  1. Aw, I was hoping for Ward and Kara promo photos but this looks angsty and mysterious. Can't wait for this one!

  2. they will tell Hunter but will we find out about it too?

  3. Me too, I miss Ward so much.

  4. I'd think so. Or why else put it in the press release. Plus it's not like we don't know they are working for someone and then came out and said they weren't Hydra and now they left us with Mack choking out Hunter. Kind of about time the clue the viewer in on it.

  5. Stop putting walls between FitzSimmons! They were FitzSimmonsing like crazy last episode. Things were finally getting back to normal.

Looks like things are getting really good and complex! Love it.

Bobbi and Mack are still good guys but are likely working for Talbot and the US government or for Stark or both. As we approach Avengers 2 we know from the voice overs that Stark is trying to build a "suit of armor around the world" which leads to the Ultron mess. Although the Avengers are their own team, Stark still very much has working relationships with the US government and may still be wary of SHIELD in general.

Its heavily speculated that Avengers 2 will start with the Avengers taking down Baron von Stucker and Hydra at their hidden castle base somewhere in Europe. The battle scenes in the trailer with the snow troopers show this..... I suspect that this episode will be the start of Ward and 33 being involved in infiltrating and/or exposing Hydra's base that eventually leads to the Avengers springing into action. All of this will coincide with episodes of Agents of SHIELD airing the week of May 1st.

The fallout from Avengers 2 will result in the team splitting up and choosing sides related to their position supporting the Superhero Registration Act or not. We're already seeing the start of that in Agents of SHIELD as the team is taking a pro/con attitude towards aliens and super powers in general.

    Its gonna be great!

No Skye on promo pics. Did she leave the team? I think this episode will be sooo good. Then, how could it not with that title. :D

  9. Hmmm, not a lot to go on here but all I know is that I need Fitz's wardrobe in my life. He's always so stylish. And I still love that title.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I can't help but think that Gordon showed up and took Skye away. I mean she needs the practice and the support and care that Shield is unable to provide

  11. I know lol by the way I love the word FitzSimmonsing, very funny.

  12. Glad to see that we're going to get some FitzSimmons interaction. Even if things are still tense between them, it beats them constantly avoiding each other.

  13. Having a show about a non-existent team that is all against each other all the time, is not something I would call great to be honest.

It would be nice if trust was something that actually meant something in shows like this, but it's the last thing that actually matters seeing as everyone just lovely turns against each other.

But yeah, it will be great to see how that gets even worse and then everyone is also clearly hoping and/or expecting some evil Skye action or whatever.

But like I said, yeah! It's hella great that nobody can be trusted in this show apparently and no one is actually on each other's side or having each others backs.

Just like how it doesn't make sense at all how Bobbi said that the Kree guy was coming after one of her own, while they're clearly just lying to their faces and planning against them, after everything they did together and went through.

  14. I see lots of Fitz... never a bad thing...

  15. Willingly or unwillingly, I just hope it's sooner rather than later. As for the potential shipper stuff, I choose not to dwell on that.

Hear, hear. Agree but you just know its gonna happen and all of the SkyWard guys are gonna go nuts not to mention everyone who is so oddly invested in this "family" thing that's going around in the comments when mama May papa Coulson are separated from their "daughter". .... odd fixation people have that I just don't get.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yep. Much to my chagrin, this is not an unlikely scenario.

    ReplyDelete
  18. He hasn't had a spotlight episode yet this season. He's overdue for one. So is Mack, quite frankly.

    ReplyDelete
  19. We might know that they're not with Hydra, but that doesn't make them any less traitors or selfish or whatever. They're plotting against their friends, the people they fight with and should have thei backs, lying right to their faces.

And again, like I said before, Bobbi's supposed to be all about SHIELD, not just simply turning against it. Besides, betraying the people that trust you and everything isn't exactly what I'd call patriotism. Not to mention that it's still shit like this that caused Hydra to infiltrate SHIELD so well.

    ReplyDelete
  20. SkyWard is the worst thing ever is all I'm saying on that. But I think it's a little weird to say that it's so odd that people see them as a family, especially when it comes to coulson and Skye, there is definitely a sort of father-daughter bond there.

I know that you're all but expecting everyone to turn on everyone and all that, but how much Coulson cares about Skye and their bond is one of the last things this show has left of actually people having humanity in them and not just secrets and ulterior motives towards the people they supposedly care about.

That at least the orignal ones of them, that weren't just super annoying lying assholes, actually care that much about each other as a sort of a "family" is what got them to survive thus far in the first place. So why is that so odd?

too much Fitz - said no one ever .

    ReplyDelete
  22. They posted a bunch of pics that shows us literally nothing. No give aways. I hope it means they don't they don't want to spoiler anything. Still a few more pics would be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Actually I believe that these pics show quite a lot!! You can infer that Skye isn't there anymore or chose to left since Fitz is obviously trying to find her. In one of the pics you can see Fitz in front of computers with the different continents on the screen and a device in his hand. The device is probably being used to detect earthquakes or vibrations however small they might be. If they detect something then that is where Skye is. At least that's how I see it.

Whats odd isn't the interpersonal connections or the close relationships that are forming between some of the characters. There's nothing odd or wrong with that. It adds depth to the story and it works well. What's odd and I gotta say annoying are people's comments about it over and over again.

Its one thing to like that Coulson has taken on a father figure to Skye. That's cool. Its there. Its nice. Its another thing to SQEE about it over and over again. To those doing it: We know you like it. We get it. You don't need to project some bed time story fanfic fantasy by repeatedly referring to the characters as momma May and pappa Coulson etc. This is a superhero show about spies and betrayal and war and intrigue. it isn't a bedtime story or trashy romance novel.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What Bobbi and Mack are doing doesn't strike me as that different from what May did last season, by reporting on Coulson to Fury behind Coulson's back (not to mention hiding the fact that she knew the truth about Coulson's resurrection all along). They may be lying and scheming, but they're trying to do the right thing. I'm not sure why so many viewers are demonizing them to this degree.

    ReplyDelete
  26. These pictures aren't telling us much except that Fitz owns a really nice cardigan.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Not to mention some calling fitz skyes big brother like what can u not be friends and be there for each other I mean if they were too ever hook I would go ewwww remembering those comments

    ReplyDelete
  28. yeah me too, i've missed him over the last two episodes, you think they'll actually call her Kara?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Mack knocked out Hunter, they might not be evil but they're definitely untrustworthy even if Bobbi is hesitant about it

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, we've already been calling her that for months so there might be a meltdown if her name is different.

    ReplyDelete
  31. ward is finally back!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not denying that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Does he ever get one though? He has a pretty nice B story, but he's never really the A story (as much as I wish he would be!)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Totally agree.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree with @FK9, they need to address several more issues between them (not that they've really addressed any) before they can move forward and get back to FitzSimmonsing. (Such a great word for them!)

    ReplyDelete
  36. There is a pretty big difference between that in season 1 and that right now. There was still officially a SHIELD for one thing last season, where right now, it's just them, something that Mack and Bobbi are thus seriously wanting to jeopardize, which just annoys the crap out of me because this team was finally starting to get along, trust each other, find their footing. Then instead of letting freaking Mack die and getting rid of him, they let Tripp die, which I'm still pissed off about...

And I just can't believe that how hesitant she might be, Bobbi just lies to everyone for a guy like Mack, since I don't know what they're actually planning of course, but I know for sure that this is going to turn out crap. And people keep saying that Bobbi is a patriot, and yes she is, but she's supposed to be a SHIELD patriot, so I don't get why she's going this direction which in my opinion, is against everything SHIELD should be about, I mean, can you imagine Tripp's response to any of this?

Not to mention that it wouldn't surprise me one bit, and would be one of the few realistic ways of this to go down with Bobbi and Hunter, is that when he finally finds out and they've done their selfish attempt to convince him to join, he just tells her right in her face that he hates her and wants nothing to do with her anymore, for all her lying right to his face and doing all of this behind his back, and everyone else's...

Actually, for me it feels a lot more like the writers just felt like they had to have another "Ward-moiment" or whatever like last s3eason when it turned out that he was the most annoying, untrustworthy and dellusioned guy in the Marvel universe almost.

But yeah, I'm demonizing them, you know why? Because I thought that Mack actually gave a crap about these people, about Fitz, but now I don't believe ANY word out of his mouth, and Bobbi, I really thought she was an awesome character that would give her life for these people, that she and Hunter were a pretty awesome couple, even with the issues. And then they show exactly why Hunter hates her so much deep inside, because there is no way anyone can ever trust her if this is really the way she goes about things and people that she cares about.

Like I said before, when the Kree wanted to come after Skye, why say that it's on3e of her people, when af ew minutes later she is standing there with Mack, talking about how enormous of a threat Skye is, like she's just some kind of threatening object or whatever >.<

I don't necessarily disagree with what you're saying but I think its early to judge Mack and Bobbi this much at the moment. Ultimately they have an agenda. An agenda that I'm fairly certain they believe is coming from good intentions. And if they're being dishonest with the people on the team then that's the way it is. Its part of the job they all accepted and they should all have skins thick enough to deal with it: May and Coulson especially.

This is a spy show after all. Its about a covert, paramilitary intelligence organization that specializes in: infiltration, deceit and assassinations. Its what they're all trained to do in one way or another. I'm sure they'll all get over any hurt feelings. And if not: its the job they signed up for. They're all professionals.

    ReplyDelete
  38. But as I said, with this job, also comes that they should be able to trust each other, which they just started to be able to do without Ward, and now this just feels like the writers feel it's necessary to have some Ward-like twist again, and that's just... dissapointing in my opinion.

And any hurt feelings? That still makes it sound like this job is tons more important than who they are, what they believe in, and the bonds that they have with each other. It's not just a job anymore, not officially anyway, they only have each other to count on.

And sure, they might have their good intentions or whatever, and I could still have seen it coming from Mack, but I just don't understand it from Bobbi. She constantly contradicts herself, has doubts about it, but she just keeps going, and it's just weird because for now it seems like its AGAINST SHIELD, and against everything that this show and Hunter have said multiple times is the one thing she was so super loyal to, and now all of a sudden that seems to have changed, and again, like I said, it just feels like a forced Ward-like situation kind of thing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I guess I see it differently. There are a lot of grey zones, especially in a show about spies, so it's not as simple to me as they're either completely straight-arrow, trustworthy, upstanding good guys or horrible, nefarious, backstabbing bad guys.

Regardless of the fact that May still technically got her orders from SHIELD last season and they aren't, I see it as a pretty similar situation. May cared a LOT about Coulson (these two are closer and share more history than Bobbi and Mack with anyone on the team) but she still ultimately betrayed him because she felt it was the right thing to do, and, I guess, that in a bizarre twist of fate it was for his own good. So far, all signs point to Bobbi and Mack also believing that they're doing the right thing. Yes, they're lying to their friends. No, it's not okay. But nor was it okay when Skye was still reporting to the Rising Tide after joining Coulson's team, or when Simmons took a sample of Skye's blood to the Hub to study it against Coulson's orders (and talked to Fitz about it on a secure line), or when May was working behind Coulson's back. When I find out that they're reporting to an evil Nazi organization, or when they seriously hurt someone (Mack knocking Hunter out doesn't count as Hunter did the exact same thing to Skye, May and Trip in episode 2), THEN I'll concede that they're like Ward. Right now, they're not even in the same ballpark.

And I don't see how what they're doing negates caring about their friends. Everything Mack did for Fitz was coming from a place of real concern for him. Same with Bobbi bringing Skye that "quarantine survival kit" in episode 11. Again I say - if lying to your teammate means you don't care, that means May didn't care about Coulson and we all know that couldn't be further from the truth. Finally - YES, they risked their life when fighting the Kree to try to protect Skye. Would they do that for someone who they didn't really give a crap about? I don't think their saying that Skye is dangerous takes away from that, either - it's a fact, even if it's not a nice thing to say, and Simmons and Hunter seem to be in agreement with them. They didn't mean for Skye to hear what they were saying, after all.

I don't think we can pass judgment on Bobbi and Mack until we learn exactly what they're doing, and for/with whom. It's obvious that they're conflicted about this act of betrayal to their team, but are doing it because they feel it has to be done.

    ReplyDelete
  40. But do you see Fitz when he's not there...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Also Simmons has short hair and Coulson wears a suit.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Why is it Kara, again? Did they use it in the show or something (my memory is iffy)?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Because Agent 33's name in the comics is Kara Lynn Palamas http://marvel.wikia.com/Kara_Lynn_Palamas_%28Earth-616%29

    ReplyDelete
  44. Ah!!!! Ok, I knew she was from the comics, but I didn't think to look up her name, thanks for the info :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. You're welcome!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think The Hub and Seeds from last season qualify as Fitz-spotlight episodes IMO, but he hasn't gotten one this year yet despite having a prominent subplot that seems to have drawn tons of praise from pretty much everyone. That really doesn't make sense to me, considering what a scene-stealer Iain has been in season 2.
