  1. Was actually more interested in what was going on twixt Sherlock and Joan than tonight's mystery in this episode.

  2. The structure of the episode (that we knew who the killer was from the first moments) made it an unusual one. The killer seemed a little too made-up with the unveiled greed, but unfortunately I knew some people like this, so I can't discard it as a too wild theory. Otherwise the case and the twists reminded me of Agatha Christie's style - which IMHO isn't a bad thing in case of a procedural.

    I wasn't really fond of the Watson-Mycroft affair of the last season, but looking back I think it had the benefit. That affair closed the romance possibilities between them, maybe not forever, but for a long time. From that point on the writers needed to explore other conflicts and that made their relationship one of the most intriguing ones.
