    I can understand why Sif would randomly attack someone, considering that her memory is lost, but I have to say - I'm starting to get sick of those unnecessary scenes of women beating up men on TV just to show how badass they are. It's not empowering, it only creates double standards (men hitting women = abusive, the reverse = awesome and badass). This guy wasn't threatening Sif in any way. Sure, he made the requisite sexist comment about how a woman shouldn't be out at night alone, and touched her for no reason which didn't show a lot of respect for personal space. But it's still not a justification for violence, and we all know full well that if the genders were reversed, everyone would complain about this scene. I just wish we wouldn't see this trope so often.

    I'm Portuguese and that crap they're speaking is Portuguese from Brazil. Too bad the producers don't know the diference. :(

    Really I met plenty of Brazilians speaking English like that. So to me having Brazilians on the coast of the Motherland is not too far fetched.

    I'm Brazillian and that sounded like European Portuguese to me. At the very least, a Portuguese accent.

    Now that I listened for the second time, I think we can agree it's americans actors speaking portuguese because they sure aren't portuguese born speakers. Like when the guy said "Epah... que é isso?", in Portugal we would say something like "Epah... que é aquilo". After Sif knocked the guy down on the beach the voices from the girl seemed a lot like Brazilian Portuguese.

    português do Brasil. Eu como brasileira escuto o português de Portugal,
    principalmente o sotaque.
    I do not believe they are discussing the Portuguese of Portugal with the Portuguese of Brazil. I listen Portuguese of Portugal, especially the accent.
