Here’s an early Christmas present for How I Met Your Mother fans: Alyson Hannigan is returning to CBS, albeit for one night only.
Hannigan has signed on to guest-star in the Eye network’s rookie Thursday-night sitcom The McCarthys, TVLine has learned.
She'll appear in the Dec. 18 holiday-themed episode as Pam, Marjorie and Arthur’s upstairs tenant who is sweet, but fresh from a break-up and broken-hearted. In order to cheer her up, Marjorie invites Pam to join the family for Christmas Eve, however, as Pam watches the McCarthys play their very competitive annual gift-exchange swap, she is shocked by how the family treats each other.
The gig reunites Hannigan with HIMYM’s longtime director Pam Fryman, who serves as an EP/director on McCarthys.

ReplyDeleteNah it'll probably be dragged along until Christmas and then be replaced in Jan/Feb.
