  2. The promo said this fall ..,so I guess this was the renewal

    ReplyDelete
  3. And this fall? Uggggghhhhhh

    At least it's getting renewed!!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. At the end I thought it was going to be Nate....Sam called! I think I'm "let down" that frank killed Lila! But it begs the ? WHY does frank OWE Sam?! He is annaliese's person! But I could see Sam saying you owe me to Nate! Ugh.

Loved Annaliese comforting wes AND calling him son. So maternal.

I can't wait to learn more abt Bonnie something is still shady.

I can't wait for fall. But it's February!!!! 2 more seasons to wait. Seasons!! How will we wait?! May to fall is one thing. This is ridiculous.

  5. all i have to say is damn good show

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yeah maybe Sam called Annaliese and she sent Frank??? Kinda makes more sense. But then she's really acting like she doesn't know. Hmmmm. U got my brain churning.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I forgot Oliver. So I guess he might test positive in 3 months? They did have sex before he cheated on Oliver.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Why hasn't Frank told Annalise though? Because he wants her to think Sam did it? Or he doesn't want her to know what he owed Sam for? Arghhhh, so long to wait for answers.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I guess that would explain why Annalise would want everyone to be convinced Sam did it

    ReplyDelete
  10. Does Bonnie know? Is that the greater secret Bonnie has which is why she's sure frank won't tell Annaliese abt Connor?

    ReplyDelete
  11. In my opinion this was one of the weaker episodes in the series. The 2 reveals at the end were nice, but it seemed like the episode was going nowhere for 2 hours until we finally got some answers.

I have no idea how they will keep anticipation up for next season since no one really cares about Rebecca except Wes. Hiding what happened to her wont be hard.

  12. I think wes killed rebecca out of rage. It makes sense cause he was last one down there or it was the mystery of frank

    ReplyDelete
  13. My guess is "eggs" wonder if I stands for something

    ReplyDelete
  14. I hope. But it's going to be a torturous longgggggggggg time!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. But Anna didn't know Sam was having that affair back then....so why would she send Frank or maybe she did know and played dumbw. She doesn't miss a trick.

  16. It was great. But not awesome. I was hooked but yes some parts were a lil slow like the priest part. I'm still very happy with it but 2 hours wasn't exactly what I expected.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The priest case should have been done earlier in the season. It added nothing to the finale whatsoever.

Anyway I miss the first 9 episodes of the show where literally every minute I was at the edge of my seat. The last few eps have been ok, but no where near an intense.

Maybe I'll be proven wrong and the show will be lightning again next fall.

  18. That was one hellava ride, I held my breath the entire ride, the twists and turns a serious roller coaster ride, Bonnie is not going to continue being left out of the loop, I'm still trying to figure out what she's hiding, poor Oliver I thought for a min he was negative, I hope Connor is going to be ok, a great season finale it bites this show is not going to be on my tv till the fall, should have known they'd silence Rebecca she was definetly a loose end, nice seeing Analise comforting Wes, long wait till will be back for the crazy world of Murder!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Predictions on Eggs 911? And do think they killed Rebecca?
Tbh I have no idea but I'm gonna go with Frank. And I do think Eggs killed Rebecca.

    ReplyDelete
  20. For a second i thought it was Bonnie who killed Lila not Frank WOW. Epic Season Finale!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was like 100% sure at the end it was Annaliese. I'm kind of underwhelmed it was Frank, but holy shit that was good. Rebecca too me was excepted, but I think the best scene was Laurel & Michaela I am curious to see how that will develop in season 2.

I am also waiting for Annaliese & Wes to hook up...

  22. Unbelievable season 1 finale (No Spoilers)! I enjoyed the whole 2 hours, except the damn commercials breaks.................THEY JUST KEEP INTERRUPTING THE EPISODE! That one complaint aside this finale is a "MUST SEE". 4 A MURDER FREE TRIAL, I am Nobody!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Totally drained! Wow! Where do I begin?

First off, the season ended with a strangely "moral" feel to it--which is very surprising considering the first episodes of the season, where the theme seem to be that guilty people get away with crimes if they have a good lawyer (Annalise) working for them.

In contrast, the finale had most of the seriously "morally guilty" paying for their sins: Sam did have Lila murdered--though Frank actually did the deed (Which I didn't suspect), so it "justified" his death by Wes; Rebecca, though a sympathetic character because of her disadvantaged upbringing, did drug innocent Rudy which landed him in the hospital for who knows how long. And she paid for her sins, by being murdered (again, probably by Frank) at the very end.

The argument could be made that the Keating Five are guilty of letting their emotions compromise their intellect (Wes), and engaging in a cover-up. But, their guilt is not as serious as Sam's, Frank's, and Rebecca's (remember she's also a drug dealer).

So, again, the season ended like a morality tale: even the Priest who killed the pedophile went to jail. In earlier episodes, the Priest would probably have somehow been found innocent. It's as if the show's writers wanted to balance the scales of justice in the finale, by punishing the guilty.

Next season is definitely going to be interesting: with Rebecca's "disappearance" [will Frank dismember and burn her body?] I see Wes and Laurel drifting closer together. In these last two episodes "LaWes" were clearly a "couple" and she seems to care for him. And, Annalise, who sees Wes as a son (that scene of them on the stairs at the end, with her cradling his head, has religious art overtones), may help push Wes & Laurel together--because Annalise is smart enough to see that Wes needs a strong, smart woman like Laurel to protect him from being blinded by his innocence. Plus, as I pointed out last week, Wes is upwardly mobile, and Laurel's family has already made the jump up the social ladder, in ways that Laurel doesn't totally approve of. Being with Wes gives her a chance to move-up with a partner who has her inherit goodness as a quality.

Beyond the LaWes hook-up, there are still several storylines that will need to be resolved: getting Nate cleared of murder (will Annalise pin it on the now-gone Rebecca?); how will Wes react after finding out that Rebecca has been murdered; Bonnie & Asher's relationship; Connor & Oliver's relationship; finding a new relationship for Michaela (who I was really, really proud of when she told off Adan's mother); and lastly after getting Nate off finding someone to pin Sam's murder on. My nomination is Frank's sister, Hannah--who may have had an incestuous relationship with her brother.

I can't wait until September--and next year, we need a full season. Six months is too long to wait for more of my Favorite TV Show.

  25. FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD!
    http://www.puya-subs.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/aleluya.gif

Awesome doesnt cover this episode. AND WTGH those four people voted awfull are they out of their minds?.
Who else thinks that it was Bonnie who did it?. She was pretty upset with everything that was happening and she was awfully quiet.
Olliver's news were heartbreaking, i hope Connor stays with him during this.
Laurel. I didint see that coming from all she was the one that stayed focuss on what was happening. I kind of see she is a great pair for Frank lol.
For a moment i though that she had called Griffin (him being "Eggs") and somehow he help her scape.
Wonder what will happen in the beggining of season two i like the dinamics with the flashforwards and the the regression to the story uncover little by little.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh wow. I had barely recovered from the Frank as Lila's killer reveal and we see that Rebecca is dead. I liked her, and will miss her in season 2.
    Poor Oliver.
You go Michaela, really liked how she stood up to her Aiden's mom.
Laurel is definitely the most clever of them 4. Really nice way to make sure Michaela would keep quiet.
I wonder how Asher's statement will affect them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Until something strong pushes me in another direction, I'm convinced Frank killed Rebecca. The Eggs 911 person Rebecca called will appear next season (similar to Hannah) to give Frank & Annalise fits, as they try to hide Rebecca's murder. In short: I don't believe any of the Keating Five killed Rebecca.

Laurel has always been the smartest of the students--and her having Michaela's ring was not too surprising. In fact, given her take-charge attitude, and wanting to sit at the Grown Up Table, it's totally in character. And, now that Michaela has brilliantly broken for good with Adan, she can sell the ring for a little cash.

As I say in my post, above, Excellent Season Finale. Maybe the best ever in TV history.

  28. My totally wild guess of who Eggs 911 is: Leo Lombardo, the crime family boss. Remember Rebecca pushed drugs so it's likely she was connected to Leo. He also is a skirt chaser, and may have hooked-up with Rebecca for a "taste" of some really young stuff. If Eggs 911 is Leo, it's going to really complicate Annalise & Frank (who I assume killed Rebecca) cover-up.
And adds an element of danger--you don't kill an employee of the mob.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yes, I had picked Bonnie as Lila's killer. I felt Frank-the-Fixer was Annalise's henchman, not Sam's too.

Yes, I'm a little bummed about Rebecca dying. I think Katie Findley is extremely talented, and contributed a lot to the show. But, her death creates the Laurel/Wes relationship possibility. Especially, since we now know Frank is a killer--so, we don't want him with Laurel.

    ReplyDelete
  30. that WAS AMAZING.
well, Sam did kill Lila.. indirectily but he was the one who gave the order to kill her, so Annalise and Wes are "right" in believing he killed her.

Is there a possibility of Annalise knowing it was Frank the whole time? ... reading the comments below made me wonder about it.

I knew there had to be another murder so the title of the show and the second season would make sense. I think it obvious there's going to be a murder at the end of every season...

And Rebecca.... she didn't kill Lila after all, but she's responsible for Rudy. i don't think she would've said anything to the police if she had survived at the end.

It's going to be interesting to see how the next season plays out and who the new murderer is.... don't imagine is Frank.. would be too obvious and repetitive.

  31. I don't have the words. I don't have the words.

    I CAN'T BREATHE.

  32. The finale was more emotional than action-packed. Emotional sometimes is more important than action.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ew indeed. But really... would it be surprising?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Unbelievable, Frank?! Really? I didn't expect that at all. I'm in shock

    ReplyDelete
  35. that was goodddddddddddddddddddddddddddd... that's all I can say
now the freaking wait....for it to return...

    ReplyDelete
  36. But Frank killed her at Sam's request, I think...?. And why such fidelity, especially with Annalise?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hey Twin:), There has to be commercials. The sponsors insist upon it. No sponsors,, no show,, and you really like this show,, Right?.
I'll jump right on it and send a memo out immediately to scale back on those silly interruptions.
Sent 2 msgs. 2 you. Think you can take a moment to read & answer them?

  38. Yeah, I'm sad to see Rebecca go, too. She was an intriguing character.
Add me to the list of people who didn't see Frank as the killer! But I've never quite been on board with the guy, he's always seemed a little shady to me, so at least my assumptions about him as a person have merit now!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah, waiting until fall for things sucks, and this is proof of why that is.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oliver and Connor broke my heart. The look on Connor's face when he heard the news, and the way Oliver looked so distraught... Ow. OW.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Excellent post. Well said.

It seems everyone's in agreement on the awesomeness that is Laurel. That was a genius move on her part-the look on Michaela's face when she revealed that was priceless. And I was relieved on Michaela's behalf as well-I felt so bad for her when she freaked out over the ring, so I am glad that it wasn't lost to the trash with Sam's body.
Speaking of Michaela, I have to give her her own praise, too. I've always liked her character and particularly like it when she shows her backbone, and I loved her calling out her potential mother-in-law on the real reason she wanted her son married off so badly, and finally embracing her own background and where she came from. I get the feeling said mother-in-law won't let that slide so easily, but for the time being, Michaela can revel in her little triumph over that woman.

    ReplyDelete
  42. In some ways, yes, simply because I wonder if the show would dare to go there, and yet in other ways...not so much.
If that does happen, though? I said this elsewhere, but if it is indeed proven next season (or beyond, for that matter) that Wes is Annalise's son, like many seem to think, then considering their weird boundary issues and the fact that Wes is a murderer, am I alone in having the name "Norman Bates" flash through my mind over and over?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks! And I agree. I cheered when Michaela said "He doesn't love me. But here's the thing, I love me." to Aiden's mother. Such a badass moment from her. I initially never liked Michaela but she has really grown on me these past few episodes. I'm really interested in getting some flashbacks on her and what her childhood/teenage years were like.

  44. Whoever clicked awful has lost their mind.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nice catch! That might be it. I can't believe I got the impression that it was her midway through 1.15 and I was wrong again though XD

    ReplyDelete
  46. My money was on her or Lila BUT then I remembered she interrogated Sam. Why the hell would she want him to confess. They wouldn't be having the discussion in the first place had the hit request gone through her, so nope. Nada. No way.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Holy shit!
They always say something like 'your jaw will hit the floor' and all that, but I never felt something like that, until now! That final scene made me go 'Whaaaaaaat?'
Can't wait for the next season!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'mma ask it first : who's the mysterious lawyer Nate is about to hire?! This is also killing me. Did Anna have a husband before Sam? If so, I bet it's him. It canno be just a random person.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Frank is Annalise's hit man, or fix it guy he's that guy Annalise calls on to get whatever done and who he is, is all on her, he's what Annalise wants him to be, to warrant just loyalty just what does she have on him, did you see how he got all offended when Laurel called him
Out on being a Hitman, something else, Thanks for letting me vent
    about Frank:)

    ReplyDelete
  50. That show was a rollercoaster ! So many things I didn't see coming... surprisingly, I did have my suspicions about Frank but I wasn't entirely sure it was him. Did not expect him to kill Rebecca too though :O

My life as a Law school student seems so quiet by comparison :D

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm in two minds of the whole thing. On the one hand, I liked the finale. It was a great episode. Viola Davis killed it as per usual, having week in and week out given one of the best performances on television. Aja Naomi King did her best work tonight (that scene between her and Aiden's mother) but she's always been one of the stronger supporting cast members. But Asher, I've never cared for, his character annoys and grosses me out, plus I think Matt McGrorry is one of the weakest actors in the cast (probably why he's not been giving anything serious to work with), so his Bonnie thing took up too much time for me. His character is kind of the dead weight amongst the regulars. And I don't like Oliver. Never have, so this whole AIDs storyline is not going to interest me. And it's probably going to be used purely to humanize Connor in some way, which is just cliché and trash. Sad to see Katie Findlay go, but a great twist to end the season on, and she did good work, even if people seem to like hating on her. The Frank reveal was great. Because it makes so much sense, but he was never one of my first choices. Not enough Laurel for me, mostly playing as sidekick to Wes (who I go back and forth on) in the first half, and having not enough to do in the second. Basically, a very mixed bag. But still a great episode. However, I almost feel like I could stop watching now. Sure, there's the upcoming "who killed Rebecca?" story, but at the same time that final scene feels like a rather fun ending for the show. And the only other loose threads we're left with is Nate's trial, Oliver's AIDs, and Bonnie/Asher. NONE of these things interest me. Nate is similar to Asher in that I don't see the purpose of having him around as a regular character. I hate Oliver, why has he stuck around so long? And give Bonnie something more interesting to do. So pretty much, I have no idea if I'll be watching season 2 this fall. I'll definitely watch it in the end, but I'm not all that desperate for Season 2 to hurry the hell up. Great ending. But did not leave me wanting more.
One last mention. Had hoped the finale would avoid a case of the week, but the case in the first half was a brilliant side story, and tied in brilliantly with what was going on. Best one they've had in a while.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Frank didn't kill Rebecca. That was the whole point of the final exchange. Analise assumed it was Frank, and Frank assumed it was Analise. So it means Connor, Michaela, Laurel, Wes, or Bonnie most likely did it. Or someone outside of the house, which could be more likely. But it wasn't Frank who killed Rebecca.

    ReplyDelete
  53. When I posted this, I had just finished the episode, like a minute before really so I assumed that Frank killed Rebecca but now that I got some time to think about it, no, it was not him ^^

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm confused with the last conversation between Frank and Annalise.

What do they mean with that exchange ...
That neither of them offed the person who died in the last 10 mins of the episode?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Other- FREAKING DAMN AWESOME

    ReplyDelete
  56. think the person Rebecca texted is the one that killed her-Eggs 911.
BTW, I never really liked Rebecca but today I felt bad for her.I was
shocked to see sam kinda forced frank to do his dirty work,so glad he's
DEAD.I had no idea Laurel had michaela's engagement ring this whole
    time?!?Wow!Spectacular finale!!
Now,how do we survive these 7 freakin' month long hiatus?!?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I've learned to keep my jaw up but the endings are always still shocking

    ReplyDelete
  58. Why do you hate oliver

    ReplyDelete
  59. They were asking each other if they killed Rebecca.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I find him annoying as a character. I just don't like him. And I don't see why he is supposedly a good match for Connor. And I haven't enjoyed the actor's performance since the beginning of the show, and that final scene was just as bad in my opinion. There's a lot of little things, but really it comes down to personal opinion. And I just do not like the character.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Aww I like him. I like how different him and Conner are....like Oliver tries to be a good moral person and is responsible and Conner is completely the opposite. I'm not sure I'm going to dif an HIV plot though.
