  1. Looks like all we need here is bring in Mark Burnett and his band of sharks and this pitching session will turn out to become an episode of Shark Tank.

Hopefully things work out for everyone.

  2. I will probably watch if it gets another season but I wouldn't be devastated if it was cancelled. A lot of the time I found myself bored watching the episodes, Matt Ryan is great as John but there is a lot of blandness elsewhere in the show.

  3. Hope NBC goes for it. Hopefully there's real interest otherwise else it's real dickish to just humor people like this.

  4. Hoping for something positive.

  6. Constantine is one of my favorite characters but I could not get into
this show. Something about it just feels so empty. Like there's no
passion going into it. And the storylines they chose for S1 were really lackluster. You can't hold back on the best stuff anymore.

If it does get a second season, which I doubt, I'm hoping for a creative revamp.

  7. Don't hold your breath. They should pitch their season 2 ideas to other outlets such as Netlix/Hulu/Amazon or cable networks. An NBC pickup, while not impossible, is highly unlikely

  8. Well..all the work they do for pitches to NBC they will be able to reuse in large parts if they want to pitch to other networks.
I hope they get to go wilder in S2 if it's greenlit,. I felt like they were holding back too much in S1. As the season went by the show started to become braver (seriously...where else would you get saving yourself from demon possession by injecting shitload of heroine or angel getting a blowjob), so I have a feeling Season 2 could end up something spectacular. It would probably be best if it landed on Amazon, Netflix or even SyFy. But I will take S2 on NBC over nothing.

  9. I actually think this has a chance considering it aired on Fridays and was stable so t makes it much beter than the other NBC flops.

  10. I have already deleted it from my Hopper. The eps could not keep me awake...boring. For me Matt just played the character to over the top.

  11. i m hoping less mainly cuz season 1 was alright in the creative direction.only a handful of shows got better in the 2 season.

  12. I don't think this has any realistic chance of happening although I would say that I think NBC should have stuck with it for the full season and kept the Dateline | Grimm | Constantine schedule instead of the mess they created. The ratings were low but not outright horrible for a Friday show and could have warranted a full season.

  13. I watched it a couple of weeks ago on Amazon prime and I actually liked it even though the genre isn't really my thing.

My only complaint was his sidekick Zed who was frankly a boring sidekick and her gormless expressions were borderline annoying.

  14. Doesn't sounds very promising, but I'll hope for the best (mostly because if it gets a second season I might try catching up. I'm still a tad disappointed in myself for not being able to do so, as the show was on throughout the year).

  15. Depends. Most genre shows gets better in it's 2nd season. They always have to juggle complex mythology and weird episodes initially so there tends to be steep learning curve. Second seasons tend to be big improvements because of that.

  16. Hoping for the best.... I wasn't too familiar with the characters, but liked what I saw performed onscreen and the really dark tone in the direction. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

  17. I actually hope that even if it's renewed that it never gets over 16 episodes per season. As much as I love it. Although Constantine is probably a better show to have 22 episodes per season than Grimm... which basically feels like it's buying time for 60% of the season.
