    It's not Ward's concern that he kidnapped Skye (again)? Yeah, he's so working with Coulson to bring down Whitehall/Hydra.

    And LOL, I need Skye to essentially kidnap Ward three times so they're even.

    Too many things are adding up - Coulson doesn't seem to care that Ward apparently "murdered" his family (still not buying that they're actually dead), he escaped too easily, and Coulson isn't expanding too much energy into looking for him. He's super chill about the whole thing and it's just weird so I'm over 100% sure they're working together.

    afl;jagsdkjaskd JUST FOUR MORE DAYS! I honestly can't wait for this midseason finale and see how much it's going to change the show moving forward. It's all going to be epic. And Skye and The Doctor finally confronting will surely be intense. So many great things to look forward to on Tuesday!

    OR it's not Ward's concern that he kidnapped Skye because he's so sure if he keeps this promise to her that she'll love him again for it. Ward's not interested in taking down Hydra, Ward is only interested in getting what Ward wants, and that's Skye's love. But Ward has never felt true love before, so he's warping this "promise" he made to Skye into something romantic. It's not romantic, it's creepy. I just rewatched "Only Light in the Darkness" and you know who Ward reminds me of? Marcus Daniels.


    I think the reason Coulson isn't going after Ward is because he's got bigger problems. Hydra. Alien cities. Ward's brother claimed responsibility for Ward when SHIELD handed him to the FBI. Ward is not his mission right now, stopping Hydra before they can get the diviner to the temple is, and I'm pretty sure if he trusted Ward to infiltrate Hydra for him, he wouldn't be in such a hurry to blow things up.

    When he says "That's not my concern" IMO he's referring to Sky's "[...]it didn't end well for you". Or am I wrong?

    Current theory;
    - Ward faked the death of his brother (The Senator) in order to prove his allegiance to Whitehall
    - Ward and Skye's Father will work together to take down Whitehall
    - Ward will end up betraying Coulson at some point

    I have a feeling this episode will not only change the show moving forward, I think that this could alter the entire MCU. What I really want is for something to happen on the show that will reverberate to the films in a major way so all the haters out there will stop treating the show like the bratty baby sister that they want to ignore.

    I believe Ward is planning to bring Whitehall/Hydra but I don't think he's working with anyone else except for maybe Skye's father. Of course Ward is mentally ill so it's very hard to understand his motivations. But I do hope that he is doing this for himself and not doing it to win brownie points. But I wonder if he is psychologically healthy enough to understand that.

    I wish Coulson had gotten his mentally ill prisoner some therapy after he tried to kill himself three times. I'm pretty sure that would have changed a lot of things.

    I still don't know how the man is still standing after thirty straight years of abuse, tbh, but no wonder he's mentally ill after all of this (the constant gaslighting from Mama Ward, Christian, and Garrett certainly didn't help).

    Unfortunately this is a case of art imitating real life. My father works as a volunteer at a federal prison and too many times prisoners are not provided with real tools to help with rehabilitation including psychiatric help. I'm currently working on a fanfic where I'm tweaking some of the MCU to make sure my favorite pairings and characters get something better and Ward getting psychological help is one of the things that I'm going to do in that story.

    Both. I use the same username on both. Actually I use the same username everywhere on the Internet. The story is going to be part of my ongoing series in a world like this. However I probably will do this story with Ward and his therapist as a separate one shot from my main serious. Basically Ward's therapist may be the only person who sees something that could be redeemed at first because right now in my serious everybody is still angry at Ward because of what happened to Fitz. They are too close to everything and cannot see things objectively so I'm planning to bring an outsider who can. I'm waiting until the midseason finale to start posting parts again. I wanted to see how the inhuman thing pans out before I start intertwining my own plot again.
