No mention of the Queen of TV? She's truly the best as she graced us with her presence.

Mhhm best TV character. You have all named great names. I am on board with Barney from HIMYM, Buffy and Tyrion, Dexter and White (even if I have not seen Breaking Bad), Sheldon (TBBT), Picard and Spock
    I would like to ad:
    Jack Bristow from Alias
    Mythos from Highlander
    O'Neill Stargate SG1
    potentially:
    John Diggle from Arrow

  6. Agree with many of your picks. Great discussion! You're right – the comedies are tough. In general, there's not as much character development or depth, but some of the characters are great (and certainly iconic) for other reasons.

    A few additional:

    Michael Scott
    House
    Barney Fife
George Costanza (I'd actually choose him over Jerry and Kramer, but arguments can be made for all three)
    Archie Bunker

  7. My list:
    Sydney & Jack Bristow (Alias)

    Piper Halliwell (Charmed)
    Brooke Davis (OTH)
    Blair Waldorf (Gossip girl)
    Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf)
Neal Caffrey, Peter Burke, Mozzie (White Collar)

    Ben Linus - "LOST"
Number Six (The Prisoner) - "The Prisoner" (Be seeing you ;) )
    Homer Simpson - "The Simpson's" (D'Oh!)
Walter White - "Breaking Bad" (I am the one who knocks!)
John Locke - "LOST" (Don't tell me what I can't do!)
    Bart Simpson - "The Simpson's)
Lisa Simpson - "The Simpson's) ... Ok, Every Simpson Family Member
    Jerry Seinfeld - "Seinfeld"
