ABC has greenlighted Madoff, a miniseries about Bernie Madoff. Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss is set to play the disgraced financier in the project, from ABC News’ Lincoln Square Prods, which was also behind last year’s ABC limited series The Assets. Inspired by ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross’ reports and his book The Madoff Chronicles, the mini chronicles the rise and spectacular fall of the imprisoned swindler and the $65 billion Ponzi scheme he concocted. Sounds like the type of drama that might get some Emmy attention, but I can't see many people watching this.
