  1. Ok I do like this season (although Oliver needs to calm down gosh. He's like so grumpy al the time) But doesn't Barry know that Oliver used to kill a bunch of people. But I guess seeing is believing lol.

  2. I agree with both of them! They both have a point but I am agreeing with Oliver more, sure Barry your mom got killed in front of you but watching his mother get murdered was just a drop in a see of misery in which that Oliver has been living for almost 8 years now.

technically Oliver has not torture anyone.......more likely just cause fear to get them to talk

  4. Ollie needs some action on the side with Felicity and everything will be fine. ;-)

  5. I think I see that he stabs the guy with an Arrow so yeah that's torture. And he has tortured people before.

    ReplyDelete
  6. He probably shot him with an arrow. But come on Barry you were defending him when they said he is a killer but shooting bad people with Arrows for information is where you draw the line?

    ReplyDelete
  7. eh just because you went through a lot of bad things doesn't really give you an excuse too do it. But I thought it was funny how Oliver was like "I'm not as emotionally healthy as you"

    ReplyDelete
  8. To be fair it's more than bad things, they are the kind of things that destroy people and take away their humanity but I agree it doesn't give him the right to do bad things, but how else is he going to get results? It's not easy being a hero with no powers.

"I'm not as emotionally healthy as you" that line got to me too, I have no idea how is this man still standing. I'll say it again, Oliver is going to break down eventually and it won't be pretty.

  9. Yeah I agree and I know that Oliver went though things that can take away one's humanity, which Barry of course has never gone though so I can understand why Barry can't see things from his point of view. So I definitely understand the argument from both sides. And yeah I really think Oliver is going to breakdown eventually. He really isn't emotionally stable.

  10. I have to agree with Oliver. They both do things differently and Barry just has to accept that. Your not in Central City anymore Barry. Like Oliver said this is a dark place.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I see where Barry is coming from but I am on Oliver's side here. Central City villains even with their powers look like kittens in front of Starling City's bad guys. There is always a sense of danger and for revenge they usually decide to level a whole city. Even an one off villain like Mayor in season 2 caused so much havoc. Heck the lamest criminal that came to Starling must be Felicity's ex boyfriend and he caused so much loss to Starling City. Oliver's emotional health is just one reason for the brutal methods of Arrow. It's Starling City that makes such methods necessary.

Why does SA always look off to the side when he delivers dialogue? Is he reading the words off of a board or something? It is very distracting when he can't seem to maintain eye contact with the person he is speaking to.
That said I LOVE BOTH OF THESE SHOWS!!!

  13. Arrow has a lot more edge and has higher stakes fromvthe begginig. The Flash villains doesn't have goals doesn't drug kill or turn people into monsters they are just to one sided( with exception of Captain Cold).
Barry has a good point but you can't compare the 5 years Oliver had and the teasing Barry suffered. Tousand of miles away.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm not sure if it's an Oliver thing or if it is just Stephen, but he usually doesn't maintain eye contact for long.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think all of the actors in this show has some of these quirks. Stephen looks sideways when he delivers a serious dialogue, KC looks far away with a blank stare, deep breath and open mouth in almost every episode, EBR has this deep breath thing and tightening her throat muscles before giving a dialogue, Colton Haynes muscles on face usually never moves, Willa always tilts her head and the list goes on.... These are average actors on an average show with some great extra ordinary moments and story telling.

  16. "I'm sorry Barry I'm not as emotionally healthy as you are" that line cracked me up hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  17. Exactly. Starling City villains are scary and stakes are so high there. We already lost three people close to the team in 2 1/2 years. We know any of our favorite characters might die anytime. So they cannot afford the time to sweetly question every guy who has information. Oliver's emotional health was the reason he killed people left and right in season 1. In season 3 imo his methods has more to do with the state of the city than his mental state.

Most of the flash villains are juiced up untrained guys where as Starling City is swarming with organized crime. Even Captain Cold is just a ruthless thief without that cold gun. A single guy not a mob.

  18. "Colton Haynes muscles on face usually never moves" Jajajaja Poor guy xD

He's still way better than he was on Teen Wolf, tbh.

  19. And truth to be told Team Flash has it to easy. Their villains are reckless and Cisco and Caitlin have a to easy job to find them. I mean did Barry question anyone?
By episode 8 of season 1 Oliver was at court, dated a assasin killer and faced China White and others. I mean of course Flash needs time to grow but they focus to much on Wells and some unimportant metas, not giving development to any of the characters. I liked last night cause almost everyone got some sort of development.

    ReplyDelete
  20. in the first few episodes of Arrow he faced mostly unimportant villains too. Even China White wasn't that significant of a character.

    ReplyDelete
  21. wow what an important moment for Oliver. See I knew Barry is going to help Oliver too, even if it will not happen all in this episode. so looking forward to them teaming up, agian (but not too often).

    ReplyDelete
  22. "I'm sorry Barry, but I'm not as emotionally healthy as you are."

Yeah, Oliver, you got that right. I'm looking forward to Barry doing some truth-telling.

  23. Apart from Plastique they never felt down after an episode. Also till now it has been an easy ride for Team Flash. I want an episode where they have to make a morally questionable choice regarding their villains. Till now Wells has done all the dirty work for them and smoothed their paths. They need more tough villains instead of bank and museum robbers.

  24. Come on! Do you knwo how hard is to find none-supernatural DC villains??? Especially without entering into the Batman or Superman -verse? Really hard. They always have to do a preselection. Even now when they choose Ray Palmer they are tip toeing around him like hot lava

  25. It's like my day wont be complete if I don't make fun of CH's acting. To be fair he is way better this season than all two seasons combined. I love the guy off screen :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm just disputing your argument lol. Most of the villains for the whole season were very unimportant obscure villains that were easily defeated by Oliver.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yep questionable choice is just what we need. But with Ronnie around the block its bond to happen.
Flash feels underwhelning in that department and the show losses it's edge at moments. I hope they will step up their game, post midseason.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Why so serious Ollie??

    ReplyDelete
  29. Deadshot, Royal Flush Gang, China White and Huntress I think are very solid choices for the start of a season(First 8 eps). But again that is just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh Barry. Don't be a childish pansy.

    ReplyDelete
  31. EBR has to work a bit on her crying scenes as well, because sometimes when she gets really emotional/dramatic she looks like she is going to throw up.

SA also has the "Amell pause" in his more dramatic dialogues...he stops for a while to let the line sink in, and then he continues. I promise you, if you take a sip of wine/swig of whisky every time Stephen does "the pause", you'll get drunk pretty fast!;-)

I think the best thing is to not pay too much attention to these actor quirks, because after a while that's all you notice, at least if you watch each episode several times. To be fair, even A-list actors have their mannerisms....it's just that their overall acting is so good that you don't notice them that much.

  32. you really think that? honestly i'm surprised he didn't go off the reservation when Sara was killed

    ReplyDelete
  33. well they're still trying to understand each other's methods but Starling City and Central City are different places

    ReplyDelete
  34. I do. Sara's death affected him a lot but as usual he just kept everything down which is so not healthy and won't end well.

    ReplyDelete
  35. No he's not. He just keeps repressing his emotions and doesn't deal with them and that's going to catch up with him soon. I just hope that it won't be when he's with the league because Ra's will definitely take advantage of that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That was a rude awakening for Barry and I'm totally with Oliver on this one. Wake up Bare.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Stop kicking Arrow when he's down. Can't something nice happen/somebody be nice to him before he goes away at the midseason break?

Maybe Barry does need to have a harder life, where his enemies don't just walk away with the diamond and laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Because he is showing that he is too insecure to make eye contact. He's been doing it since season one, and it has gradually changed based on who he is talking to since then. When he really opens up and makes eye contact, it is more impactful. He uses it to show trust and vulnerability. But it all stemmed from the damaged PTSD Oliver we met in the pilot who could barely look his mom in the eye when he got back.
