave the books alone. Seeing what she did to Vampire Diaries, I really don't need her to destroy Vampire Academy too. The series are too good for that.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Low ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  43. the first movie wa sa total flop, theew wont be anymore movies.

    ReplyDelete
  44. especially since that movie has statutory rape, The 100 has that and The Originals got a little close to it, we still don't know how old Kaleb is

    ReplyDelete
  45. It was still kinda unexpected considering Lifetime was rebuilding its scripted slate. I'd understand them not bringing back The Lottery because it was a freshman show that bombed and with that and Drop Dead Diva ending that same year, it would have left some available leg room for Witches and the next batch of new shows airing this year.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh my god... After what she did to the Vampire Diaries? Just NO. Leave VA alone, you crazy woman!

    ReplyDelete
  47. you know I was hoping that it would as well... I love vamp.... werewolf and witch tv

    ReplyDelete
  48. I really wish someone would bring back kindred the embraced
now that was one hell of a show...

    ReplyDelete
  49. because lifetime sucks... that's why

    ReplyDelete
  50. yeah let someone else take over... and let someone do this new thing... as well
because they just out right suck
    I agree with you...

    ReplyDelete
  51. I can take more as long as she's not writing it... that woman is the worst..

    ReplyDelete
  52. I love vampire shows but two Julie shows are more than enough.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Nothing will be right with the world with JP thinking she can tell stories and do adaptations any sort of justice...

    ReplyDelete
  54. "I can totally see JP pitching Vampire Academy to The CW after The Vampire Diaries ends its run (probably next season)"

This is so sad and true...
