    There are a lot of different villains on this show who exhibit the same douchey arrogance. The writers need to be a little more creative and less repetitive.

    Not only are the personalities similar but he beats them the same ways too. It's kind of annoying that the most creative use of his speed was in the Pilot.

    Yeah. I'm even having difficulty believing that Barry should have any trouble at all taking this guy, or Fire & Ice last week, down. They're practically standing still most of the time and it's not like any of these people have motor skills fast enough to keep up with Barry's speed.

    Well the Cold part makes sense since the Cold Gun literally slows down the molecules around it. So Barry's speed stops working, and it was a really combined area. Plus no matter how fast you are or heal fire hurts a lot. It makes sense. Now if Barry had his comic powers less so.

    That's not the way they played it on the show. The only time the weapons had an effect on Barry were when there was direct contact with the substances from the weapons or when Barry ran on ice. Defeating those two could have literally been as easy as taking a bag of baseballs to the fight and whipping them at those two at super-speed.

    That would be cool, but I still prefer the eddie saving Barry bit. Even more if as I suspect, it's a way to set-up a Zoloman style origin.

    That's fine. I'm cool with all of that. I only wish the writers would find a way to do it that was more respectful of the audience's intelligence.
