Am I the only one Who thought scandal was hugely boring and the acting was bad

  2. Everytime there's a long title on the list of shows, I can't scroll enough to the right to see the ratings on my cell phone (Windows phone). Is there a way to solve this problem?

Ouch at Reign adjusting to under a million total viewers, not that Viewrs matters but still thats bad.

  4. A new series low for TVD - if even Ian's fans can't save the show, who can?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Only better writing can do that.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Not at all.
Guillermo Diaz (Huck) nailed it IMO.

  7. At least Scandal adjusted up :)

  8. But only 300'000 viewers less than TVD and two tenth, also tied The 100 (sadly. deserved so much more), and it was preempted for College basketball! I'm just glad it stayed at the 0.4! I hope it manages to get these ratings throughout the season, maybe the buzz with Elizabeth, it could hit a 0.5 (would only need 0.45) for the season finale, which would be amazing, but not very realistic!

Yeah I heard Reign was preempted

  10. Actually, they have season 4 to write better. And they blew it. Now it's too late, and people won't come back. Plus, I was delena fan once, so I should probably like the show now even more when they are together. But I don't. I stopped watching for good few episodes ago. Why? Because no other show destroy my favorite pairing by terrible writing like writers of tvd did. It's just awful, I literally can't stand them.

  11. Ouch TVD....Maybe its because of the hiatus return?Ot maybe those viewers that ware pissed off by the storyline(s) arent willing to come back?Oh Reign,,what the hell?

I meant scott foley. In that scene where they were trying to Find out who Diego muñaz was.

  13. Sigh, I hope they don't blame Ian for this, it's terribly unfair to him and the amazing work he's done with this episode of TVD :(

    ReplyDelete
  14. Why would they blame Ian?

    ReplyDelete
  15. He directed. I doubt that they would hold it against him, and it would make no sense if they did because it's been headed this way for a while and I don't think it's because everyone slowly stopped watching months ago in anticipation of his big debut; but that's gotta sting - first time directing, and your show gets a series low. That sucks, dude. I actually really enjoyed the last shot of the episode, too. Cool bit of tracking with the phone and then to the wide shot, and the composition at the end was nice.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh that explains a lot, I did notice differences alright. Like that shot of Caroline on the bar but she looked like a silhouette the way the light was, I loved that shot. Ian should direct more often I really loved it :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Exactly :( It's especially ironic given how brilliant his directional style actually is...

I hope there will at least be more reviews like this one http://www.etonline.com/tv/160986_vampire_diaries_ian_somerhalder_s_brilliant_directorial_debut_will_leave_you_speechless/

    ReplyDelete
  18. It went below 2 million viewers last year at this time after Katherine died. Dam next year around this time it could be gossip girl lows.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah I've never really liked his character so whenever he talks I'm like "ughhh boring." lol

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised. Most of the time, when actors direct on their own TV show, unless it's something they already do somewhat regularly, it mostly either looks the same as usual or slightly more awkward. There of course some normal episode uniformity to it, but he clearly experimented with some of his shots, especially at the rave and in the bar, and for the most part they worked. I enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I have to agree it was overall a great episode. Diaz is a great actor so underrated.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm not ready to commit to "brilliant," but he's definitely got a good eye and good instincts, especially since I'm not sure how much experience he's had. I hope he has the opportunity to direct again and expand his abilities in that area. He did very well.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Experience? LOL, none. That's kind of one of my point - this was his first time directing, ever. So yes, I would say he has some crazy talent...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Other sites show that Elementary was adjusted down a tenth to 1.4 ?

    ReplyDelete
  25. TVD and its series low's title.

    Oh, the irony.

    ReplyDelete
  26. No. Scandal is fading fast. The stories are so far fetched. Not enough Mellie and Cyrus's husband James getting killed off ruined it for me. Too sad.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I saw the first and Second episode of American Crime and i'll say this... i give ABC props for trying their hands at a very dark and edgy cable styled drama but im just not seeing the critical emmy award praise. the Emmy buzz feels almost manufactured. I will say though that Felicty Huffman give a damn good performance, i'll give the show that one. But i don't think im going to continue watching though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "Crazy talent" is right! Ian put his stamp on The Downward Spiral in so many wonderful ways. Just one example is the scene with Caroline sitting on the bar - that showed originality and genius. IMO he took to directing like a duck to water! I have to believe that TPTB recognize his talent and are not dissatisfied with him. I know ratings are important but f*** it, the man did good!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Agreed with Every. Single. Word.
And that scene with Caroline sitting on the bar took my breath away... I can see hell of career in directing for Ian.

You're right, f the ratings, they are random and more about the stupid hiatus anyway... If they don't recognize his talent after this, they are just against themselves, really...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah they did a horrible job bringing Elena and Damon together. Pure lazy writing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The episode was amazing. Ian did great and a lot if fans loved the episode. Seeing good bus all around. Honestly I think ikr was the long hiatus that did it. And apparently there was some game on that kept people from watching. Like ikr interfered with their station or something. So yeah, it sucks, but it had nothing to do with the episode or Ian's debut.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The Odd Couple... Doing good? I'm gonna keep watching but it hasn't really been good at all IMO, but then again I disliked Mom in it's first season and nowadays I like it...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree with part of what your say'n.... Ian did do a good job, of course he was the first to admit he had a good director leaning over his shoulder....Still thumbs up

Where I do see a problem is this ep was the first back after a long hiatus....historically a boost in ratings, because fans can't wait to have it back...

It would be stupid to blame the series low number on Ian's directing....I think a good indicator of where this is going will be Thur nights ratings.....Will we get a 4 th bad number in a row? You know I dislike DE as a couple, to quote Damon they just don't work...The writers made an adjustment over the hiatus, I think they realize what they thought was a "golden goose" is laying eggs for sure. :)))

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't blame, nor would I ever blame, his DD for low ratings. I feel very bad for him, I hope he didn't take it personally. To have your debut then get low ratings. I highly think it was the hiatus. B/c people were waiting sooo long and eventually say screw it, I have DVR, I'll watch it later. We some fans have to wait that long, they do get impatient and lose interest with watching it live. So I hope the ones that didn't, have now caught up and will tune in for next week.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't think Ian will take the viewer number personally.... like I said it in no way reflects on the outstanding effort he made.... I do disagree with you about the DVR stuff, because when they adjusted the over night number it went down 30 thousand..... Ian has it right TVD needs to get back to it's core of S1 & 2...
The Eonline poll for best couple of 2015 going on right now has Steroline going to the final.... Although I prefer them as just friends, there seems to be a lot of interest in their SL right now... It would have been interesting if Bamon rather than DE was in the poll.

I expect this weeks number to be a bit better, because the last episode was solid.

    ReplyDelete
  36. TBH, I feel this season has been great. Wayyy better than last season, and Kai, is just...god I love him. Lol I think this/him is the best season since season 3. (I somewhat enjoyed season 4, season 5, Katherine ruined half of it for me) . Sadly on the poll, i think i heard Ichabbie won. Which even though, they're my otp, i didn't want them to win. I was very much rooting for Steroline. (My second favorite couple becoming my main focus as far as couples are concerned for this season. They're so much fun right now. Gah! Ok sorry, fangirling.) Plus Sleepy Hollow may not even get another season, so any chance of them ever becoming a couple, well just went out the window. = / So yeah that's pretty disappointing for me. But w/e. I'm sorry, you already know who my otp is with TVD. So if there was a poll for Bamon, i would not vote. No offense.

"I expect this week's number to be a bit better b/c the last episode was solid." Oh i highly agree.

    ReplyDelete
  37. nope just checked..... the final is CS / Steroline....

I watched all of SH, too. They took so long putting them together.... everyone I know was rooting for Ichabbie on the show, maybe they'll get one more season...
DE didn't make it out of the 16, but they were up against competition.... No biggie either way, it's just who wants to get the sorest fingers cliclking.... I wish they'd move to a one vote a day format, but I know they won't.... they use the poll thing to gin up hits to get advertising.... lol
Fan girl all you want....I don't mind at all. lol

    ReplyDelete
  38. Seriously? Are you messing with me? Do you know the result? Were they high? Lmaoooo. I'm happy now. Can't you tell? Lol...As for SH. Sigh...2 more months til we find out. I really can't see SH not being on my screen (when The Following ends) in the fall. And given the last episode we got, and the info we've received since,I really don't think they'll screw up as royally as they did for this season, that's if of course they actually do get another season. = / Ohhhh nooo, idt you know what you're saying. Lol When I fangirl it's not pretty. Lol (it's hysterical so i've been told. Lol) Believe me, when it's time to fangirl, you'll see me. = )

    ReplyDelete
  39. Of course I'd mess with ya, but not on this. lol SC was ten points up when I quit voting..... I'd give ya the link, but auto bot would burn me/it.... you know where to find it.... CS was a walk. They've taken down the percentages but look under news and scroll to comments.
I've seen a bit of your fangirling on VDnet. lol...You do have a flare.
We'll catch up again, girl ;))

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hahahaha. Nah that's cool. I trust you. I'll just go with it. If they won, then yeah! lol For some reason i couldn't vote, or at least idt i did. Like i'd see the rounds, who was in the running, and i'd be able to see the percentages. But when it came to voting, i didn't see anything that said, "vote here." sooo idk? But w/e. Hahahaha "flare" yeah that's a way to put it. Awwww VDnet. the good ole days. = ) TTYL.

    ReplyDelete
  41. BTW, I'm a SH fan, too..... Really hope they get the nod for 3.... Why the HE double hockey sticks to a lot of the series fumble the ball on S2? They screwed around way toooo long with the Katrina stuff, they should have taken her dark way sooner and killed Henry at the same time. lol Ichabod/Abbie are so great together.... I love how he calls her "Left-tenet"... Abbie's got serious back. OGM.... later ;))
