  1. Shirts on fire... mmmkay....

  2. I think that is a nod to the Felicity Smoak in the comics. Firestorm lets her cloths disapear in public (and she sues him).

  3. So Barry didn't know that they were coming and Oliver showed up at the crime scene in full Arrow mood, that's so cool :D and how in the world did Felicity's shirt catch on fire while standing in the middle of the room?!!!
I knew Barry would get infected and turn on Oliver but hearing him say those things to Oliver really hurt, for two reasons, First, felt bad for Oliver and second, I don't like evil Barry :(
and apparently those fight scenes are the ones when Stephen kicked that air's a** lol

  4. I think Barry uses his speed to bring her to Star Labs. And then something happens.

    ReplyDelete
  5. So? He's been carrying people while using his speed since the pilot, why is this time any different? Maybe the distance was longer this time? Usually he just carries them for few meters AND his clothes sometimes catch on fire when he runs in them for too long, hmmmm (thinking deeply) lol

    ReplyDelete
  6. Looks like Barry gave Felicity a ride..Lol..

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well we know something will affect Barry in 1x08 maybe that is the begining. Just random ideas lol.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Or it was just a scene to please the fans and we are killing ourselves trying to rationalize it lol

    ReplyDelete
  9. True lol . But its such a long wait till Tuesday lol. Its the best way to speed up the time.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Do you think we will have any shreds of sanity left by the time those two episodes air? lol

    ReplyDelete
  11. I thought so too, oh well what can you do?
    hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  12. lol was thinking the same thing, just caught me off guard is all...

Cue Oliver (and probably everyone else) walking in right then. Oliver would officially have the worst timing. First he walks in on her kissing Ray, then soon after walks in while she's shirtless with Barry (even though the situation seems innocent enough) For a split second his mind's gonna race. The man's gonna have an aneurysm.

  13. I think I read somewhere that he's not going to be present during that scene but I want him to notice that she changed her clothes lol

    ReplyDelete
  14. I heard rumors about Cisco & Caitlyn coming in.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I AM SO EXCITEDDDDD. these episodes look so good!

  16. Yes but no Oliver, I think he and Dig are still at the abandoned field when they gave Barry the boomerang, I think that's the scene in the promotional photos with the Big Belly Burger takeout in front of Felicity and Dig, apparently he will go to start labs and take Felicity with him and that's when Dig will see him use his powers for the first time since according to the Q&A videos from the screening David said he threw fries in the air and that he was jittery from drinking a lot of soda lol

  17. Should be a lot of fun either way. I'm just really pumped to see the epis! The dynamics between the two teams, the tones the shows are gonna take with the different personalities clashing and blending together, just everything about the crossovers have me giddy... It's gonna be a long bloody week lol

    ReplyDelete
  18. I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!!!!! This week is going to be unbearable.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think after this airs I'm basically going to want every episode to be a crossover event. I can't wait to see them fighting each other, I wonder what Oliver will do to stop Barry...

    ReplyDelete
  20. I love Evil Barry! Here hoping Oliver kicks his ass. Having Oliver beat Flash would be a cool way to ground the series. :B

I want to see Joe's reaction to The Arrow and Diggle's to The Flash. Also, Quentin won't be too happy knowing he has two vigilantes on Starling Jajaja

LOL at that Felicity/Barry scene! He probably take her too fast just to show off what he can do(maybe to compete with Oliver?). She's wearing a leather jacket, and on the pilot, Barry's leather jacket get fired up. Remember his suit is prepeared for high speeds, normal clothes aren't. After all, he's kind of a show-off.

  21. My dash on Tumblr is exploding with gifs of this scene only lol

    ReplyDelete
  22. Felicity...in...a....bra....*breathes in heavily*....FINALLY

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't think many people are more interested about the storyline, but I want to know how Team Arrow concluded that Captain Boomerang would be in Central City.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm hoping that we will either get a scene of them in Starling or they will explain to Barry how they found out that Boomerang was in Central City when he asked "what are you doing in Central City?"

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh god the gifs makes it look more funny...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Stop putting scenes together. I don't want any more spoilers for this episode... Why is tuesday so far away also why did CW decide not to air Flash and Arrow on the same night? I love the 100 but I want my superheroes on the same night.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Barry's reaction when he realized what he was doing is priceless lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. He is an ARGUS operative, so they know who he is... And they have this crazy(unrealistic) face tracking system xD

    ReplyDelete
  29. Muahahahahahaha, if you don't want more spoilers about the episode then you are in the wrong website lol
That's exactly the reason why they didn't air them in the same day, so they can use Arrow to promote the 100 and so that both of them could have the 8 pm slot and also I think they didn't want people to compare the 2 shows to each other. I'm thinking of waiting to watch Flash Vs. Arrow until the Brave and the Bold airs and watch them together like a big awesome movie but I'm not sure if I have this much will power lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. Felicity's shirt is on fire :))) I think it's the moment when she was with Diggle and had belly burger (according to promotional photos and she wears same clothes). and Barry just wants to show Diggle how much he's fast and he got felicity a ride to prove it. :D

    ReplyDelete
  31. I get all of that. I am just saying I want to know how they ended up tracking Boomerang in Central City when the only time we see him is killing an ARGUS agent in Starling City. I hope the episode doesn't explain that front and it's just "Oh hey, we're after so-and-so."

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would much prefer The Flash's episode starting in Central City, then going to Starling City where Felicity picks up on a murder, the same way that guy from ARGUS died in "Draw Back Your Bow".

    ReplyDelete
  33. Actually it's been seen before. Where she got shot in season 2. But yeah it's going to be great.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well assuming Barry's getting more powerful, soon his connection to the speed force should just protect him anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Like you can wait that long. Ha.. Pigs will fly..

    ReplyDelete
  36. Barry's face 90% of the time in The Flash is priceless and adorable. He is my baby face hero.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Why did you do this? Now my stubbornness is going to kick in and I won't allow myself to watch it :(

    ReplyDelete
  38. That'll probably be the set up for rewatch.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The aura can be used to protect others while running?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Felicity's clothes are on fire? Really? Sorry. That is too silly for me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. That's what I thought when I saw the first promo....but I'm still gonna want two episodes a week.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Barry wears that specific suit that Cisco perfectly designed for a reason you know... so his clothes don't get on fire like how his shoes did in 1x04.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Was he dragging her by her shirt along the ground behind him?

None of the other people he carries (how he can ever pick them up is beyond me) catch fire. It is a silly joke to get Felicity's shirt off and it is just too silly and contrived for me.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I believe so. But again Barry's powers are really weak as of now and I doubt he has much of a connection to the speed force, so it's reasonably justified that he doesn't have it right now. That or the writers aren't incorporating it. Which I doubt given the use of time travel and producer comments.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well, i for one hope they tone his powers down. I know he will be like the "Superman" of the TV Universe, but if they write him as powerful as "Comic book Flash", it will be weird.

I get doing time travel, but i don't want for Arrow to be diminished by him. Remember that Arrow has a lot of the grounded atmosphere of Nolan's Batman.

That's why a) You make Oliver fight meta-humans for time to time and go Sci-Fi Tech or b) Don't make Barry as powerfull.

Seeing they went with Ra's for Season 3 i would believe they are gonna go meta-human on Season 5 going forward. How many "grounded" villains can he fight that could represent a greater challenge as Ra's?

They can do Checkmate/OMAC(I think Season 4 is going there, with Oliver going to Russia on the flashbacks) but what else is worst than that?

Especially if they're doing cross-overs and eyeing a third show(i'm pretty sure it's gonna be Green Lantern's Hal Jordan) to go "alien" when they burn all the meta-human storyline.

If both shows are gonna go for 7-10 years, you must evolve the threats.

  46. I really don't know why this is so surprising to you. It's all physics. It depends on the distance and how fast Barry is going. All the times Barry carried Iris, she was STILL in the same building and I doubt Barry went that fast considering he didn't have much room/area to run.

    ReplyDelete
  47. "It's all physics"? Are you trying to use logic to justify this? That is not helping your case. Because unless you are going at re-entry speeds (which Barry certainly is not) wind resistance is negligible for the generation of heat from friction. I don't care about reality reality (where crap like the "sonic punch" is absurd and friction proof suits don't exist and absolute zero can't be achieved). I care about show reality. And in show reality, Barry has run people off of buildings and to hospitals and around theaters and out of crashing trains at high speeds and all of them get to their destinations fully clothed. I'm not "surprised" that they would go for a silly joke against all logic, I'm peeved at the puerile depths to which they are sinking for it. In this direction lies other winners like farting/sonic boom jokes.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Wells keeps saying that he's trying to get Barry to reach his full speed. We've been seeing Barry training to reach this goal. Haven't you wondered how Barry was able to run in the pilot with his clothes ON and NONE of it got burned? but then in 1x04, his shoes got burned. Barry Allen is suppose to be faster than the speed of SOUND in the comics. He's slowly getting there. He's getting faster and faster every day, thus making this true in "show reality".

    ReplyDelete
  49. Okay, I'm sorry. I assumed when you said "it's physics" that you understand the concepts of friction and drag. The calculation of drag increases with speed as air compresses. At subsonic speeds, heat created by drag (friction between a solid and gas--air) is negligible. At supersonic speeds (like when the space shuttle re-enters the atmosphere at mach 25 (or more than 25x the speed at which Barry has ever basically run), air molecules compress and actually break apart releasing energy as heat. At those speeds, like 17,500 miles per hour, you have to worry about flammability. The coefficient of friction (solid-solid interaction, like Barry's shoes which touch the ground) is relatively constant regardless of speed. This leads to 2 points 1) Since Felicity's shirt is only touching air, unless he starts dragging her, she isn't experiencing friction and her clothes shouldn't be getting hot. She is in more danger of them blowing off than catching fire and 2) Barry's shoes while experiencing the friction of him running along the ground are made of rubber which burns at like 950 degrees, so his shoes shouldn't have started smoking because anyone who watches races knows that rubber melts first. But it is funnier to have Felicity "Smoak" say they are on fire and smoking. So no, I've never wondered why his clothes don't catch on fire, it is illogical for them to do so.

  50. Personally I'd love full exploration of Barry's powers, as it'd be great visually and to see him at his best fight Zoom. So awesome. But get why some might not want that.

    ReplyDelete
  51. In the comics, Barry is so fast that "he beats air friction". His bio electric aura alone is that powerful. http://www.themarysue.com/agent-of-style-flash-pt3/ and that's what I meant by physics was that Barry is literally faster than air friction. So i'm guessing you're not a comic book reader lol

    ReplyDelete
  52. No, I prefer actual physics to made up comic book physics. That makes no sense. Drag isn't moving. It is just the air molecules existing in a space. That's like saying I can move faster than that sofa so the sofa doesn't exist anymore. It is nonsense. But it does address my point of in-show reality, in the TV show, nobodies' clothes are catching fire when Barry carries them (and they shouldn't) so Felicity's clothes shouldn't either.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well I mean meta humans don't exist in real life either LMAO You have to remember it's a supernatural tv show. I'd think it was stupid too had we not already seen this before but Barry's leather jacket was sizzling in 1x01 and Felicity is wearing a leather jacket in the promo. At least they're being consistent.

    ReplyDelete
  54. You are the one who brought up physics like it was an answer to something.

I'm the one saying they aren't using actual physics.

I think the joke is puerile and annoying. And no amount of made up comic book crap is going to change that they wanted a half-naked Felicity joke so they set her clothes on fire.

    ReplyDelete
  55. When I brought up physics, I was going by the comic's version of physics which is the same kind they use on the show. I meant that Barry is literally faster than physics. He beats air friction according to comics.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Then next time you want to make an argument that is based off of comic book cannon, you should say clarify that you are talking what occurred in the comic books, not "it's physics." When I say physics I mean an actual field of scientific study that is universally applicable, when I say comic books I mean made up stories and rules that only apply to a specific fictitious situation. Which is how I clarified in-show reality vs actual reality. But again in the show, everybody but Felicity does just fine keeping their clothes on.

PS. You can't be faster than a field of scientific inquiry. Science doesn't move as it isn't corporeal.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I thought it went without saying.... he's a man that has supernatural speed faster than the speed of sound. The show is supernatural and based on the comics. I might have worded it with a little judgement so I can see why it made you defensive.

p.s I fail to remember the other times we've seen Felicity without her shirt other than 2x14. To claim "everybody but Felicity does just fine keeping their clothes on" is assuming that Felicity has been shirtless plenty of times which is inaccurate. We've seen Felicity shirtless ONLY twice in 3 seasons. Unless I'm wrong...
