  1. So Marian unfroze with the Ingrid's death.

  2. I feel bad for Marian, she doesn't deserve this. What Robin did when she was frozen is awful. I love him and Regina but I can't forgive him for that.

  3. Same here!... I hope they find a nice way to make Marian look good, because she's the less blameable here

  4. I can't really fault Robin for moving on with his life. As far as he was concerned, Marian had been dead for the past 30 or so years.

  5. I don't either and I ship him with Regina but when Marian came back he should've told her that he is in love with another woman and that he can't be with her or stick to his decision of ending his relationship with Regina because as long as he was still with Marian even if she was frozen then everything going on between him and Regina now is considered cheating.

  6. right this show is dealing with adultery and they're making it sound like True Love when in reality it's disgusting

  7. i'm glad you feel this way because i thought i was the only one who doesn't like where they took Robin Hood and felt disgusted

  8. I like that the writers acknowledge that life's messy, and that as a human being you are sometimes torn between your feelings and your conscience. Robin tried to be honorable ... and sort of failed because his feelings took over. That's a common human condition - and I don't think we can fault OUaT for playing that type of storyline as well.

  9. Actually, they have addressed several times the fact that both Regina and Robin feel guilty about the situation. There's no glorification made - but rather the acknowledgement that they are in a difficult situation - time travelling magic and all taken into consideration ...

  10. Reading the comments, I am glad and relieved to see I'm definitely not alone in thinking this whole romantic triangle is unnerving because of its amoral implications. But something else is being overlooked by the fans which I believe to be just as bad, if not worse: the poor storytelling choice that was the usage of Marian this season. She was brought back in an unprecedented twist in the latest season finale, and I was excited to see how she figured into the show and the drama she would bring with her. And then they used her in two episodes early on in this new season and discarded her. She was sidelined for the majority of this arc because the "Frozen"/Snow Queen stuff took over, even though Regina's story pretty much revolved around finding a way to save Marian in several episodes. I'm pretty sure she spent episodes 4 and 7 sitting inside her vault... Couldn't they have kept Marian alive and well and stirring stuff up in the same amount of screentime? The way they handled her character was atrocious and a complete head-scratcher. Why bring her back in the first place if the drama about her is going to be merely tangential? And even though she's unfrozen in the winter finale, there's rumors going around the Internet that suggest Robin and Marian are written off briefly and absent from the first few episodes of the second half, presumably because, again, the characters will be busy with other stuff - i.e. three new Big Bads. They keep postponing actual juicy developments and stories they've already started to make room for other stories, which is getting to be a big problem with OUaT, letting its MVP guest stars steal the focus from the established, pre-existing characters. I love new characters and am always excited to see which iconic figures will be tackled next on this show, but there's gotta be a balance of some sort and the show never manages to tip the scales evenly. I, for one, am dreading the forthcoming Queens of Darkness. And I'll be sore if in the second half of the season Robin and Marian are pushed to the side again, if Snow White doesn't get an actual story and a centric episode, and even more so if Will's story doesn't gain momentum.

  11. That turned into a bigger rant than I intended for it to be, I'm sorry. :P

  12. either way they keep doing it

  13. in all honesty i don't know why they brought Will to Once Upon a Time if they're not even showing some sort revelations on his storyline, as much as i love him this is a disservice to him

  14. I'm really disgusted with how they are handling OQ....

I never really shipped them because of the absolut lack of build up (pixie dust, she saw the tattoo, booom true love in a week) so I never manage to care because I personally need more development and struggle in a romantic relationship (+ I don't care about RH and I think the actor playing him isn't that good.....) BUT I was ok (or just yeah whatever) with it because RH was actually a nice guy/hero and had the potential to be good for Regina.

But NOW...... The way they (the writers and Robin) treated Marian was awful. Because it IS cheating and adultery no matters the excuses they find.... like "Marian was gone for 30 years", no it was 3/4 because they were frozen for 28 (unless you're going to tell me Roland is a 30 years old guy trapped in a child's body), "but Robin loves Regina now", ok nothing wrong with that but then, don't choose to stay with Marian, only to cheat on her when she's not "available". Try at least A LITTLE to save her before you start something with your new love so you can break up with her the honorable way.
I love Regina and I know she's different now but the fact that Robin didn't give a single fuck about the fact that his current girlfriend was responsible for the death of his child's mother was a new low..... and now, seeing this script tease, you're going to tell me that Marian will give them her blessing? Because they make "heart eyes" at each other? It will be ok that her husband cheated on her with her "killer" while she was sick/frozen when (for her), just 4 days ago, she thought she was happily married.....
There was a thousand ways to make OQ happen even with Marian in the picture but they chose to take this one.....

I know being angry about adultery and cheating when literally 3 of 4 of the main ouat couples have a murderer in them seems petty but I can't help it. This is a shitty situation and I don't know how I will ever support OQ after this mess....

  15. Yes, as it is right now it's just odd. I gotta be honest, at first I kinda loved how Will provided comic relief without affecting the main story much, cos it reminded me of Cordelia's role in the first season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". But that was only really fine for a few episodes. Now, the first half of the season is next to done and he has yet to assert himself as a main character. There's not even word of whether or not he's in the winter finale. I hope he is and that there's a hint as to what's going on with him. Don't get me started on his cameo in "Shattered Sight" when he was instantly knocked out and we actually heard those damn "chirping crickets" sound effects... That was lame.

  16. Not 30, 3/4 years, they were frozen for 28! And yeah I agree that's it's ok to move on, but then, don't choose to stay with your wife only to cheat on her when she's not "available". Try (at least!) to save her THEN brooke up with her and date your new love.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes. I don't even know why they brought her back.

  18. I don't even know why they brought Marian back. I am totally rooting for OQ, I just wish they would have created drama another way without disturbing the dead.

    ReplyDelete
  19. They are trying to romanticize their relationship and making Marian look bad so we would sympathize with them, but no matter what spin they put on it, it's cheating there is no way I'll see it differently.

  20. "They" ? Referring to whom exactly? Robin was transported over to Storybrooke, along with the rest of the Enchanted Forest when Regina (Evil Queen) cast the original curse (Season 1). She cast that curse sometime -after- she killed Marion. For around 28 years, Storybrooke was "frozen" in time, but people weren't frozen like Anna/Kristoff and Arendelle were. They had their lives, but were blissfully unaware of what had happened to them, or why time wasn't moving forward.

And Regina would've been with Robin long before the curse, if she had listened to Tinkerbell (when she saw him inside the pub). Instead, she backed out and lied to Tinkerbell, causing Tinkerbell to lose her fairy wings etc.

  21. Not cheating at all. Since you forget the time travel element that brought Marion to Storybrooke. Marion was executed by the Evil Queen long before Storybrooke even existed. It was due to time travel, allowing Emma to unknowingly rescue Marion from the past, and bringing her to Storybrooke. From the point of view of Robin, and his son... Marion had been dead for many years.

I'm sure Marion feels she's been cheated on, and to an extant, she has. But not according to "history", since she's supposed to be dead.

  22. "sound like true love". Because it IS? Regina was supposed to go into the pub and meet her true love long ago (according to Tinkerbell). That person in the pub, was Robin Hood. Instead, Regina backed out because she was afraid, and lied about it to Tinkerbell (which is why Tinkerbell was punished by the other fairy's)

  23. Evidently, you haven't been following along in the storyline since the show began. Specifically, look at the time travel episode where Marion was supposed to have been executed, but then saved by the "savior" Emma. Marion was supposed to die (and DID die according to the original timeline). Cheating on a dead person?

She might be alive and well now, but for all intents and purposes, she's supposed to be dead. And from Robin's perspective, she's been dead for a very long time. Neither he, nor the people of Storybrooke were "frozen" for 28 years. Time stood still, but they all had their lives (and unaware of time being stopped).

    ReplyDelete
  24. Actually no. Robin was "frozen" in the FTL. He wasn't in Storybrook during the 28 years... He was in the part of the land that was protected by Cora....

So, to take your condescending words on your other post : "Evidently, you haven't been following along in the storyline since the show began."

Like you said, time wasn't moving forward so it wasn't 28 years for them, unless your going to tell me Roland has the mind of a 30 years old guy.....

Anyway, this isn't my issue with Robin/OQ. It's perfectly ok to move on after 4 years (or 28, it doesn't matter). The problem is all the wrong and disgusting choices he made when Marian was frozen. I wasn't anti-OQ/anti-Robin at all before that.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The time doesn't really matter. MariAN ISN'T dead right now, HE chose to honore his vows then he DID cheated on her. It wasn't cheating in S3B, but it absolutly was in the vault scene.....
And yeah, I've been following along the storyline since the show began.... more than you it seems, so you can keep your patronizing tone.
