"Even through the darkest phase
Be it thick or thin
Always someone marches brave
Here beneath my skin

And constant craving
Has always been"
- Constant craving - K.D. Lang

The latest Stalker episode focussed on a psychiatrist being stalked by one of his clients. Also, Beth finally found out who her own stalker is.

The case starts when a psychiatrist, Dr Adam Lewis, finds a gift delivered to his office by an unseen person. Inside the box was a set of panties, and Lewis tells the TAU that one of his female clients, a paranoid schizophrenic, has been fixated on him for a while. WHen Jack and Janice get to her house, they find her in her car having nearly suffocated. A suicide note is present where she admits to stalking Lewis. However, upon further investigation it turns out she has an alibi and that she was attacked and put in the car. The TAU finds that Dr Lewis has generally positive reviews, except for one written by Shelly Walker. Her husband reveals that she hated Lewis because Lewis helped him overcome his drinking problems. Therefore, she wants to ruin his life. It turns out later that the husband was actually the one who was angry at Lewis for helping his wife with her drinking problems. He had an affair with Lewis' wife to find out everything about him, and now he is at Lewis clinic trying to kill him. The TAU intervenes, however, and saves Lewis' life.

Meanwhile, Beth shows the teddy bear she received last week, to her friend Tracy, who advises her to talk to someone. She later talks to Deputy Chief Diane Kindrick and she tells Beth to run forensics. Throughout the episode, Janice and Jack notice that something is off but Beth insists she is fine and that she just wants them to handle the stalking investigation. Finally, Beth sees Tracy with her boyfriend 'Brody' whom Beth immediately recognizes as Perry. She breaks into his place and sees the wall with all the pictures of her. Beth knows Perry is her crazy stalker.

I am glad Beth finally knows that Perry is her stalker. This really presents an interesting situation, because she knows what his endgame is. It also causes a conflict because Tracy seems to really love 'Brody'. So what is Beth gonna do next? Tell Tracy? Tell her colleagues? I don't think she can withhold this information much longer so I think she should tell her co-workers before things come to a blow. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind seeing Beth go full Nikita-mode as Nikita also used to do so many things on her own as the lone wolf that she was. Maggie Q can kick some nice butt, so feel free to kick Perry's!

The case of the week was so-so. It was interesting to have a therapist being stalked but I found the eventual stalker a bit far-fetched. It would have been more believable if his stalker was just one of his clients. On the other hand, his situation kind of mirrors Beth's as in both cases the stalker uses someone close to his victim to get information on his target.

What did you think of "Crazy for You"? Are you glad Beth finally knows that Perry is her stalker? What do you think her next move will be? Will she go after him all by herself? And what did you think of the psychiatrist stalking case? Sound off with your opinions and theories in the comments below.

  1. Thank you for clearing up what the present was at the beginning of the show. I couldn't see it clearly and thought it ;looked like a balloon.
I'm wondering how Beth is going to tell Tracy that her new boytoy has been lying to Tracy just to get close to Beth. I know Beth will do her best to avoid that because it would devastate Tracy, but Perry is sick enough to take pleasure in forcing it. I am also looking forward to learning much more of the backstory on Beth. It has been obvious since episode one that she was severely traumatized in the past. I find her much more interesting as a character study than Jack. I love the show, though, and can't wait for more.

  2. Great reviews. This show is criminally underrated. It's getting better and better and this episode was good. Not the best episode so far (The Halloween and the actrees episodes was the best) but really interesting.
