  1. Looks good! Didn't know Penn Badgley was in it, another reason to watch it.

  2. Was Uma Therman not in this promo? Everything went by so fast, maybe I didn't catch her.

  3. It looked pretty good to me! Has a great cast, I'll DVR this since I watch Greys Anatomy live.

  4. I see her in the title card at the very right.

  5. I meant in the scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Oh, then I don't think I saw her, it did go by fast.

  7. It depends on what fails3 January 2015 at 16:19

Looks good, definitely better than NBC fall shows but how it is going to fit in american TV? We know if it does well, it's not going to be a minisseries.

  8. Greenblatt was really fixating that it's a miniseires. He even made fun of CBS calling UtD a miniseries.

  9. looks intense. I'm in.

  10. Parenthood 2.0? Anyways, if this premieres with a 2.0 it will hurt Grey's more than TBBT has.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Erm, how exactly is this Parenthood 2.0
And I don't see it premiere even close to 2.0. Mid to low 1s most likely.

    ReplyDelete
  12. It looks like Parenthood. Aren't they a family? I've only seen the name and the promo of this show, just like most of the people who will watch the promos on TV, and that is what it looks like. Maybe they should release a promo saying what it is about if it's not about a family. I know it's almost impossible for it to get a 2, but if it did it would hurt GA

  13. If you mean by a dark, dramatically intense of Parenthood, I can see your point a bit.

  14. Anthology series. New cast each year with a new incident. Not sure what they would call the show in season 2 though.

  15. Well, they are not one single family. Here is a short synopsus from NBC's website: It's Hector's 40th birthday, and his wife is throwing him a big party with lots of friends, family and food for what will undoubtedly be a happy, celebratory day. Or so they think. As Hector tries to navigate family politics, awkward friendships and the younger woman he's secretly seeing on the side, the built-up tension explodes when Hector's hotheaded cousin slaps another couple's misbehaving child. Everyone is understandably stunned, and the party abruptly ends - with the child's parents vowing legal action as they leave. But what the hosts and guests don't know is that this moment will ignite a chain of events that will uncover long-buried secrets within this group of friends and family... and vigorously challenge the core values of everyone involved.

It's a remake of an Australian series. US remakes haven't really worked in recent years, so I don't see this doing any better.

  16. Another completely unnecessary remake.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't think this will work either.
And I thought of it as Parenthood 2.0 cause the first thing I saw of the show after the name was the promo, which didn't explain what it is about and opened with the words "even in the most normal FAMILIES" + it premieres on the same network as PH and 2 weeks after its finale. I think a lot of people will think of PH when they see this promo on TV. And btw, I've never seen PH.

  18. This looks so much better than Gracepoint. I think this will do pretty well

  19. So NBC finally has a good Thursday night

  20. S1: The Slap, S2: The Kick, S3: The Punch, etc...

    ReplyDelete
  21. I thought that the book that the Aussie show was based on had a racial element. Did I misremember that or has that been dropped?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm shocked no one is here going "OMG child beater" I mean it looks great but I know what some people are like with supposed sexism to women on OMG Stalker.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That must hurt D: looks interesting. But that name made me think of a reality show on vh1 or something xD

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not my cup of tea, but I might see some people like it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Expect the PTC to call out the rounds.

    ReplyDelete
  26. That must've been one heck of a slap by Zach Quinto!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Now I have 3 more shows to watch on Thursdays in addition of the 4 shows I watch on the night.

    ReplyDelete
  28. What shows do you watch on Thursday now?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Why do you want to know? jk
I watch TGIT, Gracepoint, some other show I don't remember

    ReplyDelete
  30. I will be watching NBC live (Slap, Blacklist, and Allegiance) and I'll be DVRing Scandal and HTGAWM (only 5 episodes left).

I wont be watching Idol or TBBT so it makes Thursday night pretty easy for me.

    ReplyDelete
  31. What other shows will you watch this Spring?

    ReplyDelete
  32. New or current shows.

    ReplyDelete
  33. S18: The Yell (Yeah, we're running out).

    ReplyDelete

  35. For me-

Sunday: Walking a Dead, Game of Thrones, Odyssey (DVR Battle Creek, Bob's Burgers and occasionally watch B99)

Monday: Gotham, Night Shift (DVR Better Call Saul)

Tuesday: Undateable, One Big Happy (DVR Chicago Fire)

Wednesday: The Mysteries of Laura (DVR Chicago PD)

Thursday: The Slap, The Blacklist, Allegiance (DVR Scandal, HTGAWM)

    Friday: Hannibal

I may have missed a show or two. But if any of the new shows are DOA I'm gonna drop them.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Are those all the shows you watch?

    ReplyDelete
  37. That's all the shows I will probably watch this Spring.

I will also DVR Fargo and binge on House of Cards during the weekends.

If American Crime is good I might check that out as well.

  38. Although I do like her. Melissa George playing the same character here as she did in the original seems a little pointless. Then again, this entire miniseries seems pointless. I had been hoping they were going to keep the basic premise and have different characters / change the storylines or outcomes, but the more I see and hear, it seems they're just sticking to the original. Which was good, but why remake if you're not going to make it your own? Although if George is as good in this as she was in the original, I may as well give this a watch.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think it's definitely a miniseries. Based on Sarsgard and Thurman's involvement. Movie stars can be odd about committing to anything beyond guest or one off roles.

I agree about Melissa George. Although this got me wondering about what happened with the Sam Hunter series she was supposed to be starring in.

  40. S28: The Scratch

    ReplyDelete
  41. I hope this isn't a direct remake, hopefully they change it up a bit,but from what I've seen it's the same as the original....

    ReplyDelete
  42. You watch a lot of tv. lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. In reality I'll be DVRing most of them. I don't have the time to watch a lot of these shows live.

    ReplyDelete
  44. S31: The Wink (Schucks, the other guy deleted his comments)

    ReplyDelete
  45. S34: In danger of cancellation

    ReplyDelete
  46. S35: The Jump (The Final Season or is it?)

    ReplyDelete
  47. S36: The D*ck (Cancelled, Picked up by N*tflix)
