Atlantis - Cancelled after 2 Seasons

24 Jan 2015

The final 7 episodes of Season 2 will still air at a yet to be announced date.

The final seven episodes of Atlantis will transmit on BBC One in spring. We would like to thank Urban Myth Films and all the cast and crew but the series will not be re-commissioned.

"We are very proud of both series but to keep increasing the range of BBC One drama we have to make difficult decisions to bring new shows through."

  1. I dropped this after the first episode of the second season, I would have binge-watched it when the season finished but I won't bother now.

  3. That's too bad. I didn't like the first season that much but they had really made great improvements to the show this year so I kept watching. To me it was just a fun show to watch on a saturday night though so I'm not that crushed about it being cancelled.

  4. At least Casualty is not the one axed. God knows the BBC kept on shuffling that show around, to the frustration of its viewers.

  5. Ouch! Not happy about this as I really enjoyed season 2. Far more than season 1.

  6. Awwww, I am disappointed . They tried to improve the show in Season Two and succeeded. Yes, it was kind of a dopey guilty pleasure for me but I shall miss Hercules and Pythagoras . And so much left unresolved like how one travels underwater to a desert.

  9. So a show like Game of thrones that is incredibly depressing and full of a doom and gloom atmosphere is a huge hit, meanwhile a show like this that is just about popcorn entertainment and fun gets canned. The hipsters strike again. Oh well, at least there's still The Musketeers.

  11. Well, that stinks. I hope Jason gets the girl and that they wrap everything nicely. I hate when shows that know they are ending leave you in the lurch.

  12. Hello,

I just signed the petition, "the British Broadcasting Corporation, Tony Hall, The Lord Hall of Birkenhead, Director General of the BBC: Reverse the BBC's decision to cancel Atlantis."

I think this is important. Will you sign it too?
