  1. I enjoyed it. I really did. I mean sure this show has been downhill for awhile, but tonight was different. It felt like they were back at square one, just with more growth in a way. I think I felt the "growth" part when Will and Rachel were having that heart to heart in the auditorium. Btw...Baby Schuester soo freaking cute! Those chunky monkey cheeks! And Sue honestly hasn't lost it. I think she was my favorite part through the first hour. She just had me cracking up. My Second favorite part of the first hour...the originals reunion of course. It felt sooo good to see them together. Sam asking Mercedes if she was still a virgin, was hilarious. That was so Sam.

I'm not even going to comment on the relationship that is Kurt's worst nightmare. Knew that already, but damn his reaction killed me. Klaine ftw! B/c c'mon they're totally ending up together!

The second hour, was a little more fun. I loved the Take On Me performance (as I already seen it in the sneak peek). And idk about that girl. Jane, the one who wanted to join the Warblers. Idc for her voice. But I love that song so it was entertaining. And I'm sorry, but I was with the Warblers on this one. I mean it's an All boys private school, what did she think was gonna happen??? I get what they wanted to do, "send the message" and all that. But c'mon, I just felt that was a little much, so when they denied her I was proud. But when Blaine said he'd fight for her, I rolled me eyes, b/c it was sooo predictable. Including her move to New Directions. And their final decision to let her in.

And seriously...WHYYYY is Becky still around???? I've wanted her gone for sooo long. She seriously has NO purpose on this show anymore. She's incredibly annoying, and her lines aren't even funny anymore. They used to be comedic gold (well not really) and now there just so inappropriate and misplaced, with incredibly unnecessary timing. I like that Straight-Gay kid. (What's his name?) That's new. I liked his scene with Kurt in the locker room, his whole speech was very refreshing. I liked how he stuck it (no pun intended) to Sue. I feel he'll be around for a good 6 episodes.

All in all. I just enjoyed seeing the original cast, and the lightness of the episode. But it really did feel like the beginning of the end for me. Their ages are starting to show (especially the Cheerios Trio scene, I mean wow, wtf was that? Santana you still kill it though) you can tell the cast is ready to move on.

I also enjoyed some dialog, Roger's voice, and the Warblers performance of SING. When Blaine asked if most of them were gay, and they VERY femininely denied it. I LOL'D. It's okay gays, it's okay. That was funny. I'll always love Rachel and Kurt's friendship and speaking of Rachel, her show was atrocious!! Lmaooo.

Anyways, I look forward to the rest of the season. I really did miss this show. Let's hope they go out with a bang!

  2. Loser Like Me was pretty alright. It was as good a return to this story as we were every going to get. I kind of like seeing Rachel and Kurt at their lows.

Homecoming was lackluster pandering. Bring back the alums, then do basically nothing with them; introduce new characters who will go nowhere; acknowledge the shows' flaws in a satirical light, but refuse to rectify them. Also, the sketchbook moments to emphasize the music video recreation were awful.

Is it just me, or did the lip syncing seem worse than usual?

  3. There is only 11 episodes until Glee is finished forever so I doubt much will be changed at this point and time.

  4. I'm glad that the lip syncing wasn't just me! I mean, I expected it from the new people, I guess, but from someone like Lea Michele who's been doing this for six years? You'd think she'd have it by now.

  5. I enjoyed the episodes more than I thought I would, even with the weird sketchy moments in "Homecoming." I know it was a nod to the "Take on Me" video, but I don't think it needed to be carried throughout the episode. It seemed sloppy. The songs were very good, though. I particularly enjoyed "Problem" now that I could understand what the words were for the first time.

Mostly, I'm impressed with all the finagling they did to justify everyone's reasons for being back in Lima. Part of me wishes they wouldn't have brought EVERYONE back at once in "Homecoming", though. Yes, it was nice to see everyone back, but it didn't do any of the characters justice. I suppose we may get deeper looks down the line, but I was disappointed.

  7. Looser like me was a great episode tho i hate they screw everything up with Rachel's dreams and her dads but I enjoyed everything that went up. Except Rachel's pilot that was crap. Lets see how they will fix that fro the finale.
Homecoming was algo good. Everyone went back... for real the show is nothing without the original team. I so remembered Tina and her i kissed a girl days with her stuttered issues. I had completely forgot the the crazy clubs in that school lol
Who''s gonna go in the showers an persue football guy?
Rachel is the perfect to run the Glee club she is more annoying than Will she will get anyone to join xD
BTW Quinn's laugh that when she got out of that room whem told them she had slept with Santana was everything.
All hail the Holy Trinity of glee club. Santana, Quinn and Brttany <3

  8. I'm not expecting it to get any better now. I'd hoped that these two episodes would give me the hope for enjoying the final 11, but that hope's now diminished. I've gotten to the point where I'm just hate-watching.

  9. Pretty much my sentiments. The reunions are sloppiest when everyone comes back at once. They each end up with a few lines and aren't developed in any significant way. Maybe if one or two of them popped up at a time things would work better.

For the most part, I did enjoy the new characters. They're definitely more original than the S4 newbies, and I enjoyed the self-awareness of describing the football player as a post-modern gay. There's potential for each of these characters to break some barriers of their own. But that's the problem: there's not enough time left for me to be willing to invest in new characters enough to want to see them do great things not only for the story, but potentially have pop cultural effects on the real world as well.

And I don't think the show will be dumb enough to pay much attention to these new characters. Which begs the question: Why introduce them? Some assumedly imposed expectation for the show to follow the tribulations of high school glee clubs? I thought that's what the fourth and fifth seasons were thematically about -- 'Glee' being more than just a sub-culture, but rather a state of mind and camaraderie? Attempting to return to its roots has consequently devolved the show a great deal. Not that this show has ever shown a particular interest in its own continuity.

  10. This show lost me early in season 4, right after The Quarterback. I kept watching for a while but I found myself fast-forwarding the episodes so I gave up. I caught some season 5 episodes on repeats on cable and found them horrible. In terms of storyline, this show has been a narrative mess, and for what I've read about this final season, it continues to be.

  11. I liked it
I thought i was gonna be good, but then, it was like the beginning, i like the new guys, i like it
for you people. just give it a chance, if you dont like it, at least you'll know now, and give up

  12. I actually really liked it, nothing special, but it worked for me, better than the whole Season 5, that´s for sure. It´s seeing almost all the original cast members back.

  13. It was pretty enjoyable for the most, maybe this last season won't be as bad as I expected. Jane and Rodrick are already more interesting characters than the ones from S4.

  14. Well, it wasn't bad and I actually kind of enjoyed it, but it was extremely painful to watch some of the characters being miserable just to take them back to Lima: one example, Blaine being cut from Nyada and with Dave? Ugh!

This is from last year, but it's still stupid, Rachel leaving her Broadway show and her dream (now she wants it back?). I understand failure (her tv show) is part of life and work, and I like the idea of seeing her leaning that lesson and fighting to rise again (and I hope that's what will happen at the end and not just her being a teacher at MHS), but not that she left Funny Girl. That's totally out of character.

And Kurt? At least he's still a Nyada student, but are we supposed to believe he (and other students) is paying a whole year at that ultra expensive school just to work outside the school and learn NOTHING from them?

  15. That's why I stopped watching on 5x14.. It's just boring, and I love glee, but it's really boring, the good day stopped on season 4
