  1. That was the most christmassy CW episode at least the beginning was. There was tree decorating, christmas present sharing and Egg Nog :)

WoW, Barry has to chase down Reverse Flash. The Special effects are so awesome!

Rverse Flash: "It is your destiny to lose to me just as it was your mothers to die that night". Barry knows who he is? Intersting, using that stadium, this show just blows my mind.

My heart went out to Caitlin. This episode is very moving.

Firestorm is so awesome!! Barry seeing His fatehr at prison was heartbreaking, powerful performances, 'You were to consumed to let yourself have a life". "The man in the yellow suit has taken enough from us, don't let him take anymore".

Barry finally told Iris he loves her, "he couldn't lie to her anymore".

They got Reverse Flash and he wants to speak to Dr. Wells? Intriguing but then he beats up Wells. The special effects for Reverse Flash are just as awesome. Wow, this fight scene, thankfully Firstorm showed up to help but then told Caitlin to not look for him. Poor Caitlin. That was literally so cool when Firestorm blazed off in a blaze of fire.

Eddie is finally in the know about Metahumans. Dr. Wells promises to bring Ronnie home on his life, this felt really genuine, he really cares about his Star Labs crew. Loved the line "You've seen more darkness but never let it dim you soul", the dialogue on this show is really great.

Everyone at Joe's house for Christmas was nice. The man in yellow may have killed Barry's mother that night but there was another Speedster that night, this is so cool! What!! Dr. Wells has the Reverse Flash's suit? OH MY GOD! Merry Christmas?

  2. Im not sure I understand correctly. Is Dr. Wells the reverse flash or is he the second person cisco was talking about?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Holy F***ing Shit...that was beautiful.
and i thought last week episode was the best ever... i was so wrong .

    ReplyDelete
  4. OKAY. Okay. I knew it would either be Future Eddie or some version of Wells but I WANT TO KNOW HOW. And now we have to wait until JANUARY 20TH. What the actual hell. Damn. Great ep, though.

    ReplyDelete
  5. That end was a total let down they said it wasn't suppose to be obvious

    ReplyDelete
  6. "there was another speedster there that night"

    Black Flash

    ReplyDelete
  7. I thought the episode was amazing and on second thought wells might not be the reverse flash he might just have the costume I'm thinking instead of the second speedster being Barry It could have been dr.wells

    ReplyDelete
  8. I didnt any episode could top the pilot or crossover episode. I was wrong. This episode was EPIC! I knew Reserve Flash was either Dr Wells or Eddy.. Its Dr Well shady butt. Since I know this show is based on Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox comic and movie, we will be seeing some time traveling soon and maybe even a different reality.
Firestorm (Ronnie) is back and Caitlin found him.
I cant wait until a month and 20 days from now.

Holy shit that was awesome! Harrison Wells is the Reverse Flash!! (I think!!) He has the speed powers thats why he could changes his voice at the end! The reason that he was able to be not Reverse Flash with Reverse Flash in the room i think is that device maybe it like controls the suit to be like a robot if not in it and Harrison was controling it except for when he was in it. See I think he is really Eobard Thawne, Eddie's descendant from the future and come back. I think maybe that other speedster that was there that night was Jay Garrick

    ReplyDelete
  10. Awesome so does this mean Wells is reverse flash or is he the second person Cisco was talking about or is the second person Barry father now they introduce firestorm aka Ronnie will Caitlin turn into killer frost this season

    ReplyDelete
  11. let just say some traveling was involved and Barry is (or was) the second speedster in the past

    ReplyDelete
  12. SmallvilleSupernaturalCastle10 December 2014 at 02:13

I think because we see Wells with the yellow suit of the Reverse Flash pretty much confirming Wells is the Reverse flash the second person is still unknown. There was yellow and red lightning that night Wells as the Reverse Flash was the yellow im going to guess Jay Garrick (the first speedster that wore red from the comics before Barry Allen) was the red in that battle and maybe they were enemies and Garrick failed to stop Wells. Or my 2nd guess is its Barry who in the future will travel back in time to stop Reverse Flash and is the red lightning. Im hoping its Jay Garrick!

    ReplyDelete
  13. the answer to who is the 2nd speedster can be found in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

    ReplyDelete
  14. It's so obvious that the red electricity that was there the night Barry's mother died was future Barry.

Anyway, that was a brilliant episode, I'm interested to see if Firestorm joins the flash crew.

  15. Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

    ReplyDelete
  16. Or so we think, the show may not go the flashpoint direction

    ReplyDelete
  17. i read interviews stating this season is based on the storyline from Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

    ReplyDelete
  18. and yet I don't expect them to take every exact same step.

But in all honesty:I just want to see black Flash...only for my undead fix ^^

  19. Man this episode killed me! It was amazing!!! That was some beautiful stuff we got! Emotional, touching, so freaking sweet!!!

The scene at the beginning was soooo cuteeee! Barry was killing me. That present he got for Iris, awwww. And the turned extremely awkward when stupid Eddie walked in. But I had to laugh b/c Eddie felt so intimidated in that moment. Then he came along with his present and I kept saying, "please don't be a ring, please don't be a ring, please don't be a ring." Hahaha and it wasn't thank god! Ugh. Iris you made me sad in that scene. Seriously, I was cursing you out. Lol

Barry and his Father, omg. I wanted to hug him soooo badly, I had tears in my eyes and what Henry was the sweetest thing. He loves Barry soooo much and I love how Barry reacts to him. And he went straight to Iris and told her everything!!! And the way he put it, his entire declaration of love was just!!! (Touches chest) MY FEELS!!!! Goddd that was great. I was waiting for that. It was so pure. And for him to suck it up and STILL congratulate Eddie, ughh, that pained me. But he had to do it.

BARRY AND ZOOM!! EPICNESS!!!! I was going crazy!!! The side by side fighting!! Racing side by side. To see it in live action...DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!! Those effects were so bad ass!!! And I loved every minute of it!!! The stadium fight the end scene and then Ronnie, blowing that bastard away then exited!! AHH!!! That was awesome!!!

Cisco and Caitlin- I felt so bad for her, when she was talking to Cisco and said she wished Ronnie died that night. Shit that was powerful, that was deep. And I ached for her. I love her and Cisco's bond, and I look forward to more. And Kudos to Cisco! Addressing that Barry was there that night!!! I was wondering when they were going to bring that in. I look forward to seeing how Barry handles that. I wonder if Cisco will tell him or if Joe will tell him? But aww man, that's gonna crush Barry.

Barry and Joe- I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I. LOVE. THEM. These two, they hit it out of the park every single scene they have. Joe is SUCH a father to him. "The world may need the Flash, but I need my Barry Allen." Awww mannn, that's hands down my quote of the week!!! They are really great together. I forgot who was in charge of casting for this show, but they need like a...a...a cookie. Lmaooo! Give em like a whole pack of Oreos. Lol But Joe, tisk tisk, I wouldn't have told Eddie. Now he's gonna be THAT guy. You know the one. And Barry, awesome save for Joe!!!! Yeahhh take that Zoom!!!

The flashbacks were bitter sweet. I really enjoyed Nora. And the ending, absolutely loved the Christmas song, perfectly picked for that situation. I want to try the eggnog!

And finally....I F**KING KNEW IT!!! I CALLED IT!!!!!! YESSSSSS!!!! I KNEW IT! I'm soooo glad it was revealed!! They tried soooo hard to trick us with that scene, and the "Why didn't he kill me Joe?" Line.....But I stuck with my gut!!! As soon as he pulled out that ring, I yelled.

What a kick ass finale, seriously can't wait til next month. Now time for my other finale...Supernatural.

  20. Did anyone notice that "the man in the yellow suit" didn't attack Eddie he just looked into his eyes

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thawne and Zolomon, I guess the one that beat up Wells was Thawne

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm thinking Barry's Dad was the first Flash (so the red part of the blur) and was trying to fight off Reverse Flash. He was probably even the one that got Barry out of harm's way when it was all going down.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ok Dr. Wells has got to be the most confusing character in TV history. Did he just totally set up the whole "trap" plan to get that Mercury labs invention? And here I thought he cared about Barry. And he's all nice to Cisco with the "its not your fault" and Caitlyn with the "I swear on my life we'll bring Ronnie home" and in one of the earlier episodes he went looking for and killed that guy to protect the Flash.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I still don't think Harrison is the one who killed Barry's mom

    ReplyDelete
  25. Im so confused was dr wells the reverse flash and if so how was he beating himself up.

    ReplyDelete
  26. What you said. I've reading the comments and I still don't fully understand what happened.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The second person was The Flash himself. He went back in time, and he was the one who saved Barry.

    ReplyDelete
  28. No. It was Barry.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No it was Barry himself.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nope. It was Barry he went back in time.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Actually he doesn't his suit does. Just like in the comics originally.

    ReplyDelete
  32. If they keep to the Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash storyline, it would be due to RF being a descendant of Eddie Thawne and would cause a grandfather paradox

    ReplyDelete
  33. That's exactly what I thought, he saved the younger version of himself.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Also Grant said like a week ago in an interview that he asked the writers who reverse flash was and its not the popular fan theories and his mind was blown. So I think it's a little more complex than just wells=reverse flash

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good god that was epic. Wells will most definitely slip up eventually and I cannot wait for that slip up to cause suspicious from Barry.

The special effects were incredible and as much as I wish the Flash and the Reverse Flash fight to last so much longer it was a great fight.

It was a relief to Joe finally show some of the same level of affection he shows Iris. He always tells Barry he loves him in his own way but never actually shows it, not like he does with Iris.

And Barry finally telling Iris that he loves her was a good thing for me only because I only see them as siblings and as plausible as it is that he would develop feelings for her it still seems weird. Maybe that'll be the end of it for awhile. Despite the pulling feeling that they are the end game putting if off helps me a little, then maybe I can warm up to the idea.

The scene with Barry and his father was definitely one of my favorites, that wait was worth it. I cannot wait for Barry to get his father out of prison and change up the dynamic a little. Grant Gustin really shined in that scene and showed his potential as an actor.

The Ronnie/Caitlin part of the show was really nice to see. She deserves some of the time given to the show, as well as Cisco. I hope that we get at least some kind of backstory for them.

This show has so much promise and I am anticipating everything to come.

    ReplyDelete
  36. wait i'm confused what about the suit

    ReplyDelete
  37. I STILL BELIEVE THAT WELLS IS BARRY FROM THE FUTURE!!! WHOA FIRESTORM WAS FREAKING AWESOME, THE DUDE CAN FLY? AAA-WESOME LOL, the fights were so awesome zoom really hates Barry doesn't he geez

    ReplyDelete
  38. Okay he uses those particles that can spread up matter to impart kinetic energy to his suit. Basically he charges the suit and by wearing it, he has the Flash's powers.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This was an awesome episode!! One of my favorites but I'm hella CONFUSED Now!!

So is Dr. wells the reverse flash or is he future Eddie or are they the same people?? Maybe that's a stupid question but its whats going through my mind right now. Or is he the future Barry? This ep. just left me with more questions.

I'm so glad that Barry finally told iris how he feels...its about time:) That was one thing that did make sense!:D The scene with his dad was also really sweet!<3

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't think Dr. Wells is Reverse Flash and here's why: Reverse Flash is the same height as Berry Allen, however Dr. Wells is taller then Berry Allen. Even if Dr. Wells and Reverse Flash are from the future it still doesn't mean they are one and the same. The thing that gets me is, why does Dr. Wells have the Yellow Suit? That part was a bit confusing. I'm thinking that Wells is a good guy, a mysterious one with unknown motives but a guy that means more good then bad never the less. I mean after all he everything he's done has been to keep Berry safe (even if his methods where/are a bit crude and unorthodox).

    ReplyDelete
  41. That was so cool... It was so difficult to stay spoiler free this past week. But I am glad I stayed away from here. The special effects when Flash and Reverse Flash fought was just super awesome.. I am so confused about who is the RF. Harrison Wells has the suit but the RF spared Eddie Thawne. Whoever it was they were time travelling in this episode. My money is still on Eddie. I think Harrison Wells is someone who is wronged by RF (may be even created RF in the future but he went rogue) and he created and nurtured Barry/The Flash to get his revenge on RF. That's my theory. It's clear future Barry was also there when his mom died.

I loved how Barry's conversations with his Dad, the last conversation between him and Joe... aww... "the world needs The Flash but I need Barry Allen" and loved his confession to Iris. Barry/Iris scenes were mature and bitter sweet. Poor Eddie... You are so going to be dumped and turn evil. At least Eddie knows about meta humans now.

I loved loved firestorm special effects.. His clothes does not catch fire??? He saved Barry... I can't wait for this show to return. Hiatus sucks...

    ReplyDelete
  42. That was some good stuff.
The Flash and Reverse Flash scenes were really awesome, fun to watch.
The way Reverse Flash moved his head and talked man, I was like if that ain't Wells then he sure mimics him well. Then the end, he's got the Yellow suit.

Barry getting his feelings conveyed to Iris, was nice. At least we got that out of the way, now we don't have to worry about when will he tell her. Its her turn whenever. But till then I hope Barry feels free to enjoy life, and not feel the need to wait any more.

The Firestorm side of the story was a bit slow and hidden, but being able to see him fly off like that makes up for all that. Yea that was epic.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh really? Ok. My Arrow knowledge beyond the show is not very extensive so that was just my speculation

    ReplyDelete
  44. I had very expectations for this episode and it more than delivered. It was great.

    ReplyDelete
  45. -Dr.Wells was in the same invisible cell getting beaten by man in yellow suit,Dr.Wells was thru all time on the floor ("he is paralyzed") until Flash took yellow suited man outside/saved dr.W
    -Only two of them running
-at the end man in yellow suit runs away with only one coloured sparks.Red

-Who is then that other guy that stoped using "powers" 14 years ago and plans to start using them again?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Best episode of Flash. best performance of Grant Gustin, Jessy Martin and should i mention Mysteriously Tom Cavanagh?!
Reverse Flash, Firestorm. Ah God, how can i be patient for almost 6 weeks?!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Which definitely makes this a red herring.

    ReplyDelete
  48. thing is what RF stole, at the end of the ep was in Wells hands so...

    ReplyDelete
  49. That was certainly Barry trying to save his mother.

They didn't bring Tachyon particles into it to NOT time travel.

    ReplyDelete
  50. so if RF is Dr. Wells why would he now try to save Barry so desperately and encouraging him to train and push his limits....????????? what game is he playing?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I didn't think we'd get Reverse-Flash vs Firestorm so soon, but that was awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  52. And was beating himself up just to cover his identity... Wells is playing a very long game, I wonder if he is the Zoom who killed Barry's mother or whether someone else will get the suit off him in future.... all very odd .... can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Or that perhaps the writers have made Dr. Zoom and Reverse Flash two complete different people and that Eddie is the future Reverse Flash, Reverse Flash did tell Barry that they have already fought...and the answer to Flash for his identity is right in front of him....Maybe the suit Dr. Wells(Dr.Zoom?) has will be for the future Flash, meaning that Eddie is going to be using it one day..

    ReplyDelete
  54. I was thinking the suit is being prepped for the Eddie.....

    ReplyDelete
  55. As for Ronnie, I reckon he says he isn't Ronnie because someone else is in charge of his body... as in the comics more than one person fuse to form Firestorm and in this version I recon that both are in Ronnies body but Ronnie is a passenger of sorts at the moment. I'm wondering if it's going the Fire Elemental plot from the comics or another character will be introduced as the second person involved.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yeah I think that Wells created the explosion to ensure Barry would become Flash, and Wells is ensuring that Eddie will become the Reverse Flash.. Wells has all the things he needs to create a second suit for Eddie to receive.....I feel that maybe Wells could be Future Eddie..... he just most likely has the ability to disguise his face a bit....

    ReplyDelete
  57. Definitely agree with you. I'm really interested to see how it will look on screen, more than one person fusing to form Firestorm. Not sure if you know but they cast Victor Garber as the other half of Firestorm, he's playing Dr. Martin Stein.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Awesome midseason finale!

Awww, Barry gave Iris a replica of her mother's wedding band! That was so sweet. And I loved that he finally confessed that he loves her. It's been a long time coming :)

Caitlin broke my heart when she realized what Ronnie became. And Cisco comforting her was nice. I love their interactions and their friendship so much. Firestorm and his powers were awesome!! And the bit where Reverse Flash and Barry are fighting outside of Star Labs and he comes in and hurls a fireball at Reverse Flash to stop him and then blasts away was so freaking cool. Seriously can't wait until Martin Stein shows up.

Reverse Flash going head to head with Barry was hands down my favorite part of the episode. Those action sequences were so damn thrilling at the stadium, racing through the bleachers and then colliding with each other, and outside of Star Labs. It definitely isn't over between them.

Woah at there being two speedsters the night that Nora was killed. My theory is that Reverse Flash killed Nora and then Future Barry went back in time and tried to stop him or something. Should be very interesting to see this further develop. And I believe that Wells being the Reverse Flash is a smoke screen. It's just way too obvious. I still think it's Future Eddie. And yay to him finally knowing about metahumans! That was great.

These next 6 weeks without a new episode of The Flash is seriously going to make me go crazy. Can't wait to see the return of Captain Cold and Heat Wave in January!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Awesome midseason finale. I definitely love this show. I wasn't as awed as most were for the pilot but I really adore it now. I've gotta to say that although everything about this show perfectly works and is on point, its greatest strength is probably the great lead they have in Grant and the very relatable and lovable Barry Allen character

    ReplyDelete
  60. definetelly Wells is manipulating the events, i do have the feeling he's not working alone, maybe he's working with someone from the future. I loved everything about RF, he was badass, the fact that he never dropped his disguise, red eyes, and the sound he made were all very intimidating. Can't wait for more.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Somebody riddle me this, how is it that the Flash had to wear a friction-resistant suit due to being set on fire at high speeds but Ronnie, who's body is literally on fire can keep his clothes from burning?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I really loved the Barry and Iris scenes it's funny how he gave the best gift out of the whole episode I also thought it was funny how Eddie gets a shirt and Barry got that microscope. I'm so glad Barry finally told Iris how he and I like how he wasn't expecting her to break up with Eddie that's not what he wanted he just needed to tell her thenhe just told her he was sorry that's such a great guy of him especially the ending when telling Eddie he's happy for them you know if it was Eddie he wouldn't of did the same thing. I still don't believe Harrison Wells is The Reverse Flash I'm thinking it's actually Eddie you notice how The Reverse Flash just looked at him like he was looking in a mirror or at his younger self? And he didn't even bother to hurt him unlike the others I believe Harrison somehow got the in the suit maybe from Blackout.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm with you on Eddie actually being The Reverse Flash I'm not exactly sure on how it all played out but I think we'll understand it more in the second half of the season I mean why else would Professor Zoom look at Eddie like he's looking in a mirror and didn't even try to hurt him? Harrison seems like he's preparing Eddie to become Professor Zoom like how he created most of Barry's villains.

    ReplyDelete
  64. How he can do all these scenes especially the emotional ones is beyond me it's like he can just cry on the spot it was heartbreaking I think my favorite relationship other than Barry and Iris is Barry and Joe they have such a great dynamic and I'm glad we learned more about their past I guess his wife did die or left him.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think it could be four things

    1. Eddie is future RF and Harrison helps him be it
    2. Harrison is from future and he is RF
    3. Harrison some how knows RF and now he wants to be RF himself and came back in time to be it.
    4. He is a grey character and he wants revenge from RF in the future so he came back to alter the events.

I am still sold on no.4.. I think this guy will surprise us.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I agree, he is very talented. It's not just he cries on the spot but you can see everything that he's feeling on his face. The scene with his father broke my hear, you could tell that he was feeling Guilty and sad and lost. Barry and Joe's relationship is my favourite on the show, when he told Barry "the world needs the Flash but I need my Barry Allen" that line killed me. Is there a ship name for a father and son? like brotp? They should come up with one just for them.
I liked Barry and Iris a lot as best friends but didn't really ship them, but after that episode I'm so in which is awful because I didn't need a new ship to ruin my life :(
I think his wife died, if she left him Iris wouldn't be wearing her ring and Joe wouldn't be wearing his until today.

    ReplyDelete
  67. here is the way i think it would work out (bare in mind this is not what i say is going to happen but what i think)

    1. reverse flash (wells) and barry went back to the night his mother died and was fighting (explains the red and yellow streaks) barry saved his younger self but somehow it merged their life force together (explains the cut to barry in the middle of nowhere and his mother dead n barry with no memory of how he got there) and now wells looking 10 years into the future and seeing flash disappeared in 2024 is when they time traveled together

    2. with younger and future barry now merged it is slowly rewriting history hence why wells is so keen in keeping flash safe and making sure everything goes to plan as it would have normally otherwise anything could change the future and change his own life as reserve flash

    3. reserve flash staring at eddie and not killing him is a secret sign that the future is still changing and something is slowly changing wells from reverse flash into eddie becoming reserve flash instead of wells (im guessing barry declaring his love to iris) cause that happened before reverse flash escaped

    4. reserve flash said to barry 'we have been doing this for years (another slight hint that maybe younger and future barry are merged and reverse flash knows this) and this is why wells is so keen to get his hands on more speed and the tech to time travel and take barry with him back to the day future or to the past to stop them from merging

    ReplyDelete
  68. I did read that but wasn't sure if they were going to be sticking with the same idea as the comics given they haven't mentioned him in the show as being on site when explosion happened.

    ReplyDelete
  69. In the Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash storylines If Wells turns out to be PZ, He is
descendant of Eddie Thawne from the future so if he killed Eddie this would cause a grandfather paradox. But I'm also thinking of Eddie having some part to play as well, they are making him in to a very grey character at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm going with number 1 and I think that's the case it seems like he wants to create Flash's bad guys to test him I guess to make him a better hero like Zoom did but I also go with altering future events mainly Flash's death he wants to change that is what I think he wants because he really does care about Barry and I don't think he killed his mom to me it kind of seemed like he was testing Barry to see what and how he'd do against him.

    ReplyDelete
  71. yeah. how can he be beating himself?!
    also, why?
even if he has the ability to be at two places at the same time or making clones of himself or whatever, why beat himself up? it's not like anyone would suspect it was him. there were lots of people there...and it's not cuz he needed them to turn off the forcefield so he could steal that machine; he did pull, well,...himself into it, he went in and out, he can cross it, so why the beating?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yeah... I reckon we're supposed to think he's the Reverse Flash but the suit he has will be taken by someone else who will become the Reverse Flash and then come back in time, or it comes from a future after the Flash has defeated Reverse Flash and Wells has the suit - so he perhaps knows who is or will be the Reverse Flash.
