The first Teaser Hangman has been worked out - you can find it here. So here is the second one for you to work on, along with cryptic clues about its subjects. Good luck!

The hangman has been solved, well done everyone!

The first picture clue has been solved. Simara + mirror image = Aramis

The second picture clue has been solved. Oaths + scrambled letters = Athos

Aramis is the main Musketeer highlighted this week - although all of them have some sort of character development. He and Emilie develop a spiritual and close relationship, as you would expect from two people holding the deep-seated beliefs they do. Athos is vital to the main story and also shares personal time with d’Artagnan, while Porthos receives unexpected news.

B and W won the first poll and have been added

A and A' like Aramis and Anne? Sorry, I have to see Annamis everywhere :D

    ReplyDelete
  3. LOL.....I see Annamis everywhere too!
    I'm excited for this hangman!!!

Yes, me too! I hope there will be Annamis in this episode!! It must be!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Aramis' scheme... maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Who needs letters? I'm just gonna start guessing. Does the first sentence by any chance start with "Aramis is the main character represented this time"? And there's a d'Artagnan hiding in sentence number 3 methinks.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Simara is Aramis backwards, Aramis plots?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Is that a Venn diagram Sandi? So, I'm thinking it is a reference to the actor, Charles Venn. Does the first clue have something to do with Charles? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Welcome to the site Bunnery! You've solved it without realising it there I think, lol. Simara is the first clue, and mirror image is the second = Aramis. Well done, that's one of the subject's of the hangman :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. I think there's definitely a D'Artagnan in there. Always good news.😄

    ReplyDelete
  11. Not if you finally wanna get some Aramis news! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Haha kynikey!😄 there'll be lots of deliciousness for you to enjoy I'm sure.

    ReplyDelete
  13. That was quick kynikey. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm properly motivated now. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's amazing what can be done with a bit of motivation ;)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I was just thinking kynikey's on fire. Could that be because of a certain *r*m**?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Do you think she will share him??? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  18. That was amazingly clever and so quick Bunnery! Welcome.:)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hehe, I don't think we need a cryptic clue to answer that one! :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thanks Scoobie and Sandi! Happy to be here - I'm totally hooked on this show!!! (Especially Constance and D'Artagnan!)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hey, look at it like this: d'Artagnan's aaaall yours. Win/win?

    ReplyDelete
  22. That's so unfair, there's two of us to share d'Artagnan! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'll take him on days of the week ending in "Y" lol.:) On the plus side, the boy never tires....ask Constance...:)

    ReplyDelete
  24. That would indeed be an epic win!:) There is this curly haired red head...but I could take her...lol

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm sure you'll find a way to share that's a bit more...fair than Scoobie's suggestion. ;) On the other hand, she IS right about the endless energy, so I'm sure you'll be fine ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Who might be having her eye on a certain Mr. Ed, so she doesn't count right now. Plus: you snooze, you lose, Constance.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ah, that sounds like a better deal than Scoobie's! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. The fifth word could also be 'Musketeer'....?

There had better be a D'Artagnan in there! :P

    ReplyDelete
  29. We can negotiate.:)

    ReplyDelete
  30. *cough* Three..... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  31. See, there HAD to be an advantage of being surrounded by d'Art-girls. No competition! :D

    ReplyDelete
  32. Only if she's got conjunctivitis. I think he's got no chance. I've a feeling she'd scratch my eyes out...and she's got the wallop, Aramis knows all about that. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh no...I knew I should have chosen Athos or Porthos. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Totally true! (to part 1). We all know my feelings about part 2...lol (not that I don't like him, I just don't like him as much as Aramis...)

    ReplyDelete
  35. We're going to have to clone him.:)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Come on, weren't we talking about proper motivation earlier? Properly motivated, I'm sure you can take her. Plus, you know it's three against one.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Brilliant Bunnery. Another member of team Constagnan! Our current motto, "It's got to get better than this!" :) We're hoping it'll soon be replaced by, "AGAIN!"

    ReplyDelete
  38. As if there aren't enough of you already... ;) Where's all the Aramis love? (Oh wait, that's me) Where's all the Athos and Porthos love?!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Next stop...world domination....:)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Better than having to share! :D

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm still feeling burned by Marian dying in Robin Hood (7 years later!) so I'm very worried about our poor Constance. :( I'm praying she doesn't suffer the same fate as in the book.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Cloning would be good ;)

    ReplyDelete
  43. So this is where this cloning business is going....I see....

    ReplyDelete
  44. I like Aramis, but he just doesn't hit the spot with me. I'll keep fighting the other ladies for the young 'un!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Plus I could throw in Constance Kryptonite, if he dies she's skint. She'd have MANY happy memories but hey, memories won't pay the rent sister.....:)

    ReplyDelete
  46. The one thing we know about Aramis is that he can hit the spot....lol.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well, he certainly hit mine ;)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hold on Helen and I are losing the signal in our under-ground lair.....

    ReplyDelete
  49. That would be horrible and we're all keeping our fingers crossed that Constance will be with us for some time to come.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Multiple Madame D'Artagnan's all with massive grins on our faces...

    ReplyDelete
  51. The only thing stupider than Marian's death in Robin Hood was how they ended the show with everyone ELSE dying. It was ludicrous! So yes, here's hoping some common sense has been found in the meantime and they know to leave Constance well alone. :/

    ReplyDelete
  52. Certainly to kill off Constance after a series loaded with so much angst, would be a really poor decision. We need to see these two finding some degree of happiness together. That gives you the sense of jeopardy you need if you're going to, in any way threaten their future. Right now, they don't have one. I think however, that will soon change and they will be reunited.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yeh, but can you say 'Matthew Crawley'? Downton spent three torturous, agony-filled, heart-wrenching seasons getting him and Lady Mary together, then finally they're married, happy, yada yada, and the day his son's born...wham. Car crash. End of. My faith in the phrase 'they've been through too much to end now' is permanently dented. I trust no one, least of all script writers. :(

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh, the directions this conversation could go in. ;) Best I stop now and get back to the hangman!! :P

    ReplyDelete
  55. At least they had some happiness. So far Constagnan have had a handful of kisses, some pretty seismic sex, we presume, then a whole lot of emotional ping pong. At the moment, they're all over the place. There's so much that needs to be rebuilt before you can even consider taking a sledgehammer to it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Once we get that first letter kynikey will have it solved! :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I have faith that they won't follow the book on that..totally agree with you about Marian's death on Robin Hood. :(

    ReplyDelete
  58. Back to the hangman would be great guys please. Otherwise there'll be so many posts to go through in here that I won't be able to see what's what when it comes to updating it :)

We do have a general off-topic discussion post you can use for more general chatter here if you want - http://www.spoilertv.com/2015/01/the-spoilertv-community-open-discussion.html

    ReplyDelete
  59. He is rather gorgeous ;)

    ReplyDelete
  60. But Downton Abbey is more of a realistic drama/soap opera so it didn't come out of left field to me as much. Robin Hood was a lighthearted adventure/romance - killing the heroine was completely out of character for the show. Plus - the entire plot had been built around the love triangle between her, Robin and Guy! (Grrr - still makes me mad!) I am trying to steel myself for the possibility of Constance dying because of the book, but if she does - as with Robin Hood I would never ever watch another episode (I even gave away my RH season 1 boxed dvd set). I have zero interest in the show without Costagnan.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm going to go with Kynikey and guess we've got "Aramis is the main character/musketeer......" in the first sentence. Beyond that I'm already stumped!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Well, considering we don't even have a letter yet, I think we're doing ok! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  63. That, he most definitely is....

    ReplyDelete
  64. How about, "Aramis is the main musketeer unconcerned about...."

    ReplyDelete
  65. 'Cough' four....

    ReplyDelete
  66. I hope there will be something !!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Alright, due to the "w" I guess I'll amend yesterday's guess to "Aramis is the main character represented this week"

    ReplyDelete
  68. Very close, just about to do the update which will help with that bit I think :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Aramis is the main Muskteer highlighted this week?

    ReplyDelete
  70. "...although all of them have (or play?) some part in [no idea] [even less of an idea]."

Sorry for giving you these cryptic parts, but I'm kinda slow today and I'm happy about every word I can be sure is right...lol

    ReplyDelete
  71. Haha you can never have enough constagnan fans!

    ReplyDelete
  72. That sounds good to me kynikey. Sorry, I've not been much help today! At the moment, I have pure guesswork for the other two lines, but hopefully with the next letter, I'll be able to help. :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hhmm..."with D'Artagnan" in the second last line?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yes, I thought that too :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Next word could be 'while' or 'which'? I'm so bored with the friggin' football booting our boys off, so I've been sitting here staring at the hangman instead.I need a life. :(

    ReplyDelete
  76. Same here - been watching on iPlayer as well! I'm wondering if the last word of the 3rd sentence is 'news'? Hopefully, the next letter will be up soon. :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. I just got off work, so I'll go update now :)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Is that 'come/with/'d'Artagnan' now for the 3rd line? Also, looks like 3rd word of 2nd line could be 'Emilie'.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Possibly 'He/and/Emilie' for start of 2nd line?

    ReplyDelete
  80. ***m/*w*/ = /them/two/ ?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Just heading off for bed, but possibly " He/and/Emilie/discuss/a/ceasefire"? This could be totally wrong!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Might be /time/with/d'Artagnan/...

    ReplyDelete
  83. / **/***/*m****/*******/*/*********/

/he/and/Emilie/discuss/a/ceasefire/ - Probably not, but it fits nicely! :P

    ReplyDelete
  84. I think we posted the same thing at the same time! Getting spooky.....!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Could the second last word be 'ultimately?

    ReplyDelete
  86. I thought the last part of sentence three might be "while [? Porthos maybe?] receives unexpected news."

    ReplyDelete
  87. Probably completely off-base, but "Athos is vexed by the move" as start of sentence no. 3?

    ReplyDelete
  88. /Athos/is/v****/**/***/m***/*****/***/****/before/spending/time/with/D’artagnan/

    ReplyDelete
  89. Ok, that was me, why do I show up as a Guest? Weird.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Can't be, b and g have already been used

    ReplyDelete
  91. Ditto with the 'b'.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Haha! Right. So that's definitely not it.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I saw it was you when you posted, not Guest, although it's there now. Bit odd.

    ReplyDelete
  94. OK, then how about this. ../as/you/would*/expect/from/two/people..../

    ReplyDelete
  95. Now that I can get behind! :) (And makes a lot more sense than what I've come up with so far...lol). Might the "b" word towards the end of the sentence maybe be "beliefs"?

    ReplyDelete
  96. I said that! Does it not show up in what I posted? There's something techy screwy going on today! I put:

    /as/you/would/expect/from/two/people/having/the/deep-seated/beliefs/they/do./

    ReplyDelete
  97. Ah! No, your post seems to stop after "people". :( The site really doesn't seem to like us today. But that might definitely be it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  98. And for the first part of the sentence (with big gaps to fill still) maybe something along the lines of:
    He/and/Emilie/*******/a/spiritual/and/*****/relationship

    ReplyDelete
  99. Could the m word be many?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Could the final words be :discover/unforeseen/news?

    ReplyDelete
  101. I'm still thinking "while Porthos receives unexpected news", but Sandi hasn't been around yet, so no idea if that's right. It seems, though, that the last sentence deals with the "other three" ;)

    ReplyDelete
  102. Anyone got any ideas on the picture clue? The second pic is 'letters' (I hope!) so maybe tied in with the last sentence about news, but the first?

    ReplyDelete
  103. I totally suck at the picture clues, so I'm not even gonna try...lol

    ReplyDelete
  104. Maybe second picture means Alphabet Letters or just letter.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Maybe for the last sentence: Athos is vital to/in the main story and also spends ******** time with d’Artagnan, while Porthos recieves unexpected news. ??
(any other ideas for the "v****" word?)

    ReplyDelete
  106. Is the first picture an oath or promise? Or like being sworn in? Lol, just thinking out loud :p

    ReplyDelete
  107. Could the second picture clue be Athos? That the first picture could be "oaths" in plural, because there is lot of people. And the second picture could be mixed letters, showing us that we need mixed letters in the first word. And when we mixed letters in oaths, we can get Athos. I am not sure with using the word "mixed" is right, because english in not my first language, but I hope that you understand what I mean by it.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Sounds good.😄

    ReplyDelete
  109. Sorry, I'm not about much on Friday and Saturdays, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  110. How about "Athos is vital to the main story and also ? Soending time with D'artagnan. While Porthos receives unexpected news"

    ReplyDelete
  111. Totally spooky :) I've been out all day but looks like the hangman is coming on nicely now ;)

    ReplyDelete
  112. How about "Athos is vital to the main story and also spends valuable time with D'artagnan. While Porthos receives unexpected news"

    ReplyDelete
  113. Woohoo! I got something right! :P

    ReplyDelete
  114. You've been brilliant Knitty. I can't hit a barn door on this one!😄

    ReplyDelete
  115. Could the missing word be "brotherly"?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Is the missing word 'close' from the second sentence? .../'close/relationship/...

    ReplyDelete
  117. I'm exhausted. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  118. Makes sense! I still think the last missing word is "develop", but since that can't be, we're still one word short here...or has someone else guessed it and I missed it?

    ReplyDelete
  119. /Personal time/?

    ReplyDelete
  120. That could definitely work. It makes sense that these two, whom we know develop a closer bond during this series, may confide in each other about their respective issues. I actually think it might be interesting and enlightening for D'Artagnan to hear Athos' struggle to come to terms with Milady, not only being back but sleeping with the King. Although they're very different circumstances, it may benefit him and give him some perspective, to hear from a man who has been repeatedly cheated on and deceived by his wife and who not only has to live with the reality that not only a young man he views as a brother but his own sovereign have both slept with the woman he remains tortured by.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I'm very excited by these hints of their relationship developing further. They really are more alike than they realise and such a friendship will benefit them both a great deal. Next to Constagnan, Athos and D'Artagnan are my favourite pairing, and it'd be lovely to see them have a special closeness like Porthos and Aramis do.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I'd love to see D'Artagnan's friendship with Athos develop further, it was touched on during S1 - most notably in The Challenge - but it didn't quite have the depth that the Aramis / Porthos friendship did - though with Athos being the most 'closed off" of the four, that is probably understandable..

    ReplyDelete
  123. One of D'Artagnan's main problems is his inability to understand that things aren't always straightforward and his hot headed reaction to his frustrations. That is a undoubtedly a result of his immaturity. If anyone can help him grasp the complexity of life, it's Athos.a

    ReplyDelete
  124. I think Porthos is the only one with his head screwed on when it comes to romance, lol.. He doesn't fall for married women, the Queen of France or murderesses.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  125. That's only because his heart really belongs to Aramis. :P

    ReplyDelete
  126. That's the one. I'll sort the post out :)

    ReplyDelete
  127. New love interest for Aramis...?

    ReplyDelete
  128. i hope Porthos receive good news.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Really? You sure? Huh. Would have been interesting to see him have one.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I doubt it. With what's been hinted at by Treville and General De Fois about his father and whatever terrible secret they've kept from him, I think dear Porthos is headed for some pretty traumatic revelations soon. :(

    ReplyDelete
  131. Aramis has got enough woman trouble as it is without adding another to the mix! In fact it wouldn't surprise me if, following the news about Adele, the fate of Isobel and his rather gigantic faux pas in sleeping with the Queen, it wakes him up to how dangerous his charms can be and makes him more wary in future of getting involved.

    ReplyDelete
  132. You´re probably right. I would just like to see him happy and in love for once. But, alas, there is time for that later.

    ReplyDelete
  133. i think sadly the problem with Aramis is he probably never WILL be happy and in love like that. He seems to have realised this himself, in the conversation with Anne at the convent when he understood how wrong he'd been about his relationship with Isobel. He'd seen what he wanted to see as a young, in-love romantic, instead of grasping the true, cold reality of the situation. Until he's reconciled himself with this, and met someone available who doesn't buy into the flirtatious/womanising/charming routine but sees the man BEHIND it all, as Anne did in that scene, I think it will be hard for him to find that happiness. :(

    ReplyDelete
  134. I'm really loving the sound of this episode. It feels like everything is now being set up for the remainder of the series. I think you're right Knitty42. I think he'll receive news that his father is still alive.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Poor Porthos . He respect Treville. Treville betrayal be very painfull to him

    ReplyDelete
  136. Like Knitty says, he's already got more than enough woman trouble on the go as it is really. I think it's good that they don't keep piling his plate ever higher without dealing with what is there already.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Ah, you make a very good point, or points, as the case may be.
