  2. So thrilled this show got a third season. And whoa, Eliza's acting during Clarke's breakdown at the beginning was absolutely amazing.

And it's so sad that Lexa lost the woman she loved.

  3. My feels! My poor feels! Poor Bellamy his face when she says he's worth the risk of dying. Oh clarke you couldn't have hurt him more the. If you had stabbed him in the heart. Live bellamy blake live and show her she doesn't have to close down, caring and loving isn't weakness

  8. This was a really good watch. It didn't top the midseason finale in my book but still, very solid.

    Two things of notable importance:

    1) the mentioning of 'the 12 clans'. This is the first sign so far in the series that there's something of a backstory for the Grounders, assuming they all descend from the 12 clans.

    2) Mount Weather's surveillance system. This was far more sophisticated than I imagined a post-apocalyptic base could have. Their interest in tracking the movements of the Grounders indicates to me that the Grounders concept could simply be a massive experiment.

Finally, excellent stuff between Clarke and Lexa. Television has crowned its newest queens. What I'm hoping Jason Rothenberg is aiming to do is to let both rub off each other, making Clarke a bit more authoritative and darker, while making Lexa more humane and sensitive to the value of life.

  9. I'm pretty upset with you Clarke girl. You have it all wrong. Love is strength and you are just upset and not thinking straight!!! It's amazing what the writers do with this show and darkness and moral dilemmas they are bringing all of us on!!

  10. Awesome!!!! Man I am glad it is back!!!

  11. No killing of Monty! I hope they get him out.

Awesome ep. And I'm glad Raven wasn't killed, too.

I like Lexa alot. I just hope Clarke will only temporarily shut off her emotions.

Can't wait for the big Mt Weather showdown.

  12. Awesome - like always!! It was so heartbreaking, and when Clarke said ,,Love is weakness'' to Finn (hallucination) and everyting. She gets more badass each week. Love this show. So happy it's been renewed.

  13. I just noticed one of grounders looked like the guy that plays Captain Singh on the Flash.

  14. Love is weakness! ha, Say that to all those end battles in movies, TV shows, anime, comics, manga, and books where they are won thru the power of love.

Since I was a Finn fan I don't find much meaning in it now, but since I rarely ever abandon a show, I will watch on, and hope that someone else brings hope in the show back for me.

btw how come we didn't here the distracting music the 47 played in the mountain when they were talking while they were talking. Shit like that get me some times. Like they made it known they were playing loud music so people around them could not here, so it should be valid that when they talking they would too hear the music and as would we. so yea where was it!

  20. The dynamic between Clarke and Lexa gets more and more interesting. Lexa reminds me a bit of an older, expirienced sister figure to whom Clarke looks up. It's a little ironic, if heartbreaking, that our girl clearly feels now more connection to the grounder leader than to her own mother, despite all Abby's efforts.
Bellamy is now obviously in second-in command position to Clarke (regardless his comment that he doesn't take orders from her), and it's sort of funny how easily he went with it, considering how it all started. That works well for them, since they seem to get each other on that basic level that doesn't require much talking. And it's nice the producers show through small details how consistent is his protective streak - I noticed he lately stays close to Raven, like he's trying to monitor how she's doing, then him giving this comment about why he knew Gustus was responsipble for poisoning... ( although I guess many fans will see it as Clarke-related statment, I think it came from his life expirience of protecting Octavia. Anyway, I liked it)
And please, don't let Monty die!

  21. It hurt to see Clarke tell her that Bellamy's life is worth the risk...but I'm surprised none of the Bellarke fans noticed that she said that she was being weak by not wanting to lose him...especially since earlier in the episode Lexa said that love is weakness. So in some small way, she kinda admitted that she loves Bellamy, and that's what made her weak earlier in the episode. In what way, I don't know...but clearly somethings there.

  22. Another brilliant episode! It was so heartbreaking to watch the transformation of clarke from a compassionate & emotionally vulnerable woman to a cold, emotionless & tougher one!
I cried a little when she send Bellamy away for the mission!

Intense episode! Eliza's acting was incredible, you could feel her pain in her silences. Clark is turning dark, damn, I didn't see that coming. it makes sense... but I'm gonna miss the real Clark so much. I feel that now that she isn't grieving properly, we will only get a shadow of the real Clark. It actually hurt when she told Bellamy that his plan was "worth the risk", as he was expendable and his life wasn't something valuable, his shocked-sad expression was heartbreaking!

There was a lot of interesting parallels in this episode:
    - Abby turning Jake in // Clark killing Finn
    - The Gustus/Bellamy parallel. He knew Gustus would do everything for Lexa because Bellamy would everything for Clarke as well.
    - The Grounder being lead by a child/ The 100 and the ark being lead by Clark, who is a child too.

I liked that Kane mentioned the fact that Clarke was the active leader. Before the ark landed on earth, I thought we would see the adults trying to keep the power and the authority they had in the ark and treating Clark and Bellamy with condescendence (even trying to imprison Bellamy because of his past) and the 100 rebelling to defend Clark, Bellamy and the "society" they've created. I was actually looking forward watching something like that, I miss the remaining 100 being together in their camp.

  28. At last got the chance to see The 100. Such an emotional episode. Thank god for Mt. Weather scenes which gave some break between all these heavy scenes. To see Clarke hallucinate Finn and him just standing there not blinking was creepy and sad. I liked that they did not drag Clarke/Raven feud. Lexa is awesome. The actress really impressed me especially in that scene where she killed her bodyguard. Eliza Taylor is simply awesome as Clarke. At the end of the episode there was a coldness to her when she said Love is a weakness. So good. And I really liked Kane acknowledging the fact that they are being led by kids. Abby is slowly loosing Clarke she once knew completely. In a way she started it with her decision to put Ark people over her husband. Loved it...

  29. I agree with you completely. But please remember it's CLARKE not Clark.

I miss that aspect of Season 1, and I don't like that they're delegating Bellamy to Clarke's right hand or "her knight". They were equals, co-leaders, that's part of why I need all the "delinquents" reunited. For the Grounders, Clarke was the leader but for the remaining 100, it was Bellamy. There was an equilibrium that isn't present now.

Anyway, I guess Bellamy will be reunited with them soon (but they won't be free and safe, I am afraid).

    ReplyDelete
  33. Agreed, miss them being co-leaders too but I'm not sure this will ever happen again, even with the original kids reunited. But I'm glad the 47 will have Bellamy there, they need him.

    ReplyDelete
  34. No! Nonono! "I thought you hated that plan. And that I would get myself killed." "I was being weak. It's worth the risk." Don't go that dark path, Clarke! "Love is weakness." Maybe. But it's also the only thing that gives us the strenght to go on and stay alive during hard times, that let us do things (for us and for those we love) we never thought we would be capable of, and sometimes it's the only light to lead us out of darkness.

And now they are all going to be separated again...
