Thanks to Tyler for the heads up.

Ariel will reportedly be back in this half of the season, but what other characters will be making an appearance?

Kitsis: We’re going to see people from Robin Hood. We’re going to see the Sheriff of Nottingham again.

Horowitz: We’ll be diving into some of the Robin Hood mythology.

Kitsis: Barbara Hershey is coming back as Cora.

  2. I'M SO EXCITED!!! Cora was always my favorite villain!

Crazy theory. What if Marian is actually Cora (Why not? People seem to think she’s Zelena). Think about it. Marian seems to always be screwing up Regina’s love life and as Cora says, Love is Weakness.

Plus it’s totally Cora’s thing to appear as other people.

  3. We are seeing so many awesome people this half of the season, Zelena, more Ariel and now Cora. Hopefully Anna will show up and we'll find out what really happened to Will and Wonderland.

  6. This was really exciting. She is back but in another character. I am looking forward for more twist to this TV series that i been watching since season 1.

  7. nah we saw her die, unless you mean a PAST cora?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Cora can't touch Emma remember?

  9. Cora, the Wicked witch, the Queens of darkness... This will be one hell of an awesome second part of season 4

  10. Yes, we saw her die. But since then Emma & Hook have changed the past. The time period that they went back to and bought 'Marian' back from, Cora would have still been alive.

    ReplyDelete
  11. so you DO mean a past Cora?

  12. "We’re going to see the Sheriff of Nottingham again."

Who didn't thought for a second that Graham will be back?

  13. Cora!!! So excited!

  14. I was waiting for this yessssssssss!!! More HeartGold moments I hope + I adore Cora

  15. Not me because they have confirmed numerous times over the past few weeks that he won't be back.

And Jamie didn't play the Sheriff of Nottingham. Wil Traval does.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah, but when I saw 'sheriff' I thought it was Graham.

  17. HELL YEAH. I love Cora, one of the only proper villains on this show.

  18. Awesome news! This half of the season is gonna be so good, so many great characters coming back, Zelena, Cora, Mulan, Ariel, I can't wait!

  19. My thoughts on the article, which I originally left in its page:
"God damn it, not only do Adam and Eddy ALWAYS give the same answers regarding the general themes of the half-season (what makes a hero a hero and a villain a villain, not everything's black-and-white, yadda yadda), they now get asked the exact same questions they'd been asked before, to make sure they repeat their points even more? I'm sorry but this is just sucky. The only new news we got from this post was the return of Barbara Hershey. Everything else is stuff we knew already. The very fact that whoever conducted the interview asked AGAIN how Cruella, who shouldn't have magical powers, fits into the Queens of Darkness... UGH! We've known for months now she'd have magic, and we even saw it in that sneak peek. Prepare the interview better, SPINOFF. This was a frustrating read. I'm sorry, but after 10-15 articles on this show over the past 2 weeks that all say the basic crap I am kinda done with reading up on my favorite show. It gets saturating."

Another thing: please don't lynch or brand me as a hater, but when I saw Hershey was returning I kinda rolled my eyes. I love Cora and think Barbara is great but Jesus effing Christ why is she back AGAIN? OUaT keeps misusing its characters. I'd much rather see more of the supporting characters like Archie and Mother Superior (fat chance!) than have Cora return for the nth time.

  20. Mulan is not coming back this half-season.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Aw what, I thought they said ages ago that she was.

  22. Cora only couldn't rip off Emma's Heart, because it was full of white magic, opposite to hers, dark - s02e09 "Queen of Hearts"

  23. YAY! Please give us some more Cora and Will time too please!

  24. Would be cool, I would have to check, or maybe you have, but I think Cora may have been in Wonderland/traveling realms during the time Emma & Hook went back to the Enchanted Forest...

On the other hand, if you're right, then Wonderland might have been effected also and maybe we'll get to the bottom of Will Scarlet's current story....

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well, he have a big gap which they may want to shorten somehow. In theory she SHOULD be in Wonderland given that it's during the time period after Regina pushed her through the looking glass but before Hook took her back just before the curse was cast. So there's quite a few years in there. And now that OuaTiW has aired and the rabbit came into existence to open up portals to travel between worlds, well, who knows what Eddy & Adam will do.

Or perhaps they'll just ignore the timeline all together like they often do to. ;)

  26. We just need an announcement of Robbie Kay and we'll have had all the big bads back in some capacity this season (well, except for Greg & Tamara but they were just working for Pan so they don't count).

And then to top things off, the season will end with Jafar appearing. I bet anything.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Now that would be an arc to remember!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah, love Cora, favourite villain, after Regina of course. 4B looks awesome, with all the characters appearing and the story, they can do a masterpiece here.

  29. "I love Cora and think Barbara is great but Jesus effing Christ why is she back AGAIN?

I can guess for multiple reasons

    1. If the idea is that some of the villains can get happy endings, then this could pertain greatly to Regina. We believe the idea is that Author can write/draw happy endings for anyone, allegedly change fate, but the truth is we don't know exactly how that works, but what if it relies on also changing something in the past. Regina's unhappiness stems greatly from Cora's choices. So weather it's a compromise or simply Regina's happy ending includes being happy with her own mother, you could see how vital Cora is to Regina.

    2. That being said we know Zelena may be back too. Some of us theorize that she never died, because it was too easy and there is ton of missing back story, Again what if Zelena's happiness relies on wanting to know her mother.
    .
    3. Going with Taylor James theory above, what if Cora is the one to escape from the portal of the past and not Zelena like some of us think and she either wants to get back at one of the Queens of Darkness, Rumple, or just wants her own happy ending?

    4. They mention Robin Hood connection here, which is kind of bizar, because Will Scarlet via Anastasia's pleading became apart of Robin's Men in order to raid Maleficent's castle to steel a Looking Glass that was the portal to Wonderland, where after a falling out between Will and Ana, Cora separately manipulates and tutors Anastasia (like a daughter) to become The Red Queen and Will Scarlet eventually becomes her servant: The Knave of Hearts. From season 2, Hook mentions that Cora was trying to travel realms when she was The Queen of Hearts, and somehow Will ended up back in the enchanted forest after Alice helps him get his heart back from Cora, because he, unlike Anastasia, becomes apart of Regina's curse...WE didn't see a lot of Cora's story and Will happens to be here and separated from Ana once again, despite that Alice's story book (a flash forward from 2 or 3 yrs from now) suggests they lived happily ever after (fun author writer juxtaposition). Note: Regina's curse was really stolen from Maleficent...where did she get it from/where does it really originate??

    5. Next to Rumple, The Sorcerer, the Blue Fairy, and the Author, Cora seems to be a character that could be equally essential to the Enchanted Forest's past and mythological roots along with having access to other lands it's magic. Wonderland also gave us mythos that both defies and personified OUAT's mythos. And if Cora knows any of that, such as Nyxe and The Well of Wonders, there could be another interesting development, even though I don't expect the writers to go there.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah, I've been missing her :) Glad she's back. Maybe a Wonderland flashback with Will? I'd be so happy for that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. In one of the last interviews, the writers said that they have some great storylines for Mulan, but they will be in the next season, and she won't appear this season, as there are already too much old/new characters in focus.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Robbie Kay and... Sebastian "Mad Hatter" Stan.

    ReplyDelete
  33. At some point, I would think it will have to be her in the flesh, otherwise BH would not be needed to reprise the role. It could easily be flashbacks, but would be way more fun to see her in the present!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Imaine this annouce in promo: "You have Grey, but we have 50 shades of Cora. Next week we'll gonna see one of her... shades". *pun intended*

    ReplyDelete
  35. What's with everyone returning except Pan? Don't get me wrong, happy as a young one, but I really want Kay back.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh, right, yeah.... Except, what?

    ReplyDelete
  37. "next season" has Season 5 been confirmed?

    ReplyDelete
  38. No, but sites say it's a safe bet. ABC have only renewed How To Get Away With Murder yet, no other shows.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You may have meant to be rhetorical, but you did ask...

In short there could be many reasons for her return, because she relates to a lot of things already and is more emotionally important to two main cast members.

But Marian did try to get out of the way of Regina and Robin's relationship... Why would she do that if she wanted to ruin Regina's love life?

    ReplyDelete
  41. exactly, the way to corrupt someone is through their heart and Cora can't touch Emma's

    ReplyDelete
  42. we know his backstory with Cora, so that won't be new, his backstory with Hood WOULD be new, we didn't see how they first met

    ReplyDelete
  43. Cora was in Wonderland at the time Emma and Hook showed up in the past

    ReplyDelete
  44. the less Hook the better for me #sorrynotsorry

    ReplyDelete
  45. i meant Robin Hood not Hook

    ReplyDelete
  46. i thought people hated the Pan arc?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh sorry :) This sounds better

    ReplyDelete
  48. what sounds better? i'm confused LOL

    ReplyDelete
  49. Backstory of Will and Robin

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm sure there have been a few ( maybe it's the majority ) who hated the Pan arc. I loved it

    ReplyDelete
  51. Same here xD I care about Will's backstory the most right now, and also how he got back to Storybrook and why

    ReplyDelete
  52. Omg wht if Cora comes back for good and ends up with Mr .gold
