  1. Holy Dottie! She showed whos boss to the dentist. She really freaks me out yet I'm impressed by her kickass nature.

Lol, Peggy, "stop dawdling, come along" to Jarvis. Hahaha, at all those girls complaining about Howard Stark and the "floosies".

Oh, Jarvis bribing the kid to "go away" with 5 cents lol.

Yes to Peggy taking down those guys, frisbee plate and all, with that fun music playing in the background until Agent Thompson shows up and she kicks his ass. Damn, the action is so brutally cool, Hayley Atwell is awesome :)

Hahaha, the lady at the Front Desk of Peggy's Home trying to prevent the men from going upstairs as a matter of "safety". Lol, "Those girls from the telephone company are all the same", little does she know ;)

Yay, Angie keeping Peggy's secret, her lies and her "grandmother", who supported her acting lol. "The usual. Complained about her fat-head male cowokers alot" - Angie is perfection! "I knew you didn't work at the telephone company". I also really want more Angie and Peggy scenes, they are so great :)

Peggy "after the performance I just saw, you belong on Broadway, your an amazing actress", take care of yourself". "You too english". - Love this scene.

OMG!!! Dottie Kissed Peggy!!! Kissing is now a deadly trap, man, Dottie can lie "well I don't know, I just found her like that", in that sweet pretender voice.

    I need Season 2!!

  2. I wanted Peggy/Angie but at least she seemed into the (unwanted) kiss with Dottie before she got knocked out. And Dottie continues to be creepy as hel.

LOL at poor Jarvis. And aww at Angie helping out Peggy.

Noooooooo at the cliffhanger. Great episode!

  3. Poor Peggy - done in by her own lipstick. Loved the scenes with Jarvis and Angie.

  4. Great episode Dottie show who boss even though she creep me out Bridget Regan does play characters who are more then it seem that ending wow we really need a season two

  5. Fantastic episode! Didn't think Peggy was going to get caught this soon. Dottie is very creepy and I knew the doctor was going to be Leviathan. Jarvis getting on the action was funny, he seemed so pleased with himself when he knocked that guy over the head.
I am desperate for a season 2 to happen.

  6. Wonderfully, action packed, love loved it, Peggy has to come out of this she continues to show everyone who's boss, but she has serious competition with creepy Dottie whoa she's a force all her own, a robot who is a killing machine, Abc needs to just take us out of our misery and announce season two Agent Carter has a lot more to show of this kickass female agent!!!!

  7. WOW, awesome episode!

Thank god that Dottie did not point that sniper rifle at Peggy! But holy hell at her drilling into that dentist. She is one terrifying but badass woman. Damn, she kissed Peggy with her own Sweet Dreams Lipstick and then lied to the SSR agents at the end!! I was definitely not expecting that. She's so sneaky. Ohhh, Peggy is coming to get you Dottie.

So wonderful to see Angie again :) And yay she covered for Peggy. That was awesome. LOL at her fake crying about Peggy's grandmother XD Looks like she'll do great in Broadway because that was an Emmy winning performance right there. Also loved that she knew that Peggy didn't work at the phone company. Angie is one smart gal :)

I still have some hope that Sousa will ultimately team up with Peggy in the end and be allies with her! I'll probably never stop praying for this to happen haha. It would be so awesome. Also, not enough Jarvis but I did like that he helped Peggy try to look for Howard (giving a boy some money so he can walk away XD) and helped her beat up all those SSR agents at the automat. More of Jarvis in action would be greatly appreciated.

Uh oh, I really need the SSR to ultimately find out that Ivchenko is a Leviathan agent and take him out! Hopefully he doesn't get to Howard's weapons because that will be disastrous for everyone. And I'm really looking forward to Peggy's interrogation next week! Here's hoping that she will convince the SSR agents that the bad guys are Leviathan and go after them.

This show is seriously becoming one of my favorites! Every week they are pumping out some of the most amazing television I have ever seen in a long time. Can't freaking wait to see how they close out the season with only two episodes left.

  8. Totally agree with you! Angie/Peggy friendship is really something special. :)

  9. I just want Peggy to catch a break, find an ally, quit having the men treat her like crap, something. It is really starting to depress me, especially after the team last week was so awesome to her. I thought maybe we were going to turn a corner, but nope, still beat down Peggy time. At least no one told her to fetch coffee.

Dottie and Angie are acting so fake (or so just badly) that it is starting to grate. Dottie as an idea is good, the execution is just terrible.

  10. Agent Carter continues to be incredible, action-packed, intelligent comic book inspired entertainment that captivates my adult imagination. Both Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD represent the best in comic book inspired series translated to television that don't feel like they were made for the Saturday morning cartoon crowd of 10 year olds...

  11. "Focus" god the Russian psychiatrist dude is so creepy and scary and what he did to that Agent and what he was trying to do with the Chief. Scary. Also loves the fake-out, seemed like Dottie was going to kill him but they were communicating instead.

Angie should become a future SHIELD agent, she has the required acting skills!

Jarvis and Peggy searching around for all of Stark's women, ha. I love Jarvis so I am glad he is working with Peggy again.

Well obviously the SSR will believe Peggy in the end but she is going to have to work hard to convince them.

  12. I totally agree. I couldn't have said it any better.

  13. Every minute of this episode was thrilling. One of my favourite shows right now. Two episodes left and it will be explosiv. I hope they renew it. They have to.

  14. I know -- I haven't looked forward to a show this much each week in ages. So well performed, written, and orchestrated.

  15. No! I can't believe there's only two more episodes! This show MUST continue...it's so much better than SHIELD.

Last night's episode moved the narrative forward brilliantly with reveal after reveal: the creepy Russian psychiatrist revealed as a Baddie and "mind controlling" the male SSR agents. Dottie going after Peggy but first killing a chauvinistic dentist with his own drill...and that scene morphing into a street scene--with pavement drilling. Souza and Peggy in the ally. Peggy on the ledge. Angie having her faith restored in her own acting ability, while temporally saving Peggy. Finally, Peggy being "saved/captured" by the SSR just as Dottie was about to kill her--and what about that Lipstick/Kiss between Dottie & Peggy!

Most shows couldn't handle half of those plot points in one episode. Again: ABC needs to announce that Agent Carter is coming back next season--real soon! And, I don't envy Agents of SHIELD, having to come back and fill the space that Agent Carter so capably occupied for the past two months.

  16. I like AOS but Agent Carter captured my attention and heart a whole lot more quickly - it came out of the gate fast and polished.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Upon reflection, I may be a little too harsh on AOS. As you suggest, Agent Carter seems to know where it's going, and is moving like an express train down the track. Whereas, AOS seemed to stubble a couple of times--and, I believe, they even acknowledged that there was a "re-boot" by making Ward a Hydra agent--which tied into the second Captain America movie. I've always like Skye, but am not sure "who" she is anymore, so AOS may not be out of the woods yet.

Bottom line: Agent Carter is hitting on all cylinders, and is FUN. The show's writers don't seem to be too indebted to the comics for inspiration; and that seems to be going over well with the audience. In fact, I'm NOT sure that Agent Carter's audience are comic-book fans.

  18. Best episode yet. Edge-of-your-seat suspense throughout, action, Peggy/Jarvis teamwork (Javis is THE BEST and most adorable!), creepiness with Dottie and the doctor, Angie coming into the fold in a pretty fun way, and a badass cliffhanger. It pains me to think that we most likely only have two more episodes, because this show is really well-done in all aspects. Meanwhile, certain comic book shows that I find generic, predictable and highly overrated are getting awesome ratings and guaranteed to go on for years. Sigh. (Hint: they're both on The CW.)

  19. I think a combination of only being 8 episodes (so there was never any time to tread water) and Marvel learning from the mistakes of early AoS resulted in a much stronger, more focused start for AC. Unfortunately, TV audiences are harsh and unforgiving, so the weak early episodes of AoS doomed it in terms of ratings (although it's still doing okay enough to get renewed) and most likely adversely affected AC as well. I mean, AC is not only another Marvel show, in the same slot as AoS, but another show with "Agent" in the title - I'm sure some viewers avoided AC because they felt they'd been burned with AoS already.

AoS is my favorite show currently, so I do like it even better than AC, *but* there's no question that it took a while to get good, whereas AC has been great from frame one.

  20. When I saw the promo, I thought Dottie might be trying to kill Peggy with the sniper rifle. Then, when I saw the actual scene, I thought she was going to kill Dooley. Then I thought she was going to kill the psychiatrist. Finally, it turned out she wasn't going to kill ANYONE (yet) but her "rifle" was only for communication in Morse code! Very clever of the show to get us to think so many different things and then reveal something else altogether.

And I adore how Angie helped Peggy, the Cartinelli feels were strong with this episode :) she totally needs to be one of SHIELD's first recruits.

  21. Co-sign. Marvel is bringing it with both its current TV shows. They're full of action, twists, great storylines and compelling characters played by strong casts. If only their ratings were better! Le sigh.

  22. You hit it on the nose with one word : FUN

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like both shows and you make some good points but Agent Carter has my heart with the rollicking action and funny lines from a great cast ( with highly defined personalities) set to swing tunes in a beautifully recreated 1946 setting.

    ReplyDelete
  24. AOS had to wait until Winter Soldier and Ward is not HYDRA

    ReplyDelete
  25. she knows Sousa wants to trust her and thompson's a D-Bag

    ReplyDelete
  26. These are all true. I'm surprised when I see comments that say stuff like "People aren't into period pieces" when trying to explain the show's low ratings. To me, the 1946 setting is half the fun of this show. I love the fashion, cars, music (a great mix of actual songs from the era and modern songs that sound a LOT like they're from the era), sets, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The show has recreated the period as spirited and loads of fun with its use of color, sets, music, and language, and style.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "Ward is not HYDRA"

    Oh boy.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sadly we only have 2 more episodes of this amazing show but on the other hand that means Agents if Shield is getting closer

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh, I forgot to mention my Favorite Scene. Poor Jarvis getting smacked around by Howard Stark's cast-off girlfriends. And loved it when Peggy did manage to stop a girl from smacking Jarvis...only to have the girl kick him! Hilarious! Comical! This is why they call them "Comic books."

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't think she's talking about a friendship.

    ReplyDelete
  32. This show is really good, another fabulous episode. Peggy is such a badass!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think she had a moment with Thompson last week and learned to respect him more (as did he with her). I don't think she wanted to do that actually, not after last week's episode.

    ReplyDelete
  34. There was no reboot with MAOS. They've said Ward was planned to be Hydra from the first episode which is why he created the relationships he did with everyone on the show, including sleeping with May, who he considered to be the most dangerous person for him on the team.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I like it too but the majority of people don't. What was the last successful period drama on broadcast? I can't remember one, honestly!

    ReplyDelete
  36. In my opinion, most of the audience has been easily manipulated by that scene near the end of 1x05. Sure, what happened to Thompson sucks and no doubt he deals with a lot of guilt everyday, but I'm tired of hearing that bad things that happened to a character are an excuse for their present-day actions. Unless there's a logical correlation between the two, they shouldn't. And Thompson has never treated ANYONE, least of all Peggy, with respect, so I don't see why she should pay him that courtesy. She was nicer to him than he deserved during that mission (saying "You froze, it happens to everyone", etc.).

    ReplyDelete
  37. Such an awesome episode!!!!

    Highlights:
    - Peggy and Jarvis kicking ass in the diner and Peggy subsequently knocking out Thompson
    - Angie covering for Peggy! (Oh at the shade she threw on the SSR boys!)
