  1. While I don't believe in the CW version of history, that Francis would ever do anything to hurt Mary, his true love, I am hoping that he finally realized that she's playing him and his country like a bunch of fool's, with her lusting after Conde, and puts his foot down and tells Mary it's either Conde or her country. Then hopefully Catherine gets back to her old self, and figures out that Conde and his brother are behind the poisoning. This will be uncomfortable for Francis but it's the only thing left for him and his reign.

  2. You can always count on Alexa Chung to keep her bag choices interesting. Here she is attending the aforementioned launch party with the Louis Vuitton x Frank Gehry Twisted Box Monogram Bag. It's no surprise that Alexa favors the same little LV collab bag that Rihanna has loved for
    months. Luxury HandBags Sale

  3. Mary became a bitch. Poor Frsncis, he doesn't deserve this.

  4. Dear writers: Let's makes something clear NOBODY WANTS MARY TO BE UNFAITHFUL! this is the second time that you have wrote her a wandering heart. That goes against this loyal Mary character you have created and the Mary your fans love. I've said it once I'll say it again. Stop wanting to follow "history". Give Mary and Francis they happily ever after TOGETHER that they deserve and didn't get in real life. Get this ship back on course and don't kill francis!!

This falling in live with other people bullshit it's what we want to see!

  5. I find it quite laughable that people are condemning Mary and defending Francis. Yes he was trying to protect her all along but his actions have led Mary to become what she is, I don't think she's a bitch at all, she's suffering the consequences of Francis' actions and has been through something you can't just simply get over and be happy again after. She's by far the most developed character of the show and rightly so, she's very layered and the years have hardened her to the point where she'll become the Queen she needs to be to lead her to the events of her death.

As for the way Mary is treating Francis in terms of pushing him away...completely understandable and I don't think its wrong of her to do so but forcing her to bed him isn't going to help anything, it's going to push her further away from him so her mother needs to back off. I love the direction the show has taken with these two, considering the fact that they've changed so much already, I think straying too far from history and keeping Francis alive would be a huge mistake but the Frary fans can rest assured, I'm sure the writers will bring them back together before he dies.

  6. Poor fans or should I say frays. Their going on about what a terrible person Mary is, you do realize that Francis and Lola will be getting "closer" is the next episode but no one is saying, what a bitch Francis is. The only reason these two were Epic, against the world type, is that's how they wrote them together, the writers. I'm all for Mary moving on, seeing as this show is about her life and not fray. if you don't want Francis to die, you'll be in for a disappointment, you should be glad they slowed down the pacing of the episodes otherwise, Francis will be dead sooner rather then later.

  7. Speak for yourself, many people root for Mary and Conde. Personally, I find Francis to be uncharismatic and bland of a character, the chemistry Mary has with Conde is deeper than what she had with Francis and I know a number of people want them together, me included!

  8. "Poor Francis." You people are delusional. He's literally the worst! I don't think you understand how someone who's been raped must be feeling. She's not a horrible person. You all saw her trying to let Francis sleep in the same bed but she wasn't ready for it.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yeah, because giving someone an ultimatum has always worked out fine in the end...

    ReplyDelete
  10. He doesn't deserve what? His wife not being with him after she got attacked? Yes, what a bitch! How dare she be hurt and scared! She should forget all about that and give Francis an heir, right?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I noticed that you keep referring back to her tragic rape being the cause of her disrespectful treatment of Francis. This would be completely understandable if that's how the dialog was written but that's not what we're seeing. Her and Francis worked on this the night they attempted to sleep in the same bed. The problem is she continues to wrongfully blame Francis for everything that's wrong in France. She's constantly hovering around Conde and now we know why. Her heart is divided. Francis has been very understanding up till now, because of the rape but that's the problem with the writing. They used the rape to push this stupid triangle.

  12. I was being somewhat sarcastic, but remember last season when Mary banished Francis from his own home, based solely on a vision and to advance her affair with Bash ? Now in this promo she mournfully tells Conde that Francis has forbidden their union, as if he was expected to be okay with his wife, the queen, taking on a lover.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yay, we'll see Mary's mother again!!! and also - Francis has forbidden Mary and Conde to see each other? Really? If he thinks this way she and Conde lose their connection then he cound'nt be more wrong!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I wasn't talking about the heir. I was talking about her behaviour. She seems out of her mind. She can't love Francis but can love Condè. What? What happended to her is not only Francis fault, he tried to protect her. This is not the real Mary, the real Mary would never have acted like that. In the 1x13 she let Francis free "because I love you" and now she treats him like a piece of sh*t...she uses him to conceive an heir (look at the canadian promo), not vice versa, while she loves Condè. No sense. Fortunately, Francis will stop her stupid tentative to getting pregnant only for saving her Scottish throne. Yes, she is a bicht that jokes with Francis feelings.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Woah, woah. You need to hold up on the whole using him for an heir thing because that can easily be taken out of context, we've only seen a small clip. One promo makes it look like her mother slips something into her drink that possibly causes he to sleep with Francis but we won't know until the episode airs.

And its perfectly understandable how she can love Conde but not feel the same way as before with Francis. He is forever linked to the cause of her rape and Conde is linked to her finding and getting rid of the man who did it. I know Conde isn't as good or as truthful as she may think but one thing she knows is that he helped her and at the time when she most needed him, Francis was not there, he was off cleaning up a mess he got himself into because he didn't trust his wife enough to tell her the truth.

I'm growing very tired of the hating on Mary and the "oh poor Francis" angle people seem to be playing, everyone on the show has made mistakes but Francis' far outweigh Mary's.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well, he did say she's not allowed to be with anyone else because queens would be questioned about who's the father of the child, if it ever came to that.

I really don't like Francis. No matter what he does, it always seems like the wrong thing.

lmao The vision is right tho and I remember one of her friends died, which Nostradamus predicted. If something like that happened to me, hell, I'd believe it in a heartbeat!

    ReplyDelete
  17. The point of being a queen is to get pregnant.
Of course she's not the same! She's been raped! I feel like Francis is pressuring her by saying he's not giving up. He needs to back off and let her deal with it the way she wants it to, even if it means hooking up with Conde! Everyone deals with trauma a different way.

BTW even tho I like Mary and Conde and think they have mad chemistry together, more than she ever had with Francis, I don't think she should act on it. It wouldn't be fair to Francis. Hope the writers stop it before it goes out of hand.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah, I agree with you about slipping something into her drink (and with everything else you said). Just the thought of it makes me sick.

    ReplyDelete
  19. While I disagree about Francis and Mary's lack of chemistry, remember when she got pregnant, the optimistic side of me has a new perspective on the new promo. The clips all tend to suggest that Mary is falling even farther away from Francis and closer to Conde. It even gives the impression that Mary tells Francis she wants to be with Conde. Add that to what appears to be Mary's mother drugging her to persuade her to sleep with Francis and you've got a real mess. But, what if this is some very clever editing just to cause more angst with the very large Mary and Francis fan base? What if Francis realized that Mary was drugged, and stops everything being the man that he is and Mary finally sees just how much he really cares and respects her? Enough to change her attitude?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Haha I thought the same thing. I do think this will happen and he will stop. Now lets wait until the next episode and gloat being right. :D

  21. Any idea how many episodes left for season 2?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Do NOT like Conde and his pursuit of Mary or her feelings for
him. I'm getting weary of watching Mary punish Francis all the time.
The writer's wrote Frary to be an epic love, "It's always been you." and
now that seems to have been pushed aside. Don't get it at all.

  23. Next week is 15 of 22 so 8

  24. What Brandy said. That leaves them plenty of time to ruin Conde's character. I just know this will happen.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thanks, didn't realize season that long. Plenty of time yet, to get to the death of Francis and maybe start third season with Mary's second marriage.

    ReplyDelete
  26. As I posted below, also enough time to deal with the death of Francis.

    ReplyDelete
  27. But will they kill him of by the end of this season? It's winter now so if I remember correctly Francis dies in December.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well given how the writers have disrespected the historical element up till now, I am sure this won't be an issue. Francis actually died from an ear infection, but I am guessing they'll go with something much more dramatic like poisoning, maybe by Narcisse or Conde, if their still around.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Aren't the a part of the main cast? I don't think they're going anywhere. Narcisse could be Mary 's nemesis after Francis dies.

Even tho I expect them to ruin Conde, I doubt he would kill Francis but at the same time I can see it happening. Does that make sense?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm not a fan of the Mary/Condé romance at all, but frankly, anyone's better for her than Francis, who's been nothing but controlling, egoistical and unfair since the beginning. I suppose his behaviour is completely normal for a man (and a king) in that time and age, which isn't exactly known for the power that was awarded to women then. But Reign as a show has always more or less ignored history and applied modern day morals - in the light of that, Francis and his attitude stand out like a sore thumb. Urgh. Isn't he supposed to die soon? Can we fast-forward to that?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think the poison is for Lola.
Anyway, you are wrong. In the first half of season 2, Francis was hated more than everyone. Now Mary is in wrong and "deserves" so many dislikes. I may understand that she no longer loves Francis but I can't understand her "bipolarism". She gives hope and than takes it back (look at 2x13).

    ReplyDelete
  32. We'll just have to wait for the episode to air to see if its poison or not. That was my point, we can't say things are a certain way based off of a promo which can very often be shown as something different to what it is.

Mary isn't in the wrong at all and she certainly doesn't deserve any hate. She's been degraded and defiled, it's hard for her to show Francis the intimacy that she wants to show him and she never said she doesn't love Francis anymore, she just can't give herself to him the way she did before because she needs to have time and space to actually work through her issues but he keeps persuing her. He may not realise it but the harder he pushes, the more he drives her away. And if you're referring to the scene where she tried to sleep in the same bed for 2x13 then you really don't get what has happened at all and clearly didn't watch, she wasn't giving him hope to be cruel, she THOUGHT she could deal with him being near her but she was kidding herself, theres nothing wrong with that.

  33. When you're violated in that way by a man, would you be so ready be open with another man again? Flesh wounds take time to heal but it's the emotional wounds that take the longest.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think what a lot of us saw in the scenes from episode 13 was Mary flip floping almost overnight for reasons other than the rape. You guys are right that she clearly wasn't ready for Francis to return to her bed. She apologized and Francis completely understood and told her he would always be there for her. This is when they had the wonderful embrace. The next scenes her and Francis are smiling and dancing, to the point that everyone in court noticed. You could see the angst on Conde face. Then bring in the brothers are possibly double dealing for funds because England is upset with France, although the whole story is suspect given the source, and bam, Mary kicks Francis out. This is why some of us have issues with Mary's treatment of Francis , this along with a number of other things. Sure she's suffering, but stop humiliating and disrespecting him, and stop turning to another man for comfort in his own house. Whew I'm done. Sorry for the rant.

  35. I think everyone is missing an important piece. Mary was breed to be a queen. She never seemed ignorant. She got past the girlfriend, Lola and the baby. Francis disappointed Mary by not being the leader he proclaimed he wanted to be. What they shared that allowed their relationship to overcome so much was the shared vision of the world they wanted to create for their people together. Francis was weak and Mary was strong and as someone mentioned, when she "fell" Conde was there not Francis. Mary needed someone that was strong enough to allow her to be weak. She shared the experience and emotions through the miscarriage, rape and revenge with Conde because she could and he was there.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I don't like either what Mary is doing but it definitely makes an interesting story. can't wait to see how it all turns out. anyway, if the prohecy is true and Francis dies, we all have seen that Mary is right next to him in their royal bed (probably) which means they'll make up eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thank you very much. You explained what I meant but my bad English doesn't allow me to express myself properly.

    ReplyDelete
  38. No worries, we all like a good rant but I still don't see her as bitchy or disrespectful considering how he had lied to her for months so I think people should consider that the trust between them is already on shaky ground and with her emotions high because of the rape its quite understandable how she can "flip flop" as you say, she WANTS to trust him but I don't think she fully can until she can find a way of being happy again.

I just think the hate for her is uncalled for and that people haven't really thought about what she's been through and the way he's spoken to her when he was lying and/or in general, yes he was telling the truth with the "Queens don't have the freedom that Kings do" speech but it felt more like he was saying "well I can do this and you can't so..." even if he didn't want it to come across that way. I just think Francis is a very flawed character and there isn't really anything wrong with that but for me there is no "poor Francis" in this situation because his own actions have led to this.

  39. Ok, the last thing I'm going to say. I only commented on all these boards in hopes to get writers attention.

Anywhooo 1) francis is not a bad guy. All his decisions WERE FOR MARY. he did not start letting himself be blackmailed UNTIL mary's life was threaten.
    2) you all are so eager to forget what a great couple they were before the writer wrote them not.
    3) FRANCIS NEVER CHEATED. Mary was with bash and had broke it off with francis when he had met up with lola.
so no his character is not a bad guy, yes he could have gone about things differently but he had good intentions. AND it is not unreasonable to ask for a happy ending for two people who's real lives were anything but. This is a fictional story based on real people. The facts do not have to be there for good entertainment.you want historical accuracy, read a history book.
